This conversation seemed to almost have a dizzying effect on Ming-Ue. A star warrior? She hadn't even considered it until today when she overheard them talking about it. And there was a mark on the back of her neck? That was news too. Of course it wasn't quite as surprising since it was in a place one cannot easily see. She stared for a moment, and lightly touched the back of her neck. "Is it really there...?" She blinked a few times, not sure whether she should be angry or relieved. It was considered an honor to be a celestial warrior, but then again, it cursed her relationship with her father. Her eyes widened. "Father... I Have to tell my father! He's sure to take me in again, or at least forgive me!"
She looked between the two men again, remembering her manners. "Oh. I'm very sorry. My name is Ming-Ue." She gave a small bow and looked to Haku. It is a pleasure to meet you my prince, and you... er... Shen, was it?"

"Well Ming-Ue, it's a pleasure to meet you. And you can call me Haku, at least out of the palace. You needn't worry about that. We are going to head to the Capital, to see if the Priestess has arrived yet. Maybe on the way we can figure out what your power is? That is, if you want to go with us."

"Yep! My name's Shen Tao! Ming-Ue, right? You got a pretty name." Shen casually put his hands in his pockets and stiffled a yawn.
"Yeah, you should come with us. Yer a Celestial Warrior, and a Warrior has to be there for their Priestess and maybe the Priestess is at the Palace as we speak! But... But if you don't wanna, I ain't gonna stop ya. Ya can go do whatever ya wanna do." Shen nodded, thinking he had said something sagely.

The way Haku had said "on the way" seemed almost more like a command than an invitation to go. He was, after all, the prince. Ming-Ue nodded, not just out of respect, but also because she understood that he was probably right. If she WAS a warrior as they had suggested, she should probably just go to the capitol and at least find out what was going on, if not officially joining up with them.
Her power... "I know what my power is." She looked down a little, remembering the shame it had brought her. "But it doesn't always work, so it'll have to wait." She began fixing her hair up into buns to keep it out of her way.My father will have to wait. I'll see him another day...

Haku lead the two warriors toward the road, knowing his driver should be there soon. "You know what your power is already? What is it?" He was curious about the look on her face when she'd said that. The prince smiled politely, wanting to be friends with these two, though it was hard with all the fighting going on the the palace, he found trusting people difficult.

"Ya know what it is yet ya don't wanna tell?" Shen sighed. "Fine, have it yer way." He was about to inquire about her father, since she had mentioned him, but decided against that. She had also said something about 'forgiveness' and that made it sound as though they had some sort of problem. Shen had never been in a real family so he wouldn't be able to help. She slowed his pace to match Ming-Ue's. He leaned over to her ear and whispered,
"Hey, Ming, look at Haku-buddy's hands, then mine, then yours, then back to Haku's." He held out his hand so she could compare it to her's and Haku's.
"Do you see?"

Ming-Ue closed her eyes as she walked. They both seemed to want to know, and if she truley was a warrior, she should at least get along with those she would be traveling with, possibly for some time. "I control fire. It just sort of appears when I'm mad, I don't know why... I think if I can figure the feeling out, I can do it at will, but I haven't been able to yet..." She looked at her hand, thinking about her powers, when Shen showed her his and whispered to her to comapre hands. She did as he told her and look between them. "What of it...?" She asked curiously. What an odd man...

Shen grinned. "Ya don't see it? Haku-buddy has girly hands!" Shen snickered, but then stopped and put one of his hands back in his pockets and used the other to stroke his chin.
"So, if I heard ya right, Ming, you control fire?" Shen paused and then shivered with excitement.
"That is so cool! I wish I had that kind of power! It's just like my hero's celestial power!"

The carriage rumbled up, stopping in front of them. The prime minister came out of and Haku blinked. "What are you doing here Shuro?"
"The Emperor needs you back immediately, the Priestess was just brought to the palace by Celestial Warrior Hikitsu!"
Haku blinked, "Truly? This is wonderful news! I have found two celestial warriors myself! It is sure to make her trials easier that I just happened upon them!"
The prime minister looked at the two with them, "Are you sure they are warriors?"
"Of course I am, you're going to question me? Get in the carriage, we need to get to the palace." He shooed him inside, then looked back at the warriors with a smile. "Let's go!"

Shen gladly followed Haku into the carriage.
"Is it true, Haku-buddy? The priestess has arrived? And a Hikitsu is there? Wow! This is so exciting! I can't wait 'til I meet the priestess!" Shen grinned but then nervousness claimed his face.
"Hey, Haku-buddy... I've... I've never been to anything fancy like a Palace... How're ya suppose to act in something that fancy-like?"

((Oh, for SHAME, Shen!! Fire isn't Tasuki's celestial power... It's speed... *clicks tounge* Anyways...))
Ming-Ue looked at the prime minister with contempt... She didn't like him, questioing authourity. She smiled at Haku, hearing his eagerness to get to the capitol. It felt good to mean something in society, rather than being cast aside.
"Hey, Haku-buddy... I've... I've never been to anything fancy like a Palace... How're ya suppose to act in something that fancy-like?"
She snickered a bit at Shen's nervousness. It was cute in an odd way. She would help him out, but she only knew how to act like a lady, gentlemen mannerisms were probably different. "Perhaps it was good that I changed into my nice clothes if I'm going to the palace, eh?" She asked pleasently.

((Taru knows... But Shen doesn't. xD I wanted to add to his child-likeness. Besides, don't you think fire-weilding is more appealing to a kid then just speed? ))
Shen looked at Ming-Ue.
"What's so funny?" Shen was still a bit nervous and didn't find anything funny at the moment.

They all climbed into the carriage. It was a rather short ride to the capital, alittle over an hour or so. They were all excited though, but he didn't really know what to talk about, so he stayed quiet.

Ming-Ue was silent most of the trip, wondering what was going to happen, what she might say to her father when she saw him again... She stared out the carriage window, joining in conversation every now and then. When it had gone quiet, she looked back to Shen. "Who did you say your hero was?" She was interested in this. Maybe if someone before her could do it, she could learn how to control her power as well.
((I say after a post or two of Shen learning how to act. And you're right about the fire thing, that makes sense. ^^))
