His eyes darted from the lighter on the desk up to the doctor's face as he sniffed, shifting the smoke ot the other side of his mouth. "Aint go' th'thumbs fer lighters," He chuckled humourlously, procuring his pack of matches from where where he kept them tucked into his pack, striking it with his lower tentacles while holding the filter with the tip of one of his upper. "So they've finally decided t'send me t' a shrink, tha' it? I been fecked wit' enough, Doc, an' I'm bloody tired o' bein' feckin' used. Y'usin' me, Doc?"

Marlena shrugged. "Do I have a choice, Mr. Woodrow? Either I evaluate you, and do the research prescribed to me, or my job doesn't get done properly, I could end up like Miss Delaney. I really, really would prefer that not happen. If that's using you, well then I guess I am."
She moved around the front of the desk and leaned back against it, folding her arms over her chest. "So are you going to let me ask you questions, or will I get a mark against me in the Feral Labs employee roster?"

He leaned back, stretching his legs out in front of him as he slouched down into his chair, tentacle hands coiled inf ront of him. "Depends on th'sort o' questions. Coul' I get some feckin' water? S'bloody dry as hell in here."

Marlena nodded and she moved back behind her desk again, opening a drawer. "I read your file before I arrived, I thought you might need some moisture if you were already feeling instincts from the octopus, but if I'd known how far advanced you were already, I'd have gotten something more substantial for you to relax in." She pulled out a 6 pack of bottled water and a couple dozen wash cloths.
"I don't know if it will make you more comfortable, but I thought if you wet them you might be able to drape them over your skin." She gave a sheepish smile as she moved over and set the items beside him.
"As to the questions, standard shrink stuff of course. Like what was your life like before you came here, how did you get here, how have your social interactions been since you arrived?" She returned to her half perch on the edge of the desk.

"Which one y'wanna hear first?" He grunted, begrudgingly reaching for a bottle and a cloth with one of his many limbs, "An' wha' version?" He had become mosturizingly spoiled by his rock at the lake.

"How about before you got here? Your file indicates you had a life that was less than above the law, but files are written by people who tend to see things from a very law abiding point of view. I'd prefer to hear your side of it."
Marlena crossed her legs at the ankle, and did her best to look supremely interested in whatever Billy had to say while inwardly cringing. She had realized that one or two employees wound up on the testing roster. She was genuinely a bit discomfited at the thought she might.

He ashed on the carpet, watching her face carefully as he exhailed the oily smoke in a white cloud between them, "I di' bad errands fer bad people. Couln' be happier."

Marlena quirked a brow, waving the smoke away casually with a hand to peer through it at Billy. "Bad errands? Anything interesting, or just run-of-the-mill thug crap? I tend to find those individuals who were just standard thugs, all muscle and no mentality to their 'jobs' were really kind of dim witted. Course, that's probably because the ones that were caught and ended up in a shrink's office weren't all that bright to begin with, eh?"

He glared harder, giving another nervious sniff, "Y'wanna know? Fine. S'no' like yer gonna' like me up more'n I already am, aye?" He could hardly remember his earlier venting to the deer woman, but now as he tried to organize his thoughts, the story felt stale, like old news he just didn't care to talk about more than he had to anymore. "Smugglin'," He took a drink of water to wet his palet, "I was in charge o' a whole team, thank ye."

"Ah now THAT is infinitely more interesting than thug crap. It requires skills, and a brain behind those skills. Drugs? Guns? Slaves?" She looked genuinely interested in his criminal resume, oddly enough. "Was there a reason you went into smuggling, or was it just too good to pass up?"

"Drugs... Coke mostly," His eyebrows raised at her odd enthusiasm, following along out of morbid curiosity. Just keep playing along. "Was sor' a roped into it a' a young age. Worked me way up so t'speak."

Marlena nodded. "And then you wound up here? Have you made friends on the island? A few of the residents I spoke with had been attacked at one time or another, have you been threatened or hurt by any of the others?" She moved to a thermostat in the room and toggled it a little, increasing the humidty inside, in the hopes of making him more comfortable, thus more relaxed.

His semi amphibious limbs made a terrible, subtle wet noise as they moved beneith the dampened cloths, and he shifted in his chair, "Well, o'course there was tha' whole murder shite an' run b'for comin' here, bu' tha's th'jist o' it, aye." With another sniff, he leaned his head back to stare at her lamp, "Been attacked too many times n' I care t'recount. Nearly eaten by th'tiger, an' th'bloody bear man... Ewok King wha' have you-" He chuckled slightly, "Need I list th'staff members?" The blue man ashed his cigarette again thoughtlessly onto her rug befor he took another swig of water.

Marlena frowned. "Were these attacks shortly before or after a change? Or are the tiger and the bear aggressive all the time? In your opinion..." ooh, asking HIS opinion, "should they be separated from the rest of the population?"
She moved over beside his chair and gestured to his tentacles. "How much control do you have of them. Are they of any use in defending yourself?"

"Th' Tiger's alrigh', bu' th'bears a bloody whiny wee b*****d. Cryin' 'Poor Me!" b'fer tryin' t'hang me by me own tentacles!" Go' wha' I needed out o' him, bu' he's still a bloody wanker." As she moved, he glanced up with a placid look. At her question, one of his upper tentacles slithered free from where it had been resting to slip towards the buttons of her blouse. "Aint been in a figh' recently wit' 'em, bu' after gettin' good a' fishin' wit' 'em these past days, I'll bet I coul' easily strangle a man easy." He beamed at that, in a sharp and molevolent sort of way, obviously proud of this fact. The tentacle, meanwhile, kept itself busy bothering her buttons.
