Actually...in the manga, Kai managed to create an attack that was more powerful than Tyson's. I'll try to find time to scan it in...and locate the volume that had that scene in it. sweatdrop
Icey~x~Tala: Again in the manga, Kai and Tala battled each other, but unofficially. And the entire thing wasn't shown; just the initial launch, and the outcome. stare darn shortcut flashbacks...

It was quite unbalanced, Kai had Dranzer MS and used it against Yuriy's Wolborg MS, it lost too easily. But yes, it was just a practice match.
