Aim RP between Naggeela & Thalion

Cody:
It was perhaps the first day of the early spring that it hadn't rained. Cody hated the cold weather, hated the rain, and in the last few days the rain had even had clumps of hail or corn snow to add to its misery. Keanu loved it, and never hesitated to let the world know. Cody, however, wasn't gifted with the tolerence to the cold or the thick pelt of fur that his friend had.

He pulled his coat up closer to him and glanced skyward. It was partly cloudy, but warm and dry enough to be out. He needed a work out, and Tex needed excercise. There was a track and a field next to the playground- that'd have to do. He could do pull-ups on the monkey bars or crunches leaning on the plastic slide. Tex could run around the track or stretch his wings in the field. He was far from being able to fly, but he still needed room enough to stretch them out now and then.

"Tarnation...", Cody grumbled as he poked at his belly, "I gotta get this gut offa me... I work out an' it's still there."

Tex only huffed and rolled his eyes. Cody was perhaps worse about his weight than a girl- but he was in the market for one- or multiple if he could manage it.

Drez:
Walking towards the park once more as he yet had been anowing his mother about his complants about how cold it had been. She had enought of it and told him to walk off his enery. In his mind he love the rain and once went out in it only to find that it was cold and went back inside. At least it was slightly warmer and dry.

Slithering closer to the playground he flicked his tounge out to smell that there were others around that he didn't know but one was a dragon. So Drez thought it might be a D-corp kid. So he slithered close to find out who it was and all that he was wearing is his green t-shirt.

Cody:
Cody trudged himself over to the monkey bars, only slightly aware of the snake kid following him around. He had a bad habbit of ignoring anyone he wasn't familar with or anyone that wasn't due for a pounding. He glanced over now and then, frowning more and more as it became apparent that the kid was honestly following him.

The bull pulled himself up to the monkey bars and hooked his legs around one of the bars. "...Can I help you?"

Drez:
"I was just wondering if you were a D-Corp kid." he replied lightly nervous and started to play with his necklace. As Drez noted that the other kid was slightly anoyed that he had been folloing him, but he was just wondering. "By the way I'm Drez," he said smilling as the wind fludderd his hair slightly and the feather that Ligeia had given him and it was alway good to be polite too.

Cody:
"Yup." Was the bull's answer to the first question. Drez wouldn't see it, but now and then he'd hear a grunt now and then, but Cody was pulling himself up, doing upside-down crunches on the bars. "Suprised ya ain't heard about me. Me an' my two buddies faced off against the baddies that tried to kill Allen."
Drez:
He was wondering what the other was doing, so his tongue was going a mile a minute to figure it out. But he could smell sweat and his scent and figured that he was at least working out. Something that his mother was doing a lot of in lately. Thinking for a bit. "I never heard of anything like that or haven't heard of your buddies," he said a little confused to who he was talking about.

Cody:
"Yer kiddin' me." Cody flopped back down to dangle with his hands stretched out towards the ground. "Ya musta been just a munckin then. Well me, Keanu, an' Paxton all came face tah face with some bad guys. Blew up the D-corp buildin' a while back. Had guns on 'em. We all were shot down but we're alive... th' three of us are gonna hunt them bastards down an' show 'em a thing or two."

He puffed his chest out and folded his arms over it. "We're th' toughest kids in D'corp. Best show some respect."

Drez:
"Nope I'm not," he replied and listen to what he was saying. "That cool. I wish you luck on trying to find those bad guys."

Drez didn't see what cody had done and slightly wondered to what he had said and just shruged and commited what was said to his memory. "So what are you doing? Working out?"

Cody:
"Workin' out, trainin'. Gettin' stronger. S' what we were made for afterall." He eyed the boy. Something was up with the kid's eyes- they seemed....empty. Different. The snake's eyes weren't even fully on his. "D-corp kids were made to be soldiers. Everyone should be lookin' for those guys. Not just us three."

Well...two. Paxton was just hauled along whether he liked it or not.
Drez:
"They were?" that was something very new for him. "I didn't know that. I have just been with my mother most of the time. I haven't 'seen' too much of the inside, as I just going to be start takeing classes there soon." As he thought of getting to hold and feel his dragon egg.

"I have been trying to get stronger too. I want to prove to my mother that I can be a Ninja just like she is."

Cody:
"Course it's why we were made! Why do you think they pair each of us up with a dragon?" He pointed over towards Tex, "That copper there's Tex. He's trainin' with me. When I'm big enough, Keanu, Paxton, and I are gonna show everyone what -real- d-corp soldiers can do."

He started pulling himself up again, "If yer tough enough, maybe we'll let ya come along."

Drez:
He cocked his head to the side as he was a little confused about the matter, but he really didn't mind as long as he could be a Ninja to prove to his mother that he could do it even without his sight. When he heard the word 'dragon' his tongue was flicking out once more to 'see' were his dragon was. "That will be intersting to 'see' when you do. But I will be getting to hold my dragon egg soon,"

"That would be nifty,"

Cody:
"Well don't just sit an' watch! Three outta the whole kabootle won't do anyone a lick of good! Keanu got shot in th' leg and th' chest- he almost died! I lost an eye an Paxton was knocked right out for weeks 'cause we were the only three with guts."

Drez:
"Well I have never really worked out, most of what I have been doing is learing how to throw my mother's Kundi, climbed lots of trees and swimming." he replied as he got closer to where Cody was working out but didn't scent that there was a low lying bar near becasue of all the rain making it have no scent and smaked right into it.

Cody:
"Well yer a snake." Cody scratched the side of his head. "Ya can move quick in one fast move right? Like a sidewinder. Nothin' strikes faster. Focus on that."

Drez:
"Yes, well a sea snake," he replied rubbing his head and thank full that cody didn't see him do it. "Yes I can do that," he said wondering what a sidewinder was tho he did have an vage idea that it might be a land snake and nodded. So he would have to slither fast that was something that

Cody:
"Then yer strength is in th' water. We gotta cover all bases. Yer surf, I'm turf, paxton can fly. We got a full scale here." He flipped himself around and started doing traditional pull-ups.

Drez:
"Yep." he said smiling that he had his strenghs in the water and was very fast in it. He was fast on land but not as when he is in the water. "So what else do you do besides training?" he asked wondering what else cody like to do.

Cody:
"Well...." He smirked, "I impress the ladies." He flipped himself around and landed on his hooves. "You do like ladies don'tcha kid? Or are ya too young tah be thinkin' bout that?"

Drez:
"Well I do like the hugs I get from them and telling me that I'm cute," he replied not really getting what Cody was really leading on to that as he was too young to think that way. But he just like feeling others as it was another way for him to 'see' others besides with scent.

Cody:
"No no no.." He shook his head, "Ya know where you... get with a woman? Like... real close...an' ya hold 'em an ya kiss them?" His tone took on an edge, which might strike the younger boy as odd considering the conversation. "Like...things ya don't do with guys."

Drez:
Drez gave Cody a look of he was very confused in the matter as he tilted his head to the side. "I think that I too young for that." he said as he remembered one of his mothers shows that he had heard people on tv do that and he thougth it was just gross.

Cody:
"Yer never too young! When you get older someone else might have all the ladies if ya start draggin yer heels..er...tail at this point!" He gave the boy a rough jab to his shoulder- apparently his way of being effectionate.

Drez:
"Well maybe you could give me some pointers. But I don't think that I will be doing that mushy kissy stuff I hear when my mothers is watching her shows. It sorta creeps me out." He didn't mind the hard jab as he plays tuff with Tarth all the time ((Tarth is his mothers Ninja wolf that just loves to play with Drez)) and did the same back on his arm and much softer as he wasn't as strong. "By the way I never did catch your name," he asked very politely.

Cody:
"Ah right right." Cody chuckled. "Name's Cody Tayburd. Sorry 'bout dat. I get caught up."

Man, poor kid. No one to tell him how to be a man! "Alright.. well you don't gotta start kissin', trust me you'll want to when yer my age...an' then some."

Drez:
"Its ok and it nice to meet you," he replied as he flicked out his tongue to really remember Cody's scent.

"Good as long as I don't have to do it now. Well maybe when I get to be your age I might think about it."

Cody:
"Ya gotta be careful though." He narrowed his eye and looked to either side, "There's guys 'round 'ere makin' other guys do stuff with 'em that they shoudl only do with girls. Ain't right." he shook his head, though he was aware that Drez wouldn't see it. It was more for himself anyway. "Can't get no babies that way. Ya want babies one day, don'cha kid?"

Drez:
"Ok," Nodding to what Cody had said, but really didn't know what he ment but when he does get older he will know what he said. "I would love to have a baby brother or sister," Smilling as he could play with them and get to blame them and tease them.

Cody:
"No no no..." Cody shook his head. "Not baby brother or sister- but a baby. Like... yer own. Son, daughter. Dat kinda thing." He chuckled, "Ya do know where babies come from right?

Drez:
"They come from D-Corp right?" he answered and was very clueless and confused about the question and it clearly showed in his face as he had never had the 'birds and the bee' talk with his mother as he was still young for that type of talk.

Cody:
"Well we are." He frowned a bit. "But we didn't just come outta no where. Ya see-"

The boy gave a sharp yelp and jumped a few inches off the ground as his tail was promptly chomped on. Tex shot him a look that could stop even a charging...well bull in its tracks.

"What! He's gotta know the facts of life!"

Drez:
Drez had known that the dragon was comming up on Cody and had to smile and laugh a little that it his dragon had bit him. "So was that your dragon that bit you?"

Cody:
"Yeah..." Cody pulled his tail loose from his dragon's teeth, "I hate it when he does that. Thinks he's bein' decent by keepin' me from splainin' things to some people."

Drez:
Drez slithered over to the dragon to get a better look. "Well I can't help you there. Does he like his chin being scratched?"

Cody:
"Tex? Yeah I reckon he does." Cody scoffed, "'e's more like a big dog at this age. Loves chewin' on stuff. Ruined a pair of Winter's shoes...then I had 'em bury Edan in the back yard. All but his head."

Drez:
So with the permission Drez scratched under Tex's chin as that is what Vorel liked. "My mother's wolf, Tarth acts the same way. But when Tarth involoves me there is some destruction in the house and then we are told to go out side."

Cody:
Tex leaned his chin up and made a rumbling sound in the back of his throat. It was apparent that the dragon liked the attention. If Drez even slowed up a bit he'd lean into him again.

"Eh. Dragons are smarter I reckon'. I tell him stuff an' he understands. Winter's got a fat ol' tabby she keeps 'round and it don't do s**t."

Tex huffed.

"What! He don't."

Drez:: Drez did slow up a little on the scratching but still contuned and he loved the reaction he was getting from Tex.

"That is what I have been hearing. But I wonder what type of dragon that I will be getting. All that I know that is looks like a very large pearl,"

Cody: "I dunno. Not a dragon expert m'self. If you wanna know 'bout guns an' shootin', an' all that..." He shrugged, "But uh.. ya ain't the kinda guy that can shoot. Hell I had tah get a pointer put inah my eyepatch so I can aim right."

Drez:: "Nope I'm not, but I can throw things a targets ok and working at it to hit the targets better." he said smiling.

Cody: "Uh...right." He tried not to smile, it was kind of amusing to think of a blind kid hucking rocks at targets. "Well... they do have magic classes here. Maybe ya can learn a spell fer... like...somethin."

Drez:: "I didn't know they had magic classes and I think that you might be right, but I don't know," he shruged. "But I'm still new to what I have to do at D-Corp. But I'm excited to hold my dragon egg,"

Cody: "Yeah. I had tah take one of them. Th' teacher's real creepy. It's like he sees right intah yer brain. Ya see 'em standin' there, big golden eyes. He makes things float 'round with his mind."

Drez:: He wondered how one could see in anothers brain. "But how would one do that. Well my mother says that your eyes are windows to your soul. Tho it would be hard for me to see him float things around. I just might stump him, but I wont know until I take his class."

Cody: "Well we had one kid dat send him passin' out. Th' teach ended up in the hospital when 'e did his eye voo doo thing with 'em."

Drez:: "Then that kid must have one strong mind to do that." But he wondered what type of magic he would be able to do.

Cody: "I think it was somethin' else. 'e didn't seem tah be all that bright." He shrugged, "But ye'll learn if ya sign up for 'is class I reckon."

Drez:: "Well then he must have a secret weapon then. But I do love to learn things. But I think that I love the stories about dragons the most."

Cody: "Ya sound like ya need tah get out more, kid." He rolled his eye. " Look... ya gotta start....makin yerself look like a guy. Ya kinda look like a chick ya know."

Drez:: "I know I do and it drives my mother nuts," Laughing slightly at the antics he has been doing at home. "I do?" wondering to what Cody was talking about him looking like a girl.

Cody: "Ya got long hair, an' yer arms are...well yer a limp noodle kid. Put on some muscle. Lift some weights- good fer yer biceps and yer chest. Do crunches, build up a good tummy ya know? Can't go fightin' like that...an' ya'll get girls all confused."

Drez:: "But I like my hair," he said as he touched it to make sure that it was still there. Drez was really defencive over his hair and would hardly let his mother cut it as it was a confert zone for him. "Well I could work out more to get stronger. But from some of the girls I have met love my long hair too,"

Cody: "Ya can keep th' hair- if ya got muscle. Mah hair's longer than normal but 's 'cause I'm manly enough tah pull it off."

Drez:: "So if I work out and have muscles. I won't look to girly?" But was releaved that he could keep the hair the way it was.

Cody: "Pretty much, yeah." He walked around the boy in a circle, "Ya ain't got no legs so ya can't do much runnin. Here, come forward a bit an lift yer hands up. There's some bars, grab on an' start tryin' tah curl up."

Drez:: "Nope, but I can slither fast. Its sorta like running or that is what I have been told." His tail was much stronger than it look from all the swimming that Drez does, but can be felt when he desided to give you a snake hug when he wraps his tail around you and squeeses. So he went foward towards Cody and lift his hands up.

Cody: Cody stepped back, "There ya go, grab ontah that bar there. Ya might have tah stretch a bit. S' made fer climbin' up an' climbin' round on."

Drez:: Stretching up a bit and just able to touch it, but a proplem solved when he used his tail to get his hands closer to the bar and gets a hold of it and hands there but his tail suporting his wait has he hung. "So I just pull myself up to the top of the bar?"

Cody: "No no no...", He shook his head, "Pull ups. Try to get yer chin up on the bar, then down again, then chin up a gain, then down. That's pullups."

Drez:: "Oh, Ok." So he gives it a go. Very slowly at first until he knew where the bar was and when he got up to it and rested his chin there and rubbed it and licked it to get his scent on it where he could do pullups a little faster. But after a few more his arms burned and he let go and landed on his butt softly. "Thats hard and my arms burn,"

Cody: "S' how it's supposed tah be. Th' burn's a good thing, I hear th' guy on tv call it that all th' time. Means yer buildin' muscles an' all dat."

Drez:: "So if I do more of them once my arms feel better and over time. I will have more muscles on my arms/"

Cody: "Yup. Th more sore it is th' harder ya should work. Means ya tore up yer muscles an' then yer rebuildin' 'em. Ya do wanna get stronger don'cha?"

Drez:: "yes I do," He so wanted to prove to his mother that he could be what she wanted him to be, even tho he was blind. "And I have to work hard to be so,"

Cody: "Damn right." He gave Drez another jab at his shoulder, "An eat lots o' protien." He glanced over a shoulder then back over towards Drez, "I gotta run, kid. S' gonna get late soon. Winter'll skin me alive if she gets back and Edan's nut out of his hole."

Drez:: "Ok I will and I already eat lots of fish." he replied "Ok, I will see you later and I will be a little stronger when I see you next," he replied and gave Cody a punch to the shoulder as well.

Cody:
"Yer a good kid." Cody smirked a bit, "Learn tah punch harder. Means ya mean it if ya do. s' a guy thing." He tipped his hat and waved off to a side, "C'mon Tex."

Drez:
"Bye," and waves as they walk off and he too heads home not to worry Val to much.

AIM RP between Satin Regret and Thalion

Cody:
Cody kicked roughly at the dirt path, sending a few pebbles and chunks of dry earth up into the air ahead of him. He wasn't allowed to go to the gym without someone 'old enough'. Twelve was plenty old! He'd argue that until he was blue in the face but it didn't mean the employees there would let him in. If Paxton would stop being a sissy and take him, or Keanu for that matter.

He snorted around his nose ring and stretched his arms up over his head. Well the park would have to do. He always managed to find a way to get a workout replacement here.

Tex, his bronze dragonling, followed just behind him, yawning off the morning as best he could.

Tryst:
Tryst was curled up on a blanket spread out under a tree, dozing in the warm sunlight. Her white scaley body was in convoluted twists, so if it wasn't for her torso and tail you wouldn't be able to tell where it started. Rysha was walking around with a friend of hers, some winged woman named Niko, but Tryst hadn't felt like going with them.

So, she stayed back and 'watched' their stuff. Watched being sleeping with her raichu plush buried in her arms. The sun was warm, and there was no one around to look at, so the little four year old had curled up in the nice warm sun.

Cody:
The bull continued down the dirt path until he came to the actual play sets. He'd been scolded for being 'too rough' with the equiptment, then again- it wasn't his fault that they'd not let him in the gym. He took a short glance around, noting another child nearby. Another legless one- like Lae and Reese.

"Hmph." He jumped up and caught one of the monkey bars and began pulling himself up into the air until his chin touched the bar, he'd drop down and up again. His hooves crossed under him to keep them suspended from the ground.

Tex yawned and laid himself in the grass. It was routene, now and then Cody would drag him into his workouts, might as well rest up beforehand.

Tryst:
Tryst shifted on the blanket, hearing someone nearby. Shaking her head, causing her hair to fall in a pale curtain over her eyes, she opened them slowly, the sunlight being blocked by her hair, as she looked over at where the sounds were coming from.

A boy was on the monkeybars, doing pullups while a small dragon was lying in the grass nearby. Tilting her head, she watched them for a moment, her light blue eyes full of curiosity. Uncurling from herself, Tryst slithered in their direction, lower body pushing herself silently through the grass towards them.

She wasn't exactly sure what she'd say to the boy, so she stopped near the dragon, bending down in her version of a squat, were she to have legs. "Hullo there."

Cody:
Cody glanced over. A single chocolate eye falling on the pale figure. The other eye- or rather the lack there of- lay hidden under a black eyepatch sporting a red bullseye. Perhaps for irony.

He dropped down to his hooves and tipped the lip of his hat a bit, "Howdy ma'am. I didn't wake ya up now did I?"

So the snake thing was another female, at least that was a bit of a relieaf. He'd spent hours with Reese teaching him how to use his arms in place of arms. The limp noodle.

Tryst:
Tryst looked up as the boy hopped down, tilting his hat to her and addressing her. "Ma'am?" She asked, her voice soft as she watched him. A small smile pulled the corners of her lips as she giggled.

"You didn't wake me up." Now that she saw him up close, he looked kind've like a cow. Not a milk cow, though. Definitely not. And he had something covering his eye...

She tilted her head up to look at him, and pointed a finger at the eye patch. "What's that?"

Cody:
"Ma'am's the right way tah address a lady. 's a complement." He offered. Then again, she was pretty young. Didn't hurt to be polite to the little ones either. He flicked his tail a bit and tipped his head. Maybe he'd introduce her to Lae sometime, they'd make good buds.

"Ah good tah hear, I tend tah be a bit loud when I get intah th' swing of a good workout." He flexted one of his arms a bit and smirked, If only he could get rid of the gut! It wasn't fair.

The second question earned another smirk from the boy. "s' an eyepatch. I lost mah eye fightin' with some jerks that done come in an' stirred up some trouble with th' corp. Took out the boss man, or tried to. I'mma mess 'em up good next I see 'em."

Tryst:
The smile broadened, and she half bobbed, a reptilian attempt at a curtsy. Though Tryst wobbled a little with the motion, she smiled anyways. "Thank you." She said politely. He was funny, and he spoke oddly, but he seemed nice enough.

"What's a workout?" Tryst asked, folding her hands behind her back while watching him flex. Something on his arm tensed when he moved it, and it caught her attention. Leaning forward, she poked his arm. "Do it again?" She looked up at him, interest in her eyes.

His statement about the lost eye, though, made her eyes widen and the smile fade. "Really? Did it hurt?" Seeing someone hurt made her sad, whether or not it was someone she had just met. She raised herself on her tail so she was on eye level with the older boy. "Mess 'em up?" So many terms she was unaware of, but she liked listening to people talk.

Cody:
"Workin' out's gettin' yer body in shape. Lets ya run faster, punch harder, an' ya can take more punishment when ya gotta get intah a scrape." He grinned and flexed his arm again, this time holding it out for her to inspect, "Nice guns right? Been workin' mah tail off."

He shook his head at the second question. "Naw. I went out when it happened. When I came 'round th' healers had already gone an' taken care of it fer me. More annoyin' than anythin'. I gotta figure out a way tah get mah aim back. Shootin' cans off a fence is gettin' a bit tricky."

He blinked, "Yeah...Mess 'em up. Ya know, rough 'em up, beat in their teeth? Get 'em back?"

Tryst:
She watched the muscles of his bicep with interest, pinching it and feeling the tensed muscle. "Should I work out?" Tryst asked, blue eyes wide; she and Emmet would occasionally wrestle, but they were never rough with each other. She had at least some strength in her lower body, since she gave Rysha a deadleg from wrapping her leg. She wans't too happy about that once Tryst let go...

Giggling at the memory, she listened to him talk about his eye. "Can't the labbies fix it?" Tryst asked, curious. If they could mix kids and animals, it seemed like it'd be a small matter to fix an eye.

Tryst made a face as he described 'mess 'em up.' "Like this?" She punched one hand into the palm of the other, looking back up at him. "But hitting them?"

Cody:
"Ya can if ya want. Nothin' wrong with a strong lady. I've taught plenty o' leggless peoples how tah get yer upper body all nice an' toned." He nodded over to the slide, "Ya gotta use only yer arms tah pull yerself tah th' top. S' good fer ya. Th' more ya do it, th' stronger ya get an' th' easier things start tah get. Simple as that." His chest swelled up as she felt at his arm. He'd never had anyone actually listen to his...well bullshit.

"Labs? Nah...th' eye's too complicated er somethin'. I'll figure somethin' out. Thought about puttin' one of them lazer pointin' thingies in mah eye patch so's I can get mah aim back. Jus' gotta shoot where I see a dot. Saw it on TV once."

Cody nodded and swung around to punch at the air, "Gonna mess 'em up good. Punch 'his teeth out an' make 'em pick 'em up with broken fingers an' busted in knee caps. 'e shot mah buds, Keanu an' Paxton...." He paused, or did Paxton just get knocked aside? It was kind of scrambled in his mind still. "Somethin' like that."

Tryst:
Tryst looked over towards the slide when he pointed it out, and looked at it in interest. "And that'll make my arms tough?" She asked, turning back to him. She didn't want arms as big as his, but it'd be cool to at least have some muscle.

She could sort of understand how replacing an eye might be difficult, but the snake girl still thought they should try. Shrugging to herself, she wasn't a lab, so she decided to forget about it, since he obviously was okay with it. "What's your name?" Tryst asked belatedly; she was having fun talking to him, and completely forgot to ask.

Tryst wasn't sure who Keanu and Paxton were, so she just guessed they were more lab kids. Instead of saying anything, she grabbed onto one of the bars on the junglegym, sliding her body inbetween and carefully winding up to the top of the bars, her lower body wound through to the ground as she looked down at him and grinned.

Cody:
"Yup. Jus' gotta work at it, don't give up. It hurts fer a bit, an' ye'll be sore th' next day, but that's when you gotta work through it." He flicked an ear and glanced down to his arms, "S' called 'th burn' or somethin' like that... th' tv workout guys say it lots."

"Ah, fergot tah introduce m'self." He tipped his hat again, "Name's Cody Tayburd. An' I'm gonna be one of th' three toughest kids here at D-corp." He put his hands on his hips and looked down at the little snake girl, "Keanu an' Paxton are gonna be th' other two. We're gonna be heros."

The little display sent his arms back to his sides. Well that was one way to do it. "Huh. Ain't never seen no one do that a'fore. Guess ya can use yer uh...tail bettern' most then."

Tryst:
She giggled, grinning down at him still. Leaning over the bar, she wove through another so her torso was upside down, her hair falling in a white curtain as she smiled cheerfully. "I'm Tryst. I haven't got a last name, though." She said, sticking a hand out; Rysha said it was polite to shake hands when you met someone. "Nice t'meet'cha, Mr. Tough Kid."

Tryst laughed again, wiggling the end of her tail. "Why did the other kid need a wheel chair?" She asked; she hadn't seen one, but she assumed it was the same as it's name, a chair with wheels.

Cody:
"Well thank ya kindly, ya can jus' go ahead an' call me 'Cody'." He folded his arms over his chest and watched her little antics. It would have been nice to move like that on the monkey bars- then again he was quite attatched to his legs. She could never learn to kick, run, or ride anything.

"Well they didn't move their tails same as ya can. I guess they's some kinda water horse thin'. They got 'em on th' animal channel. Funky things."

Tryst:
"A seahorse, mebbe?" She offered; she had watched a little TV when at the lab still, so knew a limited amount. Rysha's television was one that definitely left something to be desired, though there might be a new one after they moved in with Riley an Emmet.

That thought made a smile come to her face, lighting up her eyes. "Do you have brothers or sisters, Cody?" Tryst asked, the faintest of hisses coming through her words as she spoke.

Cody:
"Somethin' like that. Harder body'n ya. Harder tah move I 'pose... th' tail's got a good grip right at th' end though." He leaned against one of the supports and started rolling one of his shoulders around to loosen it up a bit.

"Eh? Yeah I got two brothers... got Edan and Amir. Both're sissies. I can take 'em."

Tryst:
When he agreed with her, she decided she was glad she was a python. She'd hate to be stuck in a wheelchair, that'd be the epitomy of suckage... Ignoring the fact that some would say being part animal in general would be bad, but it wasn't, really. Tryst liked it at least, though she wouldn't know how to compare it to being normal.

"I've got a twin brother, I call him Emmy. We're gonna be living together soon." She said gleefully, clapping her hands in front of her. Still upside down as well, but not seeming to have any issues with it.

Cody:
"S' not as great as they make it seem on tv an' on th' radio ya know. They're a pain. Edan's always bossin' me around, tellin' me tah do this n' that, pick up mah room, make sure tah do th' dishes. A pain th' lot of it...and Amir's a pink fluffy.............thing. I go tah try an hit 'em and I get shocked."

He shook his head, "Messed up I'm tellin' ya. Better off by yerself."

Tryst:
She shrugged slightly, deciding not to argue the point. Some siblings argue alot, others don't. Tryst and Emmet were some of those that didn't. "Me an' Emmy get along real well, and we didn't wanna be sep-sep...sep-rated." She stumbled on the difficult word, but smiled when she felt she managed it. "That's why mamma an' Riley are moving together, so me an' Emmy can be close."

"Wouldn't you be lonely by yourself, though?" Tryst asked curiously, watching him while pushing herself through the bars so she was in an upright and sitting position now.

Cody:
"S' all good if das what yer intah. Mah cousin tried bunkin' up with us... she got all clingy, not my thing." He tipped his hat back and rested his arms behind his neck.

Lonely? Not really. He didn't mind the solitude. Sure he got aggrivated if he couldn't hang out with Keanu and Paxton now and then...but that was different. "Naw, I don't get lonely. I got Tex over there." He pointed to the napping dragon. "'e's plenty o' company fer me. If 'e's not up fer bein' social I jus' go work out or somethin'."

Tryst:
"I'd get real lonely if I didn't have Emmet around." She said solemnly. When they had been given over to Rysha and Riley, she was frightened that they'd be seperated, and that was painful to think about. It was working out now, but still, there had been that small chance.

Tryst giggled, watching the dragon spralwed out on the grass. "You work out alot, huh?" She asked, looking back at Cody. "What kinda dragon is he?" Tryst knew she'd be getting a dragon too, eventually, but she was still curious about them. She hadn't seen too many of the hatched dragons, only the eggs on occasion before they were assigned to kids.

Cody:
Cody glanced over towards the dragon, "He's the best kind there is! A copper dragon." he pushed away from the support and walked himself over. Tex rumbled and lifted his head up a bit. Tryst would note that both the dragon and the bull had a golden ring falling from their nostrils.

"An' Keanu's got a silver, Paxton a gold. Like I said- we're the three best. Gold silver an' copper." Ignore that it was supposed to be bronze- maybe she didn't know that.

Tryst:
Tryst laughed, clapping her hands again. She didn't know the difference between copper and bronze, so didn't comment on that. Instead, she mused aloud. "I wonder what kinda dragon I'm gonna get..."

She leaned forward with her hands resting on the part of her tail crooked around the bar, what would equal her knees. "I wanna meet Keenu and Paxtin now." Tryst said, smiling cheerfully.

Cody:
"When ya get one, come on over an' show me, er...tell me. Whatever works." He shrugged, "There's been some trouble with some of th' dragons I hear, or there was. Dunno if they got it resolved." He snorted. Too bad, he didn't get to see any of that action either.

"Eh? Keanu and Paxton. TON." He chuckled, "Y'ell meet 'em eventually. Good guys them. Real good. Do anythin' fer a friend."

Cody scowled down at the paper, his good eye narrowing until it was hardly a slit hidden in the shadows of his bangs. A C…. it was passing but it was still a C. Who needed magic classes anyway!? It seemed like a waste of time for someone like him. He wasn’t the magical sort. He didn’t need to know any kind of spell to enhance himself. He was plenty strong without it.

Strong, that was, until he had to face his ‘mother’. Lecture after lecture followed his school career. Bullying other kids, attacking teachers, destroying school property....getting an eye bashed out. She over-reacted about every little thing. Of course Edan and Amir didn't help. Both were studious enough to make up for his short-comings. It didn't help that both were just as OCD as Winter was.

As he neared the house, he could make out both Winter and Amir's voices in the garden. With school out, Amir was home from his academy to enjoy the summer with his family. Edan was likely at work. At least there were only two clucking hens to tug his ears off.

He approached, not bothering to announce his return home. Amir glanced up as he neared and gave Winter a nudge.

"Cody, you're a little late." Winter stood herself up and clapped her hands together to clear some of the soil from them.

Cody only shrugged.

"I could use some help out here, the weeds are especially bad. If we don't keep up with them we won't have any squash or cukes come harvest time."

"'s what the supermarket's fer."

Amir rolled his eyes, "There's a lot to be said about food that you grow with your own two hands you know. It's good for you."

"Obviously not good 'nuff if we're not gettin' nothin' outta it."

"We would be if you-"

"Knock it off you two." Winter stepped over the small row of cucumbers, careful to avoid that small sprouts that had pushed free from the soil. "Is that your report card?"

Cody glanced down to the paper once more and winced. "...yeah...."

"Let me see."

Cody pushed the paper forward and glanced off to the side. Winter was quiet for a time, reading over the side notes that the teacher had left. Amir leaned over a few times, only to have himself shoved back. Cody simply stood, waiting for Winter's inevitable remarks.

"Well...", Winter said finally, "It's not so bad."

"Wha?" Cody snapped his gaze back over.

"Well you didn't break anything, you didn't attack anyone, and the teacher said you put in an effort. Just... try harder next time. Alright?"

Cody blinked. He wasn't quite sure he was actually hearing this. "...ah....kay."

"Are you kidding!?" Amir snapped, "If I get a B you tan my backside!"

Cody shifted his gaze to the pink-skinned sheep boy. He was getting away with a bad grade and Amir was -mad-? If Winter didn't tan his hide, Cody would have gladly volunteered.

Winter shot a quiet reprehend down to Amir who promptly bit his lip. She'd explain later- Cody knew that look.

"....so.... I'm not grounded or nothin'?"

"No." Winter folded the paper in two and tucked it away. "But I won't let it slide next time. Understand."

"Gotcha." Cody flashed a wide grin and brought his arms up across his chest. "Need a hand there?"

Amir's mouth dropped open. Winter nodded and stepped back over the row of cukes. "If you can weed in the trenches and deepen them a bit that'd be great."

"Gotcha."

"I don't know about this, Cody...", Amir stood shaking at one end of the sandbox.... a very large sandbox.

The park was currently unoccupied. Cody was once again skipping class and Amir had a day off for teacher conferences. It left both boys at home with nothing to entertain them but themselves. Cody hated video games, unlike Amir, and grew tired of daytime television quickly. There was nothing on but court shows where angry couples and room mates squabbled over who-said-that and who ran off with what. There were game shows- none of which appealed to a child with Cody's interests. Every time he sat, holding his breath for someone to get something caught on a giant wheel of prizes or what not it never happened, leaving him grouchy by the end of the show. Finally- weepy soap operas. They were too mushy, the acting was terrible, and what fights they held were always over who slept with who- and they were incredibly staged.

So it was up to Amir to keep Cody entertained while Winter went to work. Otherwise- he'd find something to break. At least that's what he'd threatened to do. Keanu and Paxton hadn't been around, and Cody was growing more and more restless.

He threw his arms out and crooked his head from one side to the other, popping his neck.

"Shut up. You said you would, so that's what you're gonna do." Cody snorted. "If you back out now, I'll just hafta figure out how to play with that...station thing you like so well."

"You won't touch it! I stood in line for four hours to get it! In the rain even!"

"Uphill both ways, blah blah blah." He dipped down, sinking his fingers into the sand. His tail snapped back and forth as he lined himself up. Everything took a little more time thanks to the loss of his other eye- but with practice came perfection. At least...he hoped so.

Amir hunched down and bit his lip. He really didn't want to do this. He'd told Cody hundreds- perhaps thousands -of times that it wasn't a good idea. The bull, however, was far too excited to listen to reason. Sure Amir's school had battles. It was in their nature, but they each had...abilities beyond what Cody had. The kid was -just- a bull. Granted- he was learning magic- but he had skipped so many days of class...

Cody snorted and charged forward, kicking up large clouds of sand in his wake. Amir tensed and bent his knees, bracing himself. His heart raced, pounding against his throat and chest as time seemed to slow. He could see Cody's wide horns, the playful but still aggressive look in his remaining eye, and the twisted smirk on his lips.

He was supposed to stand there and try to counter Cody's attack physically. Either by grabbing his horns and tossing him to the side or somehow charging and locking shoulders. However- Amir wasn't exactly the strongest physical fighter in the world. His teacher had said as much. Resilient as he was, he was nothing compared to a bull. He -wanted- to follow the rules his brother had laid down, really he did, but he wanted to prevent further bruising even more.

He panicked. As Cody came within range, he threw his hands out in front of him. A wave of power rippled through his body, starting at his striped ears, through his hair, down his neck into his shoulders. His tail blazed an angry blue as sparks shot from the orb there. In a wild flash of blue and pink, Cody was thrown clean from his hooves, out of the sandbox, onto his back a few yards off. Amir's fingers smoked as he panted, wide-eyed. Again, the world slowed.

A million things shot through his mind then. Did he kill his brother!? No, he couldn't have. Cody was too thick for that. And he was breathing. Breathing was good. Secondly- did he knock him unconscious? That would be fortunate considering his sibling's incredibly short temper. Nope. Cody was swearing. Thirdly- how fast could Cody run? Pretty fast, he'd seen him charge in a blind rage. A rage that he likely just re-awakened.

"Meep...", Amir dropped his hands, turned, and bolted in the opposite direction.

Cody's body convulsed. Small sparks shot between his hairs as he slowly, painfully, stood himself up. "YA PINK COTTON-BALLED YEALLA NECK SON OF A BLEEDIN' C-c-cu...." His body twitched a few times more.

It took forever to stand himself back up. Even then his muscles felt as if they'd been run through a blender and rearranged back into his body. By then, Amir had rounded the block and had gone out of sight. He only had one place to go...

"Cheatin' piece o' rancid meatstuffs..."

Magic 101 - Final | Self RP/Class
Thomas added a few final touches to the laboratory’s décor. His final student was… one with a short attention span, and a horribly short temper. The grey stone walls had been plastered with the illusion of red wallpaper. Curtains hung from the ceiling, occasionally flapping about as a timed breeze blew in from one of the many orbs that Thomas had arranged just for the occasion. Cody was easily distracted by both movement and the color red- as stereotypical as it was. Perhaps it had to do with the head trauma he suffered. It was hard to say.

The trial of choice was a large stone horse, reared back on its hind legs.

Thomas glanced over his shoulder towards the large clock hanging just over the door. The boy wasn’t the most…diligent creature. Nor the most polite. His lateness was expected but it was nearly twenty after by then.

The man sighed and limped his way over to the doorway. There he stood for another three minutes before the door opened up and the bull boy stomped in. He was dressed in a thick pair of jeans that, despite their quality, had already worn through their knees. Under his thick leather coat (ironic…leather) he had a padded vest and a thick cotton shirt. He’d come alone, strangely enough. Most children had arrived with their dragons.

Thomas lifted an eyebrow and glanced between the bull boy and the clock, allowing the silence to sink in. Cody didn’t seem to notice. The bull was too busy looking around the room, as expected. Oblivious to his teacher’s frustration and oblivious to his tardiness.

“Ahem.” Thomas shut the door slowly and stepped into the room after Cody.

“We gonna get something’ started or what? Can I jus’… get my report card n’ go home?” Cody turned to face the magic teacher.

“Hm… your patience is encouraging.”

The bull snorted around his nose ring and rolled his eyes. Definitely an encouraging child. Thomas stepped into the room and pointed his staff over towards the statue.

“If you’ve been studying this should be simple for you.” He instructed quietly, “Simply lift the statue. Focus… and lift the statue. Over your head, wait to the count of three, and lower it down to the ground. Remember how-”

“Pick it up, over mah head, an’ back to th’ ground. Right.” Cody rubbed his hands together and stepped up to the statue.

“…boy do not get ahead of yourself.” Thomas waved a hand through the air. Cody froze in place. “You must focus. Control the flow of energy through your body. Lift with your legs, not your back. First channel the energy into your arms and legs, as your body becomes taxed, send energy to that place. Focus….this is the most important part of any skill.

Cody was unfrozen, though he seemed frustrated by having any part of him restricted. He turned to Thomas, his eye blazing as he crouched down to the base of the statue and tightened his trip around the base.

Thomas stepped back and readied his staff. No doubt this one would let his pride blind him- if he wasn’t blinded by the staged distractions around him.

Cody closed his eye, drew in a deep breath, and threw his weight upwards. Thomas was surprised that the boy threw his legs into gear, his back remained straight as a post. The boy’s aura surged into his arms, shoulders, and into his legs. His knees trembled under the weight as he huffed and snorted, but slowly the statue lifted up past his chest and eventually up over his head.

“One…”, Thomas counted out calmly, “Two…three. Very well.”

Cody bit down on his lower lip but otherwise remained standing under the statue. His chest heaved with the enormous effort that the task demanded of him.

“…Cody. You can lower the statue now.”

The boy looked right through him, instead his single eye remained locked forward. It was almost as if he was lost in his own world. The strain, the stress, and the pain surging through his limbs had been completely removed from his consciousness. The boy’s mind was growing faint, exhaustion blurred the edges of his awareness, eventually filling his vision with black dots.

Thomas snapped his fingers, sending a jolt through the boy’s mind. Cody trembled, the way he might after waking from a daze, and snorted once more.

Slowly and carefully, the bull lowered the statue down to the ground and stepped back. He swayed on his hooves, blinked sluggishly, and fell backwards. A bubble of air caught him just inches from the ground and slowly lowered him back.

“Showoff…”, Thomas stepped forward, shaking his head. He hadn’t practiced…but he was very aware of how to use his abilities. It was a dangerous trait- perhaps a deadly one. “Well there’s good news and bad news.” Thomas announced to the boy’s unconscious body. “You pass. But I’m sending a note home to your mother.”
