*waves a flag around* o.o;

Being in the midsts of a bunch of religious, self-righteous people around here, being something other than straight is seriously looked down upon. Personally, I don't care what people think around here (Hell, I'm dating a tranvestite).

At least I'm not scared or ashamed of what I am.

A guy at my school found out i was bi and went and told EVERYONE. Now i'm wondering if it's wrong to like someone of the same sex, and why they think it is.

Yeah, I don't think we should judge by who someone loves. Because...in terms a homophobe would understand... "It's better to love someone of the same sex than to not love at all." Dontcha think? ^^

Actually, I've been kinda down about it recently too. I told some of my friends, and two of them...the second they heard, it's like their opnion of me instantly and totally changed. I don't ever talk to her anymore. stare Some people are just stupid.

You're you, and that's all there is to it. So, people can tell the whole school I'm a lesbian, and I wouldn't care. Hell, my friend who's questioning(and gay-friendly of course), had a bunch of kids read the card thingie of the Day of Silence and she said that they made remarks like, "Gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered....EWWW!! Isn't that gross!?" Or some of my girlfriend's friends(who she hasn't told yet) say stuff like "What's next...cats marrying dogs?"

Yeah, be proud if you're proud. Even if you're not necessarily proud, don't EVER be ashamed. biggrin

Yeah thats the problem I had for the longest time. Everyone told me that homosexuals were wrong. It's taken me years to become comfortable with myself, to really actually love myself. I felt as if I was "bad" because I wanted to be with girls and not boys and tried to act like everyone else.

Nowadays however I feel more pride in who I am and I know that being a lesbian isn't who I am. It's not EVERYTHING. It is merely a part of everything that makes up ME...

some people consider it wrong, but I don't..........it is perfectly normal to me that I like the same sex. It is really important on what you think thought, everyone else's thoughts may not cure you uncomfortabilty(if that is even a word).

No, of course not, People just think its "wrong" because they're frightened of something they dont understand. Either that or A) They're uncomfortable with their own sexuality, or B) They're Jealous >XD

So basically, it's wonderful to be proud of your own sexuality since >.> Most people arnt.

Its not wrong... We (me and my gf) participated in the Day Of Silence on April 13 and we had t-shirts alot of people were mad and upset and even tried to have me kicked outta school. I don't know why they do what they do but we have to stand for what we beileve or we will not exists.
