The brownies were far too intelligent to be trusted on a ship, and no self-respecting SISTER would allow herself to be rented out. "You read it. I assure you I shall be able to remeber it."
"Who is this Ultima? That is a curious mortal name. Is he of another race?" She knew the humans were fond of "mixing". Something she could never understand, and like all other Faye found distasteful.

Nodding his head for a moment he lightly cleared his voice and began to rattle off the list of materials and produce they had.
"Blue stone, Limestone, Marble & Granite, Porphyry, Sandstone, Bauxite, Gypsum, Zinc, Copper, Manganese, Mercury, Lead, Silver, Salt, Natural Gas, Coal, Lumber, Fish, Horses, Sheep/Lamb, Chickens, Grapes, Wheat, Barley, Hops, Oregano, Garlic, Olives, Tomatoes, Sage, Lemons, Maize, Rice, Basil, Parsley, Figs, Pistachio, Mandarin Orange, Persimmon Fruit, Eggplant, Zucchini, Bell Peppers, Red Onions, and Flour."
That was what the list had stated, by all looks it seemed the citizens had finally organized more so then usual.
Though thinking about Ultima he had to wonder, he had only seen the man a few times and well...
"Well Ultima looks like a human; but I can't say if he is or isn't. He has a flower growing out of the top of his head."

"You don't know his species." she said flatly, wondering if the faint signs of poise she had seen the other day had been him flustered and her too generous. Mercury, everyone could get mercury. Cases of poisonings from it occured daily. Horses though- "You have such fertile territory, but two products we produce may come in handy afterall. I was thinking of our sodium hypochlorite, and for your farming our Kraken manure." it was what they called the fertizer produced by the serpents bordering their bays. The youkai already purchased some from them, and they used it themselves.

With a simple shrug Quin shook his head, "No I do not, nor do I find what species he is of very much worth for as long as he performs what is expected of him I have no reason to concern myself with him. It is a simple matter of economics, untill such time as he is a problem there is no reason for me to pry."
It seemed the Faye were very "pure" minded and it wouldn't surprise him if they practised some form of eugenics in one form or another. But that was something for another time. Now he had to think upon the trading
"Bleach and fertalizer. Yes, I do see how the two could benifit us. The question is what are you looking for in exchange?"

Fair Folk such as the former nymphs were unwise. Mutts were unpredictable. Everything from Aes's life expectancy to temper were unknown variables, he himself to be distrusted. If Quin wanted to take a chance, then she considered him immature.
Not replying to the comment about the perhaps-mortal, she turned back to the horses "This is the year of the horse. To purchase now is favorable and Queen Epona may well see that our nation benefits from honoring her." Fay paused, she did not dare seem eager "We have already reviewed large selections overseas naturally, but all the same I would like to review your stock."

Different callender then the one he was used to; but it did make sense. Horses were always worth value, even if it wasn't the year of the horse. They could be used in battle and in peace. They were good wealth and made travelling easier. Much could be gained from them.
Her words moved quickly, but her quickness to say that she looked else where told Quin something. That short little pause had said that Horses would be the major stock in which he would need to trade.
"Of course, you can find horses almost any where; but it is quality that you wish. Otherwise what benifit would they have for the Queen? You may review what we have, I assure you. You will like what you see."

"The Normans treat them little more than pack animals." she finished the beer, but the wince was from the mental image "I'll have to see what your people's standards are." She couldn't remeber, did Pale ride? No, no the woman had always charged, while Wed and Aes were archers. Archers. Pansies more like it.

With all things though reality would intersect between economic interests. "You shall see the horses; but we do not keep the heards so near by and they are mostly nomadic in how they are raised. This ensures that they are strong, quick and have endurance enough. I would not doubt their ability to carry a man in full plate. But it will be a few days tell you may see them. Their course will take them near where we are in two days time and you shall be able to study them for yourself."

"Two days of my men and I rotting here." Not a chance, they would go mad. They weren't meant to be contained. Then again, those foreign elves she'd heard of- well, he had better produce a solution.

Her words and tone were enough for him. Thinking quickly upon his feet an idea struck upon him.
"I shall have my own horse delievered here latter this day upon a time suitable to your desire. This horse you may inspect as it is an example of the breed we raise and you may take it with you as a gift from me."

"Here you are, in a Faye vessel, with a no doubt dry throat." she stood so they were approximatly eye level, and she moved to a cabinet "Let me get you some beer. I was wondering, Pale and the others could never teach ki. Yet where did you learn it?"

It was only about mid morning and Quin knew that a dry throat wasn't much of any problem; but he wouldn't mind a drink none the less.
"Morgan, I had the distinct pleasure of having Morgan teach me. Though I must say I am not much of a practioner of that art."

Gracious Mab. Distint pleasure. Yes, she bet he did. "Morgan is here? It is so hard to know what is true, one hears so many reports-" she handed him a thick cup "I would be pleased if you could show me to her. The horse could be delivered later."

From one path to another; Quin nodded his head and motioned towards the door. "Yes, I can show you to where she lives. Though I do not know if she is currently there at the moment. Perhaps Rivven is there."
Things could get interesting, by all acounts Morgan still had no memory of Quin save a few queer times when they had met. Such and odd person, and she still had one of his books.

"Rivven? Ah yes, the dead one. I remeber that name." Saying something, she was usually terrible at names. Fay remebered Morgan from the rebellion, but had known her since Morgan was still the blonde Morgaine. ((Where should we post?))
