Some of the different stones for each month are from the same element, but there are some that aren't. Example: Another one for January could be Rose Quartz, which is fire and water. So that one's fromt the same element as Garnet. Another one for February is Onyx, which is fire. So two of the possible stones for February come from two different elements. The one's I used are the most traditionally used, but of course, there are others that you can use. Here's a link that gives each of the different stones for each month: Birthstones

My suggestion would be to combine both sets: try out one stone from one set, then try out one from the other set. Choose which ever one feels right: sometimes crystals choose you. Usually, if you place your hand over them they'll feel warm, or if one just catches your eye/tugs your sleeve then pick that one!

Also if you always feel alot of energy from one specific stone more than others, chances are you've got a good personal connection with them...
So that stone will be more powerful for you than it might be for others...
you can also use it to represent you in spells or readings of tarot (and baybe rune castings... I'm not sure whether or not it'd have much use with runes)...
you can also include it in circles and keep it with you for protection and properties.

I've recently set up a Crystal thread in the Guild Spell resource: it'd be greatly appreciated if you would impart your wisdom onto that. 3nodding
Ideally, what I'd like is a crystal sub-fourm. Sorry to keep wittering on about it.. just, well, I suppose it's my current wish list item.

can you move threads to sub-forums they weren't previously in? If so I tink we should put up threads we would have in the sub-forum, and move them there when theres a few good ones going.

I like the way some other guilds have it...
They have sections... Instead of like a really popular thread, made into a few threads in a sub-forum... they may be bigger though...

What happens if you're connected to *all* elements? Is there a specific elements which you do fit under, because all other elements are contained in that? @_@

I can't remember, but I think I read that Akasha is the element that created all the other elements.
I guess if you were connected to all of the elements that you would just say you were connected to all of them.

Often people will change their minds to their element at least once...
Some people may have a personal connection that'll come about in later life that'll change their mind...
I donno...
I suppose if you're connected to all equally for the time being... Then you're just connected to all.
