Marluxia shook his head at the hyper ninja. He had been waiting for Saix to return with more food, but she had instead, along with the good news of a raft. A surprised expression came when Saix gave up the chance of getting food first. He wasn't exactly expecting to be last, but seeing as he had not done anything but argue, he found it fitting. The man looked over at Axel with a normal cold stare, but then turned to Saix again.
"I haven't aided in finding the food. Shouldn't you eat next?" he asked calmly. Marluxia ignored the pinching in his stomach, unflinching. He didn't want to be useless, but seeing as he had already attempted to lob Axel's head off in the beginning and done nothing after that, Saix should be the one to eat next.
His mind was on the people in the brown cloaks anyhow. A migraine was slowly approaching too...
((Sorry you had to godmode Marly around a little XD I don't like 2 hour limits to the computer. crying ))

Yuffie finished up the final batch and placed it in front of Marluxia. "Come on, Pinky, it's dinner time. You need to eat, too, ya know." As soon as all three men begun to eat, she started to put away the rest of the food. "I have enough for breakfast tomorrow, but I'll need to go out and get more afterwards. I'll show you the raft then."
Damn. Did I just cook dinner for three strangers? I'm scaring myself now. Aerith and Leon would be shocked. She let out a small giggle. Correction. Aerith would be shocked. Leon would just be an a*****e and tell me what all I did wrong.....I wonder what they're doing right now. Maybe Cloud's come back....maybe the group sent over there's giving them hell.
A drop of water fell to her hand, knocking her out of her memories. "What the-" She felt another drop roll down her cheek, making her realize she had just started crying. What the hell? I almost never cry; ninja's can't cry. She covered her face with her hands. "Guys, I'm tired. Would you all mind if I went to sleep now?"

Marluxia nodded at Saix, then finally started eating when Yuffie placed the food in front of him. He didn't bother correcting her, telling the ninja that his name was Marluxia. The man was too exhausted anyway. The migraine had settled into his head, and he knew that would probably be a problem when try to fall alseep. From what he remembered sleeping had always been a problem...his mind wouldn't stop thinking.
A sigh escaped his lips as he finished eating, and he looked up at Yuffie. Marluxia raised an eyebrow as she covered her face with her hands, but thought nothing of it. They were all tired. He looked over at Saix, who looked as if he had just fallen asleep. He stood up, walked around Axel and leaned against the cold wall, his head on his shoulder. He would just rest his eyes...he needed to think things through just a few more times....The migraine left soon, and a peaceful expression was now on his face.
So much for just resting his eyes.

This should work.... Yuffie had re-emptied her pack, placed all of its contents to the side, and placed it on the ground as a make-shift pillow. Then, she took off her vest and placed it over her shoulders. Finally, she curled up into a ball, with her head resting on her pack, and closed her eyes.
The tears were still streaming from underneath her lids, even as she tried to fall asleep. Dammit, what the hell is wrong with me? She opened her mouth, as if to say she was fine to those who may be watching, but only a whimper came out. s**t. She bit her lip to prevent any more self-betrayals, and turned over on her other side so that her back was to the others. Why do I have to be such a kid? Maybe if I just let it out quietly, it'll be over soon and no one would know.
She allowed the tears to flow from her shut eyes, biting down until her lip bled as not to draw attention. After what seemed like hours, she calmed down slightly and was able to finally fall asleep.

Axel finished his meal in silence, and immediatly after feigned sleeping. Then the each breath of every other dropped to even and relaxed exhales. Then...the emotions burst out.
Axel suddenly sat up, tears pouring out of his eyes. His past had been tearing him up inside. All his pain. His dead mother. His b*****d father who shouldn't have been given his life. Everything came out in those tears.
Soft sobs were heard in the cave. He just hoped he wasn't the only light sleep, and that no one else would wake. He was an insomniac, and wouldn't sleep until much later. He was engulfed in the sadness he'd been keeping inside. He wanted a friend here with him. But all of his friends were in that Radiant Garden.
Xigbar, Roxas, and the newly be-friended Zexion, were all in the other world wiht each other. Though, Zexion would not be of much comfort for Axel, Roxas or Xigbar would. all he had here were these people. Saix: Who wanted to lob his head of. Marluxia: Same as Saix. Yuffie: an accquaintence that couldn't help at all.
Damn, why did having a heart hurt? Why did it make him sob so helplessly? So far it'd only made him feel weak and defensless. It'd put him in a depression. Axel's been wallowing in his own depression since he woke up in Twighlight Town. But he'd denied it passage, bottled it up. He feigned his normal self. He now poured out that bottle, opened the handle on the faucet of his emotions, as well as his tears.

Marluxia was asleep for only a few minutes before his subconcious woke him up. It was the sound of crying. Was he dreaming about crying? Maybe he was remembering his past? Then it became clear that he wasn't just hearing it in his dream. Somebody was really crying. His eyes opened easily, their piercing deep blue stare settled onto the image of Axel, sobbing. They showed no pity, just a cold, unnerving stare. Why was he crying. Then something thumped against his chest. His heart. Another beat, pulsing and gushing sympathy into him. He narrowed his eyes. How could he even feel slight sympathy for the annoying pyromaniac. Another figure caught his eye.
Saix.
Apparently he wasn't the only one who felt a little sympathy....but Saix looked like he actually cared. The whole setting at the moment was surprising to him. Marluxia had never took the time to actually think about Axel in a sympathetic way. There was definitely more to the man than the giant ego. It was just the ego itself that blocked the view of the inside. Marluxia shook the thoughts off, a bit taken back at them. What was he thinking? He wasn't an expert with emotions or mental stress...but he did know what it felt like.
His eyes stared on, cold and unflinching, watching Axel weep.

Axel's right arm was wrapped tightly around his thin middle, clutching his side in despair. His right hand, dripping with tears, was covered his eyes. As Saix asked what was wrong, and even started to care, Axel would usually have been shocked, or even tease him about it. But now, his heart was in such agony, he couldn't do anything but sob softly to himself.
"G-Go away...S-Saix..." Axel said through sobs, "I...I don't want...y-your pity..." Red hair shook softly with bony shoulders. He couldn't believe it. Saix was awake, and now everything was ruined. He had waited until they'd fallen asleep, so that no one would see him cry. So that he wouldn't seem what he thought he was: weak with a defensless heart.
Saix knew what he was. He was there when Axel was brought into the Organization, still a 6-year-old boy. His appearance had changed, but his base was still a young child. His heart was weak, and the only thing protecting it was a personality that Axel had made when he was "happy". He'd never been truly happy, and he knew that. Ael cried near every day, because he was weak. Axel didn't have a heart in the Organization, but felt "happiness", though that was a false emotion. And now that he had his heart back, he'd only felt despair under the charade of "Axel", the one that everyone knew. And now, here he was, bawling again like a child.

"Wh-What's going on?" Yuffie had been abruptly woken up by the sounds of various people talking right by her ear. As her eyes focused in the dark she was hit by the unusual sight of Axel crying, Marluxia not trying to kill him and....Is that Saix trying to comfort him? s**t, am I still dreaming? While Saix was talking, she quietly moved over behind Axel, staying in the shadows as not to scare anyone. When the blue-haired man had withdrawn his hands, she wrapped her arms around the torso of the younger man, pulling him close, but not close enough to raise questions about the nature of her gesture.
"It's okay, Axel. You don't have to be scared anymore. You're safe right now. Now, tell us what's wrong."
She kept her arms around him as he cried, waiting for him to calm down and explain what was wrong. "Just let it out," she whispered "Nothing good can come from keeping things inside." She rested her chin on his shoulder, not realizing the faint light was highlighting the fact that she too had been crying recently. "We're not going to let anything happen to you, don't worry."

Axel was still sobbing to himself as Saix told him to open up, even as he was forced to look at the man. He didn't want to open himself. He didn't want to reveal his weakness. But now that all contact was dropped with Saix, he began to sob continuessly again.
Then at the mention of that little boy, Axel thought it might atcually be best to share what was wrong, and some of the pain, if Saix was willing to take it. Then the sobbing red-head felt arms wrap around his waist. This scared the hell out of him. He heard Yuffie's voice, and immediatly whipped his eyes and peeled her off of him.
"I-...I'm not scared...and don't come after me." Axel said weakly, biting back more sobs as best he could. He left the cave as fast as he could, and burned a wall of flames in front of the entrance. He was trying to find a place where they wouldn't notice him, so he went and sat in the brush by the waterfall. Perfect. It'd cover his sobs, and they probably wouldn't notice him. There he could be alone, and try [and fail] to make himself feel better.
