He nodded mutely, wiping at his face over and over. Of course it did little more than smear the dirt around on his face a bit more but he was hardly aware of it. "...Do...you live alone?"

Kaspar chuckles at this, though he's not entirely sure why. "Just me and the Psychosis...."

"You live alone..." He tilted his head to the side a bit, "..no family? No friends?" That didn't seem like much of a life. Outside the window he could hardly see anything that could be defined as a home though, it seemed, the man wasn't fortunate enough to have many of the luxuries that he had been fortunate to know.

Family...freinds? He hesitates, as though about to say something, but feels as though the words and answers stick in the back of his throat, refusing to come out, and eventually he shakes his head, forcing out an answer that somehow burns in the pit of his stomach like a mixture of fear and rage. "Not anymore..."

Hugo watched the man's reaction, leaning forward a bit. He sound pained to recal such words. Perhaps they had experienced the same misfortune, "...did you... loose them too?"

The video link popped up in the cockpit of the psychosis, bearing the demonic face of the Judge. The only thing visible in the darkness around her was her white hair and her devilish face. Here eyes were glowing right crimson that mocked every thought in the mind. "Hello Kaspar... You still have to have yet to have judgment passed on you. YOU are no acceptation. You OR your... little... little friend. He escaped the fate of his village, but he cannot run forever, nor can you." She laughed maniacally as the screen faded out and they were alone in the cockpit again. Where the message had originated from was a mystery... the tracking on it was jammed.

It's somewhere between fortunate and unfortunate that he doesn't have the time to answer Hugo's question before the image of the judge appears on the screen, causing him to almost jump out of his seat with an unrestrained cry of alarm and terror. HER! The voices inside clamored together so loud and fast that it was impossible to tell them apart, and he was almost frozen with terror, briefly loosing control of the Zoid, which paused, swinnging it's massive head around to look for the agressor, forcing Kaspar to breifly struggle for control over himself and it. Go back to the bunker? Stay here? Run? Fight? Fight What? there was no trace of her....

Hugo's eyes snapped to the screen as the woman's face came into veiw. A shiver ran down his spine as his muscles tensed. The burns along his arms and back seemed to have set ablaze once more. It had been her... she was the one responsable. Before he could answer she was gone and the zoid was jarring from a moment of having lost control.
Hugo put a hand on the man's shoulder in front of him, squeezing firmly, "Get ahold of yourself!"

Kaspars attention wrenches from the screen to the boys hand on his shoulder, and then rushes along the length of that burned arm to meet his face, and as they do, fear briefly vanishes as though a switch were thrown, and something...or perhaps some-one else looks back for a moment, eyes filling with an flash of darkness and hate no less intense than the fire behind them. This burning monster behind his eyes seems to struggle for the space of a heartbeat, and then fades Back to the look he'd had before, cold, distant, and puzzled, as though for a moment he'd utterly forgotten when he'd turned or why. He stares at Hugo's hand again and then draws sharply away, a muted shudder running through him. "You know what she can do..." he growls, icily, as he turns his focus to everything around them. "Save your protestations...." The dogtags on his chest chime softly, and his jaw sets at the sound....

The boy withdrew his hand quickly, his own eyes flashing at the look that had been turned to him, iinvoluntarily sending him crinching back in his seat. Even if it had lasted only a heartbeat, he had never seen such anger, such a burning. It frightened him... he almost prefirred the burning of his home to the rage in those eyes.
"...sorry... I... you just looked scared." He hunched his shoulders up and looked out the window.

"Are you telling me you weren't?" he scanned the scenery again, shoulders tense, as he tries to find some sign on the landscape of the Judge before...grudgingly, he continues on to the last leg of the trip back 'home'. If she knew where to find them...good god if she knew....

Hugo frowned, sitting himself upright in the chair, "No... I'm not afraid of her." He took a deep breath, "Don't fear your enemy... then you become weak. I'll find her if you don't... I'll take her out myself."
Wheather or not his words were convincing, that seemed to be as good a plan as any. There was little to lose at this point. He'd have to get his hands on a zoid to compete with hers... a boy running at a giant mechanical beast would be about as effective as throwing a box of kittens at a steam roller... even then he had no idea how to piolet the massive things.

This brings a sharp cold laugh to Kaspar, and an extended one. "You? Kill her? With what? A firm stare? A few harsh words and an tear filled accusation?" He laughs even harder. "You have no idea what she can do...or would be smart enough to be terrified."

"I know fear just fine!" He snapped, "And I don't know how just yet- I know that I will though. You watch... if I have to steal a zoid and fly it into her...stupid face I will. It's better than running away like a scared little dog." He folded his arms accross his chest, kicking the back of the seat stubbornly. The man was right. Damn it all. "Just nevermind..."

"Spoken like a boy who's never reached a hand toward a frightened dog. Ever been bitten by a dog?" There are very subtle nuances in his voice, slight things that change almost at the edge of hearing. Faint traces of accent and manerism that seem to flux and fade almost as though he were totaly unaware of them. "Of course you're afraid, I can practicly smell it. If I stopped this zoid right now and so much as pointed a knife at you, you'd wet yourself. And if you don't stop kicking my seat I just might. Or maybe I'll just cut your damn hamstrings to make you stop..."
