I mean- perhaps on some level I had to expect this- but . . . they took the whole 'alien mechanoid' to the extreme here. I have to say this is pretty freaky-looking, especially the face. I had hoped they would keep the faces as close to the originals as possible. Sigh, oh well. Hopefully it will work out will in the end.

I like it. It looks like an actual mechanical lifeform. And if he takes an earthly alt mode I'll be disappointed. He should be like Beast Era Megs in that he should view Cybertronian life as the pinnacle of design, and he would never take an alt mode based on the simple machinery of worthless meat-creatures.

I hear he's not taking an Earth mode. Even still, if they were going to make him Megatron, why didn't they stick with his classic face? It's a face that's been used in one way or another for every incarnation of Megatron in the same way that Optimus' is identifiable as Optimus. This look could have been altered more to resemble that classic look. I'm disapointed. I'm actually pretty upset. First Starscream and now this...

So... the EYE does belong to Megatron.
If you go to the image that focus on the head, it is the eye on the poster which also matches the Autobot insigma (shape wise).
Thus makes me believe that isn't a hoax and real... which is very sad. Megatron is suppose to be better looking not some creature from the sewers or godzilla -_-

I do think the alt-mode is pretty cool, but it still doesn't feel like a Megs to me. Too sleek, not enough raw power. Also, his claws creep me out. Pretty much the claws and the face are what make me most dislike the design. The rest isn't too bad, it sort of keeps in line with what they are doing with Optimus and Bumblebee.

On that level, I will agree. While the overall cybertronian design is not very appealing to me personally, proper credit is due for keeping both the Bots and Cons looking somewhat similar in their homonid modes. If one set looked all pristene and well covered (as I remember them), while the other looked exposed and piecemeal (like they do now), it would seriously detract from the overall film. It is important that they all have a similar look/feel to them- for they are all the same race of beings, just with radically different views.

I like the flames on Prime. If you've ever seen privately owned rigs like that, that go around without trailers and aren't owned for hauling but simply to own a big truck, quite often you'll see them decorated like that. In other words, if he's going to be driving around without a trailer all the time, the flames fit right in with the rest of the disguise.

I guess people will re-make Optimus's name instead of Fatimus Prime it will now be Flaming Prime and might as well make Megs into Predatron since it looks like something from Predator lol. I think the best looking bot thus far is Bumblebee lol. No weird alterations and funky monster from a typical sci-fi movie look.
Sigh I knew "sci-fi" was the wrong genre...
