I'm part of the student pagan association at my college, some of my friends started it up a few years ago. I'm not wiccan myself, but I like to go to learn about it and other non-judeo-christian-islamic religions. Problem with that is we practically *only* have wiccans there, so that's all we ever hear about, except when one of the buddhists speaks up.
Anyways, I've participated in two open circles. The first time was very powerful, I really got into it and could feel the energy and everything. The second time was something one of our group had written, and I didn't really feel any energy that time and it disappointed me.
I consider myself agnostic, as well as pretty skeptical, although not as bad as my father. He writes off everything spiritual and psychic as bunk, believing only in science. I tend toward science, but I can't dismiss it all as fake, 'cos I know how real it is to other people, and not everything can be explained by the science we have available. And after raising energy for the first time, I can't dismiss it entirely. I still have a bit of trouble believing some things. I guess I just lack certain affinities or awarenesses.
Our group does divination a bunch, at least once a year at our spirituality fair, but also sometimes in our meetings.

Wicca eh! xd

I'm a pureblood! w00t!

Most purebloods have to be born from a coven family. My mom and her sisters along with my dads mom all came from the same coven in irland. nothing special but i was raised to practice it until my mom gave it up after my grandma died of a heart attack.

can anybody explain the concepts of wicca? other than you believe in magic and worship a great horned god... (at least that's what I've heard about it...)

Acctually, it's a religion based on ancient practices, you get to choose who you want to worship (I like the Greek pantheon, myself).

It's more like honouring the nature and all it's concepts. Wicca's got a God and a Goddess.

I'm pureblood but I don't really have any of the family gifts. It made my mama cry so hard.

Wicca is a religion that worships The Goddess. Some sects of wicca believe in a God and Goddess (like me) but many just believe in one. They believe in the magic of everything and that everyone is responsible for their own actions (as in no devil). Unlike the Christian religions, Wicca has 26 laws (as opposed to the 10 Commandments).
