Hey everyone. I'm Katie, 23, been into PoTO for about a good 10 years. ^_^; I was all about waiting Phantom movies/cartoons back in the day, and now that it's coming to the big screen, I'm all about it again. <3 I'm reading "Phantom" for the billionth time to tide me over until the movie.

Good monsieurs et mademoiselles, I am very honored to see so many people who like the Phantom of the Opera; though I do hope it is not because of the movie only. I have gone to see the musical on Broadway twice, so far, and it has been only three years since I first saw it.... but... I have a distant memory of seeing the Phantom of the Opera once when I was very young. I was watching Wishbone... and I remember very clearly the prominent figure of a man dressed in black, playing an organ. A few days later though that episode began to fade from my mind - and it was not until my 7th grade year when my class took a field trip to go see The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway first the first time - I left the auditorium crying - that that distant memory of the phantom at the organ came back to me. After this, I got myself the Susan Kay book and the original novel by Gaston Lereoux (do not harm me if it is spelled incorrectly) I loved the Susan Kay book. The way it is narrated lets you grow to know the person who is narrating. There is so much I know about the story. I almost know the book as well as the palm of my hand. I would die if it ever went off Broadway... and I hope the movie will not harm it in any way... but I still am meeping faith in ALW. He called it "his son." Well... he'd better be a bloody good father then. Now, I do believe that is enough. You know my name, I am 15, and I live in Connecticut. It shall be an honor meeting you all. Adieu. Your Obedient Servant, ~The Red Death~

Hellos everyone. I go by Dane in this realm called the internet and I have been a phan for about. 11 years or so. My love of the story started with my discovery of the book in the middle school library around 7th grade and only grew more when I was introduced to the wonderful music when I had to play the Phantom of the Opera medley in 8th grade.
I've seen the tour group production of POTO twice, once prior to my starting 9th grade and once again this past summer whee I love this story and I can't wait for the movie to come out so I can watch the story over and over again.
With the time between tour groups performing it in my area (about an 8 year gap.) and my financial inability to see it in New York. (I'm so poor crying ) I welcome any opportunity to experience this wonderful story again and again.

Your Obedient Servant, ~The Red Death~ Welcome to the guild. whee heart It's nice to meet you! Alot of people are here not just because of the movie, but because they're crazy phans who love the many forms of POTO, so don't worry about that. 3nodding Although we do talk alot about the movie coming up and the ALW musical, this guild's for any and all versions of POTO (Even including Dario Argentino's version if you wish. xp sweatdrop ). Personally, I think the movie's going to be awesome-go-nuts and I can't wait for it. heart Welcome to this humble guild, Dane! It's nice to meet you too. 4laugh heart

I also have all of my friends into the Phantom. *evil chuckle* I do believe I have rubbed off on them far, far too much. But it is quite amusing when they come to me and ask me questions.

Hey yall, I go by Erin on the internet, and I'll be 18 in 6 days. I'm from Louisiana I am an absolutely HUGE fan of tPotO musical, which I saw for the first time on broadway about 2 1/2 years ago, and again for my birthday last year. The novel (Gaston Leroux (sp?)) is one of my most reread, though i am slightly worried about whether they can make the movie without ruining it (which is how most book->movie tries go) I love Erik!!!! I love the Persian and hate Raoul. PotO heart is my favorite musical, followed by Les Miserables. 3nodding
