"Okay, maybe the pipe was a bit harsh." Mayu admitted, "But he did deserve the slap!"
She froze for a moment as a sharp ringing came to her ears, followed by a dull headache which began to intensify by the second. Maybe this was what they called withdrawl.

Snorting at the female, Ka picked Loki up and glared at Demare next. "You could say that I'm Loki's guardian. And it looks like you two have become some kind of gang... or an equivalent of such." Positioning Loki on his back, Ka then bent over and picked up the origami pieces, placing them haphazardly into the box.
He stopped, however, as he noticed one lone origami butterfly, smiling very slightly at it. So Loki had completed one, after all.
"I expect an apology... perhaps later. One does not just act upon peer pressure, as you have done. It does not bode well for anyone." Another sniff, and Ka turned his head to the side. "I know Loki chides for a fight, but that still does not make it acceptable." And then, without another word, he turned his back on them both and started to walk away.

Demare stayed quiet as the man spoke, watching him take Loki away. He was right, technically. Clare had given into his anger, and allowed himself to do what he did. Why couldn't he stop himself, anyway? It was strange. The angel had actually... ENJOYED toying with the boy, fighting with him. A part of him had almost wanted to taste the hyena's blood.
Perhaps an apology would be in order later. He said nothing for now as he turned his eyes to Mayu, idly wondering if it would be wise to spend time with her at all.
"Are you okay?" he asked, a bit concerned with the look on her face.

"Headache, is all," Mayu said, voice slightly shaking. She really would have to think twice before consuming such large amounts of sugar again.
She glanced up as the man left with Loki, making note to send him something in the mail later. The war wasn't over yet. Maybe a voodoo doll, if she could figure out how to make one.

Demare could tell it was a little more than just a simple headache, but he decided not to press into it any further. He retreived his scarf and dagger, stepping close to Mayu for a moment to make sure her nose was okay, remembering the lizard attached to it earlier. Everything seemed fine... That was good.
"You should probably get home then, hm?" he said with a weak smile, tying his scarf back around his neck and putting Mordanath back where he usually rested against his right side. "I'll catch up with you on another day. I hope you feel better, Mayu."
The halfling then turned and started to walk back the way he came, picking up his book along the way but not opening it to start reading again. Instead, he hugged it tight against his chest, his wings folding in close to his back as he headed toward home.

"Yeah, see you later." Mayu waved, then began heading home as well. She would have to get some aspirin for the headache when she got back, and she was feeling a tad bit depressed. So this was the bad part of eating so much sugar.
She sniffled at the singed smell her hair gave off, and reminded herself to send Loki that voodoo doll -- that smell would probably stay for a week, with a good washing. Petting the kitten in her arms, she yawned and continued the long trek home.
