Uchiau let the kage speak her mind before asking him to stay, his only reply was a light shake of the head. Once she took an item from the desk he looked at it for a moment befor taking it lightly from her palm and placed it in his tool pack. Bowing lightly he turned towards the doorway.

"I'll make sure the Hokage gets this, and understands you'll be there..."

Uchiau then took hand of the doorknob and proceeded to exit the office.

Kinami waved him goodbye, then sat down heavily. Her head thumped to the desk just as someone knocked on the door. She looked up, startled and wondering if the ninja came back for a reason. Instead, she spotted Navalie in the open doorway.

"Hello, Navie, come in." She waved the girl in, not losing a step. "I need to talk to you about something very important." She waited for the girl to sit.

navalie came in and sat down."what is it you need to talk to me about?"she said wondering what she might say

Kinami waited a moment, gathering her thoughts. "Here's the deal. I need you to answer this question honestly, completely, and I need to be able to trust that you're taking it seriously." She took a breath, drawing things out for a moment longer. "Are you really, truly ready to be a genin?"

navalie sighed."well i am not really sure. if i become a genin there will be higher risks and chances of possible death. But knowing that i guess so." navalie said and kinda relaxed in the chair.

Kinami nodded. "There is a higher chance, because you actually go on missions. But are you ready?" She leaned forward, resting her elbows on the desk and really looking at Navalie. "Do you think you should graduate the academy, or do you think it would be better for you to wait a while longer?"

navlie felt like she was being pressured.she wanted to graduate but she was still thinking. " if a graduate i will go on deadly missions and have a more likely chance of dieing but if i stay i would be here learning a tad bit more and i would stay in here and wait much longer. i have been longing to graduate... aghh "
she then sat up straight."ill do whatever it takes to become a great ninja. i would very much like to graduate and take the risks." she said proudly.

Kinami raised an eyebrow. "That may be true, but you haven't answered my question. Are you really, truly ready to graduate? If you graduate, will you be able to keep up with your peers, or will you pull them back? Will you be able to stand on your own, or will you be a burden to your cell? Do you know enough to stand your ground in a battle, or are there some things you're a bit shaky about?"

Kinami rested her head on folded hands, her elbows balancing on the edge of the desk. "My job is to pass only those who know what they're doing. I give the final say. If I send someone out prematurely, no matter how well their scores are, and they are killed, or injured, or taken captive, it's riding on my shoulders. I don't want to send out a young child like you if it means your death."

She leaned back slightly. "So tell me honestly, looking into my eyes and being completely honest." She waited a moment. "Are you ready for the responsibility of being a genin?"

navalie started thinking harder. she was serious. she could keep up well with her peers. only she wondered if she would pull them back .she would never try to pull anyone back she would practice the same jutsu over and over if she had to just so she could keep up. she could stand on her own very well but she wondered if she would be a burden even though she doesnt try to be. she had a mental war going on inside her head. she didnt know what to do at all.
"I'm ready, i truly think i can handle the responsibility ."

Kinami waited a moment, noticing that Navalie hadn't quite met her eyes. ((Disregard the last part if you think it's god-modding.)) "Look in my eyes and tell me, Navalie. There are horrors that even genin see, things that can't be predicted but happen anyway. People have died that shouldn't have. They've gotten injured, their careers have been brought to a screeching hault because they've gone mad, or they've lost a limb and are unable to fight. I need you to look at me and tell me. Are you ready?"

navalie looked closer and completely met the kages eyes. she stared into them knowing full well if she graduated she might not live long but even so knowing those risks would make her work harder than before so she would become an even greater ninja. she knew that she might see great horrors but she really thought she could manage. she was being presured and she wanted to scream but what good does screaming do... nothing and she thought of how if she srceamed she wouldnt be a real ninja.
navalie then looked at her so closely she started right into her eyes and didnt focus off.. she held her eyes without blinking.she was serious. she wanted to graduate.
"i am ready. ill do whatever it takes to be a true ninja."she said still focused.

Kinami sat back in her chair, folding her hands in her lap. She stared at Navalie, never letting the girl look away, meeting her stare for stare. She sat perfectly still for well over a minute, before nodding slightly. "Here's the deal. You barely passed the exam," she began without preamble.

"I honestly had some doubts on your ability and preparedness to be a genin. It's a lot more responsibility than an academy student." She didn't pause, keeping her tone completely neutral. "I still have doubts on your ability. I don't think you're completely ready to be a genin. I think that you ought to stay in the academy and wait until the next exam.

"However, a pass is a pass. You can graduate, since becoming a ninja and using all your strengths and weaknesses in your profession is your own decision. I wanted to be sure of your resolve." Kinami's eyes, which had been highly intense before, softened slightly.

"Navalie, don't prove me right. Don't let this be a wrong decision- do the best you can, and then do better. My thoughts, my doubts, prove them wrong and keep proving me wrong." It was a clear dismissal.

after hearing what the tsuchkage had to say she sat up from her chair and bowed knowing full well that she was dismissed."thank you!" she said softly and in a flash she was gone.

Kinami let out a long sigh, slouching in her chair and looking incredibly tired. She hated being so strict and serious. It reminded her just how old she was getting, and though she had no problem with that, she didn't like being reminded of all the secrets she knew, all the danger she could be put in. Not only that, but there was the responsibility of the entire village, and though she loved her village and position, it was so stressful to know that one mistake could cost someone their life...!

Kinami rolled her head for a moment, trying to release the tension that was building up. "Blah...I need a short vacation from my vacations...." she said wryly to nothing.

However, her sentence had its effect. The mood was broken, and Kinami leapt to her feet. "Enough sulking, girlie! Time to go do something fun." And, without further ado, she strode from her overly stuffy, much too somber office and out into the daylight.
