Jou had been about to open the refridgerator's door when he noticed what Ryou was doing. He blinked a few times, wondering why Ryou wanted to do this now. He turned away from the fridge to look towards the sink. "You want help with that?" he asked. He could at least help clean a few plates before he went and used one for himself.

Ryou looked up from the dishes and towards Jou with a gentle smile. "No, its okay. Get your food, im fine" he said and continued to work on the bowl. After finishing the bowl he put it in the other part of the sink to put into the washer. Now he started to work on the glass that his soda had been in. It was a strange combination of soda and salad, but as long as it tasted good...He looked towards the window infront of him and towards the small backyard with mild interest. His light brown eyes squinted as the sun hit his face. He quickly looked back to the sink so it wouldnt burn his eyes.

"Kay'... at least let me clean my own plate after this, alright?" Jou said to Ryou's reply as he turned around to the fridge again. Upon opening it and not seeing anything too appealing, he opened the door to the freezer next. He almost instantly broke out into a wide grin upon seeing its contents. "ICE CREAM, ALRIGHT!" He energetically grabbed the carton and held it up for Ryou to see. "This is okay, right?" he asked hopefully, amber eyes sparkling.

((haha ICECREAM!! :p i want some...but i got brownies!))
Ryou turned around with the glass in his hand and smile at the energetic blonde. He nodded "yes, ofcourse. Have as much as you want" he said sweetly before turning around to finish washing the other plate from this morning. After finishing the plates and cups he opened the washer and loaded them in. It wasnt filled so he wouldnt start it until probably tomorrow...that was if there wasnt that many dishes tonight. He walked to the table and sat down, not sure what to do. He wasnt hungry...he wasnt thirsty, and not really tired.

"YES! You seriously rock Ryou!" Jou set the ice cream down on the counter and opened up a few drawers and cabinents, searching for a spoon and a bowl. In a minute or so he'd found what he was looking for, and began scooping the vanilla-chocolate swirled ice cream out. After that was done he put the carton back where it belonged and walked over to Ryou to sit down across from him, still grinning widely. "So," he began as he got a spoonful of chocolate, "You live by yourself?".
((Heh, you know what I just noticed? Many RP's end up at Ryou's house oO. The one I did for a long time on AIM, this one, another one in the guild... heh, it's a popular spot!))

Ryou watched Jou with amusement. He seemed so happy over the ice cream. He nodded slightly in answer to his friend's question. "Yeah...most of the time. My dad is always out of town..." he said softly and leaned foward against the table. His eyes glanced to the entrance of the living room as to make sure Malik was doing okay. He then looked back to Jou's ice cream with a weird grin. The boy could eat a lot...
((that icecream sounds good...^^; ))

Jou continued to shovel ice cream into his mouth, talking to Ryou between bites. "Out doin' work? Eh, must be nice to have a house all to yourself... dontcha get bored sometimes though?" He turned around in his seat to see what Ryou was looking at, and then turned back around to face his white-haired friend again.

Ryou paused and looked to Jou. "Yes, it does get rather boring..." he said and looked to the table again. His eyes looked for something to stay on, but only found his friend. He smiled nervously and leaned his head on his hand. It wasnt as boring when he had the company of his little spirit friend. But now it was only himself. He had never liked the idea, and never wanted to think about it. He frowned at his thoughts but quickly hid it, and pushed them back into the depths of his mind. He just continued to watch how Jou ate, trying to amuse himself by watching this...

Jou noticed Ryou's frown and looked down at hic ice cream a little guiltily. He hadn't meant to upset the boy... "Er... well, ya know that you can always call Yuugi or me if you get really bored around here. I know we didn't hang out too much before, but just don't be afraid to talk to us, alright?" He looked back up at Ryou with a friendly smile, and then stood up to go wash his bowl and spoon.

Ryou smiled and stood up as well. "Okay...thanks" he said and looked to the living room, still makeing sure Malik was okay. He put his hands to his sides and drummed his fingers along the side of his pocket. He was still unsure of what to do. "so..." he paused and looked around as if trying to find some sort of thing to do. "I dont have much to do here..." he said nervously.

Jou finished cleaning his eating utensils, and then tossed them into the sink before turning around to lean against the counter and look at his friend. "Eh, that's alright. Don't worry about it! We can just talk or something till' Sleeping Beauty over there wakes up." Jou motioned over to the living room with his head, grinning. "Being here is better than being at home for me anyway. Better company." Jou winked at Ryou and then leaned his head back to stretch his neck out. "What do you usually do when you're at home?" he asked, rolling his head over to the side.

Ryou looked to the living room when Jou mentioned Malik and nodded. He looked back at the blonde haired boy before him. "uhm..." he paused and looked to the ground a bit. "I mostly just read...and do homework" he said softly and pushed some white bangs away from his light brown eyes. "But I am sure you dont want to do that..." he added before looking back up. He knew it must of sounded weird for someone to do almost nothing all day. But afterall, who was a better description of weird then himself?

Ryou shrugged softly and thought for a moment, wondering what there was. Well, he did have his deck in his bag... He wondered if Jou had his cards. "We can play a round of duel monsters..." he said softly and started towards his school bag. He had been organizing them last night, maybe he could see if it was as good of a deck as his others.

Jou tilted his head and watched Ryou walk to his bag. "Good idea! I almost never leave my cards at home, because you never know when the chance for a duel is gonna pop up..." he stuck a hand in his pocket and produced his Duel Monsters deck out of it, then holding it up in front of him proudly with a big grin on his face. "Let's see if you can beat THE Jounouchi Katsuya!" he joked.
