Nefen shot a confused look at Vermillion. But before he could speak, he started fighting those two women who suddenly appeared. He decided that it would be better if he followed the ones who had originally come with the dragon.

"It looks like I'll be heading with you!" he exclaimed to the woman with the crown. Well... this may prove useful to me, he thought, smiling secretly to himself.

Marta pulled away from the group and went along the outter wall her guards followed her ((i admit i suck a** at fighting scenes never been good at them dont have that kind of mind not enough violence in my imagination)) she would try and get around the farce to see if she could find the empress then she would figure out a way to sneek her out with out getting her killed by these maniacs. ((hope that was ok))

Nefen snuck around Vermillion's ordeal and followed Marta. He would be useless if he stuck with the dragon, but if he followed the others then he would probably get more out of things... whatever those things would be. He kept a hand on his sword's hilt, in case he needed to unsheathe it. And he was very eager to do so.

(writers block to the extreme ;- wink

Shavas watched with fascination as her magic was dissolved, the face ih her head gripped her conscious, and twisted it sickeningly, no longer amused. She clutched her head and screamed as white hot bolts of pain shot up her spine.

Taking a deep breath, she raised her head for once her eyes were clear, and filled with purpose as her hand dove for the dagger at her belt and brought it up to the pulsing vein in her neck. She struggled, as the edges of her vision began to fog, and the presense in her mind began to take control once again, it cackled evily but still had to struggle to break her iron grasp on reality.
The blasted ring constricted her airways, and she dropped the dagger to clutch at her throat with shock. It was enough, Laos took advantage of her momentary distraction to gain control. After another viscious internal struggle, Shavas broke free once more from her possesion, wasting no time she ripped an iron sconce from the wall, and slammed it against her head with all of her strength. "Take it off" she hissed, as her limp body crumpled to the floor.

The demon Lord won back his puppet's mind, only to find that his vessel was useless, unconscious, and resigned himself to his defeat after sending one last hot wave of pain roiling through her helpless form.
The body jerked, and twitched with agony but Shavas didn't rise, a heave trickle of blood soaked her auburn locks, and pooled on the cold stone floor."

(I'm just gonna have Nadira follow for now, since I have to go.)

Vermillion approached with caution, Shavas was crafty in defeating Loas the first time many years ago, and Vermillion would not rule out a desperation attempt to win the current battle now.

"Crystal of warning, show yourself!"

A crystal appeared at Vermillion's side; "I want you to montior her, if she so much as twitches on any level..."

Vermillion knelt down to inspect the collar, it wouldn't be easy to remove, but Vermillion would try before consciousness returned and battle resumed.

Afer careful anaylisis Vermillion knew of only one way, but the damage would be permanent to her.

Vermillion spoke softly in draconic, the symbol formed on the collar, and vermillion turned his head to avoid the glare of it. "Sou'kar!"

The collar burned horribly hot a bright enough to burn the smybol into her neck. Their was no other sign of the collar, and Vermillion turned his attention to the head wound.

The healing was easy, but he settled down across the room to watch her.

"Crystal of destruction show yourself."

A larger crystal joined the other beside Vermillon. "Watch with warning, if she shows mal intent, you've permission to kill."

"Now, can ye tell me where the coin went?" Seamus asked a little girl. The girl seemed to ponder for a bit before pointing at his sleeve. "Ye think it is in my sleeve?" He asked once again. The girl giggled and nodded as he shifted his sleeve so that she could see down his sleeve. "Is it down there?" He asked, the girl shaking her head no vigiourisly. "Do you want to know where it is?" He asked for the final time. The girl nodded her head once again. "Check yer mother's hair ;assie." He told the little girl, who turned to her mother with eyes wide with shock. She quickly glanced over to Seamus before going over to her mother. She proceeded to methodically to check her mother's hair. Her eyes grew even wider when she found the coin. With a shy smile, she quickly gave it back to him. "Thank ye lassie. Now, do ye wanna see one other trick before I leave?" He asked the girl, who quickly nodded. He placed the coin on his palm and covered the coin in between his hands. He kept his hands horizontal as he seemed to concentrate. He opened one eye and looked at the girl before closing it again. He let out his breath in one big sigh before shaking his head. "I canna seem to do it." He admitted. "It would seem I would need some help there lass. What I need ye to do is blow in between my hands." He told the girl, who leaned forward and gave a gently blow on his hands. "Nay lass, ye need to blow harder. Ye got to blow wi' all yer might." He said tot he girl. she responded by blowing as hard as she could for as long as possible. Unbeknowest to the crowd, a rune glowed on his bottom hand which made the 'trick' possible. When she was done blowing, he opened his hands to reveal that the coin had been neatly sliced into two. "There ye go lassie! Ye did!" He praised, causing the girl to blush brilliantly. The crowd began to applaud him loudly. He brought his hands together and separated them again to show that the two coins were now one again. "Thank ye folks for watching, I hoped ye had a good time." He said, finally standing up and stretching. The crowd began to disperse as they threw coins into a hat he had on the ground. He saw the girl still goggling at him. So he bent down and gave her the coin he was using. "Thank ye lassie for being such a helpful person." He said before standing up. she smiled at him one last time before running back to her mother. A big smile on his face as the last of the crowd drifted away. He picked up his hat and began to count how much money he had obtained for his little 'magic show'.

((Look, I'm here! I'm also sick, but that's beside the point...))

Tsuki watched as Shavas attempted to break free of Laos' control, going so far as to nock herself unconcious to keep the demon at bay. Her gaze strayed to her daughter Ankhe who was slowly approaching her now that Shavas wasn't attacking anymore.

Ankhe approached her enemy, the woman looked so very familiar but she couldn't place where she'd met her. Ankhe clenched one of her daggers in her fist and stood ready should the woman decide to attack her again, though she didn't look to be in any condition to do so. The shards of silver metal that lay scattered around her were smoking slightly and looked to be slowly sinking deeper into the floor...

Tsuki noticed that the peices of her collar were sinking into the floor and thought that it wasn't a very good idea to leave them there...she raised her hand and summoned a shadow void to store them in for later inspection.

She noticed her daughter tense up when she moved, obviously not realizing who Tsuki was. Or not remembering her at all...

"Ankhe...you can put the dagger away, I'm not going to attack you anymore- I'm free of his control. My name is Tsuki dear." Tsuki let a smile touch her face for the first time since her imprisonment in the collar and continued, "I'm rather unsurprised that you don't remember me since I left you when you were but a baby and went of to save the world...or at least help anyway. I seem to have gotten myself blown up, resurrected, controled, and shortly after freed since then." Her smile grew, but was cut off as Vermillion removed the collar from Shavas' neck.

She heaved herself up with difficulty, she was still weak from the power the breaking of the collar had taken up.

"You! What are you doing, giving orders to have her killed?! She's free now, albeit unconcious and Shavas wouldn't hurt anyone...okay, maybe a few people, but not obvious allies such as yourself when she is in her right mind...!" Tsuki shouted across the distance between herself and Vermillion.

Ankhe looked at the woman whom she now knew was named Tsuki with a look of vague recognition. This woman looked uncannily like the descriptions she had heard of her mother. As Tsuki got up and began to slowly walk over to the woman now known as Shavas, Ankhe had to do a double take, Tsuki and Shavas? She had heard stories of them from many people she had met in her travels...they had helped to turn the tide in the last war...and Tsuki was her mother, the Queen of Inthe.
(Ankhe had been unable to claim the throne as the council in Inthe had not believed her when she had told them of her parentage and Ankhe had been hunted for a year and a half for claiming to be the dead child of their Queen.)

Tsuki, oblivious to her daughter's thoughts, reached Shavas and knelt next to her, observing the slight marks on her neck from the removal of her collar.

Tieing off his coinpurse, he began to set all his posessions into place. His coinpurse hidden inside his cloak, his claymore strapped to his back, the dirk tied to his waist, and his sgian dubh hidden on his person. With everything in place, he started to walk the streets in search of a restuarant to eat at. Not having been able to eat the past couple of days had made him really hungry. Normally he could handle the hunger, but he preferred being full then starving. During his search, he saw a group of people. Not a very large group but not a small group either. Intrigued by what they were doing, he stopped and decided to watch. I guess it is my turn to be entertained. He thought as he hid behind a builidng to watch the group.

Vermillion looked over at Tsuki; "Destruction will listen to warning, but i am no fool when it comes tot his magic you cast. mistakes get you killed, and I cannot afford a mistake. If you value her life then it would be best if you were near when she wakes. If I see that danger has past then I will ask them to stand down, this is not negotible, and furthermore I don't trust you yet."

Vermillion stood back up just in case battle resumed with this new target.

Nadira casually glanced over her shoulder, the halls seemed empty except for flickering shadows. She could hardly breathe, her eyes narrowed as se took a slow step forward. For a moment there, she would have sworn she saw movement. Taking a slow step foreword she paused, armor creaking, not knowing what to believe.
Nadira was vaguely numb, two epic heroes had just magically reappeared after being dead for well over a decade, not only that but they had just caused a complete slaughter in their attempt to murder the Queen to server the purpose of Laos, the demon king who they had fought to overthrow in the first place. "Vermillion..." she breathed, motioning towards to corner where the faint silhouette of a man could just be seen against the dark stone.

The fog had cleared from her mind. It was like waking from a dream, only to find herself in a nightmare. There was a new fire in her eyes, a new fire in her heart that gave her the strength to sit up, if a bit shakily, and get her bearings. Everything in her peripheral vision seemed a bit fuzzy, but a direct blow to the head tended to scramble your brains a little, no matter the circumstances. A small smile graced her lips, as her eyes glided about the room. Her mind was remarkable clear now, everything from the past few came back to her in a steady stream, a few of those images made her wince slightly, especially the most recent ones, but she had seen, and done much worse in her time. She remembered emotionlessly emerging from the portal, and calling Laos her 'master'.
With effort she overcame the urge to cut out her tongue.
Then she remembered a stunning explosion of intense pain as the collar was clasped around her neck, and the magic rooted its way throughout her body. Shavas reached up to stroke the scarred band of skin around her neck, and quivered as her cool fingers brushed up against the tender flesh. Flesh, that was the other thing, she very clearly remembered dying in that last battle, taking a score of demons along for the ride.
Her crooked grin widened, as her gaze settled on the disgruntled Lord Vermillion, and his crystals. "Believe it or not my Lord, but if I had any ill intent towards you, I would have eliminated you before your crystals could have warned, much less stop me. I'm sure you are capable of incredible feats, but I have years of experience, and intense study behind me."
Smiling coyly, she got to her feat, teetering for a moment as she struggled to regain the use of her motor skills. "No one uses me as a puppet." She hissed between her teeth, her golden eyes flared with fury as the power flared inside her. It was as intoxicating as it always had been, some things never change, and it would appear that she still had to struggle to control her darker nature. "And a good thing for Houka that Laos has never managed to fully gauge the extent of my abilities, or Tsuki's for that matter."

"Lets not get cocky Shavas, i'm your opposite in the spectrum of things, and don't take my crystals lightly. Don't take me lightly either, for you've been dealt a serious insult at my hands, and one I'm reluctant to reveal at this moment. Destruction, Warning, your dismissed, and thank you for your patience." The two crystals disappeared, and Vermillion bowed to the two before walking on after where his party had disappeared to. He paused at the doorway to the next chamber, and turned giving a low warning to Shavas. "Do not remove the symbol Shavas to do so will kill you." Vermillion turned around and kept on going so he could catch up to Nadira and the others.

Marta heard the sounds of battle die down and looked behind her squinting her eyes in the darkness of the hall to see if any thing followed them the hairs on the back of her neck were standing on end.

A score of guards came running down the hallway and encountered first Ankhe, then Vermillion, Shavas, and Tsuki. They moved to block the exits of the hallway and one, presumedly the leader of the group, spoke, "By order of the Lady Lyra Fa Houreka you are all to be detained and brought to her meeting chambers. Your weapons will be taken into custody and the room you will be taken to has magical dampeners built into the walls; it is impossible to use magic when inside. Failure to comply with these orders will result in our having to use force. We have already encountered Queen Marta of Pearle, one who's name is Nefen, and Princess Nadira of Esperanza, they are en route to the meeting chamber as we speak."

((What say you we take this to Lyra's throne room? I know Marta, Nefen, and Nadira didn't have any encounter with these guards yet, but we're getting to some really interesting stuff and I wanna get on with it. So roleplay something about surrenduring your weapons to the guards (you can put up a fight if you want, but the spoof monster will descend from the heavens and help the guards to restrain you by using a convenient plot device that really should stay hidden for another couple days but it won't really matter when I reveal it.) and follow them to the meeting chamber. 'tis another thread, not hard to find.))

Vermillion looked at the guards; "That will not be acceptable, to enter a room without magic would result in my returning to true form, and I doubt your meeting area can hold a dragon of my size. I however do accept the terms to not engage in any battle, i'll listen and offer my reasonings from the doorway, and to ease your queens fears one may be permitted to stand close with blade to strike."
