[yeah i remember.]
Clara looked around at sephy. The yound assassin was looking down nervously at the ducks setting up the snow cannons. 'what's wrong?' asked Telia. Sephy was hesitant. 'well... a clue to what race I am - I'm allergic to the cold. which narrows it down to about ten.' 'Cold?' 'yes. Cold. I - I think i could die from it. I've gotten pretty close before. I'm alright for a few hours. then I start to get weak... hallucinate... and finally pass out.' Telia looked shocked. 'The cold can really do that to you?' the doctor stared at her. 'intriguing. you'd better get in, then.' 'there is no way in.' whispered one of the priestesses. 'they locked the door. we can't go in until this fight is done.' The Doctor sighed and fell backwards wearily 'how stupid was that...' at that moment, the ducks fired, and they were all covered in icy snow. sephy let out a wavering 'oh...'

"MYlss, has the situation changed in any way?" asked one of the preistesses. "No, they're still qucking mad." Mylss said cheerfully as she ate an apple (not a potato). "Really." remarked the priestess. "You have a styrange sense of humour if you think that this is a joke." "Nope." Mylss said. "But if you ever told someone, yeah, i fought in a war against the Evil RTubber Ducks, they're more likely to die from laughter than belive you aren't they?" "I suppose so," said the doctor. "IS there any weakness?" asked telia. "i think there's one," replied the doctor. "They like bubble baths." offered Mylss.

Telia assesed the situation quickly. Her first thought was to protect Sephy - after all, everyoen else could prtect themselves, but Sephy could die simply from the cold. Her mind turned to the inevitable. Magic. No! Bu perhaps she could help in some other way..
She took a squarish item out of her pocket and clicked it. "Here!" she said to Sephy, passing the item. It was one of those heat pack things, you know, with the clicky disk. "It should keep you warm for the while, but don't get it too clost to the snow, it'll melt the snow instead of keeping you warm."
"We learnt that in science." Clara noted, spitting out a handful of snow. "Of course, we didn't know snow was this cold.."
Sephy took the heat pack slowly. "We have to fight back. But..how..?" Then, she smiled.
"Snow." Telia commented.
"Yeah, the stuff we're covered in."
"Snow."
The Doctor finally got what she was trying to say, hauling himself upwards to speak. Both ends of his scarf were hidden in the layer of snow that still encased his calves.
"Snow." he said.
Sephy turned to him. "Not you too! What's so good about the cold...?"
"Ever heard of snowballs?"
Telia already had a pile ready to go.
"How do we fire them?"
This time, it was Clara who came up with an idea first.
"Slingshot." "We dont' have enough time or materials to make one large enough." Telia remarked, frowning with concentration.
Sephy was still looking at the Doctor. "Hold on..yes, yes! Doctor, give me that scarf!"
The Doctor grabbed his scarf protectively. "What are you going to do to it?" "Slingshot. Oh dont' worry, you can still keep it on. Just pass me one end of it." Sephy said as the Doctro gave a small whimper. "But my scarf.." "Desperate times call for desperate measures. Look at it this way. If we don't do somethign soon, you won't have a scarf anymore - you would have to regenerate!"

'ah, yes.' There was another blast of snow from below (no rhyme intended) Telia thought for a moment. was there even a spell for keeping someone warm? Sephy smiled. 'Don't worry, theres about an hour before anything dire starts to happen. In any case, we'd better get this slingshot up. Are you feeling better, Doctor?' He nodded, slowly. 'I'd be better with a cup of tea, though.' Sephy took one end, while Telia took the other. The Doctor managed to pick himself up and stagger over to where the pile of snowballs lay. 'Clara... you might need to do this. I don't think I can.' he smiled wearily. 'sure!' Clara grabbed the snowball, placed in on the inside of the scarf, pulled back and fired. There was immense quacking and annoyance from below. A deluge of icy water was suddenly fired back at them all. which apart from drenching them all, melted a good part of the snow. Luckily is had missed the pile. Clara fired another. And another. and another. 'Got one!' she punched the air. 'It's... oh my god...' Her face fell and she turned pale. 'I just killed someone...' She started to shake uncontrollably. 'I just killed... I...' She started to cry.

Telia went over to her. "Get a hold of yourself! It was only a duck! Sometimes death is inevitable! Think of it this way, it was either them, or you!" She took Clara by the shoulders, her voice softenling slightly. "Look, you go hold that end, and don't look down, okay? I'll fire instead."
Clara nodded slightly, going over to hold one side of the slingshot, steadying it. Telia took her place firing, piling several snowballs in in at once. She worked steadily and randomly, sometimes changing an angle, or how many snowballs she put in. It was always an advantage to have the suprise.
"We're running out of snowballs!"

(( rofl ))
Mylss watched the snowball fight. She walked into the control room and found a mini box (it was called a mini box because it had' mInI BOX on the top written like that too) and opened it. there was a tiny switch in there that was attached to something that glowed strangely and bright green.
She took it and went back to the snowball fight.
"HEy, doctor..." she called. "Yes?" "Try using this!" she tossed the tiny switch to the doctor. "What is it?" "er...call it a weather generator?" Mylss suggested.

He grinned, and accepted the 'weather generator.' he poined, and clicked. He and his friends were drenched in a massive deluge of water. 'oops.' He clicked again, and it began to hail. 'get it right!' shouted Sephy, her teeth chattering. 'Right.' He clicked again, and it began to snow. The priestesses looked confused. 'what's going on?' asked one, coming up to the Doctor. 'could I please have some tea?' Telia, Sephy and Clara began making snowballs. Clara felt the icy snow trickle down her collar, and squealed. 'what's the matter?' telia whirled around, sabre raised. 'it's okay... just snow.' Sephy drew a gun. 'hold on.' she aimed at the snowball pile, and a spray of something metallic came out of it. 'that should give them something to wuack about.' 'A needle gun?' asked mlyss with interest. 'I've always wanted one of those.' 'You can have this one - i have two.' 'how do we put them in, then?' asked telia. Sephy retracted her hands into the sleeves of her jacket. 'Like that.' 'oh.'

Clara held the end of the scarf warily. Sephy grabbed the other end. 'Ouch!' Her hand was bleeding "what the...' 'You should be more careful where you aim that needle gun.' warned a passing priestess. 'yeah.' she agreed. she felt gingerly along the scarf, wincing at times when another needle stabben into her hand. finally, halfway along the scarf, she held it out to mlyss. 'It's safe there. could you hold it for a moment?' 'of course.' Sephy sat back down and proceeded to tentatively pull the needles out of her bleeding palm, as clara carefully loaded the snowballs. There was even more crazy quacking from below. many, many more of the ducks had fallen. sephy pulled out the last needle and proceeded to pull them out of the scarf. 'make sure you get them all out.' called the doctor, as a priestess handed him a cup of tea. 'ah, thank-you. just what I needed.' 'are you sure that the needles were worth it?' asked Clara, looking with fear and disgust at sephy's hand. 'it's getting them a lot faster. so yes. and it's building fear. they think we have more up our sleeves.' 'do you?' 'Yes. yes I do. But I'm praying to whatever god is out there that I won't have to use them.' [sorry about using sephy so much. she seems so much more interesting than clara.]

[thats totally fine. but make clara more interesting if you want... I'll do something for her.]
Sephy pulled out some leather gloves and slid them onto her hands. 'right then.' SHe took claras end of the scarf. Clara wandered off to the edge of the tower, looking out at the ducks. they were quacking madly, dragging their dead and wounded off. They fired the snow cannon again, and there was a soft gasp from sephy. 'I wonder - why are they using the snow cannons?' asked CLara 'They're ducks.' replied the Doctor 'It's their weapon of choice. but sometimes they use catapults to throw snowmen.' suddenly, four of the ducks took flight, holding something between them on a line. 'a coconut?' asked the Doctor questioningly until it hit him on the head. He sat dazed for a moment before blacking out. 'well what now... argh!' Clara yelled out as the ducks picked her up and flew with her back to their tents.

((Well, definently interesting.))
Telia gasped. "What the hell are they doing? Sephy! Give me that scarf!" "What are you going to do, abseil down the wall??" "Yep." "What? No way, not without me!" "Fine! Doctor! Take the scarf and tie it to something. Sephy, let's go."
The Doctor took the scarf reluctantly. "I really don't thinkit's long enough.." he muttered into his cup of tea. But he tied it down anyway, and sat on top of it. "Tea. You could save the world with this stuff." he sighed happily.
Meanwhile, Teliahad just jumped over the edge of the castle with one end of the scarf tied round her waist. She abseiled down with ease and untied the scarf from around her waist, gesturing for Sephy to go. A moment later, they both stood on the relatively dry ground. Sephy shuddered.
"You'd think it'd be warmer without snow around.." she muttered. "Hot air rises. Cold sinks. Basic science. Didn't they teach you anything?"
They both knew of course, that Sephy had been taught some things, but dropped the matter as they approached enemy base.
"What exactly were you planning?" Sephy asked. "I don't know. Let's just inflitrate them, get Clara and go. And try to get rid of them while we're at it." "Right. The basic let's-try-and-accomplish-everything-that-could-possibly-be-possible-and-get-that-all-done-so-we-can-save-the-world type thing?" "Exactly. So they did teach your something after all. Better to get to know one's enemy before attacking them. and you can always get rid of them much more easily form the inside. That's how rot works, after all." "And who knows, we might find a big red button or something to help us." Sephy remarked skeptically.

[oh ha, ha. ((and when I see a big, threatening BUTTON)) very funny, isi.]
Sephy sighed. her upbringing in a sense could have been the most sheltered of anyones, despite her freedom to roam around as she pleased. They made their way through the camps. many times, the leaves and fallen twigs on the ground nearly gave them away. 'Do you have to be so noisy?' hissed Sephy 'Do you have to be so stupid?' Retorted Telia. 'argh.' grunted Sephy 'Stupid and inarticulate, it seems - hey!' Sephy launched herself into the canopy of trees above her, then hung upside down from a branch. 'I'll give you a lift up - it's quieter up here.' Reluctantly, Telia lifted her arms and allowed herself to be pulled up. Sephy seemed to struggle with the lift, nearly dropping telia. When she did get up, sephy had to let go almost immediately. It was lucky that telia had very good balance - comes with fencing -. Leaning against the trunk when she was finished, panting. 'that shouldn't have happened. I'm sorry. Really. I'm sorry.' She buried her head in her hands. 'It's starting. I can feel it. I should have lifted you without a problem. I'm sorry - i nearly dropped you.' SHe paused, looking at the vast streets of branches that stretched before them.

Telia shook her head. "Don't worry about it, it wasn't that far a fall... and I could have grabbed something to swing my way back up. Hey, a few years back, I might even have managed the jump myself." she shrugged, and a note of concern entered her voice. "You sure you're alright? Look, this must have happened before, what did you do to get rid of it then? You still seem pretty alive to me." she smiled slightly, "You ready to move on? I'd forgotten how nice it was up in the trees.."
She jumped across a few branches experimentally, weaving almost silently over the natural streets. Then she looked back at Sephy, bit her lip, and went back.
"Alright. let's tackle one problem at a time. First, you. Well, the cold part of you mainly." She paused. "Let's asess the situation. We're above ground, in the trees. You are cold. Too cold for comfort. What do we have that could possibly warm you up to the point where you don't go and freeze on me?" she sighed, in the process of thought.

'let's just keep going. standing still isnt going to make things any better. And I don't think i explained my allergy to you properly. you see, it's the weather that affects me, not spells or the such. I tried that once. I nearly killed mysefl. I dont think a spell would work too effectively.'
Suddenly, there was a yelp from below. Telia and sephy jumped. Telia fell out of the tree. Sephy reached down to grab her, but also fell out. thankfully, they landed on a convenient pile of Doctor.
There was a muffled groan as the doctor disentangled his scarf from the two girls and made to stand up. but there was a near quack, and a hiss from sephy and Telia to 'Get down!' unfortunately, the space was taken up mostly by telia and sephy. Sephy felt him trembling after a few moments and realised the poor man must be holding himself in a strenuous position. The quacking died away, sephy and Telia stood up and the doctor fell over again, panting. 'what was that for?' he asked. 'your fault. you should be resting.' smiled Sephy. 'What are you doing here anyway?' 'helping you.' 'go back. you'll just get in the way.' muttered Telia 'I could be useful.'

clara sat in a dark tent, tied to a pole. a duck stood guard beside her, quacking softly occasionally. there were voices nearby - human voices! humanoid, at least. unfortunately, the duck heard it too. it quacked loudly, running outside.
________________________________________________________
Sephy stopped and listened. 'someone's coming again!' she hissed, but it was too late. there were five or so ducks upon them. Telia drew her sabre and forced the doctor back behind a tree. Sephy shifted her weight slightly and waited silently for the attack to begin. The ducks attacked. one was run through by telia's sabre. sephy stood there silent as the grave, looking at the two ducks that were approaching her. just as they neared her, she jumped easily over them, landing behind them. she kicked out, and then leant forward, grabbing the side of their necks. they both collapsed like ragdolls. She spun around and kicked another in the forehead, and under the chin. It also fell. Telia twisted and stabbed, and the last one fell to the ground. Sephy was shaking. odd, for an assassin. She leaned against a tree. Her breathing had quickened slightly, but otherwise she bore no signs of the fight. Telia wiped off her blade, and looked around.
Clara cried out from her tent. 'that way!' whispered sephy.

they crept silently into the tent, and found Clara bound to a pole inside. She smiled at them faintly. There was a scratch on her face that ran along her forehead, and a couple of bruises but other than that she was alright. 'how are you tied?' asked Telia, reaching for her sabre again. Sephy stopped her. 'Don't. You'll blunt it, silly. Use something a little less essential.' 'It won't work.' said the Doctor, bending down beside Clara. 'It's some form of...' he reached for his screwdriver, and began trying to loosen the device. 'it's not working.' 'i can see that.' muttered Telia. Sephy knelt next to the device and began to mutter under her breath, weaving the intricate patterns of the spell, building it up. She directed it at the device, and it clicked open. She cut off the spell and stood. 'well, that seems to be all and well.' 'I used to enjoy doing that sort of thing...' muttered Telia. 'You still can.'
