Luckly the laws of physics were stronger, as she solidified Candice felt her body 'pop' out of the gurney unlike when she had trapped her food in the wall. If she had been a little more coherant that would be something to explore at a later date but there were more pressing matters. The movie did help a lot, giving her mind something to consentrate on. Candice calmed down a little and, with her thoughts now distracted by the DVD, the medic was able to get the rest of the anesthesia in at least. Candice felt her eyes get heavy as the stuff started to crawl through her veins and the movie seemed to get even larger than life... now she was riding Simba as he was running through the gorge being chased by wildebeats...
Joshua did as Charles said and sat in the waiting room, head leaned back against the cold wall. He thought about what had happened and wondered if she'd be ok. "Children bounce well..." he murmured. He wasn't sure where it came from but he hoped it would be true. Children were pretty resiliant... he himself had broken his arm trying to climb trees as a boy. Though it had been more to get away from the other kids that had been teasing him rather than to find out what was at the top... He remembered getting a cast, that was pretty cool. It was itchy as heck but a lot of people had wanted to sign it. He still had a picture somewhere of the cast, covered in scrawled writings and messages of good will.

"No." Zayd said firmly, looking up at him. Firstly, he didn't like helicopters (baaddd memories there), and secondly, Jenny had allowed him acess to the TV the other night, to watch an environmental program, and she had been complaining about them filming from helicopters and how expensive and bad for the enviroment it was. He had a feeling she would be a little mad if he said yes - which wasn't *all* true. He didn't offer another thing, unsure of what Charles wanted him to do - for the most part, Zayd was of the opinion that it was a good idea to keep adults happy.

It wasn't too long that Candice came out still a little groggy from the sleep stuff. Sure enough a cast was wrapped securlt around her ankle and he was given directions by the Dr. on how to take care of it. The Doctore stressed epsecially that she was not, under any circumstances, allowed to poke anything into the cast to scratch at it as this one one of the most common causes of re-visiting the care center due to things gettign lost in the cast. Joshua rolled her out in a wheel chair and then, after promicing it's safe return as soon as they got home, he pressed the little transpoter button and found their way back in the house. After carefully tucking her into bed and answering her murmured questions he sent the chair back the same way. She'd be able to use crutches for the next few days.

It wasn't too long before Charles had somewhere rustled up a coloring book, given it to Zayd, and told him and Jenny that they could leave when they wanted. He had some important things to do, as always. He'd also given Candice a coloring book before he'd left. He'd nodded to Joshua, trying to look friendly, but probably only managing to look tired and annoyed. That had not gone as planned. Why did kids always do this kind of thing? There wasn't any thought about laming the guardian... Kids were simply an insane bunch.
OOC: Sorry about the terrible response. I figured I'd tie up loose ends. Ending from my standpoint.
