wahmbulance Physical attributes: Though short, Elaine is extremely physically capable. She is muscular and athletic, and though she rarely dresses to flatter her body, it probably looks damn good when it comes down to it. She has mousy brown hair (that is beginning to gray) that reaches a bit past shoulder length and is usually up in a ponytail, and has basic brown eyes. Her facial stucture is somewhat masculine, given that she has a fairly square jawline, but her distinct cheekbones suggest that with a little effort, she could be a very attractive woman. However, she has little to no fashion sense.

domokun Personality: A take-no-nonsense type, and one of those women that gets along better with men than other females simply because of her interests. She has a rather dry sense of humor. In her younger days, she loved a good party, but now, she tends to be a little less into the party type social scene. However, she fears little, and won't take crap from anyone. She is also extremely loyal and protective over those she loves. Quick to irritate but rarely ever actually angry, she makes for a slightly fierce but very kind sort of person.

---> During one of her early assignments, Elaine was forced to shoot the man in question in order to protect herself. Though the entire situation is vague, we know that she had been working undercover with this man and his associates for some time. It is rumored that she secretly developed some sort of romantic attatchment to him, because she was unable to kill or even harm the man...instead, he shot her. Fortunately, she was only hit in the forearm, and though she bears the scar, she is perfectly fit. No such mistakes have been made since then.

blaugh Likes: Football, rugby, field hockey, softball, lacrosse, karaoke bars, camping, science fiction, action movies, dogs, barbeques, flannel shirts, travelling, and the occasional romantic comedy

evil Dislikes: makeup, the color pink, sequins, gnats, skinny dipping, when people comment on her age and marital status (or lack thereof), women who jabber on about their children too much, deadlines, and sappy stories

stressed History: Elaine is the youngest of 3 girls. In all honesty, there was nothing particularly strange about her childhood...her father had wanted a boy, so of course, she was the boy subsitute, and after a few years, happily fell into the role of family tomboy. She was always the athletic sort, and by junior high, was more like "one of the guys" than one of the girls, as far as her friends went. Her sisters, conversely, were particularly feminine and popluar. They really had very little to do with Laney...but of course, were always supportive when it came down to it.

Throughout high school, Laney was an athelete. She was fairly popluar, but her tomboy ways distanced her from females, and pushed her away from having too much of a love life. Still, life was normal and good. In college, she was the same...only she liked to party. Nonetheless, she graduated with a degree in criminal psychology, and later went on to get her masters degree in forensic studies.

By the time she was 28, she began working for the FBI. For the first few years, she was more of an underling, mainly doing office work and background checks, but soon enough, she was promoted to field officer. Her dedication to her work earned her an outstanding reputation among her coworkers, and she soon became one of the FBI's best undercover agents.

As far as the non-work part of her life goes, Laney was severely lacking everything else. She was almost too dedicated to her work. She still maintained some friends from college, but mostly hung out with coworkers. She had very little love life, and one of the most annoying things to her were all the comments people would make on her age and the fact that she was not yet married, or even seriously committed to anyone. Her sisters still ragged on her to be more feminine, in the hopes of her meeting someone and settling down....thus the reason why she hadn't chopped all her hair off.

When she was 40, Feral Labs' work had been called into serious questioning. As there was little hands-on work with this investigation, she had little to do with it, but kept up with the case, as she did with most of the others. A few months ago, the FBI received a call from the prestigious Marlow family, which hinted at some particularly questionable activity from Feral Labs. It appeared that their son had gone there, and within a month, died from experimental complications. They did not believe this, and requested further investigation. Soon after, there was a hint that the notorious Maryke Jimenez had gone on the run to an island somewhere in the vicinity of the Feral Labs' headquarters. Again, there had also been rumors of rising movie star Vasile DiRossi's death being a fake, and he had, instead, been relocated to Feral Labs.

It was enough for the FBI to want further investigation. So, Laney was assigned to the job.

twisted How/why she'd get to the island: Laney is sent to interview the head of Feral Labs, one Doctor Nicholas Moreau. Since there are currently very few solid facts that pin the doctor down for anything suspicious, there is no need for any undercoverwork...a mere visit will be enough...


xd Animal: Currently undecided...probably something fairly unpleasant. Possible thoughts include lemming, marine iguana (particularly ugly creature), and green or brown basilisk. any suggestions would be lovely.

.....my thoughts are inclined towards "unlucky" animals, because as an FBI investigator, Moreau will be particularly unhappy with her. Some of the animals I listed above (mole, ant, termite...) and common pests. The iguana and basilisk are just plain ugly, in my opinion. Lemmings are thought to be stupid, and they do indeed run to their own demise. And a chameleon...well, she is an accomplished undercover agent. A little irony there.
