immortal mutsumi i would have to say that i like the kind that starts out as friends and you almost don't see it coming then its like "holy crap!!" then you look back through the pages and say "well i didn't see that coming" --or-- seemingly evil guy captures girl, tries being nice to her, she hates him because he took her away from everything she new, she begins to see another side to him, giant mob comes looking for him, old lover she didn't like tries to kill him, she learns that she only loves him, ugly capture gets killed, "she loves him loves him", he turns to handsome prince, happily ever after!!! awe yes beauty and the beast, my favorite disney movie!!! That's kind of like what Sword of Darkness by Sherrilyn Kenyon is, except Kerrigan is hot in the beginning and he doesn't exactly stop being evil. Ah I love it. (:

immortal mutsumi oh sweet, if i get a moment i think that i'll look into that. You should! It's the first book in her Lords of Avalon series. And it's written under Kenyon's pen name, Kinley MacGregor. I forgot for a second there. Such a good book. The ending was priceless.

I love...farfetched romances, in worlds of fantasy, or in our world with fantasitc things going on. It just makes me want to go...
*SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE* When they overcome the major plot obsitacle and are like "OMG I LOVE YOU" "OMG I LOVE YOU TOO" *glomp* But in a subtle way >.>
I especially like it when the girl gets the damsel in distress thing going, or if the guy has issues.

Animemoon I especially like it when the girl gets the damsel in distress thing going, or if the guy has issues. It's so much better when the guy has issues. But not so many that it makes him unlikeable. More like the tortured soul, uber-mysterious type. I love those. (:

The damsel in distress thing has been a little overdone much, but then again, so has the "guy with issues" one sweatdrop

D; I thought he and Hallia made a better match, anyway. The Merlin books were an amazing read, though. ^^

i like it when they don't know each other yet... and when they meet, they don't fall in love instantly... then there's some issues (boy/girl)... then they fall in love gradually... etc... can't explain that well... ^^;;

My all time favorites are when the couple can't stand each other, but they can't stand not being together and they end up arguing all the time. That angry love. I like the ones where they start out as friends and one is oblivious to the other ones feelings even though they slowly find themselves falling deeper and deeper in love with them, they just don't realise it until something dramatic happens.
But then there's the sweet yet traditional boy meets girl, girl is curious, and a lot of chaotic, but fun adventures ensue. Ah, Love. heart

Personnaly I prefer friends first, or hate to love (like much ado about nothing). I am not a huge fan of love at first sight. It rarely seems to be this case in real life. Though I must make exceptions as my fave romance has love at first sight.
Also ppl who just can't seem to accept that they love a person. Like Ranma 1/2. Though they gets annoying if it goes on to long
