Demyx immediately stopped, backing away nervously.
"I..er...you seemed...upset?"
The blonde catboy grinned nervously, fidgeting around a bit.
"I just thought it'd help calm you down...."

Kadaj sat up a bit and noting his minion's nervous state, forced his features into the most harmless smile he could manage. Granted, it probably still looked like the expression one would see on an asylum inmate, but he couldn't help that.
"I think I might owe you more cookies."

Demyx eyed the smile, tilting his head slightly.
"You...do? You don't have to boss...I was just trying to help."
Gasp! He was doing something to help and not for the reward of cookies! Amazing!

Kadaj studied his minion carefully. He was fairly certain that Demyx wasn't attempting coyness when he claimed that he didn't need the cookie reward. Well well well, he thought. We seem to have gotten him to the point of doing things just to please me. Amazing. And it took less than a day too.
"No reason not to reward good work or thoughtfulness. It won't be as big a pile of cookies as previously, of course. After all, we can't spend all our money on cookies. Some of it does have to go into my Conquer the World fund... "

Tail swishing a bit in happiness, Demyx grinned over at the silver haired one. Well, he was getting a bit more cookies...and his boss was fine! Horray! Everything was back to normal, or about as normal as the pair could be.
"I was practicing with my water...while you were asleep."
Demyx's grin took on a proud aura. Though he didn't get very far in his practicing, at least he had made the effort.

Kadaj began to absently scritch behind what passed as the Creeper's ears.

Demyx watched Kadaj scritch at the Creeper's ears. The creature seemed rather happy for the attention.
"And I dunno...I haven't thought of anything yet..."

Kadaj gave the creeper a final pat before turning to stare resolutely at Demyx.
"All righty. Load up on energy. We're going to have a practice session."

Demyx bounced a bit on his feet. He was always the hyperactive one.

Kadaj hurried out into the back yard. He normally didn't care if a building got destroyed, but it was generally considered bad policy to destroy one's own home.

Demyx skittered off after his boss, eager to see what this summoning was. Had he known Kadaj could accidently destroy a building in the process, he might not have been quite so eager.

"Of course. How do you think I got the creeper into the house? I want to see if I can manage to call up more than one."
He reached the backyard and scanned quickly for signs of anyone else. He didn't want to cause a panic. not yet.

Kadaj nobly refrained from pointing out that it was just a typical backyard. Instead, he considered Demyx's question.
"I don't know exactly how many Creepers exist, but yes, there is more than just your new pet. And, if one has the right sort of tools, other things can be summoned as well. But I don't. So don't ask. Right now, Creepers are about all I can manage."
Once he had finished his patrol around the yard, he nodded in satisfaction.
"All right, coast looks clear. Let's do this... "

Demyx quickly scrambled over to a table, hopping up on top of the piece of furniture to watch his boss. Crouched there, tail flicking behind him, Demyx turned his bright green eyes on the silver haired one.
"Go ahead boss, I wanna see what you can do!"
