also what are the different type of points for the armor and such?

well the reason is I found out what type of zoid I want to do, but I don't know what type of stats it has, or points to be more exact.

The Sepiogunner is one of the rarer Zoids made available by the Guylos Empire; it hails from long before the war between Helic and Guylos ever started. Featuring a very peculiar body type akin to that of a squid standing on it’s tentacles, the Sepiogunner is capable of operating on land, underwater, and even underground depending on the conditions. Being low to the ground and with it’s tentacle-feet set wide, it's going to be harder to strike it with forward-facing weapons, and close to impossible to knock it over. Plus, its powerful rear tentacles give it tremendous jumping distance, making it well fitted for surprise attacks from beneath the surface.

No matter the terrain, however, the Sepiogunner isn't an exceptionally fast Zoid, especially considering today's standards. On the other hand, it can easily compensate for its weakness in speed with it’s high degree of maneuverability or by sinking into the ground away from most enemy firepower. Adorning the Sepiogunner's body is a series of tubes. These are hooked to an energy charger located near the head and feed energy to the Aquatic Cluster Cannon. Should they be severed, the ACC would become a lot less effective. However, because of their proximity to the face, it is not at all recommended to strike with a high-caliber or spread weapon. Aim wisely when targeting them. Aside from that, the Sepiogunner is a powerful, ferocious Zoid, not to be taken lightly by any means.

Weapons:
20mm Cannons
Paired up below either side of bulbous main body are two 20mm Cannons, totaling up to 4. They are rather generic; however, lacking a pivotal base. Each Cannon retains a Semi-Automatic rate of fire, but, like all the Sepiogunner’s weapons, cannot be used underground. They can, however, function under water.

72mm Anti-aircraft Flak Cannon
The 72mm Anti-aircraft Cannon is mounted on the rear back of the Sepiogunner’s shell just over the base where the rear tentacles adjoin the body. It can rotate horizontally 360 degrees and has plenty of vertical inclination as well, but be careful not to accidentally shoot yourself. The Anti-Aircraft Cannon is useful because it fires flak shells, which are essentially regular cannon shots that explode into a sphere of shrapnel. They act very much like a shotgun in that regard. Aerial Zoids that fly right next to an exploding shell will be punctured by hundreds of pieces of metal, ripping through wings and armor like butter. A pilot can also turn off the fuses, allowing the weapon to simply fire standard 72mm fire. Note that the weapon doesn't fire underground, and has rather limited use underwater.

Aquatic Cluster Cannon
The ACC is essentially a clustered set of guns mounted on top of the bulbous main body to the front. The weapon is made of three semi-automatic long range laser rifles. The top-most laser rifle, with its top concealed under a thin plate of armor, is a 50mm long range laser rifle. One of the long range laser rifles below it has a caliber of 30mm and the smallest is 20mm. The Aquatic Cluster Cannon can function underwater and above ground, but sadly cannot fire while underground. The entire Cluster Cannon is capable of pivoting up and down vertically to a certain extent for aiming.

Hardened Alloy Tentacle Blades:
Mounted on the tips of the long, flexible and strong tentacles of the Sepiogunner are four blades. They're good for slicing and spearing through Zoid armor and act as the Zoid’s front feet.

Special Abilities:

Burrowing:
Similar to the Guysack and Stealth Viper, the Sepiogunner is capable of burrowing; you'll never find any other conventional burrower quite like it as it is capable of burrowing even through boulders. The denser the material it burrows through the slower it becomes. Its top speed through sand is about 70 km/h, while about 50 km/h in dirt. It can only move up to 20 km/h in rock however.

Swimming:
The Sepiogunner, like the Stealth Viper, is capable of swimming in water. It's usual top speed while swimming is about 30kph.

Each Pilot only gets 1 Zoid. All the character and Zoid creation info is in the 1st post of the Registration thread. There are some helpful hints in the 1st post of THIS thread also. I just took a Zoid from the page Banshi recommended and modified it to my liking using the BESM rules.
You can get the BESM rulebook from the Downloads thread, which has very in-depth rules for character creation and Mecha design. You want the 2nd Edition, or D6, rules for this game.

You can also look at the Character Sheets in the other D6 Games, in that subforum, for examples and ideas.

If you have any questions let Banshi or I know wink
We love teaching new players, so don't feel bad about not knowing the rules like we do.
You can just ask anything here.

BloodOnWhitePetals chants to Cthulhu.
"Banshi WILL like my land-squid...
Banshi WILL like my land-squid...
Banshi WILL like my land-squid...
Banshi WILL like my land-squid...
Banshi WILL like my land-squid...
Banshi WILL like my land-squid...
"

Banshi does like your land-squid. ^_^

Anyway, I've updated some of the character creation rules in the Registration sticky. There were some very important things that I had forgotten to post that were brought to my attention with Petals' zoid example. Sorry for the inconvinience, but I'm trying to make things work out as smoothly as possible in an online forum environment.

Not really overkill, you just wouldn't be able to build it to spec with only 40-60 mecha points. I'd suggest starting out with a slightly lower-end zoid and work your way up. That way you have a sense of accomplishment when you're nailing people to the battlefield with your Salamander's vast weapons arsenal.

ok...i've never seen the zoids TV show, but also i've never made mecha stats before. is this a good play to try? or you want experienced players only?
