After a gentle nod, Faye twined her skirts into her fingers and curtsied. Slightly behind her, Keovari bowed his head to the man who introduced himself as Rosiel. "Greeting, sir. I am called Faye and this is my friend and companion, Keovari." She said softly as she let her skirts fall softly back to the floor, once again covering the slightly muddy black ankle boots that she rarely was found without. Another yawn pressed passed her lips and she moved to take a seat at a nearby table. Faye let her eyelids droop slightly, but allowed her posture no such luxury.
Keovari nodded in agreement and moved past Faye to extend his hand to Rosiel to shake. "Thank you. We are pleased to meet you and are also pleased to hear you have rooms available. One with a single bed shall do for Faye, I will not be in need of one."

Rosiel smiles, and bows to Faye, then takes the man's hand, suddenly frowning as he touches him. A slight chill crawled up the Angel's arm, and he was uncomfortably aware that this Keovari knew he was an Angel. He had his wings hidden from view for the purpose of not frightening anyone, and to avoid awkward confrontations if any of his customers happened to be Demons. He stared at Keo as he shook his hand, grasping it firmly.
Keo also seemed to be a similar creature, though not quite an Angel. Perhaps a lower ranking Angel. Rosiel didn't like something knowing what he was, and not knowing what it was. He narrowed his eyes slightly, in uncertaintly, though otherwise showed no discomfort.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," he said in a falsely cheerful voice. "It looks like your friend could definately use one of the rooms. However, if I may ask.. where will you be going... sir?"

Keovari kept his eyes steadily on those of Rosiel. The angel, as Keovari quickly learned he was, stared back. Keo wondered vaguely if Rosiel was aware of what he was. Not as well known a form, it would be evident to the angel that Keovari was similar to him, but not clear what unless Rosiel had come across someone similar in the past. Keovari released the other mans hand, comfortable that he would not cause trouble for Faye at least for the moment. "She could indeed. She is not so strong as she could be if given proper care. Unfortunately, constant travel does not offer the comforts she deserves. I shall stay by her side. If I need to sleep, I shall not take more room then would a... pet cat." He finished, hearing Faye give a soft laugh to the joke made for her.
Faye laughed softly behind her hand as she allowed Keovari to take the time he needed in accepting Rosiel. Her Guardian's careful, calculating nature was what had brought him to the level of seniority that he held in the community of spirits who took their time to be a Guardian to mortal or paritally mortal creatures. Luckily for the spirit, his kind were not well known and a simple touch like a handshake would not reveal his identity.

Rosiel wasn't particularlly happy about his new guest. He considered asking Keo to leave, but took pity on his female companion, who did seem as if she would soon fall asleep from being so tired. This time he did not bother to hide his discomfort and folded his arms across his chest.
"Pardon my rudeness, sir, but what is your purpose? If you are simply guarding your friend, that is fine... however... if there is something else, I need you to tell me. In private, if need be. I've not met a creature like you, and therefore, if you'll forgive me, do not trust you. And you," he said, turning to Faye, his tone becoming light again. "If you'd like some food or anything, simply ask. If not, I can lead you and your... friend... up to a room."

Keovari smiled slightly and nodded. "My purpose is to do my duty, to be Guardian to my ward, and my wish is to protect my friend and honorary sister. Beyond that, our personal matters are of a delicate nature. I can assure you put you nor your patrons in any danger. Pardon my sounding too direct, but I am not surprised nor worried that you do not trust me. Few do and fewer should," He smiled slightly, "What is more unusual, in my opinion, is that I trust you because you distrust myself. "I trust you, Keo." Said the small girl as she stood again and crossed to the men. Keovari smiled and rested one hand on her shoulder for a silent moment.
"Sir, we do not wish to cause trouble," she said delicately, "We shall leave without fuss if you ask." She smiled, meaning to reassure that her offer was true. Faye glanced to the side momentarily as she heard a thud. She paused as she began to speak again, considering if the one Rosiel had called Zanzen was alright. She noticed Keovari's glance turned in the same direction and allowed the spirit to watch. With a smooth motion, her hands moved to the small pouch hanging from her belt. From it's dark depths, she produced a smooth grey stone which she began to rub gently between her thumb and first finger. Her movements were deft. She had done this many times before. In a silent attempt to quench the unease of her inner struggle, the rhythmic movements of the stone in her figers calmed her. No sign of the sudden change presented itsself in her blue eyes or across her kind face. "I would only be sad to forego the chance to speak longer with you."

Rosiel listens to the creature before him speak, the same stoney expression on his face. The expression changes when Zanzen falls off of his chair to the look of mild surprise. He blinks a few times, and peers over the counter at Zanzen. Shaking his head, he hops over the counter and picks up the sleeping man, and turns to his two guests.
"That's fine, sir..., "and then, he speaks in a langauge he was sure that only the creature before him could understand. Not Zanzen, nor Faye.
"Please be aware that I'm the Angel Lord. I don't care what you're doing.. but cross me, and you won't be so happy. I mean you no harm, sir, but consider this a friendly warning. If you prove yourself to be a good creature, you and I will have no problems. If you prove otherwise... well..."
Rosiel nodded curtly, then spoke in a normal langauge again.
"Ah, no, Miss Faye. I don't wish for you two to leave. If I did, I'd have demanded it right away. Are you two on the run from something.. or perhaps searching for something? I've been around for.. quite a while. I may know something. Just pardon me for a second.. Zanzen here, let me just get him to my room."

Keovari smiled. "I assure you, sir, of the fact you would be much more dissapointed if I proved to be less then a good creature then you expect. You may consider that a friendly warning from Faye and myself." He turned his eyes back to Faye, who met his gaze with a hint of sadness. He knew that she did not understand, but it was clear that she knew that his mild warning of her past and his part in holding it back was part of what they spoke of. He reached out to her mind reassuringly. His fears shall not be realized. I will not let Alyria come through you.
She closed her eyes for a moment before turning her attention fulling to Rosiel. "Keo and I are searching, in a way. We shall remain here until you return," She smiled softly, "I hope your friend is alright."

Rosiel smiled towards Keo, and it was more warm than his previous stony glare.
"Only time will tell how good of a creature you are. In the meanwhile, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt," he said lightly, raising his brow as he glanced at Zanzen, in his arms. "Zanzen is all right, Miss Faye. He's just lazy. I'll put him on my bed so he can't fall out of my bar stool... although, knowing him, he'll manage to fall out of the bed... But, when I come back, do tell me what you're searching for. You, if you recognize me, do realize what I am, and I'm certain I can help you. I will be very pleased if I can."
He nodded toward the back of the bar, where there was a closed black door. Rosiel silently carried Zanzen behind the bar. Balancing him with the help of his knee, Rosiel opened the door, and went inside, then shut it, to give the two time to consider his offer, and talk between themselves.

Rosiel looks down and notices that Zanzen is awake, then places him on the bed.
"You fell alseep, and then you fell off of my bar stool. I'd like it if you didn't crack your head open, so I figured you'd be better off using my room in the bar. Just go ahead and rest, all right?"

Gabriel slept while the sun beat against the thick lining of the cover he had thrown across the window to protect himself. Rarely were his dreams untroubled; and tonight was no exception...
Rain teemed down onto the slate-tiled roof, making him slip and slide, losing his footing constantly. His adversary's clawed toes dug into the tiles, and he advanced further on the battered and exposed Gabriel. Gabriel managed to stay on his feet for more than a second, and drew his sword back to thrust in his enemy's face; his fury pumped through him like the blood which had dried up in his veins so many centuries ago. The sword flew forward like a bullet, but a huge, hairy, clawed hand had flown out before his enemy's face and a growl rent the air as the sword pierced straight through it.
Gabriel reached to his belt for the sword's twin, and swung it to crash down on his enemy's head. But again, his enemy's hand shot forward and grabbed his wrist, keeping his blow at bay. The two struggled together for dominance, Gabriel's boiling hatred against his enemy's sheer power. The two were forced chest-to-chest in their battle to subdue the other, and Gabriel could feel himself losing the struggle. Becoming the beast he fought so viciously, Gabriel sunk his fangs deep into his enemy's throat; he screamed and let loose a brutal kick to Gabriel's midriff. He was dislodged, and sent sliding across the roof to collide with a gargoyle in the corner, his sword flying from his hand to fall to the ground untold miles below, while his enemy staggered and clutched his neck.
Gabriel saw through his blurry, rain-clouded eyes as his enemy in the distance tore the sword from his hand, and threw it like a spear in his direction. Rolling sideways just in time, the sword pierced the hard rock of the gargoyle with terrific force. Gabriel grabbed the sword's handle, and pulled with all his might, desperately trying to free it as his enemy moved in for the kill.
And then he saw her...standing on the edge of the roof, willing him to win, believing in him with every fibre of her soul. She was soaked and bedraggled by the rain, and the ferocity and uncertainty of the fight had shredded her nerves to tatters. But still she watched, knowing that he would win. As he saw her, with him to the bitter end, Gabriel gave a mighty tug on the sword and the stone shattered.
His enemy was now breathing down his neck; a vicious, clawed hand swung down, intent on killing him in one blow. Gabriel lunged forward, sword pointed to his enemy's heart, and the two collided...
Gabriel awoke, shouting again, and the remembrance of his surroundings both comforted him and reduced him to weeping, as he seemed to do so often lately. But then...that feeling...that feeling that only she could produce, the one he had missed so bitterly these last six years, it seemed to be creeping up the stairs like a ghost. He pressed himself to the door, trying to feel it; but then, he tore himself away, hitting his own head and saying, "Damn you! Why do you trick me? Why do you taunt and torment me so?" And throwing his book against the wall, he wrapped himself in the quilt and retreated back into sleep.

Rosiel was about to reply to Zanzen and offer to get him something when he heard noises directly above him. He stopped with his mouth open, and thought he looked silly, so he closed it. He looked down at Zanzen, who was staring back at him from under the blankets.
"Rest up, I'll awaken you in a bit. I'll come back down, I need to go check on Mr. Gabriel, up there. I believe he may be having some kind of trouble," he said, in a whipser.
With that, Rosiel turned on his heel, opened the door again, went back out into the bar area, and gently shut it. He nodded toward Faye and Keo.
"Pardon me, sir and miss, but my other guest appears to be having a bit of trouble. Interesting man, this Gabriel. I'll go check up on him, make sure he's all right..."
His voice trailed off, as he knelt down and began searching for something under the counter. He found what he was looking for; a longsword, with a silver blade, and a black leather hilt. The guard was also silver, with roses engraved in it. He had left the scabbard under the counter. With the sword in his left hand, he proceeded up the stairs.
Rosiel knocked on the room he believed Gabriel to have taken. When he received no answer, he twisted the door knob, and was relieved to find that the man had not locked it. The room was light, and he found nothing wrong with the inside. Gabriel was sleeping in the bed, threashing around; he appeared to be having a bad dream. Rosiel thought to wake him, but then remember that the man had mentioned that he slept during the day.
Lowering the sword, he frowned. Bad dreams weren't dangerous, but he had sworn that he heard someone scream. Dismissing it, he closed the door gently, and then went back downstairs. He laid his sword out on top of the counter, and excused himself to his guests, then went in his back room to check on Zanzen.
