I have an enormous blue, white, and green towel with my first name embroidered on it. So I suppose, were it ever to be left in a smelly spaceport, somebody might be able to get it back to me. I've started getting attached to that one, perhaps because, as much as the thought of this being my reasoning scares me, if I ever were to become an intergalactic hitchhiker, it'd be helpful to have a huge monogrammed towel instead of one which is too small for anything and could be nicked by anybody. And there's two purple ones, one inexplicably fraying, which look almost exactly like the one Ford had in the movie. I was very amazed when I saw the movie trailers and FORD HAD MY TOWEL!

Breenok I just got my towel on Friday, it's purple! Yay! I'm thinking about staining it with melted chocolate for nutrients, but my mom thinks it's stupid... I was wondering: who else has a towel and what does it look like? *waves* I have one. It's purple with funky green flowers. Like you'd see in a hippie's room! 3nodding Except... I seem to have misplaced it... sweatdrop Feel free to call me a strag at will.

This one has sentimental meaning for me... I was stranded on a desert planet on my way to Alpha Centauri (it really was insane trying to find the plans for a new overpass...) when I lost my only towel. Then, that hoopy frood himself, Ford Prefect showed up out of nowhere and handed me this one--well, it was new at the time.
::sigh of happiness:: There's a frood who really knows where his towel is.

*points to towel tied around neck* Tee hee... mine's blue with a green trim and a big purple flower on it. On a night like this (cold but definately bearable) I tie it round my neck, but when it hits December/January time it's so big it's great for wrapping up in when I'm on the computer!
Oh, and in summer I tie it on my head to keep the sun off me. I tend to ignore the looks I get... wink

I got a new one for Christmas (as you can tell, as I've been talking about it in every other thread) from my friend. It's lime green and says "DON'T PANIC" on it in black letters. As my friend says, "Now, if the Earth faces imminent destruction and your only hope is to hitch a ride on a passing spaceship, you're prepared".
