"Give it time... And don't tell your brother, he might do something dractic." Polgara made a face. She hated to admit it, but she was scared of what Victor might do if he had that sort of information. She knew that there was some bit of family loyalty in him still. Though she oftened wondered what his motives for it were, she wasn't quite sure if she trusted him to not to cause them any harm in the future, but she wasn't about to open that mental can of worms.

She was having a good night all things considered, and she wasn't about to ruin it with that kind of thinking. So instead she smiled at Kaelin. "But let us get off this subject, and onto something a bit more happy. Would you like a room here Kaelin, for you and your son? There is plenty of space, and I would love to hear the sound of small feet on the floor again." She really did, she missed the days of having young ones underfoot.

"I know father won't mind if you want to stay here, he spends most of his time in his study reading things he's found from the library that he thinks will help him protect the isle, I say whatever keeps him occupied is fine by me. I know he's only keeping busy because of mom." She sighed and shook her head. "But no, that's rude of me to say, I have not place to judge how mom acts." She huffed. "But he spends so much time in that study, it's unhealthy!"

"What is unhealthy?" Sol said as he entered the kitchen, heading for the fridge and pulling it open, pulling out what looked to be deli meat and soem cheese and mustard, before going towards the bread box and pulling out some wheat bread, slapping the mustard on while he made a sandwich. "My study habits?" He looked over his shoulder. "You know, Hi comes by very often now to spar, so I know I'm getting exercise."

Kaelin watches her grandfather trying not to giggle for a moment before she bit her bottom lip looking at her mother "Um...would it be bad of me to say that Vistor already knows..." blushing a deep color she looks down at her lap. Was Vistor serious afterall, she remember all to well what he had said to her. She thought maybe he was kidding, but now she wasn't sure.

Looking back up she give a small smiles "I would love to come stay, but I'm the only one keep the home going back on the mainland. Tinania is missing and so is Surion sadly. So I'm having to keep the place clean and watch over Tenderheart as well as keep all the other pets fed. I can't leave even if I wished too." looking over she watched her grandfather then smiles "Would you join us grandfather? I haven't gotten a chance to sit and chat with you yet and I would love to.."

Pol's eyes grew sad when she heard that Victor already knew. She touched her chest softly and bowed her head. She looked like she was praying.

Thing was, she was praying, praying that Thom and Victor never crossed paths, because Victor would kill him, or at the very least, try.

Sol smiled and putting his sandwhich on a plate he got up and moved over to Kaelin and Polgara, sitting down in an empty seat and taking a bite. "I was planning on taking a break from reading and thought a snack would be nice, I didn't know that you had come. How are you?" He smiled at Kaelin. "It's not often I see my grandchildren. Any of them for that matter."

Pol lifted her head and smiled, all shadows of worry gone, it was in the hands of the guardian's now in her mind, their will would see that Thom lived or died. "Yes, it's nice to see you out of the study dad."

Kaelin watched her mother for a moment arching a brow, Shaking her head she would ask more about Victor later. Turning she smiles to her grandfather "I'm doing alright, been living each days as it comes. How are you grandfather? How is your studies going?"

Lifting her cup she sip her tea breathing slowly, she didn't know why but she felt like the world around her just shifted after her mother lifted her head back up. Did she really have to worry about her own brother? She prayed in silents to the guardians that she didn't.

"They're coming along, nothing really useful yet, at least what I'm reading over now, it's about the history of the isle, and so far, there are way too many holes for me to even think about hooking it all together. But that's alright, I'm sure it will work out." Sol said taking another bite of his samwich.

Pol smiled. "So that is what you have been working on lately, I have wondered what was keeping you so dug up into your books."

Kaelin arched a brow slightly then smiles "Hmmm well grandfather if you want any help I'm willing to help you out. I'll be visiting often because Anila moving up here. Plus I'll be bring Dil up here often to see the family." with a nod she looks to her mother then back to her grandfather "What do you know so far grandfather about the history of this isle?"

Sol chuckled and bowed his head. "Nothing more than I think is generall knowledge. I can't read half the texts I find, and they don't seem to be in any language I can cross reference. Linguistics isn't quite my fortay, at least, nothing beyond the common languages." He waved his hand and sighed. "So most of it I can't translate."

Kaelin arches a brow alittle then smiles "Ah I see, sounds like the same thing that happen to Tinania with a spell she had. It wasn't until I was able to read it that we found out it was an illsuion, Its how we found out my powers. I had to link with her mind and show her what I was seeing." with a nod she sits back "I think that knocked me out for at least a day because I wasn't use to using all that energy."

Sol nodded. "Yes, and it's not like I'm not trying to find a common root language, it's just that every one I've tried to compare it too turns up completely different. Its like it's a lost language. I've gone so far as to make the assumption that it's ancient Pae'il..." He asn't sure, but who knew?
PostPosted: Tue May 23, 2006 4:01 pm

Kaelin thought over what he said biting at her bottom lip. Looking at her mother she smiles "It would have to be anicent pae'il. If grandfather can't solve it then it just gotta be." looking at her grandfather she smiles "I think maybe you should just give up on it for abit. I always find that stepping away from it the answer will appear when you least expect it.." with a nod she sips on the last bit of her tea before placing the cup back down on the counter.

Sol nodded slowly, and he chuckled. "It might help, yes..." He tapped his chin for a moment and then stood. "Yes, maybe it would be best to give it some time to mull about in my head." He shook his head and took another bite of his samwich, and then nodded.

"It's nice to see you Kaelin, my grandchrildren don't visit often."

Pol smiled and nodded to Kaelin, she just wanted her father to take some time off.

Kaelin smiles then looking at her mother she takes her hand giving it a squeeze then nods towards her grandfather "Well I'll be around more often, so if you don't mind me coming around I would be happy to come visit you mother.." she turns towards her grandfather nodding "and your grandfather." her wings flutter behind her as she placed her other hand in her lap.

This was what she wanted, to knwo her family, and now she had the chance.

Sol smiled, "Please, by all means, do not be a stranger, it is nice to have visitors who aren't showing up just because they have a problem they think only you can solve." He laughed and shook his head. "But that is the life of an Elder I suppose."

Pol smiled. "I would love that Kaelin, thank you, and do not think that you can't bring Dil along too." She smiled brightly. SHe really did want to see her grandson some more.
PostPosted: Tue May 23, 2006 6:19 pm

Kaelin nods then laughing alittle she smiles "Dil quite the handful, that little boy of mine takes after me I'm sure. He getting into everything he can get his hands on." shaking her head she smiles alittle "Mel the same way I believe." falling quiet she looks at her mother "You have a way of summoning people to you don't you?" her eyes were once again sad, she had a feeling she knew the answer but it never hurt to ask right?

Pol nodded but sighed. "Yeah, I can," She murmured, she looked to Kaelin, and frowned. "But if they don't want to come to me, it's harder for me to do, if they really, really don't want to, then I can't bring them to me at all..." She sighed, looking down at her feet.
