well, i try....*shrugs*....since i started with volume 3 of Hellsing i have certain questions...like do they ever tell you how alucard became a vampire??

No. They don't tell you in the manga either. All they say is that he is a mega powerful vampire and that he is eternally a servant to the Hellsing family.

They are now coming out with a new OVA which is supposed to be really good and more faithful to the manga. Which means gore from what I've read.
