"I haven't told anyone," she whispers. "I wish I could wholly trust in this caravan, but the meij plays in a tricky fashion. I feared for his safety," she says, heart thumping, knowing she should just get on with it. "I bought the Queen Firos pendant at a trader along the Pythos. I brought it to Oqaia one night, and when she put it on..." a deep breath. She reminds herself Caroline could be trusted and continued, "He looses his free will and succumbs to whatever the wearer bids. Kale becomes a puppet."
Kale, too tiny to understand any of the plight, wraps his hands around Ro's neck and grins when she kisses him. He rocks back and forth on her lap happily.

Lorelei fumbled in a satchel she brought with her before pulling out a folio of spare paper. She had found it in Ivy-Twined, and it seemed to still be good. Following that, she pulled out a quill and a mostly-empty pot of ink.
"What were the prophecies so far...?" she asked, moving to the ground so she can have somewhere solid to write. "Betrayal on the water - from mine. Rivalry and Lucifer for Heather's...." She was writing down the prophecies as fully as she could remember them, only using the small summaries as verbal clues. "Dancing girl.... fiery marrionette..."
Sitting back, she looked at the parchment, then passed it around. "Add anything I forgot, or you see fit..."
Vanna squirmed out of Amkia's grasp, grabbing his hand and pulling him after her as she crawled in Kale and Ro's direction, carefully giving Kala a wide berth. Vanna waved to Ro again in a, 'We're coming!' message.

Caroline nods and 'hm's at Marissa in the right moments. She puts an arm around her consolingly. "Dinna fear, Marissa," she says, squeezing her about the shoulders, "None of us will let annathing happen to wee Kale. We're all smart--we can figure out what the Meij has in store for him--for all of our children."
In the meantime, she takes Lor's tablet and quill and jots down 'woodland choice' in slanting, spiky script. She passes it along, knowing she'll undoubtedly take it back as she remembers more symbols.
Rojiza smiles her best at Kale and bounces him again. She looks up to see Vanna and Amkia coming her way. Carefully she slides off of the log she'd been sitting on to the ground. She sits cross-legged and lets Kale situate himself. She loves the wee ones, and wonders what they'll look like once they're grown.
Being unable to speak gives one much time to think. Rojiza ponders the queerness of the Meij. She knows that Kale has been around just as long as she has, if not longer. But here he is, still a tot, and she's already grown into a child. She remembers all the references in the Banya predictions to fire and wonders if the Meij is trying to warn them that Kale is about to grow into a child. It's been quite long enough, she decides. She hugs him again and starts paying attention to the real world once more.

Marissa smiles appreciatively at Caroline's kind words. "Thank you, dear, for saying so," she says. "It's just frightening, knowing your own child so vulnerable. I'm sure you understand- Ro's been your charge as long as Kale has been mine, and we've all been through our share of tumult." She takes the parchment and scrawls 'Poor little Puppet, not as safe, watch for the Woodland Choice.'
Kale sees the other approaching and welcomes the company, smiling and waving. He plays with Ro's hair. It is so long, now! And it smells nice, too.

Heather took the piece of paper and passed it on, there was nothing she needed to add.
Amkia managed to walk as Vanna crawled, he stumbled a few times but he was getting better, slowly. Amkia wasn't too sure about meeting others, Kala had put a fear deep in his heart.

Caroline smiles in a friendly manner. "Aye, lass. We can get through this, eh?"
Rojiza welcomes the company with a smile and a slightly bigger lap now. She giggles at Kale's little nose tickling in her hair.

Lorelei watched the paper go round, thinking. The close friend her prophecy spoke of was probably Annjette, she knew... but now, watching Amkia and Vanna, she was starting to wonder. Lucifer was the Betrayer, in essence, yes? If Amkia did become as Lucifer due to Kala's influence....
Lorelei shuddered. Somehow, it seemed safer if it was Annjette betraying her daughter.
Vanna was still unable to walk, so she eyed Amkia enviously as she clambered in Ro's lap, waving to Kale and giving him a big hello hug. She might have missed flying, but arms led to hugging!

"Aye." Marissa nodded, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves. She even tried out a grin to will the jitters away.
Kale was caught off-guard by the hug, but returned it with gusto. People intrigued him, even at his age- each was so different, so interesting. He made a happy noise, somewhere between a laugh and a yell, being sure to advertise his contentedness.

Amkia was freaked to be with the others so as Vanna crawled on to the girls lap amkia sat on the ground in front of them just watching and feeling the presence of Kala.
Kala was slowly making her way towards the group, he green eyes watching the youngsters. Licking her lips she eventually settled down next to Amkia, he tail swaying from side to side.

Altaira past the paper to the next person without adding anything, as she had no Banya or fortune telling object. Unable to add anything intelligant to the conversation she just watched the others interact. They all seemed to be good friends...save the panther, a shame that.

((Just a.... suggestion- you may be a little curious about that Firos Pendant. If it can control Kale.... a fire element... what about your little babe? ninja twisted ))

Veshengo was watching the woman from a few feet away, Pani sitting on his shoulder. He brow was furrowed in thought, his face frought with concern over Marissa's emotions and her beloved child. Slowly creeping forward as he listened, his banyas mood seemed to change, rustling and flapping his feathers. Something was obviously awry in the caravan, a strange wind blowing the meij off course. Pani caught the same breeze, and though it was cold, the message it brought pleased him.
This fiery love
Oh loves she fire.
But what she loves
Where fire consumes wood-
So wood
Consumes this Fire.
Veshengo was miffed by the sudden words from his bird, and froze solid, knowing that the words were also loud enough for Marissa and anyone close to her to hear.
[couldn't let this prophecy go unknown to the group, so here ya go]

Marissa started at the Banya's cry. She swiveled on her seat, spotted Veshengo, and at once turned around again, trying to hide her blush. Her hand shot to her neck, where the gold necklace hung daintily across her collarbones. She pretended not to notice, pretended not to be interested, but secretly she wondered if he would approach her.
Kale saw and heard the new arrival, as well. He simply looked on, wondering why his mother was acting so strangely, and played with the coins on Rojiza's skirt.

Rojiza, too, had seen Veshengo's appearance and heard the Banya's cry. She frowns lightly at the prediction. Again the reference to fire. But why would the mysterious gypsy man's Banya bird spout a prophecy about Kale?
Caroline cocks an eyebrow mid-conversation at Veshengo. "Aye, then," she says, filling the silence afterword.
