Okay, here are pictures of the beginning of my tattoo. whee They got the basic lines and some shading done, and I go back in about 2 weeks for the rest of the shading and bold lines. Yeah, the picture quality sucks. >.< But these were taken about 15 minutes after. This morning, it's not even red. O_O;;;

Is that on the nape of your neck? It looks like it to me. And, what does the 9999 stand for?

 The guy in front is K9999, from the King of Fighters series. He was a staple in my team on 2k2. A lot of friends started calling me C9999, and then it evolved to what it is today. And yeah, it's on mah nape. Little lower than I had first planned, but wanted something that was concealed when I wore a shirt.

How're your snakebites doing now? Still a bit of swelling, gonna go in sometime this weekend to see if I can switch my studs out, or if I should keep em in a bit more. They said it's usually 14 days to switch out, but also since I got both done it might be a little longer.

Thanks. whee It still needs a lot of work done. It's weird. Not even bleeding. Not even red. O.o Looks like I've had it a week or two. My friend who's all tattooed said it looks phenomenal, and that I take ink really well, even better than him. So that's a good sign. xd Barely hurts now, but I haven't been touching it to anything. Only touching it's gotten is when my friend put some A & D ointment on it for me.

Well, mine's a lot smaller than yours, but it barely bled as well. No tenderness, no redness a few hours afterwards. But it seems from everyone i've known to get one on their back, they don't seem to bleed much.
Anyway, what colors you planning to get it done with? Think it would look nice with a green/yellow combo, but that's just me. biggrin

I'm not sure yet. xd I really like blue colors, and plan on getting full sleeves on my arms with lots of blue in them. I want all my tattoos to vaguely go together.. Mostly because I'm just a weird artist inside. sweatdrop My friend has a big backpiece that took him about 20 hours. He said it made his back all sticky, so it would stick to the sheet overnight. *Shudder* Rather glad my body is taking ink well. xd

Mine hardly bled at all for its size. I was surprised. But yeah, congrats and good luck coloring it.

So I've notcied some scarring around my piercing I went to my piercer and she said it was sort of irritated from me flipping it up and down so much. She has it too and worse.. so I guess I'm lucky I caught it in time! she said to do some more salt soaks and.. stick a cammomile teabag up my nose xd it smells nice... I hope it goes away though because it looks kinda icky. Not that anyone sees it but me.. and now you..

Personally, doesn't look too bad to me. Looks like it's actually healing quite well. ^^
as for scaring, it's natural just as swelling, redness, irritation, sensitivity, etc. I mean, metal isn't really supposed to go into your body like this anyway. So it's natural for our bodies to respond like this.
Good luck, and soak with sea salt a lot! it works like a charm.

my tat only bled moderately after getting it, but it remained pretty red and tender around the area, especially the first few days. The worst part was the ithcing after it was about half healed and trying to scab over. >.< My body takes ink ok, but I wish it did a little better. sweatdrop I do however see a lot of tats that are raised on the skin after they heal, especially the linework, and mine didn't do that. I'm not sure if it's just due to the way the body heals for each person, or if it has something to do with how the artists tattoos the skin. I heard a tat wasn't supposed to be raised up after healing, but I'd probably go and ask around a bit more to what causes it before saying much. xp
