Uzushi'bueta RPhttp://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5533195&page=14782Syrius Lionwing Where was she? It was a question she asked herself often these days. the pull at her tail informed her that home was thataway but she wasn't headed for home,s he was out looking for, for what? She wasn't sure it was just, something. Her pilgramage to her motehrs grave was long over yet she hadn't returned to the coalition lands insetad she had deemed her slender body worthy of wandering.
Colche was always a small creature, even by cheetah standars she was small and delecate, her frame work genteele in it's disspossition. Stills eh walked with the grace of all cheetahs her head high, her paws taking th emiles in a gentle beautiful lope. Still she needed to rest and a comfortable looking tree provided shade. Slipping in to the shadows she lay with her forepaws crossed gazing out at the horizon. What was she looking for? Kimaria Unlike Colche, Uzushi knew exactly what he was looking for: the place where rainbows were born. Yet sadly rainbows held no scent and did not linger in the sky long enough for him to follow. They moved position, sparkled and swept the sky with their arching beauty. Yet never had Uzushi been swift enough to find it's end.
Never mind. This wasn't enough to put him off of his search and so he continued to look for clues on where to find this haven he longed for.
It was on this search near his parent's lands that he caught the scent of a stranger, and being the curious type that he was Uzushi approached.
He was naive to danger and trotted out, yipping a greeting as he came into view. "Who's there? New friend for me to meet?" His voice chimed up cheerfully. Syrius Lionwing Colche lifted her head when a young males voice interrupted ehr thought pattern. Black tipped ears twitched and she smiled lightly. A wild dog. she had no need to fera wild dpgs and certainly a sinle pup copuld do her no harm. Hadn't she said taht ebfore thougha dn now she was on this journey because a pup had reminded her of ehr mother.
Shaking her head of the memory she smiled gently at the youngster. she could hold no grudge against a creature she had never met after all. Her long tail twitched at the very end and she stiffled a yawn as she greeted the youngster "Hello there" she whispers her voice a gentle fruity puurr which echoed from depe in her cavernous chest. Kimaria "Oh!" Uzushi gasped, "I know what you are! You're a cheet-urr. I met one of your kind before." He beamed proudly and took a few more steps forward, stretching his neck to sniff at the tip of her tail. "All spotty and purty, your patterns make me dizzy." He gave another small excited yip and wagged his tail.
"Do yous live here?" He question, peering around, "I not smelt you round 'ere before and this is close to where my papa and mama live. Thet are the pack alphas but I'm not the heir. No. That's my brother. I have four brothers and one sister yah know! So it was unlikely I'd be the eldest. Though I don't mind because I get to go 'splore whenever I want to. Though pa said I had to be careful cos of the hoo-man thingies which apparently took a pup from our pack. I never seen them around though. Have you?"
He paused for breath and looked suddenly completely exhausted. "I'm Uzushi'bueta." He added as an after thought, "though you can shorten it in whatever way you like. I don't mind." Syrius Lionwing Colche smiled, she giggled at the pups enthusiasm and flickered ehr tail so that it tickled the end of his nose. "Indeed I am a cheetah. My name is Colche" She paused for a moment looking at the yioungster as he babbled out his lifes story. She was a listening ear and children always amused her. they filled a little place in her heart when they were around.
"I'm afraid I don't live around here no" she mused at last when he finally stopped speaking, what a wonderful little creature he was. Smiling softly she gave a gentle purur once again as she spoke "I love int he coalition lands, they arn't too far away from here though at the moment I am a wanderer." The slender cheetah padded playfully at the little pups paws a grin her sweet eyes. She did so enjoy playing with children even though she had none herself. they filled a little gap inside her. perhaps, perhaps thats what she was journeying for. perhaps. Kimaria "Ah I thought so, my nose is good at smelling out new friends and old ones and it never smelt you before." He wrinkled his nose and almost sneezed as her tail tickeld it. Then twitching forwards his big ears he beamed and gave another small yip.
He raised his paws as she padded at them and ended up in a bouncing fit, leaping about this way and that as if he had springs attatched to his paws.
"Nice to meet 'cha Colche!" He squeaked, wagging his tail fiercely as he moved from side to side in a rather puppy fashion. He was getting older but he'd always be the playful little pup no matter what age he was.
"Do cheetahs know how to play games?" He questioned, pausing in his bouncing to catch his breath. Syrius Lionwing Colche chuckled softly. "Of course we do, we kno how to tell great stories too" She smiled softly watching the youngster bounce. she remembered joyfully being his age having springs attached to her paws jumoping every where instead of walking. Still watching him made ehr giggle softly. he was so cute.
"Of course, we cheetahs like to race" she grins cheekily "racing is our most favorite of games but after wards we sit and rest and tell each other stories about the past and the future of myths and ledgend." she stretched out her front claws "woudl you liek to race/" she giggles softly, she would go easy on the pup it was always nice to let youngsters think they couldbeat a cheetah in a race. Kimaria Racing? Uzushi had never heard of that before! Pouncing, chase, hide and seek yes, but never racing!
"I like stories, stories are fun indeed! I like listening and telling but there's not many people around who can listen or tell them. I don't stick around the pack much. It's boring there and..." He shook his head, realising he was going off tangent. "But yes, racing! What's racing? Is it very fun? Is it some special, secret cheetah game?" He tilted his head questioningly. Syrius Lionwing Colche stood slowly her long slender limbs stretching and relaxing as she did so. the tendonds around ehr fopre legs and the mucles in her upper body tencing "It's really quite simple" She smiled gently "Do you see that tree over there? You run to it, turn around and run back and see who's the fastest. I't a very old cheetah game" She chuckled softly "In the rainey season we get together and race each other to decide whom is the fastest cheetah of them all. it's very competetive but alot of fun."
She smiled wistfully, there hadn't been a cheetah race for as long as she had been alive but she had heard of their stories, how many cheetahs gathered and both males and females pitted their limbs against each other in their greatest of games. Kimaria Uzushi listened to her instructions and nodded thoughtfully, a smile parting his maw as he absorbed this new game. It sounded simple but still quite fun, though he was concerned that his short legs wouldn't be much of a match for the cheetah's long ones. Ahh well nevermind! Playing games wasn't about the winning, it was about the taking part!
With a small yip Uzushi reared back on his hind legs and pawed at the air with his front ones.
"Okay, okay! Let's play this racing game! My feets are fast I think!" He grinned. Syrius Lionwing Colche smiled softly her beautiful blue eyes glimmering softly as she watched the pup her tail swaying gently behind ehr as she got to her feet. She stretched showing those thick mucles in ehr upper forelegs as she did so. "Okay to that tree over there and back again" She chuckled softly as she stretyched out her toes ehr trackshoe like nails digging in to the shifting soils "ready? Steady? GO!" she shouted her paws hitting the soil hard as she moved away. She had no intent upon beating he pup at this game. Youngsters needed a bit of an ego boost occasionally and it made her day to make anothers life a little happy.
She of course was not going full tilt holding back for the pup to catch up so that she could keep his speed. Kimaria GO!
Uzushi bounded forwards, his back legs propelling him forwards like springs. Hs maw parted so that his pink tongue could loll from his mouth and suddenly he was running faster than ever before.
The cheetah who was just ahead of him seemed to be slowing down, or perhaps he was speeding up. Either way the wind in his face and the pounding of his heart made him truly feel alive. Oh Uzushi loved to run!!
Run Uzushi! Run fast! Beat that cheetah, you can do it! Kalpana's voice fluttered within the recesses of his mind and urged him on. His eyes fixed upon the tree, his paws moving almost gracefully along the ground as he went. He panted and felt his lungs burn slightly and yet he continued, misjudging the turn around and going past the tree.
He released a small yip of surprise and ran around the back of the tree and headed back the way he had come. Syrius Lionwing Colche smiled lightly, such a jog wasn't anything to worry about for her. if she was going full tilt it would have been a tireing thing but chasing behind the cub she chuckled hertail waving and acting as a rudder as she made the charp turn cutting around the tree since he had donethat. it was only fair after all.
Speeding up just a little the slender figure of the femme cheetah caught up just a little to the wild dog. this was alot of fun, it had been a long time since she had been in a race, she tried to rememebr when it was. It was when she too was a child a cub and with ehr mother. they had raced for fun her mother had let her win. Smiling serenely she lifted her head, their starting and finishing point was ahead. What awonderful meeting this had been it really was an awfully long time since she had raced and even loosing it was alot of fun. Kimaria "Wheeee!" Uzushi called, raising his muzzle to give a few excited yips. He seemed to do that a lot. He could feel Kalpana in his mind - the one he supposed was his imaginary friend - and continued to run.
He was aware of the cheetah drawing closer and of the pounding of his paws against the ground. The finish line was just ahead and fixing his aqua eyes upon it he lowered his head and tried to increasse his speed.
This is where it all went terribly wrong. For his paws tangled beneath him and suddenly he was flipping head over heels. Yes, young legs could be so clumsy at times. Syrius Lionwing Colche slipped straight past him as he tripped though she came to a stop in a second, her trackshoe like claws causing her to completely stop dead mid stride ehr toes flailed outwards. "Are you alright?" she askes turning around and nudging the pup gently. She tilted her head in a concerened manner licking his ears with her rough tongue. "you shouldn't push yourself so hard you ould have hurt yourself."
Givign a little giggle she nudged the pup until he was upon his feet once again her tail swaying and flickering behind her "that was fun." she puurred looking him over and making sure that he hadn't injured himslef unduely. She would never forgive herself for hurting a youngster. Kimaria "Yep, yep, yep." He nodded, apparently unphased by his little tumble. "My paws are always getting in a confused tangle." He waited for the cheetah to finish checking he wasn't hurt and then got to his paws and shook himself. "Mama says they'll get better when I'm older, but I am older and they still clumsy." He grinned and perked his large ears forwards.
"I like cheet-urs. They're all very nice!" He continued, wagging his tail. It seemed he had temporarily forgotten about the race, though with a reminder he'd probably continue. Syrius Lionwing Colche smiled and gave a little laugh "Your mother is very right" she puurrs. "When you grow up you'll be very dainty all wild dogs are" She smiled softly her perfect dusty blue eyes resting on the little hound. "Come, you were winning wer'nt you? she grins and nidges the pup "nearlly there. I'm pretty sure you were ahead until you stumbled." She took a swift step backwards and smiled gently"off you go" She chuckled, she would give hima head start then just pad along behind him. This was a nice little race. Wild dogs could be wonderful little creatures some times. Kimaria "Oh yes, racing!" He said, startled and turned to gaze at the finishing line which was probably six or seven strides away. "Okay, lets goooooo!" And with that he was off again, paws moving more carefully against the ground this time.
Oh racing was fun! He suddenly wished he could be a cheetah who could run and run and run....
The finishing line was closing in and he subconsciously quickened his pace for the last few seconds.
Was he going to win?! Syrius Lionwing Colche smiled, she didn't start running until he was pretyt much at the finish line then in one or two long swift strides she was just behind him as he crossed it. Smiling gently she gave a fruity little laugh and licked his ears "congradulations" she puurred a grin on her maw as she settled beneath the trees shade once again. "Perhaps we can raceagain some time" she puurrs cleaning her forepaws of dust as she settled down comfortably. "would youlike to rest with me for a while? or will your motehr be searching for you?" she asked stretching her front legs out to loosen up her mucles.
She was relaxed now to say the least though she oocassionally lapped at a peice of fur which had gathered dust. She was very proud of her fur after all. Kimaria "Yay! I won my very first race!" He squeaked, bouncing on the tips of his paws. The tongue lolled from the side of his maw and his large ears twitched as she licked at them. "Definately race again another day. I like racing very much!" He wiggled and moved to lay beside her.
"My mama knows I like to wander so I be okay to stay for little while longer. Though it'll be dinner time soon!" He licked his lips and snorted, setting his forepaws together so he was lying in a somewhat more noble position.
"It must be nice to be all growed up and able to travel wherever yah want to. One day I'm gonna do that." He nodded and smiled widely. Syrius Lionwing Colche smiled happy that the pup was able to stay a little longer "You wouldn't want to miss your dinner. It's very important" she whispers looking at the youngster with a playful smile before she groomed his cheek. She was a sticker for grooming, she liked to be clean and she couldn't help but groom youngsters around her.
"Oh yes, it's very nice to wander but it's just as nice to know that you have family and friends to go back to" She smiled gently looking at the pup in a pleased manner. "Be careful and don't wander too far from your home. I'm sure your mother would worry about you2 She smiled gently and licked the pups ears one more time before nodding satisfied his fur was at least clean ish. Kimaria If it had been possible Uzushi would have purred, but sadly for a canine such a feat is impossible, so he simply stretched out his form a little more and closed his eyes. He loved being washed and this cheetah was just as good as his own mother!
"I want to go on all sorts of adventures." He continued. "In fact the moment I'm old enough I think I'm going to go on a very important journey." He nodded, tail wagging slowly at his hindquarters. "To find the end of the rainbow!"
It was a quest he was longing to go on and yet he had to be patient and wait for the right time. Syrius Lionwing Colche smiled. It was a puppish dream obviously "The end of the rainbow? Thats a very long quest. I do hope you find it" she whispers Looking at the youngster with a smile. "You know theres a tale taht says theer are great riches and powers at the end of the rainbow thogh that no mortal can ever sit at it's end. Perhaps you will dissproove the story hmm?" She smiled 2if you do make sure to come and tell me about it." She chuckled softly curling her tail around the little wild dog sort of protctively. she almost wished he were her own cub. How she would have adored to pamper a child of her own to teach them of herways and tell them her stories. Still while he was here she could perhaps give him a little of her knowlege. Kimaria "Long, yes, but I think I can do it. I think I was born with the purpose of finding it and the treasure that awaits me. I heard that when you reach the end you are granted a wish. Any wish that you want!" He smiled dreamily, "I'm goig to wish for a haven of peace, where no one gets hurt or sad."
It was somewhat upsetting to think that this pup's wish would never truly become reality, and yet he still retained that hope within him.
"I shall defainetly telly ou all about it next time we meet Colche." Syrius Lionwing Colche smiled gently. What a wonderful dream. It was impossible but wonderful. Things would always need to die for others to live so there was no true paradice. Flickering her tail she nudged thepup and smiled "you havd better get going. You don't want to miss your dinner" she puurrs licking his ear one more time. "if ever you come by the cheetah coalition lands. come and find me okay" She smiles gently, this was one wild dog she was glad she had made friends with. Such a sweet soul was hard to come by. Kimaria "Okay Miss Colche!" He yipped, getting to his paws and shaking himself. "I definately keep a look out for you and come visit if I go near your home." He turned and headed off towards his dne, pausing to call a farewell over his shoulder.
In his mind Kalpana stirred. I like that one. The feminine voice was cheerful and Uzushi had to agree.
Colche was very nice indeed! Syrius Lionwing Colche smiled watching the young male vanishin to the distance she sighed. It was time to go home. Gettign to her paws she padded away silently in to the evening. it would take ehr several days to get back to the coalition lands. she could take ehr time. She was in no hurry.

Hakan'mawasii RP
(done on AIM)
Kimaria33: Hakan's dark body could clearly be seen as he moved through the golden grass that grew close by to his family's den. In fact his colour proved to be quite a hindrance when it came to sneaking and hunting. He had decided that perhaps stalking prey at night would be easier until he realised that his vision was greatly impaired by the lack of light.
The mouse he had been trying to pounce moved a short way ahead of him and as he readied himself for the kill he knew that this time he'd catch it.
With a small growl Hakan leapt, paws fixing and pinning the little mouse to the ground. It squirmed madly beneath his paw before fixing it's teeth into his vulnerable pad.
"Ouch!" He bristled and instantly raised his paw, staring in horror as the rodent hung there by it's teeth. Mice were...mean.
X Dramatic Ash X: Kinja had been lounging in the sun, enjoying the warmth it brough. It was somewhat odd that she still craved the heat of the desert and the only way she could warm herself up to such a degree to was to lounge within the full sun. It wasn't quite as warm but it was appeasing the old lioness. IT was about midday when her basking was distrubed by a rather dark form creeping through the golden vegetation. Rolling onto her stomach she watched with amusement as Hakan poorly disguised himself in an attempt to catch...well...catch something. She wasn't quite sure what it was he was stalking. Whatever it was the creature would surely be able to escape from her son. It wasn't long until she saw Hakan launch after his prey and a proclaim yelp of pain.
With a chuckle the lioness rose to her paws and shifted her way into the vegetation. "Hakan, I think the prey at the other end fo the plains owuld be able to see you dear." She smiled and lowered her head to grab the poor rodent by it's tail in her teeth before flinging it away. "Prey do fight back. They're not going to let you just eat them." She grinned.
Kimaria33: "It'd be much easier if they did." Hakan pouted, wrinkling his nose as he stared up at his mother with eyes that matched her own shade almost perfectly. "I wish I had a pelt more like yours mother, it's still bright but black stands out against the gold so much more." He gave a sigh and flicked the tresses of his small mane out of his face. "I want to hunt so I can catch food for you and the others but at this rate I'll never get anywhere." He sighed, his ears drooping as he stared at the ground in a rather dismal fashion. Life just wasn't fair, that's all he had learned so far.
X Dramatic Ash X: Kinja smiled. "You just need to learn how to hunt. After that you'll be fine." Oh yes, there was a trick to it. IF she could hide herself among the sands then surely she could teach her dark pelted son how to hide within the grass which was much more forgiving. "Come along. Let's go find some prey worthy of being hunted." She turned and moved through the grass, all senses on high alert as she searched for something her son would find easier to take down. A small gazelle or antelope would be perfect and thankfully they were the easier of th eprey to locate.
It didn't take Kinja long to catch the scent of a herd and soon the mother and son sat a fair distance away in short grass. Their prescence was far enough away to not bother the the gazelle but they were close enough to be able to dive into the tall grasses without being noticed. "Now. The whole point of stalking is to remain low. MAke sure your hind end doesn't wave like a banner. That is always a dead give away. Your stomach should barely be off the ground."
Kimaria33: They were going on a hunt? His very first hunt? Hakan found it difficult to hide his excitement but managed to give a small nod before following at his mother's flank. He had always admired his mother's strength but never had he seen her truly hunt. Today was the day when he got to watch the huntress at work and he was sure it would be an experience worth remembering. If he was to help support his family he had to be able to catch prey, for he was not one of the types to sit back and let others catch his food if he was quite able to. He was small now, yes, but he was eager to learn and that had to count for something.
Then when she began her explanation he fixed his eyes upon her with a look that showed he was concentrating. "Right okay, low to the ground. Got it." He crouched a little lower as if in preparation.
X Dramatic Ash X: Kinja smiled. "Good. Now the hardest thing for you to learn will be patience." She winked at him. "You will get nothing by rushing forward throught he grass. You must carefully plan each step and move through the grass slowly. This will make sure that you draw the smallest amount of attention to yourself. The faster you move the more the grass moves." She padded over to the grass. "Watch me once then we will seek out another herd for you to attempt a hunt on."
She slipped into the grass an immediatly lowered her body to the ground. Carefully and precisely she slipped through the ocean of waving gold pausing only when an ear flicked in her direction. Slowly she crept through the grass and after what would seem like an eternity to the unexperienced the lioness gathered her paws and muscles under her, picked out the perfect source and launched forward. She dashed across the shortened grass as the antelope went scurrying away. Her chosen source of prey staggered behind it's mother allowing ht elioness close enough to trip it up and have it fall to the ground. Instead of delivering the killing blow though Kinja sat upon the ground, catching her breath, and watched as the youngling got up and dashed after it's mother.
Kimaria33: Hakan fidgeted as he waited the strike that seemed to take forever to come but when it happened he was not dissapointed. His pride in his mother increased tenfold and as she let the prey loose he ran over to her, tail waving high and ears perked forwards. "That was amazing mother!" He called, bouncing lightly and oving to brush up against her forelegs. "One day I'm going to be just as good as you!" He nodded firmly and puffed out his broadening chest. "Then I can take care of you for a change." He paused and looked about him, sniffing at the air which was filled with the smells of antelope. Just the smell of the prey animals was enough to start his stomach rumbling and he was eager to continue. "Do the herds around 'ere move around a lot?" He asked, "or do they tend to stay in one place?" He figured he might as well learn as much as possible whilst he had the chance.
X Dramatic Ash X: Kinja chuckled. "You'll make me feel like an old lioness if you start beinging -me- food." She noted a small piece of Hakan's growing mane out of place and ran her tongue over it to settle the stray mane. At his question she looked in the direction which the herd had ran. "The herds move according to their food source. If the grass is dead then they will travel to a place where it is not and when the rains come they will travel back to their usual grazing grounds. It'll take you awhile to understand their travel patterns but you'll learn. For now, just use your senses to help you find them."
After catching her breath, which was taking more and more time with each passing hunt, Kinja rose. "Now, the next hunt is yours. I will help you but you will be doing most of the work. So, that means you have to find a herd."
Kimaria33: "Oh you're not old mother! You could never be old!" He beamed and let a gentle purr emit from his throat as Kinja brushed back the stray wisps of mane. "You are the best and strongest lioness that I know!" Hakan was naive in the sense of death, for though he knew one could die in a fight or in an accident he knew not of the death brought on by simple old age. He could not even imagine a life without his mother around and had avoided such thoughts ever since he could comprehend them.
As his mother rose he did the same and taking note of her words felt a small hint of nervousness capture him. "I'll try my best." He said and after gazing around him picked a direction he thought would be good.
On his little visit to see Kizuka he had noted seeing fresh tracks of antelope in the dust and though he was unsure of the exact location he was sure that they would leave some sort of clue behind.
It was not long before the first clue made it's appearance. For in the soft ground that edged a small waterhole were the hoof prints of the animal he searched for. "Tracks over 'ere!" He chirped, bouncing excitedly as he turned his head to see if any were in sight. "Perhaps they strayed onto prideland borders." He mumbled in annoyance, "unless they headed over there." He pointed his paw in the direction he spoke of - where a few trees grew up from the parched ground. "What do you think, mother?" He asked, tippign his head up to gaze at her.
X Dramatic Ash X: "Well if they strayed into pirdeland borders then we will not be able to hunt them. That is a prides land and we are not allowed to hunt within their lands. It is possible though that hte herd moved toward the trees. The sun is high and they are possibly seeking shade for their younger and older members."
Kimaria33: "Wouldn't want to go on their rubbishy land and hunt their stupid herds anyway." Hakan muttered, for since he'd been old enough to explore he'd gained a fearsome dislike of the Pridelands and all that dwelled within the borders. "Those Pridelanders aren't even proper lions. Filled with lazy lay-abouts and even murderers...or so I've 'eard." He huffed and began to pad slowly towards the trees. "Why do we stay here anyway mother? Wouldn't you prefer to travel?" He often found it strange that they had dwelled so long on Prideland borders and yet at the same time he was glad of it. Living in a somewhat settled place had given him the chance to meet others - and though he often felt the need to bully them he had made a couple of friends.
X Dramatic Ash X: Kinja's face fell as Hakan spoke of the pridelanders. "Hakan!" She scolded. "Do not speak of other lions in such a way. I though I raised you better." She scowled. "I have been in the pridelands. The liones there are just a respectable and noble as any othe rlion. I will not have you speaking poorly of them." No, she couldn't deal with her son putting down a pride that she had resided within and was quite proud to be a part of. "I am tired of traveling and truthfully, I doubt my tired body could take much more traveling." She smiled at him before sighing. "Now, get back to your tracking."
Kimaria33: He was startled and even slightly ashamed of himself as Kinja spoke of the Pridelanders. It sounded like she quite like them, but why? They had done nothing for her whilst she had been staying on the borders - not that he was aware of anyway. "Sorry mother." His ears drooped slightly but he continued along the ground without faltering. At her other comment though he found himself frowning a little and he raised his head to glance at her from the corners of his eyes. "You shouldn't say that. You're the stongest lioness ever!"
As they drew closer there was indeed a small herd of antelope that were gathered in the shade of a few of the largest trees. They stood with their heads bowed lazily and their eyes half-lidded - drowsy due to the hot sun. "There they are mother!" Hakan hissed with excitement. "Looks like they were smart enough not to go into the Pridelands."
X Dramatic Ash X: Kinja made a mental note to talk to her son about death and life. It was apparent he was not aware of the circle of life that happened all around him every day. Today would not be the best choice but she would certainly speak to him soon about such things. At her sons exclamation she nodded her head. "Yes, now let's see what you learned. I'll follow behind you."
Kimaria33: Nodding sharply Hakan lowered himself so that his belly hovered just a couple of inches above the ground. His tail for now remained curled up around a hind leg so that it wouldn't rattle against the grass and give away his position. Luckily they had approached from behind and the majority of the antelope looked pretty much asleep as it was. Yet the little black lion had already decided that ifhe didn't manage to catch anything that the fact he had found a herd was an accomplishment enough. He'd make a mental note to keep an eye on tracks and other signs from now on so that he could try and get a good mental image of where the herds might be. Such things would come in handy later on.
As he drew closer he lowered himself until he was lying upon thedusty ground, eyes scanning the cluster of long-legged beasts. He had to pick one to chase first, right? Yet as he stared at them he couldn't help but find himself slightly overwhelmed. How did one know which was the right antelope to chase? He stayed in this position for a long time, simply observing and finally deciding upon the smallest one in the herd. He doubted he could tackle the larger ones just yet.
Now with his victim chosen he raised himself a little and crept forwards, making sure that his paws didn't make a sound. Yet apparently he was being careful enough. For when he was only a few meters away his paw snapped a twig that had fallen from the tree above.
The antelope raised their heads, eargs twitching and large liquid eyes scanning the grass. For a moment they saw nothing and then something moved. They saw the glint of black amongst gold and panic set in.
Despite the fact that Hakan knew it was possibly too late, he lapt forwards anyway, landing at the heels of his chosen antelope. The herd had begun to gallop away, clouds of dust rising up from their hooves as Hakan gave chase. Perhaps he would have managed to bring down the antelope if the dust hadn't gotten itno his eyes and ruined his vision, but even that was not enough to ease the dissapointment. He slowed to a halt, panting in the heat as he turned to see where his mother was. Oh well...hunts were often unsuccesful and this had been his first. There would be plenty more to come he was sure...
X Dramatic Ash X: Kinja hgad followed her son's movements step by step, well almost step by step. The cracking of the twig only caused her to flinch inwardly as she watched the antelope. If Haka just stood still then...nope...there he goes. She didn't both following as the antelope kicked up their heels and dashed away from the inexperienced lion. Kinja could see the dissapointment written on her son's face so she padded up to him and rubbed her head agianst his encouragingly. "You'll learn. That wasn't bad for your first time. You got quite close." She lowered herself onto her haunches. "Now, next time something like that happens your best chance at recovering the hunt would be just to drop to your stomach and lay there until the herd calms down and forgets about the noise. It can take awhile but it will work."
Kimaria33: "They'll just stand there?" Hakan questioned, tilting his head, "I figured they were too panicky to even consider it might just have been some random noise." He chuckled and buffeted the top of his head affectionately against his mother's shoulder. "This hunting business sure is difficult. I bet it takes a lot of practise to get as good as you are mother." He flicked the end of his tail and gazed back towards where the antelope had dashed, trying to gaze through the dust cloud. "Those things are a lot bigger up close!" He spoke, "fast too, much faster than any lion I ever saw." Except one perhaps...but he wouldn't mention Mrost. Not yet atleast.
X Dramatic Ash X: "Oh yes, they'll stand there as long as they get no other notions that there is something out there. They are fast creatures but that is why we have to take them by surprise."
Kimaria33: "Fast but stupid." Hakan laughed, "lions are much smarter than them, that's why they're lunch!" He flopped onto his side and prompytly rolled onto his back, reaching up with his forepaws to paw softly at his mother's maw. "I wish I could aint my black fur red, then I'd be just like you." He purred. "Did...did our father have black fur? Is that who I look like?" He had never really thoguht nor cared about his father until now.
X Dramatic Ash X: "Yes Fast but stupid." She chuckled as Hakan pawed at her. She promptly push him so he fell onto his side again. At the mention of his father though she sobered immediatly. "Your father...he..." She figured one of her cubs would want to know about their father but Kinja truthfully wished to never think of him again. "Yes Hakan. You have your father's pelt colors but you don't particuarly look like him." Oh no, if he did Kinja was unsure whether she'd be able to look at Hakan.
Kimaria33: "Ah, that's good!" He said, seemingly happy to hear that. "I don't really want to look like a lion I hardly know." He wrinkled his nose, "Though I wonder where brother and sister got their brown pelts from. They're so lucky! They'll camoflague so well in all this dry grass." He squirmed on the ground for a moment and reached up to try and tap at her face again.
X Dramatic Ash X: There was another question that Kinja had been waiting for, but this one was much easier to answer. "You brother and sister got their pelt colors from their grandparents." It wasn't a lie. Kinja had gotten her true pelt color from her parents, thus he children got them from their grandparents. Kinja dodged the flailing paw and growled playfully. "It's not nice ot hit your elders." She teased.
Kimaria33: The black juvenile grinned and withdrew his paws, curling them up against his chest and glancing up at her with a mischievious expression. "Grandparents? Where are they now?" Hakan asked, sneezing as a blade of grass tickled at his nose. Did he have more family than he first believed?
X Dramatic Ash X: "Your grandparents aren't around anymore, Hakan." Kinja left it there. She truly didn't want to get into this conversation now.
Kimaria33: Hakan sensed the change in his mother's mood this time - for though he did not truly understand the ways of death he did notice the tones in which his mother spoke. "Okay then, well I only need you, Kamal and Kimya anyways." He nodded, "our family is pretty much perfect." He smiled.
X Dramatic Ash X: Kinja smiled. "It's nice to hear you say that, Hakan." She licked the side of his face before turning towards the den. "We should head back befor eyour brother and sister begin to wonder where we are.
Kimaria33: He purred and nodded, rolling back to his feet and shaking the dust from his coat. "Yep, dun want them getting into trouble or nothing." He grinned, quickening to a trot and glancing back at his mother over one shoulder. "I'll race yah!"

Nyoka RPKimaria The snake loosened his coils upon the branch and slid easily to the one below, stretching out his body along the length of the branch so that he could capture the rays of the sun. His brilliant green scales danced with sunbeams and his strange linear smile curved upwards to where his round beady eyes were set in his face.
Ahh the sun was good and he so did love to sunbathe!
The rustle of leaves playing in the wind was a music that was pleasant and with a flick of a tongue he tasted the air to make sure he was alone.
No such luck. There were other scents nearby that suggested he was rather surrounded. So was life in the dense jungle. Taejira Indeed he was not alone, for among the other jungle creatures, an odd feline was moving through the area. Trotting brightly through the foliage was a serval, his small feline form dappled with the odd spot or stripe here and there. They blended in quite well with the dappling of sunlight peeking through, but he couldn't go unnoticed by anyone because of The Bell.
Seke had a red leather strap secured loosely around his throat, and hanging on it was a bright gold bell that let out a cheerful jingle whenever the creature moved. The feline slowed his gait and looked around. He was quite lost, but hadn't really realized it until that point. Not that he minded terribly.Kimaria The snake tipped his golden-dipped face to peer over the edge of his branch. Piercing eyes narrowing as he caught sight of a rather strange creature indeed. Too small to be any feline he had been aquainted with he found himself curious to what it could be.
He was not fond of lions nor of leopards but he could tell this creature was neither of those things. And so tightening his coils around the branch with a death-defying grip he lowered his head further.
"Well, well, well." His voice was a slow and strangely calm. "What have we here? A litte lossst kitty who jinglesss asss he walksss." He chuckled in a strange hissing way. "How doesss one live when they are ssso noisssy?" Taejira Looking round to see where the voice had come from, Seke spotted the snake. Trotting up to it, he sniffed curiously. A snake! He'd never met one of those before! It didn't look very edible, but it was being rather friendly, so he figured it couldn't hurt to chat for a bit. With one last jingle, the serval seated himself beneath the snake's branch and smiled up at him.
"Not terribly lost," He retorted, ear flicking. "Just a bit. In fact, on a scale form one to...er..lost, I'd rate myself about a three." At the comment about his bell, he puffed out his chest, looking proud. He was often asked about the shiny object. "It doesn't ALWAYS make noise, you know," he answered in an almost conspiring tone. "Not if I slink really carefully!" Kimaria With a slow hiss Nyoka zipped his head back a little, his neck curved in a strange 'S' shape that made him look as if he was about to strike. Seemed this feline was just like all the others of it's distant relatives.
"Ssso." He hissed deliberately slowly, "you have to move carefully to be quiet? Sssnakesss move very carefully indeed. In fact you wouldn't know we were clossse by unlesss we dropped down onto you." He flicked his tongue once more and narrowed his eyes. "a Ssserpent isss in my opinion the mossst elegant and intelligent of all beassstsss."
Wow wasn't someone modest today... Taejira Seke backed up a bit as the snake chnaged position. He'd never met one before, but that didn't mean he didn't know when one was being threatening. And it was certainly a shame that the reptile didn't seem to be as friendly as he's assumed!
The serval tilted his head, bringing forth a soft tinkle from the bell around his neck. "Er...yes," he answered. It wasn't really that bad making noise where ever he went! After all, it was NICE noise! As the snake mentioned dropping down, Seke'e eyes automatically rose to the branches overhead, then flicked back to Nyoka.
"Oh..uh. Yes. You're very elegant.. and um. Shiny!" He said with a winning smile. Hopefully the snake's friends weren't lying in wait to attck or something! D: Kimaria Luckily for the serval, poor Nyoka didn't have any friends. In fact he hadn't seen another serpent for a while now which was beginning to upset him a little. He loved being around his own kind and though he did like leading a solitary life a good conversation now and again wouldn't have done any harm.
He gave another hiss and puffed out his neck a little, beady eyes glinting as he gazed down at the feline.
"Oh? Ssso you agree with me? That cccertainly is very niccce." He bobbed his head once and looked suddenly very pleased with himself. "The sssun doesss wondersss for the ssscalesss." He said after a while. "Though I can't sssay the sssame about fur. I'm definately glad ssserpentsss weren't born with that itchy, horrid ssstuff." Taejira Seke watched the snake bob up on down proudly, and beamed. Ahhh, so that was how to make him friendly! 'Course, the serval wasn't going to be a doormat.. after all, his fur was VERY handsome and shiny as well! Still pointing his boldly-marked face upwards, Seke grinned, baring tiny sharp fangs. "Oh yes, they shine just like jewels!" He replied in a very impressed-sounding tone. As Nyoka made his comment about fur, though, Seke frowned. "I rather think the sun on fur looks quite nice!" He bent his head to admire his own spots and bars. "Besides, it's not itchy! It's soft, and very warm." Kimaria "Ah but it'sss hot in the jungle, no need for fur here little kitty." The snake repositioned himself on the branch, coiling himself about it as if trying to tie himself up in a knot. "Though I'll admit your fur happensss to be nicccer than a lion'sss pelt." His tongue flicked again, twitching upwards slightly at the forked end.
"Jewelsss you sssay?" He turned his head to inspect his own scales and gave a gesture that suggested he was trying to shrug - or do something of the sort. "You could sssay that usss ssserpentsss are the jewelsss of the jungle." He gave another hissing laugh.
"Though I'm not the vain type and definately not the type to be ssseen conversssing with lessser creaturesss unlesss I deem it necesssary." Taejira Seke tilted his head. "Well, yes... but I don't spend most of my time here! Usually I'm...elsewhere." He finished lamely, then perked and added, "and fur protects me from the sun!" As the snake offered what Seke took as a compliment, he beamed and once again looked at his fur. "Thank you! Lions are rather boring, don't you think? All...yellowy-brown." the serval had only met a few lions, and he didn't partcularly dislike them, but he felt that it was best to agree with the snake on that point. "Oh, no," he replied. "I can see that you are indeed not vain!" He smiled up at the snake. It was unclear as to whether or not he was being sarcastic...or indeed, whether he had the ability to grasp the concept of sarcasm at all. Kimaria "Very well little traveller. I never dwindle outssside of the jungle, for it bringsss with it a warmth and sssafety that one could find nowhere elssse." He had to admit he did not like dwindling upon the jungle floor where he could become prey for some other creature who might be lucky enough to take him unawares.
"You may find in time that the jungle sssuitsss you too, though I sssuggesst avoiding the ssserpentsss. Many of usss are not fansss of the felinesss that walk here though we all have our reasssonsss for thisss." He lay his head to pillow it against the branch and half closed his eyes, green body relaxing slightly upon the branch.
"The sssun doesss feel ssso good."

Hakan'mawasii RPKimaria Hakan was sleeping, in fact he was quite tired out after his hunting expedition with his mother and was even snoring lightly. His sides rose and fell with gentle ease and every now and then a whisker would twitch as he bit down into some imaginary prey.
The sun was dipping down and with it came the cool air of evening. And above him the sky was painted with an array of beautiful colours, more perfect than an artist's canvas.
A shame then that Hakan was sleeping right through this natural spectacle. chemicalstar Kizuka looked back at the Pridelands borders which she left far behind... the Pride Rock could hardly be seen. She sighed and turned her head and continued on her walk. She had made up her mind; she was going to see Hakan. Not that she had anything important to discuss with him...
Well actually she did. It had been a while since she was living with the unbearable truth and trying to hide it from Hakan for some reason even herself did not know. She was going to tell hom, because it was getting harder and harder to bear it on her own.
She was guessing Hakan lived close by, since she had bumped into him several times, and she remembered which way he went off after their first meeting at the lake... so she followed his trails, hoping he did not move away.. maybe she would get to meet his family whom he cared so much about. She walked, placing once step after the other, to reach Hakan. Kimaria It was good for Kizuka that she was an observant sort, for she was indeed heading the right way, and after a moment or so she would indeed catch sight of the black juvenile who was outstretched in sleep.
In fact whilst dosing, this usually mean and tough lion actualyl looked gentle and innocent. There was no frown furrowing his brow, no anger to be seen in his posture. Instead he was quite relaxed, quite happy and quite content to lie beneath the last rays of sunshine.
His snoring grew louder for a moment and then he shifted position, rollign onto his back with his forepaws tucked up against his chest. He looked almost like a house cat, though he was indeed much more fierce. chemicalstar Kizuka lifted her head when hearing a loud noise.. Was someone choking? She looked around worriedly and finally her pink eyes rested on a black figure who was lying on the ground. He did not look like he was choking... In fact.. Was he snoring? Kizuka tilted her head slighty as she waked towards him and could not help but giggle.
When she made it, she disappointedly realized he was not with his family but was rather on his own... little kitty, she thought while looking at the lion who claimed to he the most ruthless and dark warrior of all times. He looekd rather... peaceful... in his sleep.
Kiz walked up to him, facing him and smiled "Wake up sleepy head, you have company" She gently poked him on the side. She would not want to disturb him but she needed to make the speech she was planning in her mind for so long and she had to do it now. Kimaria Hakan grunted as he was nudged from his sleep and wrinkled his nose slightly as if he was going to ignore the voice and continue to sleep. "Wha--mother?" He opened his sleep-fuzzed eyes and tried to focus on whomever it was who was talking.
"Oh, it's you Kizuka, ain't seen you fer a while." He shook his head and slinked down from the rock to sit on the ground. Then with a wide yawn he reached up with a hind leg and scratched at an irritating itch behind his ear.
"So what yer been up tah?" He asked, yawning again. He hadn't seemed to notice anything different about her...yet. chemicalstar Kizuka smiled "Thank you so much Hakan, next time call me granny too!" she said, trying to lift off the heavy feeling in her. "I am here for a brief visit I hope you don't mind?" she asked.
The pink and white female lay down on, carelly placing her big round belly on the ground. This would be a very hard talk indeed and she did not know why.. Why did she have the notion that Hakan was not going to like what he heard... It was not like she had been disloyal to anyone, was it? Was Hakan really more than a friend for her?
"We need to talk" Kizuka said "or rather I need to tell you something" She wondered how to start her talk but she could not find any words. She looked at Hakan's deep blue eyes and then on the ground, literally chweing on her words. Kimaria Hakan listened to her words and finally his eyes cleared to show him a rather strange looking Kizuka. In fact he wasn't sure if it was the same lioness he was facing. "Oh my Gods!" He exclaimed, "Kiz, what the 'ell 'appened to yah?" He moved closer to inspect her and sniffed curiously.
Never before had he encountered a pregnant lioness and had no idea about how babies were born. So this was very much a surprise to the young lion.
"You're so fat!" Well...wasn't he the flatterer... "What did you do? Eat a whole antelope?!" chemicalstar Kizuka sighed.. Hakan was definitely not helping her at all. She got up, because she was sure she could not proceed on her talk while lying down. Shifting her weight from her right side to left and vice versa she nervously looked at Hakan.
"That is what I wanted to talk to you about..." she said, looking for some understanding of what she was going to say on Hakan's eyes... but nada... nothing. He had not clue at all...
"Hakan... I am..." she paused to draw in a deep breath "I am pregnant..." she waited for Hakan's reaction "That is why I look so fat..." It was so hard to utter these words, escepcially to Hakan... Kimaria "Oh..." Hakan tipped his head and watched her carefully, thinking how very funny she looked. But there was one thing he didn't understand. What did pregnant mean? He wanted to ask but the way Kizuka had spoken made it sound as if she expected him to know. The word did sound oddly familiar though..
He remained quiet for a bit and then gave up. He had to ask because this was getting him nowhere.
"Okay...so what is pregnant? Some sort of disease?" chemicalstar Kizuka could not help but gasp... he did not know what pregnant meant? How could this be possible?.. Maybe his mother was a little behind on the 'talk'?
She realized it would be ever harder than she imagined... She should not be the one to tell him what pregnant meant but now it seemed like she had no choice "No, it is not a disease" she shook her head "Do you know how you were born?" She was not so keen on going to every detail so she summarized it "Your mom because pregnant.. with you.." Kizuka continued "That meant, you were in her stomach..." She was not sure if Hakan would understand if she went on anatomical details.. stomach sounded fine anyways "... and she looked fat, just like me" she pointed to her tummy with her head "Only after you were born she looked like her thin self again... That is what is happening to me" She helplessly started at Hakan's eyes, hoping he got it this time. "I am going to be a mom..." Kimaria Hakan's eyes widened considerably, in fact they looked just about ready to roll out of their sockets.
"You--preg---ho---wha--I don't---le--" Okay so he was finding it a little hard to form proper sentences right now. His hackles had bristled and for a moment he looked hesitant on what to say. What could he be expected to say in such a predicament. He had never even thought about how he had been blessed with life...not until now.
He swallowed and tried again. He had already guessed something. "Males are needed for cubs aren't they." Was that why his mother was always so sketchy around anything to do with his father? Had he done something horrible to his mother? He gritted his teeth and pushed back the sudden surge of anger. Had someone forced this upon Kizuka too?! His friend!?
His body tensed and for a moment his eyes flickered up to scan the round curve of her stomach. "Who did this to you?" The words were snarled and he gazed about as if to find the culprit standing right there next to him. chemicalstar Kizuka expected surprise, she expected anger, she expected hatred, she expected excitement but she definitely did not expect this. "Y...y..yes" she replied hesitantly "Males and females should..." she gulped "get together to make.. cubs" She gulped again.
Did Hakan assume this was done to her without her will? Why would he assume that? But his question indicated that way.... Nobody had forced her. Mchele would never do that to her. No nothing happened without her consent.
"Hakan.. you got it wrong.. Nobody did this to me... " she paused for a moment.. That did not sound right "I mean, nobody forced me..." She hesitated, she knew if she told Hakan about Mchele he might try to do something to him. Despite everything, the last thing she wanted was to ger Mchele hurt... "I did this willingly" Kimaria Hakan listened to her with his body held rigid. The snarl remained on his face but eventually it relaxed a little. Perhaps he was slightly hurt that this had happened to her. That Kizuka had found someone. Yet he refused to believe this was the whole truth.
He shook his head fiercely and dipped his face. "So, you love him then? This lion I've not heard of before? What is he? One of those mangy Pridelanders?" His tone was underlined with a furious growl and yet his heart felt suddenly painful.
Was he jealous of this older lioness? Was he annoyed that she had found someone else she could talk to? He huffed and wrinkled his muzzle, thinking hismelf stupif for considering such things. What did he care if she decided to go and find friendships in other lions? He didn't care! chemicalstar Kizuka wanted to tell him everything, he wanted to tell him about Mchele and her, everything that had happened... but she couldn't bring herself to do it... She just.. Looked at his face and remained silent... Hakan was... Why did not he get mad? Why didn't he shout at her? Why didn't he say he did not want to see her anymore.. But then she rememebred.. It was not like she was unfaithful to him, after all they were just friends... were they not?
Kizuka shook her head "He is a Pridelander.. but love.. That is one big word... I cared a lot about him and still do, but... love.. You see it was not like you might imagine... " She was having a hard time bringing her words together "Mchele is a sweet lion, he is understanding, but there were and are circumstances that makes it impossible for me to love him" Mchele... her beautiful friend... He was not interested in females anymore, maybe he never was... But still he was a friend and would remain one. "But love, no..." Besides, how could Kizuka tell Hakan that the closest thing to love she felt was... towards him? Kimaria "So you started a family with someone you don't love? Are you going to raise the cubs with him? I will grow up without knowing my father and it sounds like you have that life planned for your cubs too." He huffed and his brow wrinkled. "You've seen what happens to cubs without a father-figure, they turn into bullies like me." He was sad to admit it but it was true.
He turned away and felt himself bristle in annoyance.
"Do what you like Kizuka." He shook his head, "I don't understand why you'd want to do that, why you'd want to raise a family on your own like that." He growled, "you better hope I don't see this Mchele character or else I don't know what I'll do." His body trembled with a hidden fury. But he was not angry with Kiz. No. In fact he wasn't even that angry at this Mchele character. He was angry with himself for not putting a stop to it before it came to this.
"I wont hate you for this Kizuka, but I can't help you either. I was supposed to protect you, make sure you weren't hurt. I failed, didn't I? I keep failing. What is it I'm doing wrong?" His words were mixed with despair now. chemicalstar Kizuka stared at Hakan "This wasn't meant to happen!" she exclaimed "Do you think I enjoy the thought of raising a couple of cubs on my own? When I did not ask for them?" She could not udnerstand why Hakan was taunting her like this instead of going man and shouting... This was much more.. hurtful. "Besides, I am still hoping I might not have to raise them alone" She added "You turned out fine by all standards too"
"I wanted to let you know..." she said "Because I thought you should... I don't want to have to hide things from you anymore... I don't ask for your help... This is my mistake and it is my responsibility to raise these cubs properly.. I would never ask anything of you... You could not protect me with these claws from this" she said "Physical figthing won't help this... Only..." Only if you cared enough to prevent me from looking for comfort in somebody else's arms.. she wanted to say but she held back. She saw it now, he cared about her.. and if that ws so it was normal that he was not too keen on this... Kimaria He did not understand. How could he understand? He was still a juvenile and though he often seemed older the truth was he still needed his mother as much as if he was a cub. He was a mama's boy at heart and if he had been older than maybe things would have been different.
Maybe he could have become the father figure.
But at this moment in time it was impossible. He had not meant to hurt Kizuka in such a way and yet he was hurting too and he had no idea why. She was pregnant? So what? She was a friend, nothing more and nothing less. He just felt bitter that she had chosen to have cubs with someone who did not love her eternally. She deserved so much more.
"Kizuka. The day I accepted you as a friend was the day that I promised to protect you as if you were family." He turned to face her again, those cool blue eyes saddened slightly, "you deserve so much better than this Mchele who will not love you as you should be loved." He shook his head. "I am your friend and I am here to help, though I have a feeling you will not allow me to harm this male with my claws." chemicalstar Kizuka smiled, maybe meanign it the first time since the beginning of their meeting.. When and how did Hakan get to be so mature? "I am glad I have you as a friend.. If it was not for you... I would not be able to through all this... It would be .. hard" She sighed "Thank you for being there for me whenever I need you..."
She wanted to be loved, that was true.. She wanted to see someone care about her, that was also true... But those were never her priority... She wanted a sane enviroment for her cubs and that was to it. The revenge did not seem important anymore. "I am glad I was able to share this with you Hakan... I am not sure if I will be able to visit you before I give birth, so come and see us sometime?" The truth was she did not believe that she deserved to be loved. The things she had done... Those horrible memories... No, she did not deserve anything at all.
She slowly got up and smield at Hakan, tears rolling down her face for some unknown reason. "Thank you Hakan" she said. How she wished he was a little older, how she wished her subs were raised by someone like him; dedicated, loving and strong willed. She turned back to return to the Pride Lands. Oh how she wished... Kimaria Oh and if only young Hakan'mawasii had been old enough to understand what love was. He was naive when it came to emotion and perhaps his heart would remain too frosty to ever truly allow him to love anyone.
Yet though he did not have the type of love for Kizuka that she wanted he did have a friendship link with her.
It was this strong and near unbreakable link that made him angry and hungry for revenge. She had said that she didn't want violence and yet his mind craved it. He wanted to show this Mchele who was boss, perhaps even force him into being a good father and staying with her.
Could one learn to love?
He stared at her tear-stained face and his heart sank. There was no choice for it. He'd find this Pridelander and give him a peace of his mind. Sometimes words could hurt more than physical violence ever could. Perhaps it was time for him to use this method instead.
He threw back his head and gave his young, juvenile roar and turned from her to lay back upon his rock. But this time he did not sleep. No. This time he plotted.
It was time for the Dark Warrior to live up to his name once more.

Hakan'mawasii RPKimaria Hakan's mind was filled with confusion and many questions. Questions about Kizuka, questions about himself, questions about his mother and the father he never knew. He also questioned his own motives.
It seemed that though he tried his best to succeed something always seemed to go wrong and though he had no desire to stop his journey to become a true warrior, he was beginning to doubt that maybe he was a little bit ahead of himself. It was these doubts that kept him from training that day and saw him staring into the pool where he had first met the War God Mrost.
Staring at his reflection that wobbled slightly he drew in a deep breath and curled his tail about him.
"So." He spoke quietly to himself. "Where do I go from here?" He had pretty much mastered swimming and had been in a couple of fights, and though he was looking more muscular than what a juvenile should he still felt himself weak.
Would he never be content?
...Perhaps not. Baneful Mrost was almost always travelling, moving between his two main haunts, Nyek's ruins and the elephant graveyard. However, despite his combat and endurance on land, his wings were not his strongest attribute. With his armour and sheer size, flight was arduous. As such, several pools had become favourite stop off points for him to recover befor embarking on another leg of his journey. The place where he had first met Hakan was such a stop off point and today he was on his way to the graveyard as he passed over the shaded area and decided to decend.
He didn't notice Hakan as he swooped over to alight on the dry mud beside the pool, folding his wings and attempting to sort out his slightly ruffled mane. Only when he headed down to the water's edge for a drink did he notice the juvenile. Sitting back, he licked his lips of the excess water and tilted his head.
"Well well well. Fancy encountering you here." Kimaria His head snapped up so that his blue eyes could settle upon the God. His Master. In an instant the dark juvenile gave a small bow of his head as a sign of respect and shifted his position to a more confident one. He did not want the God to know of the doubts that dwelled within his mind. And yet above them all he realised that however much he doubted, Mrost had chosen him and that surely that was enough to show his promise as a Warrior.
Yes. He could not forget their first meeting and the words the God had spoken to him.
"Master Mrost." He spoke, "I am glad we could meet again." He truly was, for as he gazed upon the strong male - whose fur was more blue than any stretch of water he had ever seen - he felt his confidence return. "I was almost afraid you had forgotten me, it's been so long." Baneful Mrost eyed Hakan critically with his bizzare eyes, as usual seeming lost in some other set of thoughts. He could not tell that the juvenile had doubts of his current worth, he was no seer. But he could see that when he had first caught sight of him he had appeared much less confident than he did now. Looking disinterested, he casually leant over to groom a lock of mane over his shoulder with his black tongue, only when this trivial task was done did he reply.
"I do not forget anything." he stated. A lie but one he doubted would be disputed. "But you must remember that a lifetime by your standards is fleeting by mine, and I have many places to be."
He narrowed his eyes slightly, not truly in malice for Hakan didn't give him many areas to fault him in, his subordination flattering and apt.
"What has gone on with you while I've been away?" he asked "I better be impressed." It could be interpreted either way wether his threat was in earnest. Kimaria Hakan had a feeling that Mrost wouldn't be. For how could a God be impressed when he himself was not? He drew in another breath - this one somewhat shaky - and gazed out across the small waterhole.
"Many things have happened Master." He spoke slowly and thoughtfully, his eyes somewhat fuzzy as he saw not the world around him, but his thoughts as they whirled about his young mind.
"I managed to pin a worthy adversary, I had her in my clutches. I could have torn out her throat. Yet I did not." He winced and closed his eyes. "I let her go." He was almost angry at himself for this. Almost. And yet he knew if history were to repeat itself then he would still release her. Why he was not quite sure, perhaps because she so reminded him of himself.
"I found myself in a fight against two hyenas, and would have lost if it were not for the same lioness I freed who came to my aid and helped me draw them back." He growled and turned his head away, clearly ashamed. "Then I let my only friend fall pregnant to a lion who doesn't even love her. I want to kill him but I have yet to do so."
"Why do I have an inability to kill Mrost? Why is it I can fight until the bitter end, tear them to shreds and not deal the final blow? It angers me...and it makes me think that perhaps I am not the Warrior I thought I was." Okay so the questions did point to the one thing he had tried to hide.
"Is this flaw cureable?"
He was doubting. Baneful Mrost listened to what Hakan had to say, his expression unreadable, his tail, as usual waving like a snake, it's razor sharp spikes glinting in the sunlight. Only when the juvenile finished did he eventually speak, his tone sharp.
"Mindless killing is a flaw in itself!" he snapped, narrowing his eyes. "Fights are honourable, as is holding the ability to kill someone else in your very claws. Not to do so in that situation takes more strength than anything else." If there was anything the god hated more than anything else, it was the murder of a single individual in cold blood. War demanded a higher death toll than that, strategic killings, massacres and betrayal.
"Any fool can be a murderer but it takes more than that to be a warrior. You learned a valuable lesson, allies are what count in the long run. Use your strength to surround yourself with trustworthy alies and no enemy will ever get near enough to harm you. Killing them off is just stupidity." Strangely honourable words for a lion of Mrost's demeanour, but wars had been fought for honour as well as greed. Knights of old fought for that, as did the samurai, the most trusted of their masters.
"As for killing this lion who indirectly wronged you...if you feel you have to, seek him out yourself, I have no opinion on the matter, just be sure that your reasons are strong enough that you will not falter at the deathblow. If they are not resolute enough for that then do not even set out." He snarled "Do things wholeheartedly or not at all."
He ruffled his wings and added with a glare
"If you doubt that you are a warrior then you will never be one. Falter and all you hold dear will be mine. If that is not motivation enough to steel your resolution then perhaps your family were never worth it anyway." Kimaria Hakan was both stunned and pleased to hear Mrost's words and felt his midn ease a little, the confusion began to sort itself out and he found himself nodding, his eyes fixing upon the strong male. His respect for the God was ever increased with each word he spoke. So wise and noble!
To be a mere fraction of what this lion was would have been an amazing feat and that was what Hakan wanted. He wanted to make this God proud of him as much as he wanted to keep his family safe and was glad that the two life goals were so intertwined.
At Mrost's final words Hakan felt himself bristle, trhe fur along his shoulders rippling. He had never once forgotten what Mrost had told him. Yet he was certain that from this day forward he would be able to walk again without once looking back.
"I will never fail you Master, I will not look back but instead look forward. Your words of wisdom ring true in my ears and I will not forget them. Ever." He stressed the last word and moved a little closer. "I apologise for doubting, and I swear it will never happen again." He grinned, "most people think of Warriors as nothing but brawn and no brain. Yet that is far from the truth isn't it?" No idiot could plan attacks and think of successful strategies. No. He would be a lion of both strength and wisdom.
"Nothing has changed. I will fight to the death to protect my family and to protect my honour and see that you are proud of me." Baneful Mrost gave Hakan a smirk. The boy was willing to learn and able to understand what was demanded of him with relative ease. He lay down casually in the shade and waved away his apologies. "Doubt will always be a trap you should avoid. Many a soldier on the battlefield wasn't slain by their enemy but by doubting their own abilities." After all, he had almost fallen prey to the emotion once, when he doubted his own judgement.
He grinned at Hakan for his other comment. "There is a word for individuals who fight without reason, logic or self-control. I call them assholes." he waved a paw "Put it this way, no great army was ever led by an idiot but the battlefields are strewn with their corpses. Geniuses lead, idiots follow."
He eyed the dark lion again in silence. Indeed, this one was willing to learn and seemed to need nothing more than a nudge in the right direction every now and again to follow the path he taught. Perhaps someday he would convince or blackmail him into seeking out Na-Be for him. Send an apprentice to fetch the son.
"You do that." he added "And if you succeed...you never know, I may see fit one day to name you one of the high priests of war. But the stakes are high and I will not tolerate weakness." Kimaria He settled more comfortably on the ground and twitched both ears forwards, staring up at the male through the dark tresses of his little mane. It was somewhat comforting to know that he was not the only warrior to ever fall prey to such a thing as doubt and it made him aware that he had to trust more in his own abilities and his training.
If he believed he would succeed, he would. That's what he hoped at any rate.
He puffed out his chest a little at Mrost's last remark and nodded, holding his head at a slightly higher angle. "That would indeed be a great honour and something I can try my best to work towards Master." He spoke, his words filled with awe. "Yet I do have one question I would like to ask."
He stood now, setting all four paws firmly upon the ground as he turned his eyes towards the direction of the Elephat Graveyard. It was there where he had fought those two hyenas. "How does one fight when they are outnumbered? I found myself losing control of the fight almost as soon as the other hyena made an apearance." Would it be best if the Warrior travelled with a companion after all? And if so...who would he get? Baneful Now this was something Mrost understood the cure for, at least insofar as his logic stretched. "When outnumbered, you either use skills to outmanuever the opponent, or make sure you are never outnumbered." he smirked "Travelling solo is foolish...unless you are me." he smirked "Strength in numbers is a well known tactic everywhere and one best adhered to. Judgement is something you will have to learn through experience, judge those who would travel with you harshly, daggers in the back are usually provided, rather kindly by those you think friends. Choose carefully." he stretched his wings in an attempt to distract himself from the peevishness this evoked in him. He himself had been a victim of that too. It was the reason he now travelled alone.
"Even I have those who I would call my underlings, you'd be surprised how useful they can be. After all, no war was ever fought without armies."
He flexed his wings, testing their recovery slightly.
"But do not falter in battle when the odds are stacked against you. I would not permit a lion under my watch to fall by the claws of another. That is a fate for me to dole out." he smirked maliciously "In other words, if you need me that badly, I will be able to trace your belief. Something like that would have penalties though."
Almost to himself he stated "Hyenas are such malleable creatures. Spineless fools with egos to big for their misshapen bodies."Kimaria Snorting lightly Hakan nodded. "I think finding a companion will be a dificult task for me." He smirked a little, "I don't exactly make good company for most and the only friend I do have got 'erself knocked up." He twitched his nose a little. "Though perhaps Mbaya...nah. I don't want her hanging around me." Mbaya was the lioness he had constantly fought with and who had aided him against the hyenas. Yet they didn't get on too well otherwise. In fact he was positive if he travelled with her they'd end up killing one another eventually.
He laughed slightly. "But there must be someone out there who is like minded. Perhaps the Pridelands is just not the best place to find him." For he had not seen any others like him around here. "Though I daren't travel too far from my family..." Realising he was half talking to himself he snapped to attention and cleared his throat.
"Master...why do the hyenas hate lions so much anyway? It was like their sole purpose was to kill any lion who stepped upon their dirty piles of bones." Baneful "You don't always have to like those you travel with, you know.." he was about to say that they'd be your underlings anyway but realised that Hakan didn't seem to have that dominating streak in him. He was assertive but didn't strike Mrost as a lion to tread on others to get to power. This didn't bother the god, he needed good reliable and skilled warriors to serve his purpose as much as he needed leaders. His element was not one generally inclined towards bias. If you could attack on command and were willing, he'd have you, regardless of any of his own character faults.
"But yes, the pridelands are far from warrior country. The firekin or the mtamani would be the best places to seek out like minded lions. As it is you are an anomaly of sorts in a land somewhat lacking in strength of will. use that how you will, either to make fighters of other lions around here or to seek further afeild, you are still young, there is time yet to forge new alliances."
Mrost raised a brow. "Now /that/ is something I don't know. I've never been able to fathom what it is that makes the hyena so hostile. Perhaps its that they see their mortal scrap heap as some sort of final bastion against the lion enemy. They have demonised lions to the point that they no longer wish to hear the other side's opinions, simply their own propaganda." he cackled "They are wonderful to watch, their actions what wars are made of." Kimaria "Firekin? Mtamani? Are those places far from here?" Hakan knew next to nothing about the world mainly because he had spent his life on Prideland borders and because his mother seemed always reluctant to talk about it. "I would leave my family to find alliances if I were only to be gone a couple of days." He grimaced. "I'd hate to leave them longer than that." Yet the idea of gaining an alliance with another strong lion was very tempting, though he'd have to make sure he was the stronger.
He didn't want to be outdone by someone he would consider his back-up in case something went wrong.
"It would be a breath of fresh air to meet some real lions for a change. I despise Pridelanders more than anything." He fluffed himself up a little.
At the further comment about the hyenas Hakan simply nodded and grinned, the stupid canines definatley lacked brains that was for sure. "I agree. Those mutts definately need to be taught a lesson, and if they make us seem so bad then we have a reputation to live up to, right?" There was a strange glint in his eyes that made it quite clear he wouldn't mind killing one of those ruffle-necked beasts. Baneful Mrost nodded "The Firekin inhabit a vast desert, hostile to intruders but as warlike as they come. The Mtamani live within ancient ruins, the path to which is long, arduous and dangerous to tread." he smirked "However, if you should ever wish to pay either of these lands a brief visit someday I could possibly take you there. You have shown a head for heights and getting you allies is of benifit to me aswell so long as you make sure they are aware of my existance." Any belief would do in this world and he knew that with such a strong tie to the safety of his family Hakan would be unwilling to go on such an extensive and dangerous journey.
The dark blue lion nodded "I agree on that one. Any pride that actively advocates peace deserves to be burned to the ground." he let out a low growl, aware to a degree that it was somewhere in those lands that his idiot son lived.
"Exactly. Give them good reason to hate lions since they have done nothing to endear themselves to us." Kimaria Hakan listened, his body tensed slightly as he imagined Prides of warriors, lions that were true to their name and were as strong as they come. If Hakan wasn't so against Pride life perhaps he would have been tempted to join, but alas, he was too happy living life as a rogue with his mother and siblings.
"The Firekin are hostile against strangers and the Mtamani live far away." Hakan's muzzle wrinkled slightly. "If you could help me reach these places than I would not decline, but I wonder...why would a lion choose to leave a warrior pride to travel with a rogue?" He was aware that he wasn't the best at communication or with charming others to his side, it was a flaw that he had and would have to live with unless he forced himself to lose it. "Unless of course..." His eyes flicked briefly to gaze at Mrost. "Unless they know about you and how strong and powerful you are. If I were in their paws I would never turn down such a chance to meet you Master."
He was finally beginning to understand that allias he made himself could in turn be made allies for Mrost.
"Perhaps this would work after all." Baneful Mrost nodded "Not all lions are born warriors, they may be of a bloodline renowned for the ability but they simply do not have the mindset for it. Lions like that would be able to back up an ally but would be unlikely to backstab over the matter of leadership. It's the stupid but strong ones you'd really want on your side." His dark smirk broadened slightly as Hakan clicked onto the more ulterior motives that under-ran Mrost's apparent kindness. "Exactly, anyone who chose to travel with you and aid in your cause would also indirectly fall under my sphere of influence. The more belief I have at my disposal, the more I am capable of. It would benefit us both."
He flicked his tail and scratched behind an ear "Not many lions would turn down a godly insurance policy." he chuckled darkly "Especially when it seems catch-free." Kimaria Hakan nodded, unsheathing his claws to scratch at the dusty ground before him. He was liking this idea even more, if only for the fact that gaining allies would help boost him in Mrost's favour. He particularly favoured the idea of choosing companions who would indeed be less intelligent, they would be easier to lead.
For as Mrost had said, followers were the idiots, not the ones who led them.
His mind slipped from thinking on finding friends to finding lions who would benefit him. It was a nice thought to think that he would lead a lion or two in order to help and please his Master.
"I will do all in my power to help you Master Mrost. It is the least I can do to repay you for training and watching over me." He bowed his head towards the God once more and shifted the dust between his ebony claws. "Where do you suggest I go first? To these Firekin warriors you speak of, or to the Mtamani lands? As long as I am not gone too long I believe it will be okay to leave my family." Baneful Mrost was pleased with the juvenile's willingness to help him further his plans. At first he had been dissaproving of the idea of training the boy but now he was seeing the definate up-sides to this situation. His respectful but far from snivelling tone in his speech reminded the dark blue lion of one of his formerly most trusted lieutenants, a lion killed in the final ambush that sealed him away. He looked thoughtful for a moment, considering the two areas before stating.
"Not the Mtamani yet. Many of their future combatants are as yet cubs, ones that require a special kind of training at the paws of another lion I chose to aid some time ago. The firekin are a much more formidable prospect, and though they are hostile to strangers some are still young, with the pride's innate xenophobia still fledgeling in them. You might find some who would be willing to help you there or at the very least, forge distant allies who just might be of use to you in future." Anywhere Mrost's name was spoken and passed along would strengthen him, he needed both the mortals and the other gods to know that he was back and he was active still. Peace was but a distant dream.
"So long as you avoid the more bitter adults who would enslave you, something I would not tolerate, you would be fine there." He paused. "But...the trip would have to wait a short time, I have things I have to check up on in the elephant graveyard not far from here. When I am done there, then I will come back and meet you here if you wish to go." Kimaria With a sharp nod, the black juvenile puffed out his grey chest and blinked up at Mrost with his azure eyes. This was it, he was truly going to become a warrior. He could feel it in every inch of his being and it felt wonderful. Already he could see himself as the dark shape darting through battles fought between armies of lions so big that they stretched for miles.
The day he had met this God had truly been the greatest thing that had ever happened to him, and for a moment he felt it was almost fate that the two had been drawn together.
Mrost was already like a father to Hakan, and a great one at that. He had never known who had truly sired him and for the moment he didn't care, all he knew was that he would do great things if he stuck by his Master's side.
He was awed by how much the lion knew and listened to him with a nervous anticipation. The Firekin lands then? He didn't like the idea of being enslaved, but if worst came to worst he was sure that Mrost would aid him. "A trip to these Firekin lands would be useful for us both I think. If these lions are such powerful warriors then it would be good to ally with atleast one or two of them." He drew himself up at a proud angle. "That is fine, I have a couple of things I must do before I leave anyway. I shall meet you here when you are ready Master."
He took a step back and stared silently at the blue lion for a moment. "Till next we meet then. Farewell." Baneful Mrost smirked wickedly. A trip to the Firekin lands would be equally risky for him as it would be for Hakan. The lands belonged to others gods than him and there he would have to keep his guard up lest he met one of them. Of course, he wouldn't allow anything to happen to Hakan, not with the lion showing such promise, a light of hope for him in his recent despair that he'd never gather the belief he needed. War placed a heavy toll on his followers but the spoils of war were often the greatest prizes of all.
He nodded, the Firekin would be excellent allies to have on their side and with Hakan's nature as it was, he had a feeling that the desert warriors, the young ones at least, would have a good chance of warming to him in the day or so he was there.
"Then do as you will. I will return in about three days time."
And with that he fanned out his now somewhat recovered wings and swept off in the direction of the graveyard.

Hakan'mawasii RPKimaria Two more days...
Just two more days...
Hakan rolled onto his back and curled his forepaws up against his grey chest, blue eyes focusing on the clouds above him. Morning had just rolled up and Hakan - still bleary-eyed from sleep - had spent the night outside the den due to the warm weather.
His black fur was horrible in such terrible heat and as he thought on plans for the day he was beginning to think that going for a swim would be a good idea. Strange to think of a lion liking water - but Hakan had learnt to swim and now rather enjoyed it. Especially on a hot day like today.
He yawned and rolled onto his belly, taking a moment to lick the dust from one of his paws. Baneful Tatu was walking.
It was all he seemed to do these days, walk and sleep and hunt and walk and sleep. He wasn't sure where he was going, for all he knew he could have walked in one massive circle. He simply followed the herds. And inevitably most herds came to the lush pridelands to graze. It was for this reason that the adolecent found himself on the borders of the pridelands, the grasslands rolled out before him. He raised his head and inhaled, his senses, honed by his life as a rogue informing him that water lay nearby. He headed towards it, his pace not hurried but far from dawdling. However, as he headed towards the scent, he picked up another, a lion, unfamiliar.
Tatu was nothing if not curious, so, abandoning his thirst for now, he headed towards where Hakan lay, his dark and sandy fur evident against the ground around here.Kimaria The sound of paws on the dusty ground did not go unnoticed and almost instantly young Hakan went into 'protect mode'. His family were in the den not too far away and whilst he doubted the new arrival would cause any trouble it was better to be safe than sorry.
He got to his paws, shook the dust from his fur and turned ice blue eyes in the direction of the sound.
An adolescent male.
Turning away fear and summoning all of his courage the young male strode a few steps forwards, ebony claws clicking at the stones beneath him. He stood silently, staring, his gaze fixing firmly upon this stranger. Would he just pass by or would he cause trouble? Hopefully he wouldn't get into a fight, he didn't want to meet Mrost in a battered state especially since he planned to go to hostile lands.
The only sound that emanated from him was a low, quiet growl. Baneful Tatu froze in his tracks at the sound of the growl, one paw still raised as though to take a step. His white-blue gaze fell onto the surprisingly threatening looking juvenile and he frowned, never quite sure how to react towards lions, thinking very much like a leopard in his own mind, he even slept up trees at night and took kills up there.
"Uhm. Hello?" he ventured, his tail flicking nervously behind him. He was built to fight, muscles beaten into a stringy efficiency by years wandering, but he was loathe to do so, for a rogue, injuries and therefore no ability to hunt meant death.
Baneful Tatu still couldn't shake his uncertainty and mentally curse himself for just barging over and letting his curiosity lead him. He just hoped that the dark lion didn't have a disgruntled family nearby, he didn't like having to run for his life all the time. Still, he relaxed somewhat as Hakan did, nodding.
"Uh, I'm following the herds mainly, need them to eat. But as for why I'm here here, I sort of caught your scent and thought I'd come over." he coughed "I don't see lions much. Ever. No pride or anything y'see." Kimaria "Well if it's herds your after make sure yah don't go into the Pridelands to get 'em. I've heard they were diseased." So that was a lie but he didn't really care. "But fellow rogues have to look out for one another, right?" He grinned, a flash of white teeth glinting in the morning sun. "Yah look pretty strong."
His eyes once again travelled across the adolescents form and suddenly he found himself nodding and 'hmming' in a thoughtful way.
"You have a name rogue?" Baneful "Diseased?!" he looked surprised. "Damn." he hated it when things like that happened, meant he'd have to stay around the land edges and scavenge what he could. It was those times he often had to walk the knife edge between life and death at the hands of hunger. He sighed "Thanks for the info, it means things are going to get harder but at least I won't die this way...if I'm lucky." he frowned.
Looking down at himself, he raised a brow "I do? Not sure why, feels like all I do is walk everywhere, walk till I'm so tired I could sleep for a week." he swished his dusty tail. "M'names Tatu, Tatu'Bavu. Yours?"
Kimaria The lion fell for his lie? Well this was all too fun! Hakan liked this lion already.
"Yah can call me Dark Warrior." He didn't trust this one enough to give him his proper name just yet though. Even his best friend Kiz had to go through the test to be blessed with his name. In fact the only lion he had ever given his name to straight off was Mrost. But he was a God and he was all powerful - or so Hakan believed.
"Walking 'elps build muscle I expect." He replied, twitching his long dark tail to curl about his hindquarters.
"If yah stick about maybe I can 'elp yah with that. I may be young but I can 'unt pretty well." This was another lie, in fact Hakan's one and only hunt had been a failure. "Plus I think if yah stick around you'll be of some use. You ever met a God before Tatu'Bavu?" Baneful
Tatu nodded "Okay warrior." the slightest hint of amusement apparent in his expression at such an unusual nickname, he'd never have come up with anything like it. He glanced at his legs again as though they'd been the ones building muscle without his supervision and were now in deep trouble. "Guess it does. That's definately something to remember I'd say. You think walking on my head would make me smarter?" he laughed.
"And really? I don't like trying to scrape by solo when food is hard to find." At the mention of a god, he tilted his head. "No. I thought they were just part of the stories mothers tell their cubs. I didn't think they actually existed."Kimaria Hakan gave him a strange look at his comment about walking on his head and rolled his eyes, reaching up with a paw to wipe at his own nose. "You're a weird one." He spoke matter-of-factly and puffed out his chest a little.
"Gods aren't just stories. I've met and been apprenticed to one yah know." His eyes glinted strangely, "they do good things for their followers you know, very good things."
He tilted his head slightly and gazed unblinkingly at the other male. "They can make you stronger, swifter...smarter." He watied to see a reaction from the other.

Uzushi'bueta RPKimaria The young juvenile pup stretched his front legs and turned his long snout up to the sky. His large ears tipped backwards and for a moment he looked frozen, almond-shaped eyes rising up to the cloudy sky. Was it going to rain?
His head tilted and with the whistle of the wind came a voice. There will be no rain. With a shrug the young male wild dog straightened his lengthening legs and gave a small yip, tail wagging.
Danger had cast across the pack like a shadow and yet Uzushi was not scared. Why worry about things that might happen? It was a waste of time! So listening to Kalpana's urges to get going young Uzushi skipped lightly through the grass, pausing as he caught sight of a huge, black beetle skuttling along te ground.
"Bug!" He called, leaping over it and wheeling around to peer curiously at it. After a moment he lowered his muzzle and sniffed at it, watching as the beetle skuttled up to his snout, tried to climb it, gave up and headed in the other direction.
"Bug shiny!" Uzushi announced to himself, wagging his tail more ferociously than before. Lethrossen Bini was humming as she moved through the grass, a cheerful spring in her step. Her tail was flicking back and forth, though not as quickly as when she got excited. Her gaze was on the sky and not where she was going, but often she looked anywhere besides what she might be tripping over.
The clouds were pretty today, Bini thought it might be time for a little cloud watching. Shiny! Her ears twitched and she 'hmmed?' and looked away from the sky, gaze flicking around. She moved to the left a little, sniffing and slowing her pace.
Suddenly Uzu came into her sight! "Hey I remember you!" Was how she greeted him. Kimaria Uzushi was startled to say the least and after a moment of ear-twitching and snuffling he suddenly realised who she was. "I remember you too!" He squealed, diving forwards in an affectionate tackle. "Bini!" He buffeted himself against her side, taking little heed to the tail whizzing from side to side that threatened to bat the poor femme in the face.
"Where yous been?" He asked, snuffling his nose through her fur as he tried to distinguish the smell of earth, plants and other creatures she might have been with.
It was nice to make new friends but even better to see a familiar face! Lethrossen Bini squealed and laughed, lightly nipping at the smaller wild dog in an equally friendly affection, excited to see the hyper boy. She dropped down to the ground in a sitting position, still chuckling lightly. "Oh i've been many places!" She chirped up excitedly. "I met lots of other wild dogs, too! What about you, Uzushi, have you found that rainbow yet!" It was more of an excited statement than a question. If he had found that rainbow she sure wanted to see it! Kimaria Uzushi gave a small 'woof' sound and paused in his sniffing to gaze up at the elder wild dog, it was so refreshing to meet another who was so like himself! Even his brothers and sister wweren't as fun to be around as Bini was.
"Met others? Oooo! Are they close by?" He gazed around as if he expected to see a group of dogs jump out of the grass. "I met a cheetah, actually I met two cheetahs! I even beat one in a race." He puffed his chest out proudly and beamed happily. "But no, no rainbow yet. I'll keep searching though cos I know I gotta find one someday. Then I'll get to make my wish!" He bounced up and down with an energy that never seemed to run out.
"Not met anyone else for long time, just me, Kalpana...oh!" He paused and glanced over his shoulder, "and shiny bug too!" Lethrossen Bini squeaked and giggled. "Im not sure where they are... it was a few days ago last time I ran into one! So you really beat a cheetah in a race?" Bini seemed very amazed at this, and looked even a little proud that she knew someone who could do such a thing!
"Cheetah are fast, I watch them run sometimes! Who is Kalpana?" Her head tilted, jumping from one subject to the next. Kimaria "Yep, Colche was her name! She had really purty fur, all spotty and bright. It almost made me dizzy." The dog giggled and reached out with a paw to tap at the beetle which appeared to be following him. "We raced and raced, and I fell over but we carried on and I was the winner!" He seemed blissfully unaware that the kindly cheetah had allowed him to win.
"Kalpana!" He paused, ears drooping a little and nose wrinkling in thought. How could he describe Kalpana? She was...she was a voice in his head. Didn't everyone hear voices? "She's my bestest, bestest invisible voice friend. She tells me helpful stuff. Like the time she told me about the hoo-mans and the time when she told me I should go back to the den and the time---" His list was interrupted as the beetle caught him on the paw with it's pincers.
"Shiny bug bite meeee~!" He squealed, waving the paw in the air.

Amari RPBaneful Na was alone again, having left Pale to her own devices for the time being, not wanting to seem too smothering. As it was he had headed to the waterhole where he now lay under a tree, quite happily examining the lands round about him.
It seemed that what Pale had said was true, he had felt no trace of Red the whole day so far and normally he would have sensed that undercurrent in his mind.
Now all he had to content with were the visions. It seemed that the dark lion was in the ruins again, still peevish about something or other, he could feel it, always. Kimaria Amari had left Maawio and his son bathing in the sun as he moved across the grasslands, his great bulk moving slowly and with little grace. He had always been a clumsy oaf, his paws treading on every branch that lay in his path. Such a thing meant that he was in fact a terrible hunter with the skill of a cub.
Until now the fact hadn't really bothered him, but he knew one day his son would expect lessons and he felt that he needed to be able to teach. It would be embarassing to admit he had the hunting abilities of a mouse.
He shook his head, the heavy mane flicking around his face as he turned his rusty body and headed towards the water hole. First a drink and then hunting practise.
It was as he drew nearer that he saw another lion there beneath a tree and with a small huff he circled around making sure to keep his distance, lowering his head to lap at the mirrored surface. Baneful Na when he was reclining like that seemed to all appearances a graceful lion of the mistweaver bloodline, only slightly more build than was usual. Appearances were always deceiving and Na was far from a normal let alone graceful lion.
He watched Amari come down to drink and flicked his tail once before ambling to his paws and lolloping clumsily over to stand beside the other male, the biggest grin he could muster on his face. He stood like that in silence for a few moments before spontaneously yelling.
"HELLOO THERE!" Kimaria Amari was aware of the approaching male, his body tensing up at the sound of heavy paws upon the ground. He'd only met one other blue lion before but this one was not the one from his past. He remembered the fight he had tried to start against the stranger in the southlands and flinched a little. Why was he such a bully? The rogue had even refused to attack him back. Amari might have killed him if it hadn't been for the cub that had been close by. What had his name been again? Bala?
And little Panya, where was she now? He had neglected her too...
The sudden greeting that rattled almost painfully through his ears caused the Pridelander to flinch and snap from his flashback as he turned his head to gaze in utter bewilderment. Before him stood an adult that spoke in the way a cub would.
"Umm...yeah, hello." He looked a little embarrassed and awkward. "Can I help you?" If one paid attention they would hear the strain in his voice as he tried to remain polite. He was a Pridelander now and it would not do to go about attacking other members of the Pride even if they were male...and seemingly nutty. Baneful Na flicked his tail behind him happily, as though it were dancing to it's own little tune as he nodded overenthusiastically. "Yes. YES. Y'can help me, y'see was just wondering."
He grinned and tilted his head "Y'have a name? Or can I give you one? OH pleaseletmemakeoneup!" he bounced on the spot "I'd call you FUZZY. But maybeyourrealname is better than that."
He sat down like a big beanbag and all but sung.
"I'm Na-Be, call me Na, nice to meet you!" Kimaria His eyes practically rolled out of their sockets at the sing-song words that rolled from this odd male's tongue. Never in his whole life had Amari met anyone like this and almost instantly he found himself relaxing. This wasn't like facing an adult at all, this was like conversing with a chatty cub.
Drawing in a deep and calming breath Amari sat back on his rump and curled his tail about him, giving the other male a strange look.
"Well even though Fuzzy does sound like a wonderful name." Was that a hint of sarcasm in his voice? "Most call me Amari." He shook his head, chuckling quietly to himself. "Nice to meet you Na...I think." He added as an afterthought, breaking out into a nervous and confused looking grin. He wasn't quite sure how to deal with someone so hyperactive and...weird!
"I take it your a Pridelander then?" And what if he wasn't? Well Amari didn't have the heart to chuck the poor guy out of the border. Baneful Na nodded again and cheered "Yay! Amari is a much better name than I could come up with! Makes me think of the big blue lake from my dreams! With the birds that go AWWWK! and fly around in circles!" he flapped his arms in an imitation of a seagull.
"Nice to mee Na? FLATTERED!" he yelled, giving a definate impression that he was off his rocker.
"Oh! Oh! Yes! King Ahad...MUFASA said yes that I was allowed to stay, yes, if I followed the rules. I've been doing my best but RED hasn't." he stuck out his bottom lip petulantly before going on. "But red went byebye so NO WORRIES."
He grinned. "You a pridelander too?"Kimaria Amari laughed, leaning back away slightly from the blue lion. "Lake? Birds?" He glanced up to the sky as if expecting them to be there and released a sigh, raising one paw to press it over his eyes. He was so glad that the Pridelands were large, atleast that way he had lesss chance of bumping into this guy.
He was nice and all but Amari felt exhausted already!
"Yep, been an official Pridelander for a few days now, despite the fact I've been living here a lot longer than that."
"Is Red a friend?" He asked, praying it wasn't a relative. He wasn't sure he could handle another lion like this Na-Be character. Though apparently he had gone somewhere? "Left the Pride did he?" Baneful "Yeah, a big blue lake with BOOTS and flappy birds on it. At least I think they were called boots.." he frowned and shook his head "Whatever."
He shook his head as Amari asked about red "No, he's not a friend of mine. He's NOT NICE" he said the words not nice as though they were an insult of the most heinious order. "I'm glad he's gone, he was meen."
He seemed to have gotten tired sitting and got to his feet to just pace around as he talked. "I never get to meet people from the pride. It's so /cool/! GO TEAM PRIDELANDS!" Kimaria Amari nodded slowly, wondering who this Red was, did Mufusa know he'd been causing trouble? He didn't doubt the old King's judgement of character, so maybe he hadn't known about this troublesome lion. Either way it sounded like he was long gone so for now the ex-rogue decided not to worry about it.
"Well sounds like you have some interesting dreams. Don't dream much myself actually..." His sleep was pretty restful and empty, though he decided he didn't mind all that much.
At Na's last comment the lion gave a wary smile, teeth glinting as he tried his best to think of a reply. Somehow this lion's bright and cheerful personality made him seem dull and miserable. Was he getting old or something? Hmm he supposed he needed to loosen up.
"Yah know, I never used to want to be in a Pride but this place aint so bad, you're lucky to have found your way here." He nodded, "plenty o' nice ladies if you know what I mean." He winked and laughed, a little of his old character shining through. Baneful Na nodded "Oh yeah, my dreams are CRAZY. I used to get in trouble from my mother for upsetting her by telling her about them. Sometimes they were too close to realness and people don't like that much." he frowned, not sure what it was about his dreams that unnerved people. "Though sometimes it would be nice to just sleep, no dreams."
He chased his tail in a circle before replying again with a grin. "These lands are SOSO pretty, I love them." he didn't get Amari's insinuation about the ladies though, that was Red's domain. "Yes, the females are really lovely, so friendly and fun to talk to." he felt a guilty twinge at the thought of Palesa but wouldn't let himself dwell on it.Kimaria "Never knew dreams could be like that. Thought they were supposed to be the opposite of real life, about stuff that could never happen." Amari got to his paws too and stretched, yawning wide as she tried to rid himself of the fatigue the sun was doting upon him.
"I searched for a place I could call home for such a long time, and it was here under my nose all this time. Strange how yah miss things sometimes isn't it?" He sighed, turning his head back to the direction of his den. Would they be wondering where he was?
He laughed at Na-Be's misinterpretation but didn't dwell upon it, quite obviously the kid wasn't ready to find lionesses in his heart just yet, or not in the way he meant it. Seemed this one liked to focus on friendships much more.
"I'm sure they think the same about you kid." He wasn't even sure how old this lion was but it was his attitude that made Amari feel somewhat older. "You're one of the first males I've met that I don't feel uptight around." Baneful Na nodded "Well if that's what there s'posed to be, I hope mine are the same." he'd never like to see some of the things he sometimes dreamt come true. "YES. I'd been living along the jungle all that time and never knew there was a place like this to be found anywhere!"
He beamed with pride at Amari's comment "Thanks. You are a nice lion." Anyone who didn't outright freak out or turn agressive at Na's social tactics was a good lion in his books. "It's been gret talkin' to ya."
But Na did have the attention span of a stunned goldfish, and, remembering Pale, he gave Amari a bow and a "See you latarr!" and zoomed off towards the dens. He really was very unpredictable. Kimaria He watched the blue lion take off, his ears still ringing with the other's voice despite the fact that he was alone. What a strange lion he was...what a strange lion.
"Goodbye." With that said he turned to the densite, wondering whether hunting was such a great idea after all. Perhaps it was just best to head home...
He threw back his head and roared, a signal to Maawio that he was on his way. Hunting could wait for another time.

Hakan'mawasii RPchemicalstar Kizuka looked down the hill but she did not see. She walked down the hill but she did not move. Kizuka seemed to be there but she was not. She was blank. Nothing seemed familiar to her anymore. She had no idea where she was and she honestly did not care. She had nowehere to go. She did not need anywhere to go. She was by herself. As usual.
Kizuka had lost the concept of self or society, love or hate, revenge or forgiveness, past or present. She was numb. All she could remember was Red and... She looked ahead with wild eyes and let out an angry roar. She wanted to feel her claws sink into something, something preferrably alive. She wanted to feel life flow though it to her and last for a little longer so she felt whole.
The pink lioness wandered alone. Away from her home. Away from her family. Away from her hopes. Away from her dreams. Away from herself. Kimaria But luckily she was not alone.
For close by walked a lone juvenile, his black pelt burning like dark fire beneath the sun. His slitted eyes glowed with an almost unnatural sheen and the dust on his paws flecked them gold.
Hakan was looking for his one and only friend and was lucky to say the least. For across the air came a ferocious roar, it rattled in his skull and trembled the stones at his paws. The strange thing was that he could have sworn it belonged to Kizuka...and yet why would she be so angry?
His slow gait quickened as he dashed along the ground, each paw springing him along. His body was thickening out, strengthening and gaining the build that was customary for a warrior.
Then he saw her, the white and pink lioness he had learned to call friend. And yet whilst he knew it was Kizuka she looked different, as if she had been twisted or broken, leaving only the shell of her behind.
He opened his jaws, filled his lungs with air and bellowed out her name. "Kizuka!!!" He hesitated a second longer and continued, "It's me! Wait up!!" If that Mchele had laid a claw on her the golden pridelander was in for it. chemicalstar Kizuka turned around abrubtly at the voice and stared around with her blank and wild eyes. She heard someone call something, but both the name and the voice were unfamiliar to her. She roared at the distance. She would rip apart the stranger who dared disturb her solitude.
The pink lioness bared her claws and teeth at the sight of the unfamiliar lion, almost half her size, approached her. She roared threateningly, but she did not wish to drive him away. She wanted him to come close so she could lay her claws on him, feel his beating heart under her and likeweise feel it stop beating.
Kizuka did not realize this lion was Hakan, her beloved friend just like she didn't realize she herself was Kizuka. She was a wind beast now, merciless, a killing machine without emotions, no commitments. Just like Red described her. A being that every single lion wanted to be.
Without waiting too long, Kizuka jumped on the dark juvenile and pushed him on the ground with the sole purpose of killing him. Kizuka had always been an excellent hunter and her insanity gave her a bitter twist of an assassin too. She did not have any emotions and in that moment she was the most fearsome lion that this young black one could ever come across. Her crazed pink eyes glared at those blue ones of the lion just as she prepared herself to give the fatal blow. Kimaria He was surprised.
Very, very surprised.
He was so surprised that he momentarily forgot what surprise was!!
Yet as Hakan lay in Kizuka's grasp he did not move, he did not make a sound. Instead he stared at her with those cool blue eyes, searching her own for the kind soul he had come to care for. Where was kindly, loving Kizuka that he had grown attatched to? Where was the lioness he had considered part of his family?
Perhaps he would have been afraid if his midn had taken the time to consider what a dangerous situation he was in. And yet the shock mixed with the disbelief that this was his friend made him strangely void of emotion.
Then finally realisation struck him and he bristled, she wouldn't really kill him...would she?
He couldn't die, not here, not now and definately not like this!
So summoning his strength he tried to force her off of him, back legs raising up to press firmly against her stomach as if trying to raise her up to allow him to slip free.
"Kizuka, where are you!? You are not my beautiful friend!" His eyes narrowed as he tried to reach her wherever she may be. "Where is the friend that I love?!" Had he lost her too? chemicalstar Kizuka, still unaware of her own being, resisted Hakan's pushes with ease and pinned him on the ground harder. The adrenaline... Yes she liked that. She smiled with a smile that was not her usual sweet one. She leaned over to sniff the male. He did not smell afraid. She chuckled. She liked that.
"Why are you calling me Kizuka?" she asked, not that she cared but.. That name sounded familiar. The glow in her dark pink eyes subsided for a moment as she felt she remembered something. Something she held very dear. It could not be, she held nothing dear, not even herself.
She pushed her claws in Hakan's pelt a little deeper. If his coat was not so dark maybe she could see the blood her sharp nails possibly drew on his skin. He was confusing her. So why could she not kill her? Like she did with others? She cursed under her breath. The adrenaline was gone. His beautiful friend? Damn beautiful. She felt as hollow as ever. Red has satisfied her hunger for a short time, he was like her, an empty shell. He was almost worhty enough to love had she feelings. Alas, she did not. She used, abused and left what she did not want behnd. That was all there is to her. And yet, she found it hard to finish this lion off.
She took her claws of him, letting him go, and tried to breath. A name.. A name... She was looking for a name. Her name perhaps for it was foreign to her. Before last night she was a name. And her misery mixed with that of Red made her forget that name, that being.. That drunken feeling, that ecstasy of torment and pain.
Kizuka tried to take in some air but failed. The realization, the memories coming back to her was just too much for the lioness to take in physically. She was choking, choking in her own tears. She did not even know why she was crying. Had she not punished herself enough for her sins? Kimaria "Because that is your name, the name of my friend, the name of the lioness I care about." His voice was little above a whisper.
He winced slightly at the pinpricks of her claws as they buried themselves into his fur and punctured the surface of his skin. He ignored the blood, ignored the pain, only continued to stare at her, notcing the slight change in her eyes.
Was he reaching her at all?
At first he thought it had been a wasted effort but now...
Then in the next moment he was being released and he got to his paws, raising his head up to glance at her. She looked so different, she looked awful and his heart sank.
"Kiz..." He took a few reluctant steps forward, unsure whether she would pin him again and yet he needed to reach her. He approached slowly, pads hitting the ground with quiet thuds as he moved to press his face gently against the curve of her neck. "What happened to you..." He felt tears p***k at his eyes but forced them back. He never had and never would allow himself to cry. chemicalstar Kizuka pulled back from Hakan instantly. She could not allow him to touch her, or no one. What had she done?... As the memories slowly returned Kizuka became hysterical from delustional. It was too much to take, this life she was living, the things she lived through, the deaths, the murders, her murders. Then out of nowhere the vision of her three cubs appeared before her eyes... How could she forsaken them? How could she let in all that pain which drove her insane? She had promised.. She had promised herself she would never give in.. but resisting the urge had caused her to lose herself mentally and physically.
She could not bring herself to look at Hakan, she had attacked him. She had attacked her most beloved friend... The only person who understood her... or seemed to at least. She had to go, she had to return home. She did not raise her eyes as she got up... but she could not leave. She was confused, she was lost. She knew now she could not leave Hakan, not tell him what she had done the night before. Not that she was ashamed, no no. The wild Kizuka remained inside her, even though she was sated and peaceful at the moment Kizuka knew now that she could never be the loving housewife she pretended to be. Would Hakan accept her like she was like Red did? Would he try to fill the hole in her soul?
"I am sorry.." she murmured when she finally brought herself to confront the juvenile "I am so... so sorry..." her voice faded into a mere whisper. If she was Hakan, she would never forgive herself. "I was not... I did not... mean.. to..." Kimaria At hearing her voice - quiet and normal - just like the Kiz he remembered he found himself breathing a deep sigh of relief. He had never felt so relieved to hear anyone's voice as he did now.
"You don't need to apologise." He understood, for he too had become blinded by rage a little too often, it was not something he was proud of but it was also not somethign one could easily control.
Yet even though he knew she had not wanted to be touched he moved forwards again, brushing his muzzle against the side of her face. The touch was featherlight, but hopefully was strong enough to calm her.
"I understand what it's like, to be so...so angry." He closed his eyes and swallowed, forcing himself to continue. "please don't be sad Kizuka...please." He drew back to stare into her eyes, the sadness evident within them. "Tell me...tell me what happened. I'm hear to listen...and I won't judge you. I have no right to judge you." chemicalstar Kizuka murmured "Don't.. Please don't come close..." She was talking to herself more than to anyone "I am dangerous..." Her pink eyes searched the horizon for a reason for such a outburst, such an uncontrollable rage and weariness "I am not who you think I am.." she continued. She was tired of pretending. She was tired of trying to be the sweet one. he knew she could never return to what she had been, what she was anymore. She would go away... She would raise her cubs and go far far away where she could be herself. Where she did not have to pretend.
She took a step backwards.. how could she tell him she had met someone just like her? In a body she did not belong, in a life she did not fit in. She was a size too big for the space assigned to her... How could she tell she willingly took in all of Red's pain in addition to hers which was apparently too much for her to take? She had to tell him... She could not lie to Hakan, not anymore. She saw him as an adult rather than the juvenile he was.
The rage was still there, the wish to hurt things and make them bend to her own will, but she had put them on hold. She had to tell Hakan first, or she knew she would never be able to. So she did... she told the black lion her feelings, her thoughts, her actions.
I let myself fall... I let myself fall...There's no turning back, since I let myself fall... I was alone, I always was, and so much in pain.. My past.. It still hurts. The life i am trying to live which is not mine conflicts with who I am. So I went on a hunt to calm myself down, and then I met him.. Red.. Who was as emotionless as I was in that state, as blank as empty. So I let him take my pain and double it. It felt good, momentarily... but nothing really feels this hole I have. I want to forget.. I want to be free. I am not as innocent as you guess. I am a murderer and always will be. I regret them but what scares me that I enjoyed them. I enjoy every single kill... I realize I did not kill because I had to, but because I wanted to. I am numb. Numb to everything but my cubs and... you...
Kimaria Hakan listened without saying anything, his ears and eyes following her as she spoke. He was taken away, taken far away to a place where Kizuka's pain dwelled. Did she really think he would care that she had killed? No. He more than anyone knew what it was like to kill, to murder, but she had done it because of her mother, hadn't she? That motive was good enough for him, more than good enough even. He would have done the same thing.
If his mother were killed he knew there'd be no stopping his wrath. He would tear through lions as one tears through the grass. His claws would kill and his teeth too. He knew this for a fact.
"Listen to me Kizuka." His words were serious, "do you not think I am dangerous? If I wish it I could kill with my claws, I could be blinded with rage. I could end life with a single slash of my paw. My future will be full of killing, slaughter and murder. You need to leave the past behind you, move on. Settle here in the...pridelands." The words sounded foul in his mouth, for he of all lions wished that she would stay with him as a rogue. "You have your family, you have safety, you deserve to be happy no matter what you think."
"You are not evil, you are my friend. You have a dark side, yes, but don't we all? Kizuka. You may be standing half in shadow but you also stand in light. There is a beauty inside you that even I can see."
He moved to try and nuzzle against her again, trying to use touch as a type of comfort. His mother always nuzzled him when he was down. chemicalstar Kizuka let Hakan come closer to her this time because she had no more resistance in her anymore. She found it hard to accept it, but she had never felt more free more reckless more powerful she had felt the night before. She knew if she hadf the chance she would do the same thing again.. and again.. and again.
"I will leave" she said "I cannot stay In the Pridelands... You see what it has done to me" she explained "I cannot let the dark side you are talking about get hold of me again. I cannot let Mchele or any of my cubs see it.." she looked away "That is why I will leave. That is why I will become a rogue once again. As I always needed to be..." The emotions inside her had started to calm down. With the arrival of calmness, numbness temporarily melted away "Hakan, you are wrong. I did not only kill for my mother. I killed for pleasure. I enjoyed it. Now I see that. My revenge was just an excuse.. An excuse I could not execute..."
The was a fine line between a foolishness and courage, duty and pleasure, a warrior and an assassion. From the ashes of Kizuka the mother, Kizuka the gentle raised something so mighty that the pink lioness did not even know how to handle it. She needed someone to keep her within the limit, the boundaries of being normal. She finally accepted herself for what she was, would Hakan? Kimaria "Are you sure that is what you want?" He swallowed. "No one knows what is best for you other than yourself. I will be here by your side for as long as you need me." He gave her a stern look. "I have no love for the Pridelands but if it is your wish to stay I will not hate you for it."
He reached forward to press himself against her side, sighing sadly. What was he supposed to do or say? He had no idea how to make her feel better. No idea at all.
"Kiz, if there's anything I can do to help let me know." He shivered slightly, "I don't care about what you did, I can tell that you feel guilty, you feel bad for it. You have punished yourself enough. It's time to let it go. Time to move on. You only have one chance at life. Make sure it was one worth living. Please."
He wanted to beg and plead for her to return to how she was before. "I am rogue and always will be. My future is tied up with war, I cannot promise you shelter and security. All I can promise is friendship and loyalty. You are my friend Kizuka, tell me what I must do and I will do it." chemicalstar Kizuka gave a weary smile. She really understood how much she needed a friend like Hakan in that very moment.. No, that was wrong. She understood she needed Hakan, to keep her sane. "When I leave the Pridelands..." she explained "I would very much like to be able to see you.. That is the only thing you can do for me..." She nodded. She wanted to stay by him in his travels, be his companion. However, she did not know what would happen when the night fell upon her again.. would she attack Hakan in her blind rage again? She could not risk that.
"I am done pitying myself... but I have seen far too much to enjoy this pathetic life." She needed a reason to make her enjoy every breath she took, but she was too wilted up to find one. "Take me with you" the pink lioness said "Take me with you, I want to see the war, the wreck, I need to see to understand the opposite.. The beauty... I need to understand..." She said "And I need to be with you, my friend." This was a once way ticket she was choosing. "Only with you can I feel the fragment of peace of what once existed." Kimaria What was she asking? Did she want a future that entwined with his own? Did she want to become a follower of Mrost? Give up her life to gain strength? He couldn't let her do that. He couldn't bare it.
He shook his head, teeth chattering as he parted his maw to try and speak. He didn't want the life of a warrioress for her, not anymore. She was the only link he had to being normal, she helped him forget about his duties if only for a little while. How could he?! How could he put her in a position where she might be hurt or killed?
"There are things about me you don't know Kiz, things that I didn't want anyone to know." He swallowed, realising it was the time to tell her. If she heard what he had to say about Mrost maybe she would change her mind.
"I don't know if you believe in Gods, but I can tell you now that they are as real as you and me. They change the world with their power, they rule it with their skills and sometimes a God will choose a mortal to help him on his way." He paused here and turned his gaze to the direction of the waterhole. "One day I was approached by a God with a proposition I couldn't refuse. He would train me, give me strength, teach me the ways to become a true warrior, and in return I would give myself to him. If I failed or faltered in any way he would kill everything dear to me. I have been set on a path and I cannot leave it. The God of War is my Master now. He teaches things to me and in return I gather followers and believers to give him strength. For a God with no believers has no power."
He paused and shook his head. "Whilst my childhood is gone I have a future that will see me as a strong lion, one who can kill and protect if he so desires. Mrost is my Master, I will do as he wishes and both of us gain. Do you really want to become a part of that war, it could mean turning upon the Pridelands, killing all those who live in those borders."
"You have seen enough killing Kiz...don't you think?" He paused here to let her answer, dearly hoping she would not choose the path he had but suspecting that she probably would. chemicalstar Kizuka listened, her entire attention turned to what Hakan had to say. Gods? She had heard tales of them, but never thought they were true... She was surprised, but not amazed. Gods may exist, but she most certainly was not impressed by them. They held power, which they did not gain but were their birthright--and were powerful as long as they had some weaklings following them. She looked at Hakan affectionetaly. Poor little baby, she thought, he needs a reason for his existence. He was trying to fill his own hole with this God of War. She would respect that because she was quite similar, striving to find a reason for herself... but she would follow noone. She could not, it was not in her blood. She could not become a puppet of a god just because he held more power than her. Power could be gained. She would defy the Gods, if needed to be. She had nothing to lose, no fear.
"I don't want to come with you to follow this God of yours, I am coming because I want to be with you" she briefly replied "There is no use in denying what I really am. I will always remain the Kizuka you know and be so different from her at the same time." She looked away and repeated what she said to Red the previous night "Every living thing is made to die.. I do not hesitate to kill as long as it is not against my own benefits." She looked at Hakan "I kill to protect my family, me, and to keep me sane. That is all. I will take no part in a war that is not mine." But she guessed Hakan's war would be her war too. "I cannot fight for your God, but I can fight for you. All I want is a reassurance that my family will be protected..." She looked at him, if she did not went away, she suspected that she herself would be the one to shatter her own family. Was Red a part of all this too? Was that why he was so hollow? Kimaria Hakan nodded slowly, drawing in a breath of relief. If she stuck by his side atleast then he could protect her.
Yet at the same time as he listened to her words he found himself grow sad. This was not the same Kizuka he had met all those days ago, that cheerful lioness who had been friend with that pink leopard. She was so different, but then again so was he.
He took a step back, shaking his head slowly from side to side. In a way he had wanted this. Wanted her to be a rogue, so then why did he feel so sad about it? Why did his heart tell him that she should stay. She had a family now.
"And your cubs?" He finally rasped. For how would he have reacted if his mother had abandoned him. "You wish to leave them here without a mother to guide and love them? You speak as if the only thing that will make you happy is killing." He raised his head, "Killing does not come so naturally to me. I let my enemies slide between my claws because I do not feel right to take their life. By killing a nother you kill someone's son, daughter, sister, brother, cousin, mother, father. When one dies others will always mourn. I cannot rid that from my mind when I go to give that final strike."
He turned his head. "Only in a rage can I kill. Kizuka, something has changed in you, something which makes you a stranger. Yet I will keep my promise. You may walk by my side. You may watch on as I fight a God's war. I only hope that it brings you the peace you need and deserve." chemicalstar Kizuka nodded. She had changed, it was not an over-night change. The one she tried to hide for so long. "The only thing that I enjoy is not the killing..." She replied. The only thing that haunted her was not her nightmares. "Do you remember the lioness I killed in vain thinking she murdered my mother?" She asked "She is not the only one. I killed those in rage, blinded by my anger and ambitions..." Her voice was calm yet a tinge of saddness still leaked through "I am not exactly designed to be stealth" she said indicating her colors "The families of the ones I killed... They want their rightful revenge..." She had done the same thing, her mother's death would be avenged, until she realized how unable she herself was.
"They found me... They know I am in the Pridelands" She could not meet Hakan's eyes with her pink ones "See, my past physically haunts me... The killing will not stop as long as I am alive" Her eyes were filled with pain "I kill to protect my family too you see, but not like you... I am killing instead of trying to correct my mistakes I have done so long ago for what I have done cannot be undone. As long as I am here, my family is never safe. My cubs..." she thought of the three beautiful lions which were now safe with their father Mchele "Do not think so low of me" The pink lioness said "If I do not kill, they will get to me, they will do what I have done to them.. I cannot let them hurt my babies..." She shook her head "I simply cannot." She did not talk this much to anyone but Hakan "This is what I meant when I said I am killing to keep me sane... Under these circumstances, would you be able to remain sane?"
Kizuka knew she was ready to company Hakan to wheverever he was going but was he ready for this? "I do not want you to accept me like this, acceptance is not what I need. I need you to embrace me with all these truths you know about me, now that you see me clearly behind the happy facade" Only for one person could she accept to be tied down. Not Mchele, not Red, only him. Only for him she could feel ashamed of what she had done the previous night... Kimaria "Then you have not learnt from your mistakes? It is not too late to repent Kizuka." He closed his eyes, not sure what to say. How would he have acted in her situation? He pondered on it for a moment and then realised he would have done the same thing. He would have fought and killed all those who came for him.
Could he blame her for doing something that he himself would have done?
"Kizuka. You do not need to fear these lions. I will protect you, we can fight side-by-side if you wish it." He diverted his eyes. "But the killing has to stop one day...you cannot continue living the life you have been, it does not sit well with you."
"One day you will have to face up to it with claws sheathed." chemicalstar Kizuka looked at Hakan who had seemed to grow up and matured within a very short amount of time with questioning eyes "I dont know how... I seriously do not know how.. Hakan... Tell me.. How can I correct my mistakes? How can I do that without letting them hurt my family? It is impossible" She sadly shook her head "Impossible..."
It would not end, he was right, it would not end... Hakan was following apath of the warrior, but then again he did not like the killing. He had not yet became numb to it like she did. He was still a lion. He would soon lose his innocence in the path he was following "Hakan, I know it is too late to change your mind... But... Would you... Would you just give up all this? We could..." she knew she was makign no sense "Run away... Run far away where we can raise my cubs safely away from the wars of the world... " How could they be immune to all the darkness int he wrold? How she hoped he said yes, but knew he would not.. If she was in his place she might have, but then again she carried no love for gods inside her heart. She would not know. "There is no other place I wish to be other than your side" This last comment was very serious, on Kizuka's side at least. Hakan was the one who brough her back from the verge of madness. She loved him. Yes she did. And his love was the only light she could hope to hang onto inside her shattered empty shell of a soul. Kimaria "I can't...I can't leave." He choked, "if I turn back now then the God's wrath will land upon my family. They will suffer because I broke my oath. I cannot do that, I could not live with myself." The very thought of it made him feel sick and with a shake of his head he took a few steps back, moving somewhat clumsily.
He was still too young to even comprehend what love was. All he knwe was that Kizuka was one of his most dear friends and that he didn't want to lose her.
"You can end it, we both can. Everything can be made alright because anything can be forgiven. You need to seek forgiveness Kiz...would your cubs really want to be with you if they knew that their lives had brought death upon so many?"

Hakan'mawasii RPLethrossen Kenai was getting a little worried and very anxious, he thought Taabu should be around by now. He wasn't very much for the idea of being left alone in lands he had no knowledge of. The only knowledge of any given land he posessed were his homelands, and he wasn't even sure the exact direction they lay in.
But he was trying to push these feelings aside, moving through the sevannah grass close to the pridelands. He wasn't sure why he liked it in this place so much, perhaps because Taabu had told him a lot of it from the little visit his nephew had taken there. Kimaria Hakan walked and walked some more, head down, tail dragging and blue eyes dull.
What had happened to his beautiful friend? He had not wanted to leave her and yet he feared being by her side for any longer than necessary. She had pinned him, threatneed to kill him and he was sure if he hadn't gotten through to her he would have been lying dead right now.
Yet through all the sadness he had indeed seen the light and he wanted more than ever now to protect her.
It was a strangely familiar scent on the wind that caught his attention and dragged him from his thoughts. A scent that he couldn't quite place a face to.
He dropped to the ground almost instantly, letting his dark body be consumed by golden grass, listening to the steayd thud of approaching paws.
For now he would remain hidden and wait to see who approached. Lethrossen Kenai wasn't all too aware of Hakan at the moment. His gaze had slowly floated up to the sky as he'd continued on his way. It wasn't cloudy at all, the sky seemed to stretch forever. It reminded him of Isoke, and his mum. Mostly their eyes. Come to think of it, half of his family had the same color blue eyes, eyes that were darker than the sky but sky-like none the less.
A slow purr rumbled from his throat, and he looked away. In some ways he wanted to go back home, already. He missed his family.
He was beginning to head right by Hakan, still not noticing the other. Kimaria His eyes finally fell upon the Juvenile and with a small huff Hakan realised who it was. That pesky little lion he had told to go home. Why was he back here again anyway? Hadn't he been scared enough before?!
Well imbeciles tended to do silly things and not learn from their mistakes so he guessed he shouldn't have been that surprised.
Maybe this one would turn out to be a good fighter after all?
Hmmm...unlikely, but still, Hakan wasn't in the mood for fighting, not when he still had healing wounds to take care of. He waited a second more and leapt up out of his hiding place, snarling and bristling.
"So, my prey has returned." He spoke, eyes flashing mischieviously. Lethrossen Kenai's eyes widened and his fur fluffed up immedietly as his head jerked, his body stumbling away from the dark lion that lept out. He let out a surprised hiss, though it was of pure fright and not of threat.
Once the initial surprise was over he calmed, slightly. But he backed up a little more, looking a little defensive. He'd met this lion before, a while ago. "No prey ah yers 'as returned.." He said slowly, almost in a pouty manner. He didn't like this bully. Kimaria Hakan'mawasii laughed, eyes shining as he shook the tuft of mane from his eyes. "So I see..." He trailed off, clawing at the ground beneath his forepaws. "Yah 'ave some guts coming back 'ere after what 'appened last time. Tell me short stuff, why d'yah keep coming back?"
His hackles smoothed over once again but that strange glitter remained in his eyes. The black tuft of his tail thrashed behind him, sweeping up dust into the air.
"Are yah brave, or just stupid?" Lethrossen Kenai cringed slightly, his body tense and his fur hadn't flattened. How uneasy he felt! He wished Taabu would come back. Taabu wasn't a fighter either, not that Kenai knew, but he was well aware the other was very good with words. "I do no be coming back teh yeh, or be tryin' to run into yeh. So tha' is no yer concern." He wanted to just snarl out 'mind your own business' but his upbringing had told him that was very rude and he didn't like being so rude.
"I do no be brave or stupid." He said after a moment, frowning. He had no problem admitting that he wasn't brave. Kimaria "Fair enough." Hakan grinned coldly - if such a thing was possible, "seems like you've grown a little since we last met, Puffball." He shook his head and took a small step forwards, paws falling upon the ground with steady thuds.
"Courage lies inside every single lion. They need only know 'ow to find it. A lion without courage might as well go live with the dogs." He growled, thinking back to those hyenas that dared lay claw and tooth upon him. He had sent them running and because of their stupid actions they had imprinted a deep hatred in his heart.
If ever he crossed path with one of those filthy, disgusting animals again he'd tear them limb from limb and spread their blood over the bones they called 'home'.
"So what are you? Do you walk as a lion or as a dog?" His teeth clipped sharply together. Lethrossen Kenai's eyes narrowed very slightly, and he caught himself moving back again. After a moment he stood his ground, tail flicking behind him. "Bravery do be different frem courage." He finally said, not offering a 'yes' or 'no' answer. He was a lion of course, so he walked as one. So really the other's question made no sense to him.
Courage and bravery were different in some ways, but basically the same. It didn't matter to Kenai. The Brave were often foolish in his mind, and the couragous seemed to find themselves being brave only in the most needed situations. Kenai wasn't brave, he didn't go around acting brave either. If the other lion in front of him was what brave was, Kenai didn't want to ever be it. Though he had no real example of courage. Kimaria "Brave and courage walk paw in paw." He growled, lowering his head and narrowing his eyes. "You cannot 'ave one without the other." Well wasn't this conversation fun.
He didn't think the War God would have use of this one and neither did he, probaby best just to leave this one to go on his way. Hakan was a bully but he was not a murderer - unless of course you were a Hyena or hurt his family in some way.
"Listen Puffball, I can tell yah don't 'ave a clue what I'm talking about so I'll save my breath." He huffed, whiskers puffing out slightly, "rogues and pride members can never get on in my opinion." Lethrossen Kenai huffed himself. Bravery and courage were very simular, but it was an opinion and how you chose to interperate each to really know if they went paw in paw. But he knew arguing would get him no where.
Kenai's brows rose slowly. "Just because a lion no be frem the pridelands pride does no mean 'e be a rogue." He wasn't saying this in a 'know-everything' manner, he was simply pointing it out. He was no rogue. After a moment he shifted, he wanted to be away from this other. Kimaria "Doesn't matter if you're from the Pridelands or any other pride, makes no difference to me." He said, carving patterns into the ground with an extended claw. "They're all equally weak, give or take a few." He was of course referring to the prides mentioned by Mrost, one of which being the Firekin pride.
"So you lack desire to gain strength? You want to remain a weakling your whole life? There are ways to get stronger, ways that only I and one other can offer to you." Mrrr...it was worth a try, right?
He doubted the juvenile would want anything to do with it but it never hurt to make very sure. Either way he would not start his proper search until he had visited stronger parts of the world. Lethrossen Kenai flinched slightly, he was becoming more and more uneasy. He began to walk to the left. "Pah, yeh can grow strong in more then jus' strength." He breathed out softly. Strength was not everything to Kenai. "I will no be seein' yeh." He said, his voice finally growing firm, hoping the otehr would leave him be as he began to depart. Kimaria Just as he expected. This one was weak.
Hakan knew only of the strength of good tactics and fighting, everything else fell on deaf ears. He cared not for love and kindness to strangers, or helping others who had no attachment to him. His loyalties lay with his family and with Kizuka.
"Very well." He said, watching as the other began to head off, "find this other strength and when you 'ave come back and beat me with it." And with this said the young lion turned and headed off towards his den.
What a rubbishy day...

Hakan'mawasii RP
Journey into the Firekin LandsKimaria It was the third day and already Hakan was pacing nervously by the waterside. Mrost had said he would return and the juvenile did not doubt it, he was actually worried over a completely different reason.
Everyone here seemed crazy! His mother had told him that she would eventually die whether he protected her well or not, his friend had gone insane and he was constantly bumping into weak and pathetic beings.
It would be good to get away for a while.
Flexing his claws he forced himself to sit and wait, growling quietly as he stared at his reflection. He was growing fast and Hakan couldn't help but feel a little concerned that he may be too big to carry. He'd soon be hitting adolescence and though it was a stage he was greatly looking forward to it was also slightly worrying. He wouldn't be as fast on his feet but he would be stronger. Was it okay to sacrfice agility for strength? He supposed so.
With a shake of his head he let his eyes fall closed, tail curling about a hind leg as he pondered on what the next few days might bring. Baneful Mrost made his way back to the waterhole, that, for him marked the mid-way point between the wto areas he frequented most of all. He figured it was best for the time being to get away from the pridelands, out there he get too agitated and anxious. Besides, he had given Hakan his word and though not normally a lion to keep said word, Hakan was pretty high in his favour. He flew towards the waterhole with quite a lot of grace for a lion clad in armour, alighting with much less.
He landed at a half-run, slowing to a casual walk as he spotted Hakan, his tail curling behind him.
"Good to know you have some manner of timekeeping ability." Mrost didn't go in for greetings, they struck him as, on the whole, unneccissary.
"How go things to date?" Kimaria He brightened almost instantly at hearing the God's approach and was on his feet to stand at attention just as the blue lion's paws met with the ground.
"Master." He acknowledged with a gentle dip of his head, before raising his eyes to stare at the great lion through the strands of his ever growing mane. "It would never do to keep you waiting. Things here are..." He trailed off, searching for the right word. "Getting complicated. I have learnt a few things the past couple of days that have made me feel somewhat different about life in general."
His tail twitched slowly to the left and then to the right, indicating that the young lion was thinking about things obviously very close to him.
He wanted to ask the God how things had been going for him but felt it strangely unnesecary. It felt wrong to enquire into the life of a greater being than himself and he was sure that if it was anything he needed to know then Mrost would tell him in his own time. Baneful Mrost sat himself down not far from Hakan, folding his bony wings along his back. He looked disinterested, as usual but was still listening to everything Hakan had to say. He raised a single brow. "What sort of complicated? Hopefully nothing that would make you reconsider the path you chose." After all, there were consequences of something like that.
He finally turned his slitted gaze on Hakan, looking him over, still somewhat taken by surprise at the rate mortal lions grew. He could hardly recall ever being so young, something he chalked up to his kind. Looking away again he stated simply "You grow quickly."Kimaria "You may laugh to discover that it never occured to me that we lions can die simply of old age." He sighed, recalling the talk he'd had with his mother. "My mother says she feels old...that no matter how strong I get she'll end up dying anyway. That doesn't mean I will falter on my path Master. I have and never will regret accepting your offer, for with it I can protect her until that time comes. I can make sure she dies quietly and peacefully instead of racked with pain. That thought is enough to ease my heartache."
At Mrost's second comment he nodded gravely, "my growth means increase in strength and muscle but...I'm afraid my speed may suffer." He twitched his nose, the whiskers on hiis muzzle dancing as he did so.
"I shall have to keep up my training to ensure I don't become slow. I've found that speed in a battle can be just as useful as strength. Being able to dodge attacks is an extremely useful skill to have." Baneful
Mrost shrugged "Not really. I myself only found out how time can ravage others when I first came to this world." he frowned "I lost some of my greatest generals to the cruel claws of time." at one time Mrost had been much closer to mortals, moving amongst them as though he was one of their kind. He learned all too quickly that this path was the one that led to the greatest heartache and he distanced himself to the point he was at now where the only contact he had with mortals was brief and fleeting. He nodded solemnly at Hakan. "No mother ever died in shame knowing their son was out there fighting for them." It was a truth of sorts, but Mrost knew all too well that some mothers died of heartbreak as war claimed their sons for it's own. He would not let this be the case for Hakan at least.
"Speed can be suitably sacrificed for mass and strength, the lions you might have to fight in future will have done the same. But keep up your training and you, unlike them will not lose it all."Kimaria Hakan nodded, listening to the words of the wise God. It was somewhat soothing to hear that he understood how he felt and was not amused at how naive he had been. It was a terrifying thought to think that one day he too would die, very terrifying indeed. Yet knowing this fact gave him the strength to make the most of the time he was given.
"I shall continue my training every day without fail." He replied firmly, puffing out his chest a little more and setting his jaw so that he looked more serious.
"And what of the Firekin, Master? Is it now time to pay them a visit?" Baneful Mrost nodded.
"If you still wish to go, I can take you. Just remember when we arrive to be on your guard, after all it is pridal territory and the Firekin do not, generally take kindly to strangers, particularly not lions of your colouration."
he smirked. "However, when we arrive, I can fix that. You will be as red as a true firekin for an hour or so, then I have to recharge my illusions before I can re-enchant. Be sure to make the most of your time there."
He flared out his wings and flapped them twice, lifting himself off of the ground, then backwinging he hovered over Hakan and took hold of him under his arms, lifting both of them with relative ease. Whatever it was that made Mrost able to fly would be able to sustain them both to the desert. Mrost had been storing up whatever belief he could for that end.
However, he did not head upwards yet, just looked down at Hakan. "Good to go?" he smirked. Kimaria Hakan could feel a strange excitement stirring in the pit of his stomach. Finally he would get away from this wretched place and all of the pathetic lions that lived in it. He still could not understand why his mother had chosen to settle here when there had to have been better places in the world.
With a deep breath he clenched his teeth as he prepared himself mentally for leaving the ground and at Mrost's last question he raised his eyes up to meet those of the Gods and gave a firm nod of his head.
"Always ready." He couldn't help but show a bit of a grin, wondering what he would look like with red fur. He'd look even more like his mother if his pelt was fiery instead of black.
"And don't worry, I'll do my best to make sure I do a good job. There's no way I'd ever want to let you down." And his words were sincere. Baneful Mrost nodded at Hakan's words and withoutfurther delay, started flapping his wings in earnest, heading ever upwards into the blue african sky, as casual as only a lion who flew regularly could be. He didn't talk as he went, concentrating on just riding the thermals and such, just getting enough altitude that the journey to the moto' deserts would be basically all gliding.
It didn't take too long for quite a lot of the land to be sprawled out below them, from pride rock in the hazy distance, to the graveyard and beyond. Curving round, Mrost aimed towards the desert and simply spread his wings, taking an easy glide towards the sands where thermals were easy to find. He smirked as he went.
"It's very very warm in the desert at midday I think you'll find. Perhaps better if we stop off at an oasis in the sands till the worst of it passes, I don't want your dark pelt getting you heatstroke before we even start and it would give you a chance to adapt." Some lions would have construed Mrost's words as concern, but in reality they were born of sheer logic, not any overwhelming desire to help others. Kimaria Hakan spent his time scanning the land beneath him as it stretched out endlessly for as far as the eye could see. It was so strange to see other animals lurking on the land below and so very strange to not have anything supporting him under his feet.
And as the Pridelands was left behind him he felt a sudden rush of freedom, as if being tugged free from the pacifist ways of the lions there had released his true self.
They were heading to a place where no one knew him, where there was no one he needed to protect. He was heading to a place where he could be himself and use his skills to help both himself and his Master.
Mrost's words tugged him from his reverie and he tilted his ears so that he could hear him easier.
"I agree. My pelt absorbs heat at an incredible rate. If I get weakened by illness things might go wrong. Is there an oasis close to the lands or does it mean a de-tour?" He spoke louder than normal so that he could be heard above the whistling of the wind. Baneful Mrost shook his head and spoke again, rather loudly for the same reason Hakan had "Oasis are found all over the desert, they are pretty random in their location, there are a few within ten or twenty minute flight ranges of the lands."
And with that he returned his attention to the flight at hand, finding keeping aloft in general harder than usual but not too difficult. He flew on in silence for a rather uneventful while- uneventful if the landscape rolling below was of no interest.
It wasn't long before the desert came into veiw, a blindingly light strip of white-yellow on the horizon, harsh and relentless. Mrost, on spotting it began a lazy descent, drawing closer to the searing sands until they whizzed below close enough that the two lion's shadows seemed to fly along underneath them.
Mrost preferred to be in flight over the desert, at least this way there was some manner of breeze and it saved one from toasting. Still, even he could feel the sunlight across his mane like fire and he frowned, cursing his dark pelt on a day like this.
"Almost there." he stated, once again curving off of his original course of flight towards the oasis he had mentioned earlier. It was a green dot on the horizon which seemed to grow in size as they drew nearer. As it came into full veiw it became apparent it was a stony pool clustered around by several almost jungle-like trees and shrubs. It would make excellent shelter for the time being.
Glad that the flight was over for now, Mrost hovered down towards the sand, placing Hakan down before alighting himself.
"Here we are." he smirked, heading over into the cluster of brightly coloured flowering shrubs and through to the pool, a pristine gem of life in the desert. He actually didn't half mind a lie down when he got there, most of him still feeling numb from the flight. Kimaria The desert was amazing, so hot, so golden and so beautiful! It was very much different to what he was accustomed to and despite the fact that it was all rather bland he could not help but find wonder in setting eyes upon it.
Yet the sight of the Oasis was even more beautiful and as they lowered in the sky to touch down he could hardly believe that such a wonderful place could survive in such hot a climate. Yet as he drew away from the God to stare at his reflection one could clearly see the awe written in his expression.
"You fly fast Master and know the world so well." He paused to gaze around at the plants, eyes sparkling. "I can hardly believe that such a place can exist. Though I suppose if it didn't then lions like these Firekin would die of thirst." Keeping to the shade he took the time to lap up some water before reclining slowly, suddenly not in any rush to get going.
"Everything feels different here, the heat, the ground, the air." For even though he lay in the shade the ground held within it a strange heat that did not allow his body to cool down. "I wonder how lions put up with this kind of temperature. Do they just get used to it after a while?" Baneful Mrost was already casually reclining in the dappled sunlight alongside the fresh water when Hakan spoke, looking to all the world less like a god and more like a lazy lion in the afternoon. He shook his head "I only know the world in terms of how many wars were fought and where. It's all strategic to me. Most of the other gods could outfly me with ease but not many could outfight me." he smirked. "But yes, these oasis are some of the only things that make this inhospitable land inhabitable to your kind. They are the route whereby you would enter the desert and would be your only way out. These sands are a prison and those who forget the location of an oasis or find one has dried up, die along the way."
Mrost rested his helmeted head on a paw and added. "You'd be amazed at what a creature can adapt to, provided it was born into it." he didn't mention how most lions would have resisted with all their heart and soul the morals he set out to live by but Hakan had embraced them. Perhaps another kind of a adaptability?
"The desert forges the Firekin into survivors in the same way the Pridelands often cultivate a lazier breed."
He yawned broadly, revealing his dangerous fangs before replacing his head on top of his paws. "But yes, even the Firekin know better than to move around in the midday sun. It is at late afternoon and dusk that the desert truly comes alive. And at night, well..at night the desert is as ice." Kimaria Hakan listened without saying a word, finding that each time he was with the God he learned many new things. Today he was learning about deserts and survival and he was sure it was something he'd do well to remember in case he ever needed to come back here alone.
"I doubt there is anyone alive who could outfight you Mrost. You are the God of War, it is your speciality." Hakan extended his forepaws and yawned, blinking his eyes as he found himself growing drowsy in the heat. "I am glad that it was you I met and not some other God, I expect there are others out there who have weak tendencies too, right?" Something like the God of Flowers, maybe? He almost laughed out loud but decided against it.
"Perhaps the harsh climate is what makes the Firekin strong. They truly have to work to get water and food, whilst in the pridelands prey falls into your lap."
He wondered why the desert got so cold at night but decided not to ask. Why wasn't important, as long as he knew that it did this was enough information.
"When we get to the lands, what should I do? Should I seek out others similar to my age? As you said before, these lions like to enslave outsiders, but I expect that would be something done mainly by adults, correct?" Baneful Mrost laughed "I hope that's true. There are quite a few gods who would like to prove otherwise." the cuts and bruises on his rump still occaisionally gave him gyp but it was worth it to have riled his brother so. "But yes, there are some exceedingly frivolous gods out there. Peace loving hippies who wouldn't fight if their life depended on it." he snorted "They need a bit of dicipline if you ask me. If you ended up with one of them, you'd end up pink or something." he shook his head in exasperation. "The world. Is full of idiots."
Turning his attention to the firekin again, he nodded. "Yes, seek out the cubs and those close to you in years, regardless of how stuck up said cubs might be they cannot capture you. It is the adults to be wary of. But if worst comes to the worst and adults do find you, act as if you belong, cite loyalty to Finar-si, claim Firekin parentage and refer to yourself as Kaa. It means charcoal, and maintains the relation to fire innate to the pride."
He smirked "When we are ready to go, I will bestow your temporary red pelt upon you." Kimaria "I can imagine." Hakan replied, for if there were stupid lions there had to be stupid Gods, it only made sense. It was good fortune that had brought him into the presence of - in his opinion - the most wisest of all Gods.
"Pink would not be a good colour for a warrior." Hakan wrinkled his nose, laughing as he pictured it.
He listened to the rest of the God's instructions and stood almost instantly, nodding. "Kaa. Right, got it. I'm sure everything will run smoothly, especially if I can keep up the act." He turned his gaze up to the sky and nodded.
"Very well, I look forward to this challenge." He moved to the water's edge again and took another drink.
And as time ebbed on the midday sun swept down into afternoon and with it dropped the temperature, leaving Hakan feeling much more comfortable than he had been.
The time was close, very close.
He raised his head up from his paws, and blinked the sleep from his eyes, glad that the nap he'd relished in had made him feel somewhat refreshed.
"Is it time?" He asked of Mrost, his tone eager. Baneful Mrost had faith that Hakan would be capable of pulling off the infiltration rather well, gaining not only allies but experience in doing so. Even if he came back empty-pawed, he would still have valuable knowledge about terrain that was not his native.
The god basically just dozed out the afternoon in the shadow of the oasis, occaisionally mentally checking that it wasn't too late yet.
After a while the sun sunk lower in the sky and the heat lessened in it's intensity, the desert cooling underfoot. It was time to head out. He got to his feet and stretched casually. "There. The desert awaits. Time for your disguise."
Closing his eyes, Mrost put a paw to his forehead, then tapped Hakan's once, transferring the illusion over to the dark pelted juvenile. "Red as new spilled blood." By sacrificing the majority of his own powers Mrost concealed Hakan's darkness under a truly Firekin pelt, blood red backed against markings of black and white. He was somewhat amused to see that he couldn't shake all of his influence and most of the black markings were gauntlet-like about Hakan's feet with a darker mask around his face like his helmet. Still it would suffice, he was far from a master of illusion.
Feeling drained already by the effort and aware that it would last only around an hour to two hours, he headed out into the sands trusting Hakan-now-Kaa would follow. "Come on, the Firekin lands are only a ten minute walk in this direction, keep up." Kimaria His body tingled but it did not hurt and as he opened his eyes he wondered just how different he looked. He moved over to gaze at himself in the water and was surprised at how different he looked.
Staring back at him was the face of a stranger!
And when he looked up again he was aware that Mrost was on his way, wars perking up just in time to hear his last words. Then finding the energy within him he bounded over to trot at his master's flank, excited, nervous and eager to prove his worth.
Finally he'd get to meet some true lions. Lions that didn't cower or whimper. He said nothing and instead focused on the matter at paw, head and tail high as he made his way towards the Firekin lands.
An adventure awaited and even though it would be short it would enable him to learn many new things.
This was just the beginning.

Meeting The flirtKimaria The sun was high in the sky, teetering on the highest peak as it waited out midday with as much patience as the turning of the tide.
It was in the shade of a gnarled old tree - which had been a long time dead - that the young Prince lay. He was not sleeping, but he was dozy, lying on his tummy with his strange eyes half-lidded.
He had returned from his meeting with the adult rogue and now found himself contemplating on it. Would his father be annoyed if he found out? He shook the small tuft of black mane from his eyes and let his tail thud gently against the firmly-packed sand. What father didn't know wouldn't hurt him...and yet a feelign of guilt stirred within him. One day he would be King and he would not be allowed to let inferiors tread upon this land. Not ever.
His life was going to be difficult. Very difficult indeed.
With a soft sigh he lowered his head upon his paws and let his eyelids fall slowly over strange seer-eyes, trying to fall into a light sleep to pass the hottest time of the day.chemicalstar It had been a while since Trina wandered aimlessly around the Firekin Lands, or where the juvenile lion he met, Ra, claimed to be anyways. He also had made some very clear warnings about the nature of the Firekin which prevented Trina from entering its borders for some reason. Trina herself was surprised with this too, for she was rarely afraid. She was more of a action sort of cub than thought, and ignoring thought at all expenses the chcolate and honey colored cub rarely found enough time to be afraid.
Trina looked over the endless desert with her red-brown eyes.. were her parents and siblings worried by now? Would they come looking for her? She certainly hoped not, for she had yet not found an answer to her question... a question about the nature of the Firekin males. She was not the type to accept defeat so easily.
The truth behind Trina's flirty nature was a sheer panic and prejudice against love... she was yet to discover it but falling in love was her biggest fear, she would even preffer death to it. She had seen what it did to her mother and she certainly did not wish the same upon herself. So she steered away from love as far away as possible and built a facade of sheer seductiveness for her that even she herself came to believe in.
Her thoughts and soul was brought back to reality when her small eyes met the sight of a deformed dead tree trunk a few feet ahead of her. There was a brignt colored... what was that next to the tree? The form looked like a lion, yet she was positive that a red lion was not possible.. or was it? Ra had red color on his pelt too... The lioness, driven by her curiosity walked towards the figure slowly. Kimaria The sound of paws against sand alerted the male to the fact that he was no longer alone and with a small grunt he raised his head and scanned the area.
The approaching female could not be missed. Her aura burned into his retinas with a surprising strength for a cub. Yet as he scented the air he realised he did not know the one who approached.
He was on his feet in the next moment, turning his body slwoly and elegantly, head held high, tail hovering above the ground. His eyes focused solely on her, seeing through her aura to the colour of her pelt.
Brown. Dark brown.
A rogue. chemicalstar Trina realized, as she approached, that this stranger was indeed a lion... younger than Ra and about the same age as her. A male. She smiled to herself and walked up to him with energetic steps. There was something about his gaze that made Trina feel as if he was reading through her soul like a book and made her feel naked. She tried to shrug that feeling off as she realized if he could read into her soul, he would also feel how uncomfortable she felt with that... and that would give him the upper hand. Trina's first rule about males was never to give them the upper hand. You never knew how they were going to play it.
"Hello stranger" she purred, with a voice that resembled sining rather than speaking. "I am glad to finally see there were actually living soulds upon this dried piece of a land!" She swished her tail behing him contently as her eyes gazed upon those of the other cub. He resembled Ra for they had similar built, yet there was something about this male and his bright red color that somehow made Trina forget about her previous meeting with the black cub. She quietly say in front of the male and waited for him to introduce himself, for that was what guys should do before females. Kimaria His body twitched at her words and the tone in which she spoke them, finding himself feeling unsure about her personality. The aura which surroudned her pulsated and shimmered within making her seem larger than what she was. It took a great amount of effort and control on his part to close down his seer-eyes to stare at her alone.
She looked strange without the light sheathing her body, slender, weak but still confident.
"Indeed." He replied, watching as she sat down and finding himself not quite sure what she was waiting for.
"You shouldn't be here, inferior. Your paws taint this blessed land." He did not say the words in a horrid manner, in fact they sounded calm, emotionless as one would state a fact.
"Turn now and leave this place for I fear the worst will happen to you if you dwindle here and are caught by an adult. Mightier lions than you have passed through these lands and have been broken by Firekin claws." chemicalstar Trina smiled. She got used to the way of the Firekin after meeting Ra "I do not see how I can taint this land which already seems dead" she replied in a neutral tone and lingered her gaze on the male's face "So you are a Firekin after all" She bowed a little as to greet him "I haven't met so many others of your kind but are easy to distinguish, if not by your looks then by your manners" The chocolate colored cub smiled charmingly "You don't know how to treat a lady"
She realized maybe she was too daring in her talk to the memebr of such a hot-blooded pride, yet modesty was not in her blood. If there was someone who should be modest, it was him, for she was blessing him with her company and saving him from possible boredom for the day.
"Oh I am by all means not a mighty lioness as you can see" she replied, showing her frail and small body off "So even you can enslave me if you wish..." she continued ".. but the thing is.. would you want to break my soul really? And what for?" She slowly got up and circled around the stranger in a rather seductive manner, her eyes not leaving his "I don't think you are a weakling that would want to hide his own faults by breaking down others" When she came to her starting position she nodded, confidence beaming through her eyes "I am Trina by the way" she smiled. Kimaria Unlike most Firekin Kidondo simply listened to her. He did not speak, nor try to butt in, he did not growl or snarl or raise his hackles. He was the calm, the wise and the noble. Yet as she spoke and began to circle him he wondered why she was even here.
"If this place is so dead then how do my pride and I survive? This land is living, my eyes tell me so." His words were toneless, "your soul is bright, very bright. I think it would be hard to break." This again was a fact and as he stood, watching her move around him he felt a tingle run along his spine.
Inferiors were strange creatures indeed, he wasn't sure whether he'd ever truly understand them. "Even still, the elder lions here would be willing to try. I however am not one of those lions, I have no need for a slave...yet."
He flicked his tail. "Forgive my rudeness. I am Kidondo, son of Kimeti and heir to the throne." chemicalstar Trina did not expect such an intelligent comment from a male and was seriously surprised.. she quickly regained her composure though Kidondo's first words left quite a bit of an impression on her.
Rule Two. Never let him realize he had effected you in any way.
"If you saw my homeland... It is pretty.. Though again prettiness is not enough to contain me in there..." She looked around "I do not belong here so I cannot judge this land fairly.. Yet I can say is no living soul could bless or taint a land" she smiled "Not even you with your brightness" She was sincere and honest while saying this. It was not meant to be a compliement though he was free to regard it as such.
"Then beautiful pelted Kidondo, I hope the day that you need slaves never comes" the brown cub giggled "and lions serve you willingly instead of with force." Trina believed in earning someone's respect and admiration by her manners, and she thought nodoby could be forced to do so. How sad if Firekin all thought in the same way.
The Pridelanders were wimps who were not scared to show it, yet Trina was slowly realizing Firekin was no different... only they were trying to hide what they truly were by violence. She wodnered how long this would keep up.
"I am honored Kidondo, though all I can offer you is my humble self" she winked "and no sparkly titles as such..." She looked around "Do all Firekin live here and never leave?" For that would be such a pity if the Firekin entrapped themselves in such borders. Kimaria He nodded slowly and let his eyes fall upon her dark chocolate frame. She was a strange looking cub but definately not in a bad way. She was less muscular, small in the chest, slim in the legs. She had not the build of a warrior and yet she still maintained a look of elegance.
His strange eyes widened, the golden surfaces digging inside of her once more. The light of her aura pulsed and glowed, lighting up her smiles with a brilliant glare.
"I am not a lion to force beliefs upon others, though that does not mean I will set slaves free. The fact is that we are superior, and if rogues tread upon our lands they face the danger of being captured or slain.
His facial expression showed somethign that might have been surprise at her wink and after a moment of silence he wriggled uncomfortably and cleared his throat. "Tell me, why do you tread here when you know what sort of fate would await you if caught? Why do rogues dare set paw on this land? Are the rumours of the Firekin ebbing?" chemicalstar Trina looked upon Kidondo "Your gaze... You are different than other males are you not?" she asked gently. Trina knew how a male viewed her, or most of them anyways, and it was either with pure goofiness and innocence, or with a glow of lust which she enjoyed now and then. Yet this lion did neither. His gaze was deep and somehow he managed to feel her armor was not stong enough and somehow his intelligence found a way to leak through. She had never felt more uncomfortable and challenged in her life. Had she been a lioness who was afraid of challenges would she run, yet she liked the fact that 'Ondo was not so quick to fall into many of her attepmts of manipulation though she was sure he would, too, if she tried harder.
"I am not a rogue" Trina answered "and neither are you superior" she smiled "None of us are.. We are good in certains things... Take your pride for example.. I heard you are superior in fighting, and my pride, the Pridelanders... We are superior in our bonds with nature and being it to our own will..." She nodded "But if you insist you are superior... " Her smile turned into a cunning half smirk, in a rather seductive manner "you gotta prove that to me handsome..." She took another step towards him to prove she was not afraid and to let him feel her nearer.
"I am here because I want to see if Firekin are as brave as they were told to be... Pridelanders are such wimps I was bored of them. I wanted to meet real men... " she smiled "and let myself be known" she added "For I have wondered long and i have wandered for just to meet your pride Kidondo... " She continued after a fresh pause "Maybe the rumours is what draws other ehre? Because they are curious like me?" she asked "I would respect if you wanted to be not disturbed, but somethign tells me your kind enjoys capturing others.. and if it werenot for us intruders.. how would you be aware of the outside world? For I would expect if you are so protective about your lands.. you would expect others to be so too and do not enter other boundaries. Respect breeds respect" She nodded and settled comfortable quite near to 'Ondo. Kimaria "Different?" A very slight frown wrinkled his brow and for a moment he seemed hesitant to say more. Then gently his expression smoothed and he continued. "I suppose you could say that." He sniffed lightly, gaze fixed firmly upon her. "When I look at someone I don't just see their outer surface, I can see beyond it. I can see into their very souls." His eyes shimmered very briefly as if lit up by a wave of magic, then once again they dulled.
"Superior..." He murmured. "We could beat any lions if war struck our lands. We would be victorious." He took a step forwards to, indicating that he was up to her challenge. "I shall prove it to you Trina of Inferiors." He spoke, still not realising that the word could be hurtful. To him inferior was a status just as Prince was, there seemed nothing that could be shameful about it.
"Why is it males you are interested in? Our females are strong too, some stronger than our males. They are huntresses beyond compare! You are right when you say we enjoy capturing slaves, for they are reminders of the fact that we are strong and glorius." chemicalstar Trina was not surprised, his words only proved what she felt inside to be true "It should be such a burden" she said in a symphatic tone "I can hardly stand staring at the surface most of the time.. and yet you always stare deeper..." Her red-brown eyes were full of compassion, yet she was quick to get rid of that. She just met 'Ondo and she could not let him see through her this clearly. Yet, for a brief moment she thought she could see through the facade of the Firekin his true self when he talked about being able to see through souls.
Trina shook her head "No, no.. That does not mean superior... that means you are muscular, or I don't know.. blood-thirsty... Because the world outside your borders.. War is not wanted there. Peace is much more comforting than war, if you get to taste it once" She flickered her eyelashes "I can show it to you sometimes if you wish.. Peace of soul, peace of mind, peace of heart... That is how my mother described happiness... Does war make you happy Kidondo?" She asked. "And please do call me Trina, it is not a very gentleman-like thing to call a lady inferior. " She turned around playfully "Do I really look that different that you have set your mind to distinguish between us two?"
"I am interested in males because I am a female..." she replied as if it was something very natural in her age "Females do not concern me nor their glory unless it is mine" she smiled "You need something to remind you you are strong? Oh that sounds rather.. forced" Trina giggled "I can remind you you are glorius and that would feel better" She flirtyly brushed her cheek against his as she was walking by and then circled and returned back "Doesn't it feel better?" Kimaria "A curse and a blessing entwined." He shrugged. "It has its use." He sniffed again, his dull gaze flickering down to the sand at the female's feet. What was she getting at? Kidondo already knew that physical power could never match the strength of the mind but he also knew that brute force had it's advantages.
"You want to know why the Firekin are superior?" He finally spoke, "because within our veins flows the blood of a Goddess. We are no mere mortal lions, we were born through the presence of an immortal being." He moved to sit back on his rump, brushing his tail against the sand. Did she wish to challenge his intellect? His strength? He wasn't quite sure and yet the voice in the back of his mind kept nagging. He should not be talking with her.
"I have no wish to battle if there is no cause. I shall not seek war but if it comes to me than I will not stand by and watch it. Being a warrior is in my blood, I will fight so do not get me wrong. Just because I think does not mean I am weak. I am--" His voice cut off as she brushed against him, static crackling through his fur as each tiny hair brushed against him. He gave a strangled sound and hopped sideways, hoping desperately that her scent had not rubbed off on him. If it had then father would notice!
"What did you do that for?" His tone wavered slightly from it's usually emotionless line. chemicalstar Trina thought. A Goddess? She sure heard of that somewhere... Ah yes.. Her mother Kizuka had told her about one God just a few days ago.. One that one of Kizuka's friends had sword alligence to. Her mother defied gods, so Trina did not see why she could not too. "And why does that part of your blood make you superior? Gods are better than mortals because mortals choose to believe so" she nodded "You are different, but you gotta understand that does not equal superior"
She giggled as she watched him jump away "I did that because I like you" she said, her eyelashed fluttering "I believe if you did not like me you would not bere here now, would you? With an inferior like me?" Trina giggled "Admit, I am fun to be with" she winked "Like you are!"
She then sensed the talk was getting too serious so she made a sudden u-turn and started talk in a sweet tone, looking into 'Ondo's eyes "Then I am lucky to have met you for I would hope you would protect me if something horrible like war happens!" Kimaria "Gods are immortal, they have powers beyond anything you could ever imagine. Finar-si's pelt glows like living flame, her roar is like thunder, her eyes glitter like the most beuaitufl gems and she can hunt the skies with as much skill as hunting on land. She is deathly beautiful, strong and wise - or so they say."
His voice rang clear with admiration for the Goddess they followed and it was obvious it would take a lot to shift his views. It was almost natural for him to love the immortal who he had never set eyes on.
"I never said I disliked you, I cannot blame you for being inferior Trina. You are not to blame for your parentage, I simply state that those who live outside of the desert hold no interest for me." This was a lie but he didn't rightly care at that point in time.
His gut clenched as she turned and for a moment he was unsure of what to expect. Thankful that she made no mroe moves to touch him he released a held breath and returned to hsi normal calm composure. "No." His strange eyes glimmered, "I would not protect one of rogue blood. My loyalties are to the members of my Pride and none other. If war comes you had better go and hide." chemicalstar "Immortal life would be boring.. If you had no end, or no beginning, what would you life for anyways? No purpose, all the time in the world.." The chocoate cub shook her head "I would not think being a God would be fun at all!" Her mother's strict believes had rubbed off the cub, most clearly. "Seriously, you gotta get out of here! See the other lands, other lions and decide after that! You are too good to be elft ignorant like this!" Trina suddenly realized, she had seen so little to decide what ignorance was.. but she wished better for 'Ondo. With his powers, he had the potential of becomeing soemthing big, something great.. Even someone who Trina could grow some sort of respect to, yet there he was, acting just like Ra which made her question the uniqueness of the pride members really.
"How can you be the king when time comes if all you have seen are these lands? You insist on calling me a rogue when I am not because you don't know better... I would not blame you for that" She smiled "But really.. you gotta sort out your priorities so that you are slightly different than the rest of... your pride?"
She smiled "Pity. You would be missing much fun without me" After that she smiled chamringly again, this cub entertained her with his narrow mindedness... or maybe she was far too liberal... Kimaria "I am far from immortal." Kidondo replied, "I will grow old and I will die, I will hurt when I bleed and feel love to those around me I care about. Yet my seeing eyes give me insight into things that others could never understand. I look at you now Trina and I see into your soul. I see its colours, its shape, its rhythm. You hide pains beneath a sheath to disguise the hurt from all watching eyes." He took a step towards her, moving lightly upon the sand.
"I don't just see you Trina. I see you." He stared unblinking for a long moment, body held rigid as he withdrew from her once more, turning his gaze to direct it across the sand.
"We Firekin appear the same on the outside but I assure you within each and everyone of us beats the sound of different hearts. It is our beliefs and our traditions that make us seem alike, and yet that is not true."
"Fun...fun is not in my job description. A King is not expected to have fun, he is to rule wisely and with power. He is to lead." The words tasted bitter on his tongue. chemicalstar Trina did not speak but listened.. 'Onda could see her? See her shallowness of aims? Her rules? Her interior motives? Her manipulating tecniques? Surely he could not see them all... could he? She shivered. Being that transparent was not fun. She tried to tease what he said "And do you like what you see in me?"
She was quite shocked by his sudden withdrawal as she was with his coming closer though she would preffer him being closer than far away. So she took a step towards him to get closer "Now now honey you don't need to treat me as vermin.. I come from a mighty family as yours though from a different pride." Trina nodded "If you met my people you would not act like this.. They can be total wimps but they are noble too. They have good hearts" She took another step closer "That is what you have and wish didn't isn't it? A good heart?" The chocolate cub laughed and jumped aside, and without notice she pounced on 'Onda's tail "Oh c'mon! Everybody needs fun now and then!" She tugged the tail and ran back, giggling "Tag, you're it!" She had her doubts about Kidonda knowing this game so explained while running "You gotta catch me and tag me to win!" Kimaria He could not see all of those things, no, and yet perhaps with age he would. Only time would tell the extent of his seer powers gifted to him by his mother.
At her question he blinked slowly and sucked in a small breath. "You should not hide from your emotion. You should embrace it." Though the same could be said for him. He had never laughed, never truly smiled, bever played any games. He seemed to find expressing happiness more difficult than anything else.
"My heart is pure." He replied through a frown. "It beats within me and I acknowledge it."
He leapt forwards as she pounced onto his tail, yankign it from her grasp before moving to lick at the offended part. This situation was becoming less and less fun.
"I do not play games." He stated, puffing out his chest and strengthening his pose. He did not want to play! So then...why did he want to follow her? Why did he want to chase her, chase her away from the desert and to far away lands? He clenched his eyes shut, gritted his teeth and murmured quietly to himself. chemicalstar Trina stopped abrubtly in her running "Oh my mistake" she hastily added " I always thought lions our age liked the fin... Not you though" She nodded, more serious this time, for she was the kind who would get upset when she did not get what she wanted. She was a spoiled little brat in that aspect.
"Well I am glad for your company but I believe I need some lightening up, you are far too pessimistic!" she winked. The truth was she was tired and needed some place to rest and wanted to do so away from the Firekin land so she knew she would be safe.
"Fare well my friend, Kidondo and I hope your wiseness will let you realize this world is a whole lot larger than your Firekin Lands" She smiled "I hope to see you again but then it is up to you since you may not be want to seen with an inferior like me" She giggled and turned away.

A Chat with Miremba
(completed over AIM)
A Final Crucible: It had become midday when Miremba woke with a start, her stomach groaning for the meal she had missed the nigth before. Standing slowly, she stretched her lean muscles and glanced to the three others who were with her. Ouro and Bini seemed content being by eachother, but Kale appeared to have dirifted closer to the females during the slumber. Rolling her eyes with slight irritation at the male, she shook her head a second before padding away. Hopefully, she mused, he wouldn't get any fresh ideas while she was gone. It appeared he was content with females, and that wans't the best thing, though he proved to be innocent as of yet.
Padding down a few hills and through the heat of the day, she avoided the scents of other creautres, and worked off the hunger pains while hoping to run into a meal. Her white form was blinding in the sunlight, though her blue spots helped sooth it a bit. While she moved, many creatures perked from their herds, but she instead moved closer to a watering hole, thirst overcoming her hunger for the time being.
Kimaria33: Uzushi - the fun-loving juvenile - had taken a break from his rainbow search and instead sought out the frogs that lived in and around the waterhole. This was what he was doing when the other wild dog arrived.
"I thought you said there were frogs here Kal." He spoke despite the fact that he seemed to be quite alone, "I don't see anything." His tail ceased to wag as he peered into the shallow section of the waterhole, eyes narrowing as he tried to focus on something beneath it's depths. "Oh, you're right! There it is!" Then with a whoop of joy the little dog leapt forwards intot he water, making a tremendous splash as he did so. "Froggy!" Uzushi called, "don't run away, I just wanted to play~" He sounded quite upset that the frog had abandoned him.
A Final Crucible: Looking around a bit bewildered, Miremba saw no others save for the god who had just jumped into the water. Stepping back as the liquid sloshed onto the land, she blinked a moment as the smaller dog yelled out for the frogs. Seeing none from the splash, the adult determined that they had all jumped into a safe area away from the juve in front of her.
"I think the splash sent them to the other side of the waters," She said softly, trying not to scare him as she moved closer to the liquid. Bowing her head, she lapped up some soothing water, and despite the dirt and such, it went down and helped ease the hunger pains from before. As she finished her drinking, her eyes slowly glanced to where Uzushi still sat, watching him with their icy depths.
Kimaria33: Uuzshi looked more curious than startled, raising his head and bringing his ears forward to focus upon the newcomer. Wild dogs never hurt one another so there was nothing to fear. He had yet to meet anyone who had tried to harm him despite the warnings his parents had given. "Silly frogs! I wasn't going to hurt them, just pounce them." He beamed up at the other, splashing towards her. The water was just high enuogh so that it brushed against his underbelly, and his paws swept up great cascades of droplets as he moved. "Obviously they don't appreciate good games!" He nodded sharply and came to a stand sill in front of this elder dog. "do yous have a name? I'm Uzushi'bueta but you can call me anything yah like really. Oh and this is...this is." He suddenly clamped hisi jaws shut, remembering that no one could see or hear Kalpana but himself. A shame really.
A Final Crucible: She watched him with a small smile as he seemed to jump around everywhere, his spirit wild and pure just like any Wild Dog's should be. Tail waving lightly, she noted him come closer, but did nothing to move away or force him back. There was no need with a carefree creature like him, though it made her wonder just how many strangers he trusted so willingly. Thought put aside with his questioning, she just moved her smile to a grin.
"My name is Miremba...and let me guess, your friend there is Kal, right?" She decided to humor him, just like she used to do with her own pups, and just went along with it despite the fact she could not see nor hear Kal like he could. Odds are, it was a friend of his who was from his own imagination, someone to keep him safe and loved while others were away. Though hopefully as an adult it wouldn't still be with him and keep him away from others, there was no harm in a pup taking advantage of the imagination they still held.
Kimaria33: "Nice to meet'cha lady Miremba!" He squeaked, bouncing lightly on his paws as he continued to plod out of the water and shake himself, trying his best not to get the female wet. "Y-you mean you can see her? You can see Kalpana?" His head had whirled to face her, eyes widening in awe as he waited for her reply. It would be so amazing if someone else knew his best friend too.
"Everyone says she isn't real, but I know she is. I know! She tells me things when I sleep and when I'm awake. She's really very helpful."
A Final Crucible: She lowered her head to be at his level, the smile still crossing her maw, though sadly she knew she couldn't lie to him. Thinking up a good answer, she raised her head once more with a nod, and settled down onto her haunches.
"I can't see her, for that is just a skill you have, Usushi, but I can feel her presence. It is as if she is standing right next to us, listening and joining our conversation like any other Wild Dog. Tell me, Usushi, what does she look like." As if to prove how interested she was, she closed her eyes tightly in an effort to picture the dog that was in Usushi's mind, maw grinning while her tail wagged lightly.
Kimaria33: Uzushi gave a pleased yip, obviously more than content with her answer. For sense was much more important than sight any day, he had learnt this himself as a pupling. He watched as the other closed her eyes and found himself doing the same. "Kalpana is mostly white with a dapple of patches that look like colourful clouds on an empty sky. But the best thing about her is the rainbow that goes from the tip of her nose to her rump. It's so pretty!" He nodded and opened his eyes.
A Final Crucible: "Rainbows you say?" She asked lightly, brow raising, "Why, that is a very rare pelt...Kalpana you are fortunate to be such a beauty." Smiling to where Uzushi was, she just continued one, "Many say my blue pelt is rare, but it is only one color of the rainbow...to have all of the colors is something seen few and inbetween." Nodding at that, she looked up to the sky.
"I only wish the lands would be blessed with more rain these days, so that rainbows can been seen after the clouds are gone..." It was true, the lands were so dry that rainbows hardly were around, yet when they did show, they were long and wide, and spanned from one edge of the sky to the other. It was a sight Miremba would never forget, the one and only time she saw a rainbow.
Kimaria33: Uzushi agreed, "you have very pretty furs, Kalpana says so too. She gets embarrassed when others compliment her." He laughed and tipped back his head to gaze at the sky, remembering the first time he had seen one of those rainbows. One day he was going to reach the end of one, one day! Little did he know Kalpana was a manifest of his seer powers. For now she was just an imaginary friend who aided him when he needed it and kept him company when he was alone. With Kalpana he never felt lonely. Never.
"I want to see another rainbow too, as soon as one appears I'm goign to chase after it!"
A Final Crucible: Miremba just blinked as he said he was going to find a rainbow, but than got an idea, "You know, I am sure something waits at the end of the rainbow...many say it is treasure, but I think it is something else..." She nodded at that, "But I wouldn't know, for I don't have time to follow the rainbow anymore, not with my pack to take care of." With a light sigh, she looked up to the sky before her soft eyes followed the pups form.
"If you ever do find the end of the rainbow, maybe we could meet again and you can tell me all about it?" Waiting to see his answer, she moved to stand lightly, sitting becoming a bit too much as it left only her stomach to grumble from the lack of meat.
Kimaria33: Uzushi laughed, the sound happy and content. It seemed everyone who heard about his quest wanted to hear of it's outcome. With so many others waiting for the answer he knew he couldn't let them down. He would find the end even if it took a lifetime. "Of course, I'd love to meet you again and tell you everything. That'll be fun!"
A Final Crucible: "Well, let me tell you where I shall be," She started, deciding to tell him of her lands, "My friends and I are traveling home to our packlands in the south, where the grasses stop and trees build up around our borders. At night, our cries rise up like ghost, and the forests are a lit with many glowing flies that look like dancing stars. Where all the stars meet, from both the ground and the sky, lies a small clearing in the woods, that is where I will be whenever you wish to find me." She felt really warm explaining her world like that, like some adventure waiting to be completed. Tail wagging, she got a new hope, and decided to quickly add on, "If you, Kalpana, or any of your friends wish to come visit, my home and my family will always welcome you with open hearts and minds."
Kimaria33: The pup's eyes widened as he listened to her description, finding himself suddenly craving to see that land. It sounded beautiful, mystical and wonderful, almost as if it would hold a million secrets that just waited to be revealed. "Sounds like a wonderful home! I'd love to see it someday."
A Final Crucible: Miremba nodded before looking up at the sun. A yawn escaped her maw as she shifted, and she knew soon she would need to return to her pack and fall asleep. Rigthfully, she was a night creature, and they only awoke in the day to eat their mid afternoon meal. Shifting again, she let out a sigh, and decided it was time for her to go, it was time for a hunt.
"Uzushi, it is time for me to take my leave, for I must get my meal before returning to my pack mates. It has been a pleasure meeting both you and Kalpana, and I do hope both of you can find your rainbow someday. From the sounds of it, you are already a good deal on the right track. Please don't give up." Smiling, she bowed lightly to him as a sign of goodbye.
Kimaria33: "Thankyou Miremba! Nice to meet you and I hope to see you again sometime. We both do!" He grinned and wagged his tail, backing off a little and bowing his head in turn, canting his head to listen to Kalpana.
"I like that one." Kal whispered happily.
A Final Crucible: With one last smile, Miremba turned, though she had no idea of the words Kal whispered to Uzushi. Instead, she padded lightly to the grasses, and jumped through to the lands. Once she would find her meal, she would return back to the group, and remember the little cub that searched for a rainbow. Hopefully, the next time she saw one, he would too, and would be well on his journey to complete his dreams.

Kimaria After leaving the vain lioness behind, the dark juvenile moved swiftly along the sand. Already he was beginning to learn to walk upon its surface with greater ease though his pads did feel rather burned. He paused to pant heavily, looking up at the sky above him and at the sun which was slowly sinking. There were still a good few hours before the sky went dark but atleast with the passing of time the land was becoming cooler.
Mrost had said that the desert grew icy cold at night, and whilst at first he was unsure about this he now knew that he'd welcome it.
He was too hot!
He shifted again, moving up the curve of a smaller dune, blue eyes scanning the area. His paw prints were left scuffed behind him, the path that would lead him back to the God. Baneful Mrost reclined on the searing hot sands not too far from where Hakan was, half in the shade of a large sand dune. He might have been a god but in this desolate place he was still pretty damn warm. It had gotten to the point where his armour was burning to the touch and he was making every effort not to let his helmet touch the sensitive skin on his nose. He kept pushing it back up his muzzle with a black claw, glowering every time it slipped.
As such he hadn't noticed Hakan's approach, too busy trying to keep cool, his tail flicking agressively. He was in much the same mind as Hakan, that night was welcome if only it'd remove this dratted heat. Kimaria Hakan returned with only one cub in mind who could have been of some use. A vain little creature who loved power. Though he was unsure whether she'd be manipulated easily due to her high and mighty tone that she spoke in.
The other female he'd met was...well he didn't want to even think about her. The stupid white rat.
The other Princeling he had met seemed not to sway either way. He was calm and refused to get angry. So for now he was unsure.
Sadly he'd forgotten to ask the name of the female but he was sure that with his description she'd be easily located. He hadn't seena female that looked like her before and doubted there would bes imilar lions in the Pride.
He came to a halt, raised his head and looked around. Wasn't this where he had left Mrost? He parted his jaws and gave a low 'whuff' sound, sniffing at the air. The place still contained the Gods scent and as he turned his eyes...oh yes, there he was.
"I return!" He called, trotting over to where the God was relaxing. Baneful
It was only as Hakan spoke that Mrost distracted himself from pushing his helmet up his nose, a god that was bothered by simple hot armour was not a formidable one. He let it slide, gritting his teeth momentarily when it hit the tender skin of his nose. He let it be though, trying his damndest to ignore it. Instead he gave the dark lion a nod and smirk.
"Ah, So, how did it go?" he was actually quite intruiged, he had never ventured near Finar-si's pride before, himself, not wanting to risk a clash with that kind of belief yet.
Damn, he could practically feel his nose sizzling.Kimaria Hakan huffed and wrinkled his nose, coming to sit just in front of the God. "They're a bunch of narrow minded fools, Finar-si this, Finar-si that." He bristled ina nnoyance. "What has she done that is so wonderful anyway? She doesn't even appear to them, what has she got to hide about?"
He scratched the ground beneath him. "I met a few of 'em, but only one showed promise. A little female cub. She has a very malicious mind that's for sure, strong too!" He paused and drew in a deep breath. "She wants to be Queen despite the fact that it is not her throne for the taking, she probably plans to kill her other siblings to get it. She wants power, she wants to lead."
He paused again, whiskers twitching. "I told her of the power that could be offerred to if she swore allegiance but she would not commit without seeing you first. I told her I wouldn't promise anything though." He nodded slowly, "she's a black lioness with strange crimson wing markings on her back, strange because I thought she'd have more red on her than that, especially for royalty." Kimaria He nodded, smiling in a way that was not very friendly. His small fangs glittered in his maw and for a moment his eyes darkened. To spread war across the world, it was something that set his heart pounding. He wanted to be there to watch as that little female slaughtered her siblings and forced the Pride to follow her, then maybe in turn they would grow to hate Finar-si and turn instead to his own Master. Mrost.
It all seemed very appealing.
"Very well Master Mrost." He nodded, "I think that if she can be taken as an ally she will prove useful indeed. She is not so stupid that she will turn down power. I believe she already waits with anticipation to see you." He smirked.
"I will take you to her whenever you wish. As for the others..." His eyes narrowed slightly. "There was a Princeling...an heir and the elder brother of the female, he seemed curious but not overly so. Perhaps a couple more visits from me shall turn his attention from that perfect Goddess of his."
He paused then and faltered on his words, unsure of what to say about the final cub he had spoken with. "There was another, but...she..." He closed his eyes and drew in a deep breath. "She was white, rude and loud mouthed. She said things...said things about me that got me agitated. She called me Uncle but that cannot be. She said my mother was once of the Firekin pride but that...that's ridiculous!"
Or was it...
Kinja did bear the fur that was common amongst the Firekin kind.
"She may be of use if her tongue was cut out, though I'm hesitant to pay the little wench a visit any time soon." Baneful Mrost nodded "You are doing well in gathering others to our cause, even just planting the seeds of an idea can often expand and grow in the hearts of those with ambition, give them time to dwell on it and they will either come to their senses or cling all the tighter to their petty beliefs. It is only those with doubt I desire, the others are too far held in thrall of the goddess. But indeed, visit this princeling again, give him a chance."
In response to Hakan's comment on the other female, Mrost simply raised a brow. "How well do you know your mother? And when I say mother I don't mean the lioness who raised you, I mean before that." he shrugged "The white female might be out to twist your resolve but perhaps she speaks the truth." he flicked his tail "Either way the accusation was far from negative, firekin blood adds nothing but credibilty and power to your genetics."
He smirked, amused by Hakan's obvious dislike for that female. "I wouldn't let it bother you, even she could not call herself the right hand of a god." Kimaria "I try my best Mrost." Hakan bowed his head solemnly before gazing up at the armour plated face of his Master. "I shall continue to try until I am positive that the Princeling has swayed either one way or the other. As long as he hangs between the two I shall continue to badger at him until he decides.
"I thought I knew my mother well...I thought I did. But the night she told me about death and how she was growing older she spoke of things I never expected. She spoke of a mate who lived in the skies, a mate she wished to join when she died. She also spoke of cubs, cubs that were not me or my siblings." He let his head droop sadly. "I pushed it from my mind because it was hard for me to understand, she had been living a different life before I had even been born."
"Perhaps I just don't like the thought that I could be related to such an annoying little runt." He laughed, "I suppose the only way to find out is to ask mother myself."
At Mrost's last words he puffed himself up with pride, eyes sparkling joyfully. Yes that was true! He worked for a God! He was better than that stupid little runt who spoke too much.
"So Master, what are our next moves from here?" Baneful Mrost grinned solemnly as Hakan spoke of his mother's past. "Sometimes the lions you think you know best reveal to you depths you had never really known were there." he too had learned that over time just like anyone else. "But yes, you should ask your mother when we return, before it is too late and she goes to join her love in the skies." he smirked wrly, not mocking his mother's beleif in a place where she could be reunited with those she had lost but at his own situation where when he lost lions that mattered he had no hope of meeting them again. Even death would only bring him back to this place, his prison.
He smirked. "I mean if I were to tell you that I'd lived at least twice before? Not that you know me properly yet. You will one day though when you take your place as my high priest, I will tell you all."
He tilted his head "As for what's next, that is up to you this time. Shall we visit other prides or shall we seek out a base, a place to home those we rally to the cause?" Kimaria "I think the same could be said for all of us, for even I have secrets from my family...though I'm afraid most of them involve you. I'm not sure how my mother would react if she found out I was working for a God." He laughed quietly, "I hate to keep things from her, but sometimes it is necesary."
He fell silent as he listened to the rest of what Mrost had to say, ears swivelling around to focus upon him. Twice before?! Did that mean he had died and begun to lvie again? Did that mean he would live for eternity? He struggled to understand such concepts but nodded slowly. He was extremely curious now, but he would wait for that day when Mrost deemed him worthy. "High Priest?" His voice was a hushed whisper, filled with awe at such a prospect. Such a title would be the most amazing thing that could ever happen!
At the last statement the young lion nodded and got to his paws, "a base...I hadn't thought of that. It only makes sense I suppose, especially if we find many lions willing to turn to you." Hakan pondered, "perhaps it would be wise to locate a suitable place first?"
"Oh, in fact I forgot to mention, whilst you were away on buisness in the graveyard I met another. An adolescent male. We talked briefly but he may also be encouraged to join us. He seemed strong but not all that intelligent." Baneful Mrost laughed aswell "I don't blame you, the last thing a mother needs to be burdened to worry about is her son going off to war." he waved a paw dismissively "Sometimes lies are neccisary to protect your cause."
He smirked at Hakan's surprise at the title "Yes, high priest. When you reach adolecence proper I will bestow you with that title. Both a blessing and a curse as all my blessings are. War never gives rewards without asking somethin in return and already you have been giving your all for the cause, it's about time you got something back."
"But yes, a base. I was thinking of housing the early enforced recruits at the mta ruins, Nyekundu would help me keep them downtrodden. The willing recruits could aid in preparing whereever we choose for habitation, get themselves the best dwellings and so on. But yes, first I will need to scout out some strategic terrain for our fortress."
He tilted his head with interest at what Hakan added "Indeed? The more able bodies, the better." Kimaria Yes, and Hakan would do anythign to protect his mother, from physical and mental pain. He wanted her to be happy and comfortable and he was sure that wouldn't happen if she knew what he was up to. Just knowing he was planning war and armies might just be enough to end her and he could never let that happen!
"Serving you has brought me more than I could imagine. Your training has aided me well and your talks have helped ease the confusion in my mind. You haev done more for me than you realise Master, though of course I would never decline such a title if you deem me worthy for it." He stood and bowed his head, taking a step back to glance up at the sky. The blue was deepening into evening but the sun was still warm enough to be a hindrance to his black pelt.
"Nyekundu?" Hakan questioned, "is he the one who rules at these ruins? And you're right, a land to house a future army would need to be well though out. It wouldn't be wise to rush such a thing, and if you trust this Nyekundu to keep control of those who will aid us then I trust him too."
"The rogue I speak of was seen at the Pridelands, perhaps when I return there I could try and seek him out once again." Baneful "You yourself have been endlessly useful, more than that pathetic hyena who summoned me and could not obey a simple order when given one." he frowned, recalling how even after being scarred all along one side the beast remained useless and frustratingly so. Encountering Hakan when he did had been very useful indeed. He cackled darkly and stated "If only my son had turned out like you."
He got to his feet and stretched decadently before seating himself. "Yes, Nyek is the king of the ruins, a harsh sadistic lion but an ambitious one, he is wise in the methods of breaking others and yet retains a respect for me. He will take care of any of the hard to break lions."
Ruffling his wings he nodded "Yes, find him and enlist him to our cause."
Kimaria He puffed up with pride at Mrost's words, taking the compliments right to his heart. He wanted nothing more than to please this strong male and the thought that he was suceeding at his job made him more happy than anyone could imagine.
He'd truly found something he was good at! He finally had a purpose!
Some might find it sad that he was so desperate to follow and be ruled by a God, but Mrost had won him over completely. To Hakan the blue lion was the father he had never had, a teacher and an idol. Mrost stood for everything that Hakan wanted to become!
"I am glad you think of me as such." He said, controlling his happiness well. Beaming on the inside he listened to the description of this tyrant, eyes narrowing slightly. "He sounds perfect for the job." Though for some reason Hakan found him disliking the male already...maybe it was jealousy? "He will definately be useful to you Master, and as for the other male I will make sure to fit him into your plan. It was quite fortunate that I met him in such a dull place as the Pridelands. Perhaps even fated." Baneful Mrost nodded, tail flicking where he sat. "I trust you will do me proud in recruiting the male." he smirked "I don't know where you get your ability to persuade from, it's definately not something I taught you." Mrost wasn't exactly silver tongued, often generating conflict rather than followers.
Getting once again to his feet, he began strolling in the direction of the oasis they had whiled away the afternoon at, it would do as a base of operations for now. As for food, he didn't doubt Hakan would be hungry after such a long day and he supposed just this once since the terrain was so rough and unfamiliar, he'd cover the hunting.
Looking over his shoulder he smirked "Anyway, back to the oasis for now, I assume you wouldn't mind some desert gazelle?" then looking back ahead he continued walking. "Best enjoy it because after tonight any and all time we spend here will be catered for by you. I'm not a hunter."Kimaria Hakan nodded and moved to follow after Mrost, trotting at his side with an eagerness that showed in his step. Getting back to the oasis sounded like a good idea, especially now that his throat was beginning to dry out.
"I will never let you down Master, never!" He would use all of his power and persuasive powers to get that male to team up with them. It was a goal that he would strive to complete.
"Food sounds good to me and definaetly. I need to get some hunting practise in anyway. My mother has given me a couple of lessons, I just hope I have aquired her natural talent for it." He loved to watch his mother hunt, for she made it look easy, moving with an elegance and a poise that made him realise how natural it came to her.
He reached the edge of the oasis and took a drink, revealing in the late afternoon shade. The cool water on his throat made him feel a lot better and after a yawn he stretched out his dark body and let his eyes fall closed. This place was very nice indeed, in fact it made the desert even more desirable, just to know that somewhere within it grew life of such beauty and strength. Baneful Mrost nodded, watching Hakan settle down, then with a grin to himself he turned and headed into the desert again to get the lion something to eat when he woke up. He had always sworn to himself that he would never get himself generals again, that mortals weren't worth it.
But here he was again, proud of a mortal and their ingenuity.
He was hopeless.

Kimaria Uzushi rolled and rolled and rolled, legs flailing in the air as he tried to scratch his back on the ground, depserate to rid himself of the incessant itching. He had the sneaking suspicion that he'd managed to capture the fleas, but until he saw one he wouldn't jump to conclusions.
"Kalpana! Make it stoooop." He whined, moving sideways so that he was on his belly. "Itchyyy~!"
Go take a bath, that might help.
"Mrrf." With a small huff the juvenile got to his paws and shook himself, a cloud of dust rising up into the air and irritating his nose enough so that he sneezed. Seaki Koin was following the wind, like he always. He saw a small cloud of dust a bit of a ways off. He diecided to see what it was, upon his curious ways. "Hmmm..." he somewhat hummed as he got closer. He saw a juvenile wild dog. He curiously got closer to him. Kimaria A friend draws near.
"Mrr-wha?" Uzushi raised his head and gazed around him, his bright green eyes searchign the area. "Hulloooo?" He was rather noisy, rather talkative and extremely friendly. He had no need to fear because he had never met anything worth fearing.
So for now he padded slowly forward and continued until his eyes set upon the shape of an elder wild dog.
"Wow you're really big!" Well, apparently that was an adequate enough greeting... Seaki Koin looked down at the smalled wild dog. "Hi..." he said, though a little off and more of a question. He never really hung around other wild dogs. He perfered to be alone... or with someone less.... annoyong. Eh. "And you're really small..." he sdaid. Kimaria "That's because I'm a baby doggy! Silly!" He seemed not to notice the off-tone that the other spoke in and ignored any warnings the voice in his head might have given him.
"Do you live around here? I'm exploring! I always explore, but I've never seen you before! You have nice fur!" He moved forward a few steps and reached up to sniff lightly at the other's chest.
With a high-pitched giggle the pup wagged his tail furiously and with a small yip and a bounce he spoke again. "I'm Uzushi'bueta, but you can shorten it if you want! I don't mind~!" Seaki "I don't live anywhere. I'm traveling," he said, looking at the pup and his never ending talking. He backed up lightly as the smaller pup sniffed his chest. "I'm Koin..." he said. "Just Koin... I'll call you Uzu, if you don't mind..." he said. Kimaria "Hello Koin! That's a nice name, it makes my tongue feel funny when I say it. Koin, Koin, Koin!" He ended his chant abruptly at the shortened nickname and smiled widely.
"Uzu sounds good, yes indeed! When I'm growed up I'm gonna be a traveller too, I have a quest I'm going to go on, but right now I gotta stay with pap and the rest of the pack." He nodded matter-of-factly. "Have you seen lots of good places? Is the world as big as it looks or is it very small?"
He was rather....fond of stories. Seaki "Eh..." Koin blinked a bit at the hyper pup. He was an odd one all right. "I with you luck with your quest," he said with a light nod. "But. They world is big. Don't get lost..." he then considered the pups other question. "Eh. There is a lot of beautiful places." Kimaria Nodding vigorously, Uzushi bounced backwards a little and tipped his ears forward, grinning like an idiot. "Ooooo~ I hope I get to see the world sometime! Especially the pretty places with all the flowers and the rainbows.
His eyes glittered as he spoke.
"Where are you headed now? Someplace magical?" Seaki "Rainbows and Flowers?" he asked, like the kid was joking a bit, but changed his tone. "You can search for a place like that," he said with a slight nod. He didn't want to destroy the kids hope. "Magical?" he then asked. "If the wind blows me in the right direction, I guess I am..." he said. Kimaria "Whee! I will search for it and I'll find it, just you wait and seeee!" With a sharp nod the juvenile made to skip in small circles, humming cheerfully to himself as he did so.
"Does the wind talk to you?" He asked finally, pausing in his circling only due to the dizziness that had began to muddle his brain. Seaki "Alright. I'll see it when you find it..." he said with a bit of a nod, watching the younger pup skipping in circles, humming happily. "The wind... talks sometimes. It can be stubborn, too..." he said. Seaki Koin almost laughed. Of course the wind speaks. The breeze ruffled Koins fur as well, as he listened to the soft whistling voice of the wind. "Oh course anyone can here the wind... just some aren't patient enough to listen. Other just choose not too. Pity though. Such a sweet song the wond has..." he said with a light tilt of his head. Kimaria "I have patience, I'll learn to listen! I want to hear what the wind has to say, I do, I doooo!" He bounced again and then sat down almost restlessly, eyes darting around as if trying to decide whether to stay put or to run around some more.
Then in the distance the barks of his pack mates could be heard and with a small sigh he got to his paws and backed up a little. "I gotta go now Koin, but I hope we'll meet again someday! Was nice talking to you!" And with that the little pup scarpered through the grass and out of sight. Seaki Koin Nodded a goodbye and started after the wind again, starting another adventure. Maybe he'd meet the talktive pup when he was older. But then again, who knows.
