---Stress

-Pg. 2497-2498

India
India stopped in his pacing just long enough to fully stretch out his back. He'd been a bit antsy lately. Whatever the reason, he wasn't sure. Still, all he knew was that it was keeping him from getting decent sleep and was even worse than the time he'd had insomnia. Trying to calm himself, he settled down, but that only lasted for a moment. Just a second later, he was back on his feet.

Ember
Ember wandered inside, his ears drooped. He was confused, thoughts running circles around his brain faster than he could comprehend them, and it was giving him a headache. Doing his normal scan of the room, he saw India pacing, and a thrill of insecurity ran through him. India always made him nervous, he thought, but decided to go over anyway. The other kitsu might prove to be a good distraction from his confusion.

India
Absorbed in his pacing, India almost missed the other male's approach. However, when he did notice, his eyes narrowed slightly. He wasn't angry, no, far from it. Truthfully, he was just confused as to why Ember was coming towards him. On any other occasion, he would be the one going to the other. Ceasing mid-stride, he raised a brow, but smiled nonetheless. "Hey, Ember," he greeted.

Ember
As India narrowed his eyes, Ember cringed, freezing and backing up a step or two. Why was India angry with him now? He hadn't had the chance to mess anything up yet, or at least he didn't think so. "I, uhm...H-hello, India." he managed, smiling carefully at him before letting his eyes drop to the ground once more. He knew that India hated him being submissive, but if he was already mad at Ember, it didn't really matter.

India
Oblivious to the fact that he was the cause of such discomfort, India canted his head. What was wrong, he wondered. Then again, he felt too tired to muse over it. Sighing, he padded up to Ember, stretching his neck down and under in an attempt to catch the other's gaze. "Something wrong?" he asked idly. As he did so, his supporting leg buckled slightly, and when his mind reacted to catch himself, it caused him to shoot up and barely headbutt Ember's shoulder.

Ember
As Ember started to reply, he felt a light blow to his shoulder and startled away with a yelp. "India!" he squeaked, flustering. "I-uh-that is...are...are you alright?" he asked, peering curiously at him. India knew how skittish he was, and wouldn't ever purposefully startle Ember, he didn't think....but maybe if he was mad, he would. Ember wasn't sure.

India
At the sudden movement, India found himself jumping back also. Shaking lightly on weary legs, he breathed deep to calm. Rarely was India so easily startled. With a light chuckle, he found himself wondering if Ember was somehow rubbing off on him. But then, more seriously, he realized it was probably his antsy-ness and lack of real sleep. "Yeah, I'm fine," he assured. "Sorry about that," he added with a sheepish grin. "Now, what about you?" he questioned again, pondering taking a seat, but finding himself unable.

Ember
As India startled as well, Ember frowned. India wasn't the skitterish type, from what he'd seen, and that worried him even further. "I'm fine..." he assured him, completely forgetting his previous anxiety that India was angry, concern for India taking its place. "Are...are you sure you're okay...?" he asked hesitantly, peeking up at him from under his bangs, "You don't seem...yourself, tonight."

India
India only stood a bit longer before he was finally able to find a seat. Sighing, he swung his all black tail around to lay across his paws, but it still twitched in slight agitation. For a moment, he pondered assuring the other once again that he was fine, but that would do no good. Truthfully, he was a bad liar anyway. "Well..." he drew out, tilting his head and trying to find something across the room to stare at. "I'm just tired's all." He finally finished, not adding anything else. That was what he wanted himself to believe, after all. He wanted it to be that he would be alright once he was able to sleep soundly again.

Ember
"You haven't been sleeping well?" Ember asked in surprise. After all, this was the kitsu that Yrre-kun called the Sleeper. He sat down beside him, tails flicking lightly to brush against his in a subconcious attempt to make him feel better. "Are you worried about something..? I know I d-don't sleep well, because I'm always worrying, s-so I thought...m-maybe that's not true for you, sorry..."

India
India smiled lightly, shaking his head. "No need to apologize." Whether he was just getting used to it or he was too tired to much care, he found he wasn't all that bothered by Ember's submissive apology. "I don't think I'm worried about anything. If I am, it's news to me." He nosed the other's shoulder lightly, as if in thanks for trying to help. "Sometimes I just can't sleep. It's happened before, but..."

Ember
Ember automatically leaned into India's touch, smiling slightly at the contact. "Insomnia, then..." he murmured, nodding knowingly. He had such problems himself, after all. "Well, if you ever need somebody to stay up with..." Maybe if he had company, while he was up and about whilst most everybody was asleep, he could keep the fear away from himself, and make India happy at the same time.

India
"I suppose insomnia is something a sleeper must always fear," India joked with a little chuckle. Yawning lightly, he rolled his shoulders in an attempt to release a bit of built up stress. Some of it had already dissipated, however. Having someone to talk to helped, he was glad Ember had come over. Grinning, he finished the other's sentence. "I'll look for you. Thanks, Ember. Having someone to talk to helps."

Ember
"It helps me, too." Ember said before he could stop himself. What a sappy moron he must sound! If only he could learn to bloody well think before he spoke! He hunched his shoulders, smiling sheepishly at India and nodding. "Er...that is...glad to help?"

India
India laughed. "Don't be afraid to say what you mean. If it helps you, too, then it does." He nudged Ember's shoulder playfully, though it was a rather gentle nudge. He felt more at ease than usual, perhaps because he felt he was actually doing something constructive. Last time he'd tried to get Ember to lighten up, it hadn't helped, he knew. Shouting never did. He internally sighed at the memory.

-Pg. 2504-2505

India
India yawned and stretched, waking up from what seemed to be his first semi-good sleep in a while. Talking with Ember really had helped and while he still hadn't slept as well as usual, it was much better. Rolling to his paws, he stretched again, rising as he did so and scanning the room. Dark ears flicked idly as he took a few steps, glanced around again, took a few more steps, and finally stopped. Ah, thankfully he didn't feel much like pacing today. That was an improvement.

Chroma
Chroma was full of excitement but tiring. She longed to see India and practially flew into the HQ when she saw him through the open door.

"In-dia!" She called out happily, slowing down just short of colliding with him & licking his ear. "Missed you!"

India
All but used to his mate's hyper greetings, India didn't even flinch when she came barreling towards him. His ear did twitch when it recieved the unexpected lick, however. Grinning slightly, he tilted his head to her, moving the 'attacked' ear away. "And I missed you," he returned, licking her nose as if to avenge his ear.

Chroma
All three tails wagged happily as a thrilled shiver ran down Chroma's back.

"Have you been sleeping well without me?" She asked teasingly, knowing to ask if he had played any fun games was pointless. Wanting to catch up on her India "fix" Chroma walked down the length of him, brushing his side with hers. At the end she nipped gently & playfully at his black tail. Nothing that would be painful... just a friendly little n**.

India
As if it had a mind of its own, the all black tail started away from the n**. India made a move around to protect his poor, defenseless tail from his mate's horrible assult. But all the while a grin played on his lips. That is, until he thought to answer her question. "Not really..." he responded, though didn't ellaborate. He never would've linked his antsy-ness and lack of good sleep to not having Chroma around, but then again... he couldn't really rule that out either. He canted his head curiously.

Chroma
Chroma pouted doubley, for her mate's lack of happy sleep & the tail sneaking away from her. Thinking on it, she decided to lick the tail instead; not quite the way she might groom it. At the last minute she decided to start grooming India anyway. "You'll sleep well tonight!" She said with authority, nodding her head. "So will I!" Turning she licked his nose & proceeded to groom India's face & ears. "I do my best sleeping with you." She added, almost shyly.

India
India grumbled, trying to pull away from the bath. Stubbornly, he shook his head to try to throw her off as she continued, but it didn't do much good at her words. He pratcially gaped at her, wondering how she could make him think such annoyingly perverted thoughts with her innocent words. "Thanks," he muttered, thankful more so that his dark fur was likely to hide whatever color happened to heat his cheeks. And as if to hide any possibilty that he'd been thinking that way at all, he moved in an attempt to escape once again.

Chroma
As she noticed that India tried to get away Chroma's face fell. "You don't like me cleaning you?" Her blue eyes grew sad & she stepped back crestfallen. She had been sure India would like it.

India
"I, uh..." India's eyes wandered, as if something in their surroundings would offer an excuse. She'd done it before and it hadn't bothered him, but he was still wary of his face being cleaned, he supposed. Besides, last time he was almost asleep. It had been comforting. Sighing, he stepped up to close the space between them, lowering himself slightly to nuzzle her neck and hold her chin on his neck. "It's not that I don't like it. I'm just not too used to it." He sighed again. That was the best he could come up with?

Chroma
Best or not, it was enough for his simple mate. She stopped trying to bathe India& instead snuggled against him. "Maybe later. Or tomorrow. You're pretty clean anyway." She wove her tails in his. "So do'ya wanna do something? Something else?"

Chroma yawned, her busy weekend with poor sleep catching up to her. "Something more your speed? Without running & chasing?"

India
"Mm. Like what?" India questioned, not really sure what there was to do that didn't invlove running, that is, beside sleeping. And it's not like his sister was here to pull a game ball out of no where like she always did. But it was at that thought that he felt his heart clench. He had to sit, head laying heavily against his mate's neck. Kitten... it'd been forever since he'd seen his closest sibling. He wondered what she was up to. Sighing, he scooted closer to Chroma's warmth, sucking up the comfort he wasn't sure she knew she was giving.

Chroma
Sensing India's sudden hurt more than understanding it, Chroma joined India on the ground & curled around him protectively. Looking for what might have caused him pain & seeing nothing, Chroma turned bright blue worried eyes upon her mate. "What is it? What's wrong?"

India
India snuggled against his mate's protective form, sighing in a hightened sense of content. Flipping his tails out and draping the over her, as if to offer some form of protection to her as well, he sighed into her fluff. "I miss my sister, Keiki, s'all." He spoke into her fur, warming his own muzzle. "I haven't seen her in a long time..."

Yawning slightly, he curled up a bit more. "Sorry to worry you..." he said softly, eyes narrowing as he already began to drift.

Chroma
Chroma was worried, but she was also very tired & her mate's sleepiness as usual was having it's usual affect on her. She lowered her head the rest of the way, deciding they could speak of Keiki in the morning. She missed her ball-playing friend too. Maybe tomorrow she could take India on a search for Keiki. Yes. That was a good idea.

But for now. Sleep.

-Pg. 2798-2803 [Mountain Thread]

Chroma
Chroma bounced a little. She still did not get it. "Parents? Parents of kits? That would be fun!"

Then she paused. "How's that happen? Is it like when Trel has Myr get groceries?"

Keiki
Keiki worked hard not to fall on the ground into laughter again. Lords! She almost felt sorry for her brother. Almost. But not really. But she couldn't help as some snickers escaped. "As in...well acutally I let India tell you a~all about it." Her sister sense was tingling.

India
India yawned. The changes in altitude where already getting to him. And he found himself asking in his head, as he had been the whole trip, why he was even going up to the Mountain's HQ at all. What reason did he have, truly? Well, he knew Chroma visited there every once in a while. And so did Kitten, but quite a bit more. When he'd awoken without his mate, he'd begun to quickly wonder if she'd went off to look for his sister.

Gaze narrowing as he looked up ahead, he spotted a building. "Must be it," he mumbled, pushing himself. "Just a bit further." Once he reached the HQ and stepped inside, he was automatically in better spirits. Ah, how much he liked indoors more than outdoors.

Chroma
"Okay! India explains things fun!" The female nodded happily her tails flouncing. That reminded her. "Oh yeah! India was worried 'bout you! Me too! He said you'd been hurt!"

With friendly concern, Chroma looked her friend up & down as if she would notice anything. Perhaps she might. Chroma was not an idiot, just child-minded. "You look okay to me." She said shrugging. "We should go find India! He'll be so glad you're all right!"

Chroma started bouncing around her friend with excitement. Maybe Keiki could help her intice India into a game!

Keiki
Keiki chuckled and bounced after her lighter toned friend. "Yeah I know he will." She winced on the inside. Oh yeah...heh heh. She did forget to mention that she had come back here after she had healed enough didn't she? Crap. Whoops. Though she could fake being hurt and make him obey her every cute fun whim. Ooo slaves.

India
Two or three scans of the room brought nothing. Well, what a wasted trip. Sighing, he turned for the door. Better to get back down to the Realm soon. Pushing idly out the door, he was rather surprised to come face to face with the two he'd been looking for seconds earlier. He even had to blink a few times, fearing the altitude was messing with his head. "Chroma? Kitten?" He voiced, taking a little step. Despite his excitement, he stayed calm. "I was looking for you..."

Chroma
Chroma did not know how to respond to Keiki's odd comment, but she did know how to respond to the voice that called her name & the scent that came on the wind. Her bright furred body shivered from nose to the tips of her tails in excitement just before she raced towards her mate. "India!"

With the abandon of a female in love she closed the distance between them to snuggle against India with gentle purrs. "Look! I found Keiki! & she's all not hurt & everything!"

She was proud of herself, & flicked her tails against India lovingly. "Oh! And she wants to know when we're gonna make her even more of an aunt! Where do we go shopping, 'ndia?"

Keiki
Keiki's eyes immediately softened as she saw the yellow female cuddle up to her brother. That was sweet. At long last her darling darling Di-nii-kun had someone else to watch over. And give a nickname that would last for-ev-ar.

Slowly she idled up to her brother, a gentle smile upon her face, a small swagger in her walk. "Eh heh heh...I guess I should've told you that I healed and was coming back here before, huh?" If her brother started scolding her she wouldn't be surprised. Nope not at all.

India
Despite being so used to his mate by now, India couldn't help but lean to her, nuzzling her gently. It was good to see her, even if they hadn't been apart very long. He would be hard pressed to admit such a thing, but he always woke with a heavy heart when he could no longer feel her warmth.

Beginning to purr slightly, he pulled his gaze from Chroma, allowing it to fall on his sister. And with her apology and all, he couldn't hold back a little scowl. "I wish you had told me, Kitten." He had truly missed her. She was his closest sibling, after all. However, whether he was truly over it or not, his mate's last words finally sunk in.

"Shopping?" He questioned, pulling away a tiny bit. Kitten wanted to be an aunt, so... His mind tumbled over what she was saying until... "Chroma, you can't shop... for....... kits." As if exactly what he was saying was finally made clear, he stopped, flushing. Shooting an 'I'm gonna get you for this' look at Keiki, he sighed.

Chroma
Chroma blinked in confusion. "You don't? Then where do you get them, 'ndia?"

She nuzzled him at the base of his ear, oblivious to the looks going on over her head between the siblings. " 'cause I think kits of our own would be fun!"

Keiki
Keiki chuckled nervously. Though it soon turned into a chuckle of malicious joy. It was just so much fun to do this! Well at the same time so was being the gossip girl. Oh yeah! She so~o had to tell him of the latest news of the family.

"Well I love you anyway Di-nii-kun." She smirked happily, her tails wagging vicously due to happiness plus it was a bit hot. She gave her brother's ear a tug, a snicker coming loose. "I have ne~ews Di-nii-kun."

India
Rather than explain in detail, India merely coughed and went straight to the end. "From eggs." He stated simply. "The mother's eggs..." he continued, though it was so low it was nearly impossible to catch. And whether or not Chroma would have any idea what he was talking about was left to chance.

And as he internally congratulated himself, though it was an early celebration, he felt an annoying tug on his ear. Of course, he hadn't doubted it would happen. His sister seemed to have a strange association with his ears. "And what would that be, Kitten?" he drawled.

Chroma
Sitting down with a thump Chroma laughed, shaking her head. "I know that, 'ndia! I've seen eggs hatch! But where would we get our eggs?"

A tendril of thought about Trelweny mentioning something about sperm & eggs darts through her mind, but not understanding it Chroma tosses it aside.

"News?" Chroma sits taller to look at Keiki over India's head. "Good news?"

Keiki
Keiki resisted laughing out loud. It was just...so...hilarious! India definately had a run for his money. But one day...hormones would tell her everything. Most likely at least. Keiki purred at the thought of having more little ones to take care of. Maybe she actually enjoyed babysitting. At least...until she actually had her own love life. Which she wasn't sure when that would happen. Hm, crap. Why did everyone else in her family get some except for her?! Bah. Insert Keiki mentally sighing.

Her mind did a flip as she switched to the news. Her eyes twinkled with joy. This was practically her hobby. Well actually it probably was. She smiled and twirled. "Oh Di-nii-kun our darling little Xyrie has found herself a man. His name is Gao, he's a fight. And oh! Gao actually stood up to Damis for the sake of Xyrie. It was so adorable. And he calls her mistress sometimes. They're just a cute couple. We should be expecting great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews soon!" She bounced on her toes as she told her brother of the news. It was a wonderful thing.

India
India sighed, for once not even bothering to answer Chroma. She would figure it out one way or another. That is, if they were to have kits. Kitten wouldn't hear of them not having kits, so he figured he didn't have to worry too much about that. But once he heard the news, his mind dropped that subject, only to pick up a rather similar one. Truthfully, he'd almost expected the news to be about Xyrie.

"Our family is too big," he mumbled, shaking his head with a grin. "But Xyrie's cute. I'm not too surprised." His grin seemed to slip into a smirk as he glanced over to his sister. However, even such news couldn't keep his rising yawn at bay. Licking his mate's cheek, he moved off to the side, laying down, despite being outside, to watch them. He was content enough with the mere fact that he'd found them at all.

Chroma
Hormones was not the problem. Not the way Chroma's body longed to be near India's. No, Chroma could likely go through all the motions, birth the eggs & everything & still look at them in wonder & think 'where did those come from?'

She listened with interest to Keiki's family news; tails flicking from side to side. Her excitement grew as Keiki's did, though she did not really understand why. She thought perhaps it was because this Xyrie & this Gao were 'each others' like she & India were, but she had never heard a kitsu called a 'man' before. And she was totally lost when it came to Gao standing up to Damis. She did not know who Damis was, much less what standing up to him meant.

Figuring it really had nothing to do with her, Chroma flopped onto her back & rolled on the grass a moment. Then missing India's touch she whined, seeing that he'd gone away. She wanted to go to him, but she wanted to play too. Her distress was an open book from the way her body sagged.

Keiki
Keiki smirked and nodded towards her brother's reducing figure. "Go on and spend some time with the love of your life. I think I hear my nephew being an a**." She nuzzled Chroma a bit. "I'll come back to the Realm soon. So go on and catch up to your man." With that Keiki dashed off to wear her maternal instincts told her to go.

Chroma
Nuzzling her gratitude, Chroma took off after India. Only later might Keiki's use of 'love of your life' & 'your man' to describe India click in her mind. For now, the meaning had been clear enough as it mirrored the stirrings of her body & emotions.

-Pg. 3123-3124 [Mountain Thread]

India
India sighed, his paws once again taking him up the mountain. Why? he asked himself. The answer was still unclear. Was it to look for Chroma and Kitten, as before? Shaking his head, the dark male focused on his breaths. He still wasn't used to the change in altitude, but that didn't much slow his trek.

Once he finally reached the semi-familiar building, he sighed, though his breath hitched and he coughed uncomfortably. Shaking his head, he quickly darted for the shelter of the inside, feeling he'd been outside pleanty long enough today.

Lucio & Maille
Hearing another kitsu enter, Lucio turned and padded towards the noise. His paws left droplets of moisture on the places he'd stepped. He cocked a head curiously at what he saw; another adult kitsu, but one not at all like his mother. The kitsu was more like some of the others he lived with. Stuck in a solid shape. Very hard. Not so much fun to touch. He noted how unlucky he considered these kitsu to be. He turned his head for reassurance from his mother, who nodded toward him, then tended to her other kits.

"Who're you?"

India
Being still wary of the newer surroundings, India almost snapped at the voice which intruded his thoughts. But he held his tongue, stopping his eyes in their search for his mate and sister long enough to glance at the kit. "India," he muttered, meaning to continue his search, but finding his eyes immediatly stuck on the seemingly glowing portion of fur on the other.

Still, he knew it was rude to stare, even at a kit, and averted his gaze. "And you?" He then questioned, solid-colored tail swinging between its patterned siblings.

Lucio
The small blue kit shrunk back from the adult as he was met with such a cold-sounding reply. Still, nothing could deter the kit's curiousity. "India," he repeated, when he felt safe enough to continue. "'s tha' like the country? M'name's Lucio. Tha's looooo-see-oh." He nodded, confirming the pronunciation of his name. Unfazed by the other's stare, he stared right back.

India
"Like the country," he agreed, shutting his amber eyes and deciding that the two he was looking for weren't here. Chroma would've come running and he would've heard some sort of witty comment from Keiki about some matter or another. Sighing, he opened his eyes only to watch the kit once again. "Lucio, eh?" Loosing his gaze from the young male, he set to eyeing the adult nearby as she tended to another batch of kits. "Your mother?" He couldn't help questioning, his brows furrowing at her questionable solidity.

-Pg. 2595

Chroma
A sad looking kitsu with tails drooping shuffled slowly into the HeadQuarters. Her bright yellow & red fur seemed an odd contrast to her blue mood. Odder still, if anyone knew the usually overly energetic female. A little trickle of tears brushed down the blue markings beneath her eyes. She gazed hopefully around the room. Chroma did not see anyone she recognized... and certainly not the one she was looking for.

With a whimper she slinked to India's usual spot & curled up. Maybe she could pretend he was here...

India
After leaving the company of the forward little kit and his strangely see-through mother (well, he assumed she was, anyway), India padded his way back down the mountain. An annoying thing, seeing as he'd just made his way up not long before. It had been a rather pointless trip, he found himself thinking. He should've merely been patient.

Padding up to the much more familiar building, he sighed, solid-colored tail swishing gently and barely disrupting the others. Upon entering the HQ, he hadn't expected to see the very femme he'd been searching for curled up in the spot he usually occupied. But even from the distance he was still at, he could feel something upsetting. "Chroma?" He called warily, taking a step.

Tarik
Tarik yawned, laying down on the couch. He had spent more time with his rag tag group of family than with with his friends or his love... he wondered if he'd see Nixis anytime soon.

Chroma
A red ear twitched hearing her name. That voice! Was she dreaming? Her head shot up hopefully. "India? India is that you?"

Spotting him a happy sound crescendo-ed from within her. Unwinding herself she sprang to her mate, lavishing him with happy, eager licks & nuzzles as she tried to express all her missing him & longing at once.

India
Despite the fact that he'd missed her dearly, too, the rather large amount of affection flustered him. For having been without her so long, his body had once again grown accustomed to not having any sort of physical contact with another. Pawing lightly at his mate, he flashed a wry grin.

"I missed you," he got out between her affections, only to notice a familiar face not far away. Feeling suddenly more flustered than before, he pulled away slightly. He was almost expecting Keiki to jump out and poke fun at him, just because Tarik was there. "Brother..." He called out, a slight chuckle in his voice as he moved a bit closer to his mate again, regreting moving away.

Chroma
Chroma barely registered that Tarik was near; her senses were completely focused on her mate. "I missed my India! So much did I miss you!"

She snuggled beside him, weaving her tails in his. "You look tired. Sleep with me now?"

Although her tone was pleading she pulled her mate along to "his spot", seeing to his comfort before curling against him. "I've missed sleeping with you..."

-Pg. 3358-3359 [Mountain Thread]

India
India didn't really take the time to ask himself why. This was his third trip up the Mountain, despite the fact that he knew Chroma wasn't there, as he'd just left her side, and he wasn't really looking for Kitten, though he'd be all too happy to see her. Rather, the male took his own actions in stride, wondering idly if his past trips up to the higher alititude HQ had made his normally lazy body better suited to outside and travel.

Once at his stop, he eyed the building warily for just a moment before slipping quietly into the slightly familiar setting. Amber eyes scanned for a moment and he silently pondered picking a spot in the corner for any future trips here.

Ember
Ember lounged on the couch, smiling contently -or sleepily, perhaps...it was hard to tell, with him- and staring off into space. His thoughts were filled with Rhi, for he'd just gotten back from visiting with her and was excited by the prospect of getting to see her again later...twice in one day! And more, he reminded himself, cheerily, for she was going to be staying with him, for awhile. The thought caused a bright smile to light his face, and he closed his eyes to savor the happiness while it lasted...it never lasted long.

India
Coming upon the realization that no spot chosen could possibly rival his existing one within the Realm, even after merely seconds of debate, India sighed. Well, if his subconcious (some excuse) was going to drag him up this, he scoffed, 'large hill' every few days, then he would have to pick a spot eventually. Pulling his gaze from the room's corners, he spotted a familiar face. And surprisingly, he found himself unable to approach right away. Ember looked content. It was a look he only remembered seeing on the day of their first meeting and it hadn't lasted long, for sure. "Ember?" He finally ventured, stepping closer to the other.

Ember
Ember jumped as his name was called, his smile wavering for a moment before steadying. Even a bit of wary surprise wasn't enough to ruin this good mood. "India! Hullo." he greeted him, nodding politely and hopping down from the couch to stand before him, grinning. "How have you been? It's been quite some time since I saw you last..." Much has changed since then, he thought wryly, mostly for the beter, though of course not all.

India
"I've been fine." India smiled lightly, tilting his head and taking a seat. For a second, he harbored childish thoughts. Was this some Ember clone? Or maybe an alien or... He shook his head vigorously, nearly unaware of how foolish the action would seem to anyone else. "You seem cheery." And despite himself, his grin widened. This was the side of the other that he'd wished to see at each of their meetings. Idly, he brought his all black tail to wrap about his paws, looking rather contented, himself.

Ember
Ember quirked a brow as India shook his head so, but dismissed it without too much worry. "Is it that obvious?" he asked with a laugh, his eyes dancing. "I..well, I am cheery. A lot has changed, since I saw you last. You remember Rhian, the one that Remus's little sister commented on about being 'too skinny'...? Well, she's well again, and...Gods, India, she's beautiful." he paused, wondering what to say next, then shrugged, laughing again. Just say it, Ember. "She is...my mate now, and makes me happier than I can remember being, ever."

India
At the news, India found himself somewhat surprised. Okay, quite a bit surprised, but that didn't keep him from being excited for the other. He knew firsthand the joy of having a mate to keep you company. "I haven't seen Rhian since then," he said with a nod. "I'm glad to hear she's well." Standing, he took a step closer and lightly nudged the other male's shoulder. "I'm happy for you!" A smile confirmed his sentiment as his solid-colored tail swayed.

Ember
Ember beamed, moving forward to nuzzle India. He barely even worried about whether it was okay to touch him, he thought in surprise, and stepped back. "You'll have to meet her again..." he mused thoughtfully, "she's really amazing...I'm so lucky to have her." Em's voice softened as he talked about his mate, his heart swelling within his chest. "I love her so much..."

India
India froze momentarily, but relaxed against the nuzzle. He'd gotten rather used to contact and the fact that he held Ember as a friend made it easy enough to feel happy with the action. "Soon, I hope." He said with a little wink, moving to sit again. He somewhat remembered the timid behavior of the female. He wondered if she'd improved in that aspect, as well. "I know what you mean," he then let out thoughtfully. "I feel the same about Chroma." He laughed lightly, looking slightly sheepish then. "I hope Rhian is not upset at Choma's comment back then."

Ember
Ember had forgotten that Chroma was India's mate. He smiled, nodding happily at his agreement with Ember's feelings that he had professed. "In all honesty..." he replied sheepishly in response to India's last comment, "I think I was the one that was more upset by that that Rhi was...though I was upset because I thought it would upset her." He scuffed a paw embaressedly on the floor as he said this, wondering if India would tease him for it.

India
"Like a premonition." India whistled out with some sort of wonder. It didn't occur to him, until he'd really took a second to think, that his mixed up bit of childish reason might not make much sense. This whole meeting had him acting like the child he never really was. Truth be told, he was more kit-ish as an adult than he ever had been as an actual kit, though that wasn't saying too much. "I mean, maybe you felt offended for her because you were meant to be?" He shook his head. "Ah, ignore that." He laughed, nuzzling Ember lightly. It was one of the few displays of affection that he showed to a Kitsu that wasn't his mate or sister.

Chroma
Chroma bounded into the room. She had been hunting high and low for her once friend Yrre... the one who called her the Searcher (thinks that's right). Remus had told her the purple kitsu was missing and everyone had agreed to help. But now she was getting tired. The energetic kitsu was half hoping to run into India. More than half hoping: all of her tingled with hoping.

India
India yawned, rolling to his side. The floor was cool, even against his fur, but he paid it no mind. His thoughts wandered to other things, which he promptly swished away with a swing of his black tail. Sleep had come difficult just the night before. He wished wholeheartedly that he wouldn't end up with insomnia again. But before he had longer to muse, he felt a vibration along his body as someone moved across the floor. Yawning once more, he curled up, unwilling to rise until he knew the company would be pleasurable.

Chroma
Recognizing her mate's yawn long before she saw him Chroma turned & raced to nuzzle affectionately into his side. "India!" Her pounce was surprisingly gentle, if it could even be called a pounce. She wiggled until she was pleased that they were snuggled together comfortably. "I've missed you India!" Chroma adds, licking lightly at the underside of his jaw.

India
With his groggy, still half-tired movements, India didn't even have the chance to shift for his mate before she was snuggled at his side. And just as he'd begun to relax again, her licks caused him to whine like a kit and shake his head, nuzzling into her fur for an escape. "I missed you, too," he mumbled, grinning lightly as he pressed closer to her form, though the smile wasn't visible. "I just can't sleep without you." He joked, or at least partially joked, for sometimes it seemed long times without her caused him insomnia.

Chroma
"My India cannot sleep without me?" Her usually carefree voice filled with concern. She nuzzled his neck tenderly. "Then I'll meet you here every night to sleep!"

Nodding to herself at her solution to the dilema Chroma presses closely to her mate.

India
"Sounds good." With that, India began to shift, flipping to his back, while still pressed up to his mate, and looking rather foolish in the process. Though, as long as it was only Chroma that could see him, he didn't much care. Sighing as he finally made it to his back, he ran his paws lazily in the air for a moment before pulling them back to his form.

Chroma
Giggling, Chroma flipped two of her tails lightly over India's exposed belly. The third she wrapped around his pure black tail. "And if we're sleeping all the time, we will be very close ll the time & maybe the bunny will bring us eggs like Ember & Rhian!"

India
Chroma's talk of a bunny bringing their eggs never failed to make India feel uncomfortable, if only slightly. Taking a moment to slide his solid-colored tail against hers, he sighed. There was no real was he could explain that sleeping together and sleeping together to have kits were two completely different things, at least not to his mate. Pawing gently at the tails across his belly, he resigned himself to the game. He feared soon he would have to somehow explain where eggs really came from. "Of course," he slipped on a grin, tilting his head back to see her more clearly.

Chroma
She giggled happily at him, continuing to graze her tails over his belly but lifting them slightly so that they only just touched & yanking them away as India's batting paws touched them. "It's the closeness awake that counts, isn't it, 'ndia? The closeness-game that makes us sleepy & gives us silly faces?"

Rubbing against his side Chroma began to purr as she snuggled. She stretched a little & nipped lightly at his ear. "Do you know the closeness-game?"

India
India stopped batting at her tails as soon as he felt the tickle sensation. Stucking in his stomach, he wriggled slightly in an attempt to get away from the gentle touch that would certainly spell a sort of doom for the overly ticklish Kitsu. He was all but focused on her tails and keeping them away and he almost missed her next words. But he hadn't. Coughing suddenly, he turned his head to her, burrying his face and muzzle in her fur to keep from saying something stupid. "Yeah... Yeah, I suppose so," he answered evasively.

Chroma
Chroma squeaked with delight. "oh! Then my India will show me this game, won't you?"

Her tails lay flat against his belly, embracing him in their fashion. She licked the top of his head near the ear. "I love new games!"

India
Okay, so maybe he hadn't quite been expecting her to ask something like that. Shifting, he pulled his gaze from her fur long enough to glance around the room, looking for something to perhaps change the subject with. But he found nothing other than the usual and certainly nothing of great intrest. Turning back to nuzzle into her fur again, he sighed. "Yeah... later, okay?" He answered and questioned, sounding as nonchalant as possible.

Chroma
"Okay 'ndia. I'm pretty tired for a game anyway." She nuzzled happily between his ears. Her tails started to sweep very slowly across India's belly once again. "And you need your sleep, my India." Her voice sounded drowsy. "We can sleep... and get something to eat first. And find someplace all our own. Remy & Nari always go off alone before he comes home with silly faces. I don't think they've called for the bunny yet though."

Chroma was nearly asleep, her breath soft & relaxed, her purr gentle & low. She sighed happily against her mate.

India
India let her words sink in as he too relaxed. Well, at least she'd been satisfied for now and seemed willing to let him sleep without a game. Not that he wasn't good at getting her to sleep, even without a game. He grinned, though it was cut short by a yawn. "Deal then," he muttered sleepily, nuzzling against his mate more and yawning once more. It wasn't long before he was asleep, luckily with no trouble at all.

Chroma
The female's eyes drooped shut, feeling her mate relax beside her. "Deal." She agreed with her own yawn. Chroma smiled sleepily, knowing that soon they would play this new game. Like when he said they could tickle-fight later. With her mate asleep beside her it did not take Chroma long to join him in slumber.

India & Nadeshiko
India's tails flicked lightly at the ground as he stepped through the HQ door. He'd been outside all day, babysitting his new charge. Another, he pondered wearily, that he'd had no interest in watching. Nadeshiko, on the other hand, was thrilled with her new life already. She slipped excitedly around the HQ, sniffing at everything her nose could reach and scanning the air for things it couldn't. When she wandered behind the couch and out of sight, he sighed, calling out. "Don't wander away." He'd been doing that all day, too.

Chroma
Chroma had been running around everywhere all day, searching for India full of more energy than she knew what to do with. Even before she reached the HQ she had caught his scent -and that of someone she did not know- & bounded after it excitedly. She practically exploded into the shop. "India! India India!"

The female attacked her mate in jubilation. "India! Guess what? You'll never guess!"

India & Nadeshiko
Unexpectant and barely warned by the shouting, India was almost tackled to the ground. But he did his best to keep his footing, his new charge slipping momentarily from his thoughts as he nuzzled up to his mate, glad for a little change of pace.

However, another was not so glad. Nadeshiko peeked out from behind the couch, wondering why India had given up calling her so soon. And when she spotted the other, cyan eyes narrowed. "Mine!" She yelled, charging out and heading straight from Chroma, despite the fact that the male's form came first and she ended up colliding with him, instead.

With the weight of two females pressed at his sides, India's knees buckled slightly. Still, that didn't stop the purple femme. "Mine!" She said again stubbornly.

Chroma
The primary hued female was too happy with seeing her mate & the news she had to be upset at the other kitsu. She was plenty confused however. Shouting 'mine' was not usually a form of play she liked. Sharing was more fun! Besides... she & India were 'each others'!! Maybe this female did not know that?

More importantly, India was hurting! Quickly, Chroma ceased pressing into him & instead tried to brace him or take the impact. She whined, bright blue eyes full of worry. "Stop! You're hurting him!"

India & Nadeshiko
"NO!" Nadeshiko protested, not seeming to understand what hurt meant at all. Instead, she pushed past him, nearly knocking him off his feet again. He'd been lucky with balance so far. "Mine! Go away, Shiny!" Cyan eyes narrowed once again, betraying the simple and childish words. She stood between India and Chroma, while the male was unsure of what to do. She hadn't acted like this before...

"Stop it, Nadeshiko." He said sternly, hating the feeling of talking to a full grown child. But she made no move to remedy her actions, still remaining firm between the other two.

Chroma
She sat on her rump, staring in bafflement at the one her India called 'Nadeshiko'. Shaking her head, Chroma figured she must have started out wrong. She flashed a smile at the other female. "Hi! I'm Chroma! Did you wanna play? 'cause you shouldn't play so rough. Someone could get hurt!"

Speaking of hurt, she tilted her head at her mate & checked him over. "You're not hurt, are you 'ndia?"

India & Nadeshiko
At the word play, Nadeshiko was thrown off. "Play?" She seemed to ponder over the aspect for a moment before shaking her head and reverting to defensive mode. "No play!"

India sighed, finally just moving from behind the purple femme and taking a place at Chroma's side. "I'm fine," he assured, nudging her shoulder affectionately. Nadeshiko's eyes widened. "NO PLAY!" She shouted, stomping a paw. Whether or not she actually knew anything about playing or games was left to chance. All she knew was that someone new always meant bad. Except for India... Her mind worked double pace to keep up with the thoughts.

Chroma
The perky female blinked. No play?

She momentarily forgot about it in her relief that India was well & in being close to her mate once more. He would play with her... India had said so. The new game. She started to purr but was rudely shaken out of her thoughts by the purple female.

For the first time in her life Chroma growled, her eyes narrowing. "That's not called for! India & I are 'each others'! Either play nice or go away! I wanna tell him the good news!"

India and Nadeshiko
India blinked unblievingly at Chroma. Had she just growled? And while he felt inclined to allow his mate to tell the other to go away, he knew he couldn't let her leave yet. She still had a lot to learn about the HQ before he'd let her alone. Manners, most of all.

Warily watching each female, he was glad, though he'd never admit, that Nadeshiko chose not to growl in return. Rather, she huffed, dropping her stern gaze. For now, it seemed too much negative stimulation had sent her into overload and she'd returned to her normal state.

"Why go 'way?" She asked in a mumble, shifting from paw to paw. "No want go 'way now, Shiny."

Chroma
At the other's change Chroma backed down, shaking her head. "Aw... you don't have to go ... Na-de-shi-ko, did India call you?"

Watching her move, Chroma would hardly believe this was the same kitsu. "I don't mind you if you're not being mean." She smiled. "You can her the news too!"

Beaming she turned to her mate. "You didn't guess, but that's okay! I'll tell you anyway!" Chroma squirmed from nose to tails, watching India's reaction but wanting to snuggle against him at the same time. "Remy & Nari are parents!! The bunny got their signal & brought them eggs! Four of them!!!"

Her tails flipped happily behind her. It was almost as good of news as if she had gotten the eggs.

India & Nadeshiko
At the news, India was genuinely surprised. He tilted his head for a second, musing over the thought of Remus with four kits. And Nari... he thought he'd seen her once before. However, he found his mind straying to another aspect of the news. He began to wonder if it was even possible to wean Chroma of her bunny threory.

"What egg-es. Why?" Nadeshiko's voice brought the male back from his thoughts. He smiled at his mate, nuzzling her gently. "So, that makes me an uncle.... again." He found himself mulling over his extended family until he recalled the purple femme's question. "Kitsu come from eggs," he stated simply, earning him a slightly confused look.

Chroma
She purred at the nuzzle, scooting closer & nuzzling him in return. "Mmmm... yes. But you should be a daddy." Chroma wover her tails with India's. "When are you going to play that game with me, my India?"

India & Nadeshiko
"Soon..." He mumbled, hoping that would be enough for now. He could see Nadeshiko's movements become antsier out of the corner of his eye. He sighed internally. It looked like it'd be difficult to get much alone time with Chroma now that he had her to watch. "But for now I have to go." It was hard. He nuzzled into her fur, wanting to stay and fall asleep in the corner with her like he always did.

Pulling back, he grinned lightly at his mate before turning to the purple femme, who looked all too happy at the moment to be leaving. With a final affection towards Chroma, a lick on the cheek, he led his charge out of the HQ.

Chroma
"Always soon..." She pouted even as she purred beside her mate.

The purr halted abruptly when India had to leave, taking the odd female with him. She never got to go with him. Her mate's departing display of affection mollified her a little... but not nearly enough. Chroma murr'ed unhappily, tails lying limp on the floor & bright blue eyes filled with disappointment. She whimpered her goodbye.

Sniffling, Chroma slunk to his spot, trying to curl up & rest. But it was not comfortable with out him. Odd thoughts troubled her. Maybe she's a sister? Her chest ached & Chroma did not notice the bitter sting of tears in her eyes. The cheerful kitsu had no previous experience with jealosy. That pitted with the loneliness of wanting to be with India was unbearable. Eyes red with the burning of hot tears, Chroma fell into a troubled sleep.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko slipped through the door, nose to the ground, ever curious. All three tails whipped with excitment, stirring dust as they swept across the floor. Every once in a while, her eyes would leave the floor and dart around expectantly, though what exactly she was looking for was left to chance.

Crow
The painted kitsu yawned and peered over his perch; a rafter in the HQ. He rolled off the rafter and using his wings to slow his decent landed rather softly, pretty much right infront of Nadeshiko. His face was always in a grin, but he still grinned beneath it "Hello there" he said in a somewhat rough voice.

Nadeshiko
Caught up in her sniffing once again, Nadeshiko nearly ran into her new company. Startling, she jumped back, casting a nervous glance to India. He was no longer watching. Looking upset, she returned her attention to Crow, eyes following the forms of his wings with new interest. "Hello..." she murmured softly, mind searching for more words, but coming up empty.

Crow
Crow chuckled softly, and flicked his tails, tilting his head to his side "I dont believe we've met, I'm Crow" He said with an extravegant bow, he smiled. "And who might you be?" he asked sitting down, his tails wrapping around his back legs, his wings folded against his back, he almost appeared to blend in with the shadows, his white face the only thing giving his presence away.

Nadeshiko
With India, Nadeshiko didn't feel so inadequate when she couldn't come up with as many words as he could. She hadn't felt that way with Chroma, either, but she'd been mad then. Now she was beginning to feel the stresses of a slow mind. "Nadeshiko," she answered, cyan eyes narrowing curiously at the disappearance of the wings. "Where'd feathers go?"

Crow
Crow smiled, he had the sense this wasnt an ordinary kitsu. With a nod more to himself then to Nadeshiko. He unfolded his wing, and smiled brightly "Right here" he said with a chuckle. He took a few steps out of the shadows, so he wasnt so hidden. The sun shining in from the window reflected on jet black feathers, making his fur shine. He smiled softly.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko seemed fascinated with watching the wing unfold and catch the sun's rays just right. And more so was she amused by the shining of his fur. "Shiny..." She muttered lightly, the same thing she called Chroma just a night or two ago. But this one was different. He was really shining, not just bright in color. Moving a bit, she tried to catch the sun, too, but failed. Her dark fur merely soaked up the light, leaving her as dark as before. Pouting, she huffed. "No shiny."

Crow
Crow smiled, and folded his wings against his back again. He smiled at her once more "You shine on the inside" He nodded. His tails flickered, showing a bit of his ancy spirit. "what do you do for fun?" he asked with a mischieveous grin, showing off his other side.

Nadeshiko
"Inside." Nadeshiko mimicked with a nod and a grin, happy that she shined, too. And as if she were stuck in mirror mode, she too flicked her tails, watching him intently for any little movements. "Search." She answered, though her eyes never left him to search at all. "Smell. An' India friend." She nodded off to where India still sat.

Crow
Crow chuckled and nodded "Would you like to go outside?" he asked with a tilt of his head. He had the feeling he was standing infront of a mirror. He didnt mind, he enjoyed meeting new kitsu's. "you know, your very pretty" he said with a nod and a smile.

Nadeshiko
"Outside!" She perked up immediately. "We go outside!" She called back to India, not much caring, for once, if he heard or not. Jumping up, she gently shook out her coat and was all but prepared to leap out the door, until he spoke again. "Pretty?" She questioned, returning her gaze to Crow once more. "Pretty?"

Crow
Crow chuckled and followed her, prancing even, which was rare for her. "yes outside, and yes, your pretty" he tilted his head "you've never been called pretty?" he asked softly, as he led the way outside, waiting for her to follow.

Nadeshiko
After a while of thought, Nadeshiko finally began to follow. "No." She answered, staring at her paws for a moment. Well, she'd never really thought about herself as pretty. Truthfully, she hadn't much thought about herself at all, save for the shiny bit of there conversation not long ago. She was always on the lookout for someone else, something else. "Never pretty."

Crow
Crow smiled softly and gently nudged her "Well, you are pretty, dont let anyone tell you otherwise" he said with a firm nod. He was so sure of himself his confidence was astounding. "Do you have a large family?" he asked once they finally reached outside. Once more he shone in the light, for a while he seemed to be pure white, which was odd given his color.

Nadeshiko
For a long while, Nadeshiko was distracted by the touch and then the bright shining of the fur, but she was able to shake herself out of it. "No." She shook her head wildly. "India only." Said male had begun to teach her manners just before and she'd done her best to remember them. He'd told her to ask about others... Was that it? "You large family?" She then asked, scrunching her nose and wondering if she'd done it right.

Crow
Crow smiled softly and nodded "Sadly yes. Never a moments rest in my house" he laughed and swiped at the ground, when he lifted his paw for her to see, there was a flower between his claws. He grinned and held it out to her "for you" he said with a nod.

Nadeshiko
"Never rest?" She questioned, tilting her head and trying to understand why lots of Kitsu would mean no rest. However, she didn't have to think long, as she was immediately distracted by the flower. Blinking at it, she smiled. "Mine?" India had told her what to say. What was it? "Th... Thanking to you." She tried. It seemed right. She leaned forward and took it in her mouth, situating it so it was sticking out of her chest fluff and she wouldn't lose it.

Crow
He smiled and nodded "your most welcome" he said with a light laugh "You deserve flowers" he wasnt quiet sure why he said that, it just kind of spilled out of his mouth. "India is like your brother?" he asked with a tilt of his head.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko smiled happily, tails twitching with childish excitement. Her brain buzzed for more words, but, as before, she was stuck without much to say. "Like brother. Only family." She nodded, looking at the flower from the corner of her eye. "But India not say deserve flowers." She looked a little forlorn, cyan eyes narrowing. "Why?"

Crow
Crow tilted his head to the other side, curious about her responce "Why doesnt Nadeshiko deserve flowers. Your nice, i havent seen you harm another, and it makes you happy. To me that is reason enough." He said with a light shrug of his shoulders.

Nadeshiko
"Nice?" Eyes narrowed further as they moved to stare at the ground. Vaguely, she could remember India tell her that she'd been not nice. Why? She couldn't remember that part. But she wanted to be nice, so she smiled. "Nice." She confirmed, nodding, not knowing that complimenting yourself could be considered vain. "Crow nice also." She smiled. "Give pretty flower."

India
Not far behind followed India. The last few days had been eventful, to say the least, but he was tired. His charge had kept him from sleeping much. She definitely wasn't a sleeper, like him. Yawning, he watched her go on her merry way about the HQ. He wasn't about to try keeping up with her. Instead, he slunk over to the wall, leaning lightly against it as he kept a lazy eye on her.

Ember
Ember's ears perked as India and Nadeshiko entered, though he didn't recognise the purple kitsu. Shrugging the sleepy Aria onto his shoulders, he carefully made his way over to his friend, beaming proudly and nodding his head in greeting. "H'lo, India.." he murmured, keeping quietly so as not to wake his daughter.

India
If anything, India was grateful for the excuse to remove his attention from Nadeshiko. Glancing idly at the sleeping form on the other's back, he took into account the softened voice and his mind was able to keep his own voice equal. "Hey, Ember." He couldn't resist another look at the kit. He remembered Ember telling him about the eggs. He decided this must be one. Grinning lightly, he canted his head, indicating Aria. "Yours?" He asked simply.

Ember
"Mine.." Ember agreed proudly, ducking his head a bit so that India could better see the kit. "This is my daughter, Aria...isn't she beautiful?" he asked, realizing he was gushing but not really caring. He was beaming so much that his cheeks hurt, and he could hardly keep his voice down as he showed off his daughter to India.

India
Unable to hold it back, India's smile also widened. It seemed admiration was contageous as he stared at the kit. "She is." Stepping a little closer, he took the given opportunity to get a better look. "And she looks like you." He chuckled quietly, eyes scanning the tan fur.

Ember
Ember managed not to whisk her away in overprotectiveness, but only barely as India drew closer. "And like her mother..." he agreed, smiling as the kit stirred and blinked up at India with a small squeak. "I..I'm a bit scared, being a father and all..but it'll be fine. She's an angel, really."

India
Unable to resist, India spoke up. "Well, I can help you with her, if you need..." He felt rather silly saying something like that. Shaking his head lightly, he laughed. "And hello to you," he said, backing off slightly and returning his gaze to the kit. He smiled his best comfort smile, remembering what it was like to be a kit and just waking up from a nap. "I'm India." Uncharacteristically, he wondered what she would think of him. Normally, he didn't much care.

Ember
"I appreciate that, I r-really do." Ember replied, grinning. "I..I'm not willing to give up on spending time with Rhi, just because we have kits now..." he blushed a bitm ducking his head. "But I don't think we'll be asking anybody else to watch them, not yet. They're too young...and we're too new at being parents." He grinned as Aria squeaked back at India, blinking and getting to her feet to sniff at him.

India
"I understand." India chuckled lightly, moving closer once more to allow the kit to sniff him. "I've never been a parent, myself, but I have parents, so I kinda know how it goes." Blinking at Aria, he grinned. "She is a cute one, though." Deep down, it made him want to be a parent, too, but unless he could wean Chroma of her bunny theory without too much embarassment, it didn't seem it would happen.

Ember
"She is, isn't she?" Ember asked, beaming and bending down so that Aria could hop off of his back. "I hear that maybe someday soon you and Chroma are going to be parents..." he mused, almost slyly, "If she ever figures out how it works...h-having kits, that is." Goodness, he hoped India knew how it worked so he wouldn't have to explain.

Aria
Aria tumbled down off of her father's shoulder, trotting over on unsteady legs to sniff some more at the unknown kitsu. He and her father were making strange sounds, and she vaguely wondered what they were doing.

India
At Ember's words, India chuckled, a slightly nervous ring to the sound. "Tell me about it..." He almost whispered, ducking his head to the kit and gently nosing her on the head. "I'm afraid to try and talk to her about it." He wasn't the best of conversationalists to begin with. "But... I almost hope I won't have to..." He shook his head, willing another chuckle.

Ember
"Just get her in the mood, huh..?" Ember said without thinking, and then blushed brightly, ducking his head so his hair fell in front of his eyes. "S-s...sorry..." he mumbled, "That wasn't...m-my place to say..." Idiot, he thought, idiot. THINK before you say something!

India
As realization of the other's words hit, India snorted, bending back down to Aria again. "It's okay..." He almost laughed. He had to try hard not to. Really, for all his worrying about it, it was good to hear such a simple side, despite how rude it may've sounded. "But, I guess you're right." He laughed, lifting his head from the kit's and looking, with laughing eyes, at his friend.

Ember
Ember was still horrified at what he'd said, and kept quiet for awhile. One shouldn't go around saying things like that- they just shouldn't, even to their friends. It wasn't polite. "I...I guess then she'd know where eggs came from, huh..?" he finally asked, sheepishly peering out from behind his hair.

Aria
Aria scowled. Father's friend was ignoring her, so she keened loudly, hopping up to bat at him. Adults were so weird. Didn't they know that was what she was here for? To be paid attention to?

India
"I suppose she would," he responded with a laugh, nudging Ember's shoulder lightly. After all, despite being used to his friend's shyness, he still wanted him to be more comfortable. However, it seemed the comforting would have to be cut short as the kit's sounds met his ear, causing it to twitch slightly. "Oh, I'm sorry." He looked down to Aria, tilting his head and smiling. "Was I ignoring you?" When he had been a kit, he liked being alone, but he supposed this one was different.

Ember
Ember grinned a bit as India nudged him, and then some more as his kit demanded attention from him. "Shush, Ari.." he scolded affectionatly, nuzzling her. "Sorry..." he commented to India, though he didn't sound sorry in the least. "She likes being the center of attention, it seems."

Aria
Well, that was better. Attention, smilings, and nuzzles. She smiled sweetly back at India, then headbutted him.

India
"No need." India said with a laugh, shaking off the headbutt. Blinking a few times, he grinned playfully down at the kit, tilting his head. "So, you like to play, huh?" He questioned. Well, he supposed he might be up for a little game, despite his lack of sleep. He "attacked" Aria's ear, careful not to use teeth.

Chroma
Except for the color, the kitsu that walks through the door looks nothing like Chroma. Her tails are drooped and slightly matted. It looks as if someone tried to run a brush over her before she left home, but the long trip to headquarters dragged upon the ground undid much of that effort where her tails were concerned. The red tips of her ears blended with her red ruff collar making them seem short And her bright blue eyes were dull & red rimmed from crying. She did not run. She did not even walk. She slunk.

Catching her mate's scent Chroma's heart skipped a beat & a glimmer of hope touched her eyes. Was he talking to Remy's Ember? And a small Ember-Rhian looking kit... their kit! Eyes widening, Chroma trotted over -automatically nuzzling her mate while staring in silent wonder at Ember's kit. "Why, hello there."

Ember
Ember blinked as Chroma came up to them, smiling happily as she nuzzled India. He'd been a bit alarmed when India began to 'play' with his kit, even taking a step forward, frowning, but relaxed when Aria shrieked with delight.

Aria
Oh, this adult was FUN! As he play-attacked, she let out a battlecry and flung herself at him. As another kitsu cae up and nuzzled him, however, she smiled regally at her, squeaking her hello, and then plopped in front of her, noisily demanding snuggles.

India
India laughed, taking the play-attacks in stride. He'd seen Ember's nervousness at the game and flashed him an "it's okay" look. That, coupled with the kit's happiness, seemed to quell the other adult. And just as he was about to "attack" again, he felt his mate's nuzzle. Happy with kit-like energy, he turned to her, only to feel it all drain with just one look. "Chroma..." He voice was low. "What's wrong?" He could tell right away that she wasn't herself. Had he done something wrong? He frowned.

Chroma
"I don't know. I... I just... missed you." Ducking her head, she attempted to play with the kit. Normally, this would be an easy thing for her... but today her heart was not in it. Lifting her head again she gave Ember a strained smile. "She's lovely. Remy will be so happy for you. I'm happy for you." A pause as she blows playfully on the little kit. "He sends his love, as always."

She nuzzles India again, her heart confused & nudges him to look back to the kit. "I stopped your playing... It's good to see you playing. Games are good." Chroma choked a little on the last. What was wrong with her? India was here... she should be fine! Valliantly, she tried to smile & flick her tails. It almost worked.

Ember
"Chroma..!" Ember exclaimed in surprise, blinking at the normally vibrant mate of India. "What's wrong..?" he asked worriedly, frowning a bit. "Did something happen...?" He was a bit awkward...he didn't really know Chroma, nothing past her being India's mate and Remus's little sister.

Aria
Aria squealed in delight as the new kitsu played with her- she didn't notice the half-heartedness, she was just glad to have somebody to play with, since Father's friend seemed to have stopped.

India
So, it wasn't just him who saw it. Hearing Ember added more reality. Amber eyes narrowing with worry, he nudged his mate's shoulder. "Please," he said, nuzzling at her fur. "I know something's wrong." For once he felt like crying. He hated to see his normally bright and happy lover this way. "You can tell me anything, you know that." For a second, he couldn't help but glance at Ember, wondering if the other male had any idea what was going on.

Chroma
"I know, My India. And I'd say if I understood." Sitting, Chroma wrapped her tails around her & flicked the ends for the kit to play with. "When you left with Na-de-shi-ko..." She still had to sound it out carefully. "I don't know... it's like.... like something broke in me."

She lifted her blue eyes to India's, a film of moisture clinging to them but not falling. "I.. I wanted to go with you..."

Ember
Ember coughed discreetly, scooping his kit back up and backing off a ways so that Chroma and India could talk, ignoring Aria's protests at being grabbed mid-pounce. A silly grin came over his face as he heard a familiar yip, and he turned to see his mate, yipping back happily. "Rhi...!" he cried, before his eyes set on the kit that was romping about...and then he froze, his eyes widening. "Rhi...is...is that...?"

India
Seeing Ember backing off, India sighed internally. Turning back to his mate, he was surprised to see the unfallen tears and hear her saddened voice. He tried to smile, though it came out rather strangely. "I didn't mean to upset you," he assured, voice low, as he couldn't seem to pick it up. "Nadeshiko is only a sister, I promise." He remembered how she'd become overly defensive. He'd talked to her about it that night. Sighing, outloud this time, he thought to explain.

"You see..." He searched for the right words. "She has a... mental disorder." The male didn't like saying it like that. "She just had a hard time understanding what was going on." Shaking his head, he nuzzled his mate lightly. "She's nice, you'll see." He tried to smile again. "And... you can come with me this time... If you want." He was ready to go. "Okay?" He looked rather hopeful as he rubbed against her more firmly this time and turned to go.

Chroma
Her eyes lit up & her energy seemed to return almost instantaneously. "She is? I can? Oh, 'ndia!"

Making happy noises Chroma bounced after him & rubbed along India's side joyfully. "Of course I want! Trel says I may stay with you whenever she is gone if I am welcome!" She seemed to completely miss the part about the mental disorder. "I will like Nadeshiko! I will see!"

Her tails lifting happily Chroma prances beside her mate. Then she tilts her head as if noticing something for the first time. "Ugh. India... I need a bath."

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko slipped into the HQ, tails swishing wildly and nose to the floor. Today, she was without India's watchful eye. He'd trusted her alone, however, she really hadn't paid much heed to his warnings to behave before she left. Prancing a bit, she remembered something and looked to the ceiling. Cyan eyes scanned, but found nothing, so she called out instead. "Crow!" Her voice sounded expectant.

Crow
Crow was lazing about on his rafter, and cracked an eye open when he heard his name called. A smile spread over his face as he recognized who beckoned him. He dropped down from his rafter, hanging upside down infront of Nadeshiko, he managed a bow being upside down, and smiled once more "Hello Nadeshiko, its good to see you again" He said with a light chuckle, as he let go his grip and fell gracefully to the floor, his wings folding against his back in their usual manner.

Nadeshiko
Obviously, the femme was more than impressed by his tricks. Bouncing in place for a moment or two, she giggled. "Hi Crow." Watching his wings fold back, she squinted, trying to remember where they'd gone as he'd shown her before. "Wish I fly also," she said, still examining his back with a gaze that was, if not less curious than before, a bit more understanding. "How get feathers?" Maybe she could fly, too! If only there were a way to grow wings.

Crow
Crow smiled softly, his eyes drifted to the floor. "I dont remember..." he looked up at her again, and smiled quickly, shaking out of his repreive. "I wish i knew, so i could tell you" he nodded, but didnt want to get her hopes up. He honestly didnt remember what happened before he ended up in this form, it was all a blur that returned in bits and pieces. Changing the subject he asked "How are you today Nadeshiko?" his wings fluttered a bit, readjusting before settling against his back once more.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko pondered over his words for a moment. She didn't quite understand how he couldn't know. How else could they be there? She was unable to realize that there may've been a deeper reason for his answer. However, her one track mind latched onto the next subject as soon as it was changed. "Good." She smiled, tails flicking to life. "India trust alone." Sitting back to her haunches, she canted her head. "How Crow?"

Crow
Crow smiled and nodded his head "Its wonderful India trusts you alone now" He said chuckling lightly, he stretched out his limbs, shaking some of the verious debris out of his soft coat. "I'm doing fabulous" He chuckled, his tails wagging. A large crow perched nearby cawed loudly, before taking to the skies and soaring around in circles overhead, watching over them. Crow chuckled at the antics of the bird, but paid it little attention.

Nadeshiko
"Glad." Nadeshiko stated happily, her own tails picking up to mimic his; a game she'd played last time they met, as well. Of course, her attention was all but grabbed away by the nearby crow. Swinging her head around to gawk at the bird, she hopped a time or two. "Crow like Crow!" She shouted, turning back to the other, only to realize all over again that he had white on his face. "But bird no have white like Crow."

Crow
Crow chuckled once more, his light brown eyes lifted briefly, to note the crow, he smiled at Nadeshiko " No he doesnt does he?" he asked with a light laugh "My white face is a symbol to my commitment" He said with a firm nod, his tail wagging picked up pace, noting she mimiced his almost every move. ))

Nadeshiko
As expected, Nadeshiko's tails swished faster as soon as his did. She seemed rather concentrated in making sure they were in time. "What is commitment?" The femme's eyes flicked from his tails to his face, scanning the white mask and all the while wondering at the big, new word.

Crow
Crow tilted his head to the side, trying to find the right words to describe Commitment to Nadeshiko "Its kindof like, when you make a vow or a promise. Sometimes a commitment is something unspoken, but you know its there" He nodded and smiled gently "Its like India, you and he are not related by blood, but he still looks out for you. He has made a commitment to himself to make sure you stay safe" He nodded again and chuckled lightly, that was as best as he could do without getting a dictionary.

Nadeshiko
Cyan eyes brightened. Nadeshiko knew promise! But she kept her excitment in until he'd finished. Commitment sounded a little different than promise. India had never said he'd take care of her, he just had. So Crow was right about India making a commitment. And the femme could honestly say she felt good about herself in being able to understand the explaination. "Crow make commitment to what?" She questioned, wanting to be smart and understand more now.

Crow
Crow smiled, seeing her eyes light up warmed him, made his commitment worth it. "A commitment to protecting others, and punishing those who hurt the innocent" He said softly, ears folding back as he shoo'd a memory away. It was a flash of his life before now, he'd been a father, and that pained him greatly, but he kept that pain to himself, not wanting to alarm Nadeshiko.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko understood the protecting part, other than that, it didn't stick well, but her look didn't dull a bit. "Like India protect Nadeshiko!" She said happily, wanting to show she followed along. And she watched him intently for signs that he was proud of her. She noted his ears, but just because she was observant about physical movements, didn't mean she knew what they meant. Had she known Crow was hurting, she wouldn't look so happy while her own ears slid back in her mirror game.

Crow
Crow smiled and nodded "yes, like India protects you" his wings fluttered and settled once more on his back. His ears stood straight facing Nadeshiko as he chuckled again "You catch on quiet quickly" He said with a large smile. Once more he picked at a flower on the ground, and handed it to her with a smirk.

Nadeshiko
Glad that she'd had her praise, Nadeshiko's tails picked up and she failed the mirror game. But she didn't seem to care at the moment, especially not when he gave her another flower. India had told her to put the other one in water. It'd lasted a couple days before beginning to wilt. Happily taking the gift, she wiggled it into her fluff, as before. "Thanking to you!" She grinned happily up at the male, one little fang poking through.

Crow
Crow chuckled and bowed extravagently "Your most welcome dear Nadeshiko" He laughed. Knowing kitsu's like Nadeshiko, made his commitment worth it, he would go out of his way to protect her, just as he would for a stranger. She just seemed to personify innocence and childlike curiosity. "You deserve flowers, so flowers you shall have!" He chuckled again, nodding.

Nadeshiko
Her inability to control her excitement was obvious. Bouncing up a down, she nuzzled against Crow's shoulder. India had let her nuzzle him a lot, and she was beginning to understand that it was okay for Chroma to nuzzle him, too. And so, Nadeshiko-logic stated that nuzzling Crow was allow, too, because Crow was Nadeshiko's friend. Having run that through her head, she nodded swiftly to herself.

Crow
Crow chuckled and licked Nadeshiko's ear, smiling. "would Nadeshiko like to go for a walk?" He asked with a grin, standing up and fluttering his wings, stretching his muscles. Crow didnt mind the nuzzle from Nadeshiko, he considered her a friend, and didnt have any misconceptions about the intention of it. "Silly Nadeshiko" he said with a laugh

Nadeshiko
"Nadeshiko is no silly," she said, huffing, but obviously unaffected. Without really answering his question, she started off on the walk, looking back to make him follow. "Crow is silly." Idly, she flicked her ears, the one still feeling different because of the lick. And she found herself overly concentrating on that one ear. It was kind of like when she got baths. Canting her head in thought, she nearly tripped over a rock.

Crow
Crow laughed and lept through the air gracefully, landing beside her "I may be silly, but i have a perfectly good reason for being so" He said sticking his tongue out at her, smiling and prancing, his wings settling in on his back as they always do when he walked.

Nadeshiko
Having successfully manuvered around the rock, Nadeshiko came back to his side. "What good reason to be?" She looked unbelieving at him, cyan eyes narrowed playfully, and nose almost pointed directly at him in a sort of accusation. "Nadeshiko have no reason be silly." By now, she'd forgotten about defending herself against the little tease and only remembered that she'd been called silly in the first place.

Crow
Crow chuckled again and puffed up proudly, a sly grin taking over his maw "My reason you ask?" He grinned again "Well my lady, i'm silly, because i want to be!" He laughed and did a twirl on his hind legs, laughing and smiling. He was indeed being a silly Crow.

India
India yawned as he entered the HQ, wondering idly if he'd see Nadeshiko. She wasn't here... but he tried not to worry. Hopefully she was with someone. Yawning once more, he glanced over to his usual spot, debated going over, but shook his head against the idea. He'd left Chroma asleep at home, and his spot was really their spot. It wasn't the same without her. Sighing, he plopped down where he stood, black tail swishing to cover his paws.

Ember
Ember slunk inside, his ears low. He felt as though he were moving through a fog- muddled from lack of sleep, for the memories attacked him now whenever he closed his eyes out of the comforting presence of his mate or kits. Was he even truly awake? He wasn't sure, anymore. All that he knew was that he was tired- so very tired, but had to stay awake.

He'd been staring off into space as he though, he realized, reeling backwards as he snapped back into the present. He forced himself to look around the room, smiling grimly as he spotted India. If nothing else, being nervous would keep him concious...and he still worried that India would be angry with him again, each time he met the kitsu. But for now, worry was a positive thing. He started over to him, then, with a low chirp of greeting.

India
Eyes half closed and ears slid back against his skull, India wasn't exactly expecting company. His form stiffened at the sound, but he relaxed considerably at the familiar scent that accompanied it. "Hey, Ember," he greeted before even opening his eyes. But once he did, a curious brow raised. "You look kinda tired. You okay?" Normally, he wouldn't connect looking tired with not feeling alright, but with Ember, it was rather probable.

Chroma
Chroma had woken up to find her mate gone. That was okay, she supposed, but she already missed him. Smiling to herself she followed his scent out, only keeping it in her nostrils when she found that it seemed to lead to HQ. Trotting happily she peeked through the door. There was India, with Remy's friend Ember. She did not think Ember was still mad at her from that long time before, but it did make her cautios around him. He had let her play with his new kit, however. That was nice. Smiling, Chroma trotted over to the two not really wanting to interupt but not wanting to be rude & not say hello either. "Hello India. Hello Ember."

She nuzzled lightly against her mate's neck & murred softly into his ear. "Missed you already."

Then she tilted her head at Ember, finally seeing something was off. "You okay?" She added her concerned quary to her mate's. "Kits been keeping you up?" The tone on the last sounded a little wistful.

Ember
Ember smiled sheepishly, settling in next to India with a barely-contained yawn. "I...I'm okay.." he mumbled, nodding a bit. "Just...haven't been sleeping well." An understatement, he thought bitterly, jumping a bit as Chroma greeted them. He hadn't even noticed her approaching..."H'lo, Chroma... N-no...Not the kits." he replied quickly, loathe to let anybody think poorly of his babies. "I..just strange dreams, I guess."

India
India was only momentarily destracted by his mate's entrance. With a sideways smile, he leaned into her nuzzle, glad he wasn't the only one who was quick to miss the other. Of course, he was easily brought back to reality by her own concerned words towards his friend. Returning attention to the other male again, though he was happy enough to remain leaning lightly against Chroma, he listened. The situation sounded almost familiar. But he'd never remembered having bad dreams with his insomnia. That was strange. "Care to share?" He questioned, voice obviously concerned, though he tried not to pry to much.

Chroma
"Trel has strange dreams... of missing her mate who's gone & things. She doesn't like to sleep for 'em." The female's head tilted, some part of her seeming to sense this was not the same & not knowing why. She leaned closer into India's side. "Remy says that what she needs is someone to talk to ... Maybe you do too?"

"And if you don't want me around... I can understand. India's better at listening than me."

Ember
Ember winced slightly at India's concern, and then at Chroma's telling of her owner...or 'not liking to sleep'. That fit well, for him..."I...There's nothing really to say,but you can stay, Chroma..I wouldn't take you from India like that." he replied hesitantly, shifting a bit awkwardly and smiling. "India...I...I think I told you once that I had no self, or some such thing...a-and upset you? Well...there's more to that than just a feeling of selflessnes...I..I have memories that don't belong to me. They...they used to be less frequent, but always have they made me hurt...mostly hurt here." He tapped his chest where he figured his heart was, pausing to gather his words before continuing. "Now...I..I can't close my eyes without remembering things I shouldn't remember...can't hope to sleep without dreaming of pain."

India
Amber eyes narrowed curiously as India took in the information. He remembered that time and how he'd gotten so angry. Idly, he found himself wondering if he and Ember would be better friends now, had he not gotten upset. Well, at least he could say they were friends and getting better.

And thusly, his concern only grew at the strange explaination. Memories that weren't his? How strange. For a moment, he turned to Chroma, canting his head as if asking whether she'd ever heard of such a thing. He sure hadn't. "I..." He looked at the ground, then Ember, then the ground again. "I want to help, but I don't know how I can." He muttered, hating the feeling of helplessness that took the place of his usual ability to give some sort of advice.

Scooting a bit closer to his friend, he nuzzled his shoulder and tried to pull Chroma with him using his black tail. It was like some strange, un-India-like group hug.

Chroma
Chroma was easily led, snuggling them both in a group hug. She did not understand herself... bet there where those in her family that might. "You've a "before"? Remy & Ginny & some of my family have "befores" that I don't understand. Memories of other lives or something." Her face scrunched up. It was not that Chroma was unintelligent, it was more that -like India- she herself did not experience it so the concept though known was unfamiliar to her. "But none of theirs hurt. Maybe yours is bad memories? Now is better. Now with your kits & Rhian & Remy & us. Now is happy... like Remy's. Better than "before"."

Ember
"'Now'...." Ember mumbled, hesitantly nuzzling both of them and allowing himself to relax- just a bit. "Now is better, but I can't seem to hold onto the now. Remus...how does he stay in the present, when he has a 'before' too? How can he, when there's the whole other him to know? His doesn't hurt...his doesn't hurt." He sighed, trailing off and flicking his ears back. "I'm sorry to have bothered the two of you with something so trivial." he murmured formally, though his voice quavered on the last word. "Of course, memories shouldn't hurt. I'm sure I'm just being...foolish."

India
India shook his head, willing away a sudden feeling of déjà vu. "It's okay," he assured his friend. "Everyone needs someone to talk to and.... despite what you think I may thing of you, I do care." While Ember had called himself foolish, India truly felt foolish. He must've sounded crazy. "In any case..." He shook his head once again. "I always here to talk..." And he felt unlike himself. How strange. What a strange night.

Chroma
"Not foolish! Not Trivial!" Chroma shook her head forcefully from side to side to emphasize her point. "Hurt is hurt... and no one wants you to hurt. And hurts can come from "befores"... Think! You know Remy's condition! Better than I do! It's from his "before", isn't it? But it hurts him still, here, now. Remy & the others... they know their "befores".... maybe if you knew your "before" it wouldn't hurt so bad when it comes back!" It was a long shot. Even Chroma saw that. But she had hurt so not very long ago & it seemed to have strengthed a feeling of not wanting to hve others hurt within her.

Nadeshiko
Once again, Nadeshiko was allowed on her own. This time India'd been a little less willing to allow it, though. Last time, she'd come home near two days later and he hadn't been able to find her when he searched. He hadn't seemed happy, but her insistance finally wore him down and he sent her on her way.

Happily padding into the HQ, she looked around, cyan eyes scanning every corner of the room. She didn't see who she was looking for, but remembered something. It was a fading bit of logic, but still there. Looking up to the dark ceiling, she tilted her head.

Crow
The dark winged kitsusagi tilted his head, light brown eyes watching Nadeshiko, a smile spread beneath his white painted face. "Look who's returned" He said as he hopped off his favoured rafter, the one that overlooked the valley and river in the distance. He longed to someday go there, but that was another adventure to dream of. He landed infront of her, and gracefully folded his wings against his back, and bowed his head in greeting towards Nadeshiko "Is it just me that brought you here, or am i flattering myself?" He asked with a joyful chuckle, head cocked to the side displaying a subtle curiosity.

Nadeshiko
"Crow!" As soon as she'd seen the familiar form floating down from above, the happy bouncing had started. "Nadeshiko want see Crow!" With all four paws now firmly on the ground, she beamed up at him. "India let Nadeshiko come again! But Nadeshiko has to be a good girl this time." A little glimmer left her eyes, but not enough to dull their shine. "Not lose house." Truth be told, she hadn't returned late because she'd wanted to be bad. Really... she'd just gotten lost. India had been unlucky enough to search in every place she'd already been. A game of cat and mouse.

Crow
Crow chuckled and smiled, nodding his head "Crow wanted to see Nadeshiko too" He chuckled, and wagged his tails softly. Quirking an eyebrow at her statement of being bad, once he got it he chuckled lightly "You got lost going home last time?" He asked with a quirked grin.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko also nodded. The mirror game and her answer. "Lost house. Couldn't find for two days!" She actually looked exasperated at the thought. "Crow lose house before?" She then questioned, feeling a bit silly. India had scolded her for getting lost. She didn't want to be the only one. "India says losing house is bad. Nadeshiko no lose again."

Crow
Crow smiled gently, his light brown eyes sparkling kindly. "There have been a few times, when i could not find my home" He laughed, never having told anyone of his silly moment's before. "Oh how i got teased when my family found out" He chuckled and rolled his eyes, smiling. He gently lifted her chin up, with a furry paw "The important part is, you did find it. You just..took the long way home" He chuckled lightly and smiled.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko smiled brightly, moving her head just enough to nuzzle her cheek against the paw that'd held her chin. "Thanking Crow." It was good to know she wasn't the only one. India must've gotten lost once too, she decided. "Nadeshiko better now." Not that she'd been ovely upset in the first place. "Outside?" She then asked, switching the conversation quickly, as her one-track mind demanded. "Walk with Crow!" She bounced lightly.

Crow
Crow chuckled and smiled, standing up and shaking out his coat "I'd love to walk with you" He bowed his head and headed outside, his tails wagging. He ruffled out his feathered wings, and settled them against his back once more, they got stiff if in the same position long.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko was up and following as soon as he agreed. It didn't take long until she fell into step with him and even less time for her tails to start up like his as she watched carefully for any other movements. Of course, there was one movement that set a little pout on her lips. She could never mimic those wings, considering she didn't have any of her own. Huffing lightly, she padded outside, almost forgetting her mood when the sun began to warm her fur. She stretched idly, though still kept pace with Crow.

Crow
Crow smiled and shook his head as he watched her, her innocence warmed his normally cold heart. Perhaps there was more to this life then he'd first thought. He's have to mull that over later, when he had the time. "Tell me, Nadeshiko, " he began, picking a small bundle of flowers for her, and handing it to her with his becoming accustomed crooked grin "What makes you blissfully content?" He was curious to find out all about her, find out what made her smile, and what made her frown.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko took the flowers with glee, sticking them in her fur for safe keeping, as usual. The pretty plants never lost their magic in her eyes. Her tails went off on their own happy dance as she smelled the flowers for a long while before thinking on Crow's question. It took her even longer after that, though. Sometimes he used words she had a hard time understanding. "Mm..." Blissfully. Bliss. Okay. Full. Okay. "Nadeshiko likes India and outside and flowers and to be with Crow!" She nodded, proud with being able to answer.

Crow
Crow smiled and laughed, nodding. He reached over and gently batted at her ear, chuckling "Crow likes being with Nadeshiko as well" He winked and laughed "Is there anything you dont like?" He asked with a flick of his ear, shooing off a bug.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko's ear flicked idly, as if trying to figure out what happened. Narrowing cyan eyes at her friend, she giggled. "Nadeshiko want to like everything," she said, nudging against Crow as a sort of revenge for her ear. "Not nice to not like, but..." She fell silent for a moment, gaze shifting around a little. "Alone at night is scary." The days spent lost weren't so bad, except when night fell.

Crow
Crow chuckled and smiled, laughing. "Nobody likes being alone....least of all at night" In truth, he didnt mind the night, it was one of the times he could blend completely into the background and just...think. He smiled reasuringly at the femme "Nadeshiko need not worry about the night, Crow will always be around to protect you" He said with a firm nod, then had an idea strike him. He smiled again and extended one wing, he nosed around in his feathers and plucked out 3 of the longest blackest ones and gave them to Nadeshiko "Whenever you feel scared, just look to these feathers, and remember i'll always be there" He smiled softly and licked her ear, chuckling.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko watched the feathers in amazement. "For me?" She couldn't help but question, though she eagerly took the offered gifts anyway. "Thanking to you, Crow!" She pushed the feathers down with the flowers, but they stuck up a bit more and tickled at her chin. "Nadeshiko never get so much presents." With a silly little grin, she nuzzled up to her friend, purring lightly. "Nadeshiko won't be scared of dark anymore. Promise."

Crow
Crow smiled and nodded, glad she took the feathers "Dont worry about losing them, i have more" He chuckled and nuzzled his friend back, chuckling in his throat. "Its alright to be scared once in a while, just remember your never alone" He smiled brightly, wrapping a wing around her in a big hug "Even I get scared sometimes" He said with a wink and another chuckle "But dont tell anyone" he grinned.

Nadeshiko
As if it were a huge secret that, if leaked, could spell the destruction of the universe, Nadeshiko nodded firmly. Her face was set in a determined way and she willed herself to remember the secret and remember that she wasn't supposed to tell anyone. "Crow can count on Nadeshiko!" She chirped, leaning into the hug a bit more. "Nadeshiko is good at secreting!" So it was a lie, but just a little white one so her friend would trust her.

Crow
Crow chuckled and smiled "I know i can trust Nadeshiko" He nodded and smiled gently, ruffling her hair with a furry paw "And dont worry, i wont tell anyone your not a big fan of the dark" He nodded seriously, a kind gleam in his gentle eyes.

Nadeshiko
She giggled when he ruffled her hair and manuvered her head to nose at the paw he'd used before it got away. "Good. Crow would be bad to break secreting." She made sure he knew. "And since India say Nadeshiko must be not bad, Nadeshiko be extra careful with secreting also!" Looking up to the sky, her brows furrowed and she nodded to herself. "Nadeshiko is going to find the house now. Before dark. Byes to Crow!" Giving him one last nuzzle and smile, she bounced off towards home, tails wagging behind her as if waving goodbye.

Nadeshiko
Nadeshiko bounced into the HQ, nose to the ground and sniffing ever curiously, as usual. India had been proud of her, since she hadn't gotten lost this time. He even got their caretaker to make a necklace out of the feathers from Crow, which she happily wore around her neck. And speaking of Crow... She looked up eagerly, eyes scanning the dark ceiling, though she could see nothing. But by now Crow would've come down. Pouting lightly, she sat, still staring, at the ceiling.

Lenneth
The armored kitsu gently floated about towards the door. Her wings occationally gave a small flap to keep her afloat. Lenneth scanned the room quickly before entering, her boots only hanging a few inches off the ground as she floated in. Her front paws hung at her sides as she searched for signs of life.

She saw the rather energetic kitsu in front of her, it was as if the violet-colored kitsu was searching for something. Following her actions, Lenneth scanned the ceiling, though nothing was there. She wondered if the female was waiting for something, or maybe someone. Floating gently by her side, she remained silent for a short moment before speaking, "What, or who, are you searching for?" Her voice carried a bit of coldness to it, reflecting her personality.

Nadeshiko
Cyan eyes didn't dare leave the ceiling yet. "Nadeshiko look for Crow." Plain and simple Kitsu, plain and simple words. "But Crow not come." Finally, the femme gave up in her futile attempts. Too little was her mind's capacity to talk and search at the same time. And so, having focused very little on the other female before, Nadeshiko was rather surprised, but certainly excited, to see her company was not standing, but floating.

"Wow!" She chirped, jumping to her paws immediately with tails wagging. "Wings like Crow!" Proudly, she puffed out her chest, raising the few black feathers strung around her neck so they were easily viewed. The feathers, she believed, were what had helped her find her way home without losing the house.

Lenneth
Patiently awaiting an answer from the kitsu, her curiosity built up more. She didn't know who the female was searching for, but she guessed it was a crow, since she called it 'Crow'. Shrugging her shoulders slightly at the thought, she turned her attention back to the simple kitsu. The obvious change from a neutral state to excitment took Lenneth by suprise. Even if it was the first kitsu she ever met, she never knew that she was all that special in appearence. Except maybe the armor sticking out like a sore thumb.

At the female's excitment, she wondered enough to ask, "Crow?". Then her eyes lingered to the necklance around the raven colored feathers which explained a few things. "Ahh...Crow," she muttered. A winged kitsu with black feathers, she presumed.

Nadeshiko
"Friend of Crow's?" The flowered female asked, eyes shining curiously. She fully assumed the male was a mutual friend of them both, since the other had seemed familiar with the feathers. It wasn't like her to pick up anything but what the basic words meant in her mind. "Crow is Nadeshiko's friend!" She seemed overly excited at the fact.

Lenneth
A bit taken back by Nadeshiko's...question, Lenneth hovered, left only bewildered a bit. She only made a guess as to who or what Crow was, but never actually assumed anything beyond her guesses. The kitsu shook her head lightly, "No, I am not. I do not know who 'Crow' is, I only made a guess," she shrugged.

Pointing to the girl's necklance, she asked, "Crow is a kitsusagi? One similar to you and I, that is."

Nadeshiko
"Oh..." Ears drooped, but for such a short time that it was hardly noticable. At the opportunity to describe her friend, all spirit returned. "Like a bird!" She started, rememebering the crow they'd seen flying from the tree that one day. "Kitsusagi like crow bird, but with white face like mask." Cyan eyes narrowed in thought. Yep, that was it, she was sure. "And Crow really nice! Crow give Nadeshiko feathers so Nadeshiko won't lose house and make India mad." It was highly unlikely that such a strange comment would make much sense to most. "Y...You should meet Crow." The word 'you' was struggled with. She knew what it meant, but had all but bannished it from her vocabulary.

Lenneth
Seeing the excitment build up as Nadeshiko described her friend, Lenneth could at the least guess that they were good friends; if not, close friends. Her eyes continued studying the violet colored kitsu as her ears absorbed all the words her new companion said.

The girl's setences were a bit...akward, and even though it took a little time to register, it eventually made sense to the armored kitsu. Giving a small nod, she understood his physical image to the best of her ability based on Nadeshiko's short description. He seemed like a relatively nice ktisu. However, Lenneth didn't quite understand why Nadeshiko struggled to say such a simple word as "you". Then she recalled only one introduction was made, and it was not hers.

"My name is Lenneth," she said.

Nadeshiko
"Lenneth..." The name ran easily over her tounge, more so than the short and simple 'you.' She nodded strongly, determined to remember the new name. It was hard enough to remember the four names she already knew: Nadeshiko, India, Crow, and Chroma. But she would remember this one, too. "Nadeshiko is pleasing to meet Lenneth!" So it was a little late, but she still somewhat recalled India's lessons on manners.

India
How long was it since India had sent Nadeshiko off on her own? He couldn't quite remember. She must've gotten lost again, he figured. So, as he slipped into the HQ, he wasn't overly surprised that he didn't see her here. By now, their game of cat-and-mouse had possibly led her home already. Well, she always seemed to make it back okay, so he tried not to worry too much. Padding further into the room, he eyed his and Chroma's spot in the corner warily. It'd been a long time since he'd slept with her there. Sighing lightly, he moved off to lay at the foot of a couch.

Chroma
Chroma was bouncing. She had met knew friends, played new games, & was not feeling shut out of India's life. She had been pretty patient, not bugging India about summoning the bunny, but today she really, really wanted to learn the new game to summon the bunny. A game just for India & herself. She shivered with excitement, her body seeming to understand something her innocent mind did not.

As if sensing her mate she looked towards him as she entered the shop. "India!" Chroma cried out happily in delight, prancing over to him. Then she paused, tilting her head in confusion first at the male, then at their usual "spot". "India... you're in the wrong spot!" She exclamed with a look of baffled wonder in her eyes.

India
"Hrm...?" Was the closest to an actual word he was able to summon just then. In the short amount of time he'd occupied this floor space, he'd already taken to sleep. Mumbling a bit more as he blinked up at his mate's bright colors, he nodded slightly. "Wrong spot. Right." With a yawn, he rose, nuzzling gently at Chroma's shoulder, with no obvious intention to move to the correct spot just yet. For now he was content with nuzzling, at least until he was reminded once more of his purposeful mistake.

Chroma
Chroma did not really care that he was in a different spot... it just confused her. What she really wanted was to be with India anyway, and here was as good as there to her. Actually... anywhere was perfectly fine, as long as she could be with her India.

The energetic kitsu nuzzled her mate fondly, deciding she would not wake him just yet to push about the bunny & instead curling around him quite possessively. "You must have been extra sleepy, to fall asleep in the wrong spot!" Chroma purred sympathetically, weaving her tails with his & lightly stroking his all black tail subconsciously.

India
The added warmth of her form did little to help him stay awake. "I suppose so," he pondered, having not actually meant to fall asleep in the first place. "I'm not sure what it is." Needless to say, he had no plans to move now. Shifting his position just a bit so he could snuggle closer, he yawned for the second time. It likely wouldn't be the last. Or so it seemed, as a sudden little jolt of energy opened his amber eyes a bit more. Letting a light smile trace his maw, he curled his solid-colored tail tighter with his mate's, while the other two kept their gentle embraces.

Chroma
Her body tingled with delight even as she felt the almost sleepy relaxed feeling India seemed to spread like a soothing balm over her when they were together. Feeling his tail tighten Chroma grinned playfully and began to nibble lightly on his ear. "So... didja wanna be awake or asleep? Now, I mean."

Her bright blue eyes sparkled impishly. She might not know the summoning bunny game, but there were games that could be played lying here just as they were. She simply did not know that the games her mind was leading her towards were the very games that could lead to the game she was so eager to learn.

India
"Awake works," India mumbled, muzzle hiding in his paws as if he were trying to get away from the nibbling. It wasn't a very good attempt. And so, obviously realizing his own attempts were futile, he retaliated. Muzzle slipping from the protection of paws, he nosed at her cheek before nipping lightly at the base of her ear. "I don't think I could fall asleep now, when I've a game to win." He'd accepted whatever 'challenge' he believed to be in his love's actions. Grinning slightly, he slipped from her embrace, starting off across the room. He only looked back to see if she'd accept whatever game this was he'd started now. Tag, maybe? Just a chase? Time would tell, the wandering male supposed.

Chroma
A surprised mew of disappointment escaped Chroma before she realized that her mate was playing a game. Actually playing! Eyes bright she hopped up, chasing after him. Tag? Maybe. Chase, Definitely. All Chroma knew for sure was that she wanted to touch him.

Eyes glinting Chroma pounced playfully at India's tails like a kit. A soft, eager, vibrating sort of noise coming from her, similar to a purr but somehow... different.

So India had a game to win, did he? Well then she would see that it was a game worth playing!!

Yrre
Yrre bounded indoors, grinning when he saw the Sleeper and the Searcher playing Chase (for he'd left his blindfold at home, tonight) ...but somehow he got the impression that it was a private game, for reasons unknown, yet still made his cheeks heat. He quickly headed back outside. It was nicer, anyway, in the beginning-of-winter to be outside. More sharp air to tease his nose and fur into playing. Ee. Suchfun!

India
Still slow on the draw, since a tired air continued to hang around him yet, India's tails barely escaped the attack. Willing himself faster, his legs curled and pushed him away. "Too slow," he tossed back with a smirk, taking the risk of nearly stopping to turn back to her. Padding almost backwards, he called her on with a swift bow of his head.

"C'mon, then. Catch me if you can." Normally, he wasn't the type to tease so much. Maybe a little... but not as much as he felt the urge to now. Moving back to his escape, he rounded the couch, barely fitting behind it.

Chroma
Chroma grinned even though she missed her pounce. India was playing, & she could not be happier. "I'll catch you!! Just you wait!"

Her start back after him was not at fluid as perhaps she would have liked, & her ear flicked slightly hearing the little bobtail peek inside. She recognized the Yrre's scent but was not interested in anything other than her mate & their game right now. She bounded after him, fully feeling the effects of India's teasing without even knowing she was.

Chroma ran full tilt at the couch, jumping onto it & nearly going over it as she reached eagerly with her forepaws for India.
