Hmmm...I saw a different version of that poem over a year ago, but for American soldiers instead. It was almost identical though. smile Still a good read.

There are a lot of different versions of that poem floating around. I think Snopes even has something on it.

I did it!!! Hopefully the ftp will cooperate and you can view my first AMV ever. It's 100% military, maybe I'll take on anime in the future, but for now I'm on a realism kick. It's mostly aviation, mainly because that's what my hubby does for a living. You'll see a lot of him in this AMV as well, because, well...It's my AMV. razz Anyway, please leave a comment. I already know the white parts look wierd, trust me, I tried to make them black but it wouldn't cooperate with me. Thanks again.*clicky* Return (Coming Home)*clicky*

Thanks for watching it Oro. I'll try to fix it so it's smaller and easily accessable. It's running straight from my site since my webhostess and I can't seem to get the zip file to work. I'll let you know when I fix it.

Ok. I think I got it all fixed. Like I said, I'm running it straight from my site, so please be gentle with it. It appears to be working now. I just tested the link.

hello, my hubby is in afganistan right now he should be home soon (about 3 months). He's in the National gaurd and he is supposed to be getting out in Aug. , but now he wants to reinlist. I'm terrified that he'll have to go to Iraq. We have a 23 month old and a second babe due in june. I couldn't bear another year without him. I have bad health and the stress of doing it all alone is so great. I don't know how to pursuade him not to reinlist with out being a total beast. I wish he could understand how it feels to be left behind. Anyway I just want to say hi mostly to all the other super tough ladies and family in the military. And good luck to the wives whos husbands will be departing soon. If you ever need to talk about it I'll be around heart

Hi there Angie! My name is Angela, how cool is that. I am happy that your hubby is coming close to being home. As for the reenlistment thing, I don't think you're a beast for wanting him to consider your side. I swear it's true, not only do you marry your hubby but you do the army. I pretty much am torn on what we're going to do when hubby's term in up, especially since he's leaving in the next month for Iraq.
Great to see a new face!

hi there Angela. Thank you. Sorry to hear about your hubby leaving, best wishes on that. My name isn't actually angie, it's my sisters name, she begged me to come on gaia with her.. so that's what my name is all about. My real name is sarah. I hope your husband will be safe in Iraq. My other sister's husband is leaving next month for Iraq, she gets really scared. I just hope it will all be over soon, but I know thats not very likely.

So far, I'm doing all right. I feel a lot better knowing he's not going to Baghdad. I know a lot of people he's been training with have been getting super depressed. I know I'll feel it too, but we've been through seperation before and trying to stay positive. I'm a horrible worrywart which makes it hard!
