Shhh... I be hunting for... a job?
Reign idly flipped through the classifieds section of the paper. It was boring and very dull work to try and find an interesting job. Especially since she was young and had no work experience. Why was Reign hunting for a job again? Oh, right. Because her mom had refused to buy this expensive dress Reign had wanted, so the girl had got the bright idea she'd just get a job and pay for it herself.
Babysitting wasn't a steady enough job if she wanted to get that dress before it went out of style. She'd browsed the mall, but no place was really hiring... So where did that leave her in terms of finding employment? Hunting through the boring ads in the paper.
Highlighter in hand (though she'd yet to use it), Reign was combing through the ads in hopes of finding one or two potential jobs. Most everything that she came across was rather dull and sounded like a boring job. Except for one or two, but those required previous work experience. How she hated this system. To work a good job, you had to work some cruddy job that you would hate first... Then you could get a better job, but most likely still not something you'd like a lot. No wonder people hated working so much.
Sighing, the girl finally spotted something that might be worth looking into. "Decent wages. Great tips. Okay hours..." She applied highlighter ink (pink, of course) to the ad and skimmed through the rest of the page. Nothing else really worth even calling about, so it looked like this one place was about the only thing that could be worth looking into. Reign eyed the ad. It was some resturant... called Hooters. She shrugged, having never heard of the place before.
Her fingers quickly dialed the number in the ad. After a fairly short conversation, she got the address for the resturant. Snagging her purse, Reign headed out towards the front door. "Mom! I'm going off to look at getting a job!" Hearing a muffled acknowledgement from somewhere within the house, Reign headed on out to the bus stop.
A grinning Reign returned some time later that afternoon. "Mom! I got the job!!"
Niki rushed out to the living room to give her daughter a hug. "That's great, Reign! So where at? When do you start? What are you going to be doing?"
Reign chuckled. "Mom, Mom. Chill. It's at a resturant. It's called Hooters. I get to start tomorrow."
Niki just stared at her daughter for a long moment. "Hooters?" Her smile faded some. "Oh... well, I'm glad you got a job, Reign..."

And then there were three....
It was a rather typical, eventful Saturday at the Ledell household. The five minidragons and imps were outside bothering Ala and Bob as they enjoyed the cooler weather, Ala lounging in her favorite tree. Reign was off to the mall, probably looking at the frilliest dresses she could find. And Niki was trying to sit at her computer and work while the twins ran wild around the house.
The phone rang and Niki yelled at the boys to quiet down as she reached for the cordless and pressed the talk button. "Hello?" She listened as the person on the other end spoke for a long time, her mouth moving into a frown that deepened as the conversation went on. As the phone then went dead in her hands, the house went silent.
"That was quick..." She muttered, slowly putting the phone down and processing what had just happened. The phone call had been from Rouge, who'd explained that the twins were needed to return to the ship for some reason or another and she was thanked for her help in caring for them... The woman slowly stood and walked down the hallway, tears brimming in her eyes as she saw the two bedrooms empty. Aiden's was as messy as ever and Shito's was very organized, other than the two cars in the middle of the floor that the boy had probably been playing with right before he'd been beamed up to the ship.
A little later on, Ala trudged back into the house to hear the sound of someone sobbing. The girl frowned and slowly padded down the hallway to find her mother in Shito's room, crying. "Mom...?" The girl asked, worried.
Niki swept her first daughter into her arms, still upset. "The twins had to go back... they were needed for something... I didn't really understand what they were saying... but the boys are gone!" The woman broke down and leaned on the koala girl heavily.
Ala awkwardly patted her mother's back, wishing Reign was here to help. She helped her mother get to her own bedroom and set Niki onto the bed. "I'm going to call Reign, okay Mom?" The girl was still in shock some and was trying not to break down crying like her mother.
A quick phone call and Reign was rushing home as fast as the public transit system would take her. Finally, the chimp girl got back to find her sister and mother crying. Between the two, they managed to tell Reign what had happened and she joined the two.
"They could've given us a bit more warning..." Reign muttered later as the three tried to pull themselves together and make dinner.
"They sounded rather panicked..." Niki said as she and the girls made a salad. "I guess something went wrong and they had to pull the twins out, but... it doesn't seem all that fair, really."
"Yeah..." the girls muttered and the three sat down and tried to become a family once again like they had been before the twins' arrival. But it was going to be hard for all three.

I can't believe the twins are gone... The house is much quieter now without them around, though the imps and minidragons try to make more noise to make up for it. Mom's pretty much banished them to the outdoors permantently.
I was thinking of moving out and getting a place of my own soon, but I know Mom won't be able to handle it now. She still has a hard time with the twins gone. I think she's going to give a lot of their clothes and stuff to Aunt Tara for Korin, if he hasn't gone as well... If he has, we might have a yard sale to get rid of a lot of the stuff... They had a lot of toys and stuff, but then again so do Ala and I.
I just hope the boys are doing okay, wherever they are now. I miss them.

Mom doesn't know about it yet, but I've been looking seriously at moving out and getting a place of my own... I'm thinking of talking to Nara and working at the Musaeum, probably helping teach fighting techniques or something.
Maybe Mom can get another scroll kid to help comfort her. She's still upset from the twins leaving so abruptly. I don't know how she'll handle me moving out... But maybe another little kid can help. I know Ala wants to move out as soon as she can... Dunno why, really, but she does.

I've been rather down lately due to the twins' unexpected absence. The girls and I have struggled to keep going over the last several months, but it seems we might have something to help cheer us up now. Bob found a leaf outside the other day (Yeah, I know.. middle of winter, there shouldn't be any leaves) and I just feel that this is... special.
After all, Reign came from a piece of paper and the twins came out of a necklace. Gaia's just wierd like that, it seems. But I brought the leaf inside and carry it around the house with me and talk to it. I've noticed the girls giving me strange looks on occasions, but I'm not crazy.... Right?!
I have to be careful and keep an eye on the leaf, because Bob likes to try and take it back from me if I'm not watching. I caught him at it twice just yesterday and shooed him off, which earned me a grumble from the dragon. I think he's lonely, being the only male and all... poor thing. The first time he managed to take the leaf from me, I found him talking the poor thing's leg-er... stem? off. I rescued the poor thing from the talkative dragon and was then forced to listen to Bob grumble as he followed me around for a while.
Maybe I am going crazy....

Planting Time!
"Mom!" came Ala's shout throughout the house. "I'm gonna be late for class!!" The girl paced the floor in the entryway while waiting for her mother to hurry up.
"Sorry, sorry, Ala. But you should tell me more than an hour in advance that you have an extra class today..." The woman rushed around the corner and opened the door, nearly tripping over a package on the front porch on the way out. "What the...?" Niki muttered as she picked the flower pot up and read the attached note. The woman read through the note twice before Alaqua tugged her mother's sleeve.
"C'mon, Mom!" The koala girl gestured to where Bob was waiting at the vehicle.
Niki sighed and set the pot inside the house on a little table just inside the door. "Hey, Reign! Come take care of this for me!" She removed the leaf from her pocket and set it next to the pot. She sighed and went towards the jeep to get Ala to her class.
Reign wandered out from her room, curious as to what her mother wanted her to do. She spotted the pot and read through the note. "What?!" She picked up the leaf, which trembled a bit. "So... you're a kid?" The girl sighed. "And I'm apparently supposed to plant you," Reign was now talking to herself more than the leaf. "Seems like Mom wasn't going crazy after all..."
The chimp girl dumped some of the soil into the pot and placed the leaf in while carefully adding more soil to support it. "Suppose I should water you..." She muttered when she was finished. The leaf gave a sort of a nod or wave, Reign wasn't sure which, but she assumed that was a yes. The young woman got a cupful of water from the kitchen and dumped it into the pot, placing the leaf on the kitchen table for now. Her mother could always move it later.

The Summons
The Ledell household was rather calm on that early Saturday afternoon. Alaqua and Bob were in the backyard, enjoying a bit of the somewhat mild weather. The koala girl was eager for spring to come. Reign was home as well, in her room as was usual. Nikiana was talking to the potted leaf in the living room when the doorbell rang.
"Guess we'd better get that, huh?" Niki asked the leaf as she picked the pot up and headed for the front door. The woman opened the door to find a man in a white labcoat standing on her doorstep. One glance at the emblem on his labcoat told Niki all she needed to know.
"Miss Ledell?" The tech asked Niki, who nodded in response.
"What's up at D-corp this time?" The woman wondered why they hadn't called like they had last time when Ala had been needed at the building for the dragon riot.
The D-tech appeared rather startled and he glanced down at the clipboard he was carrying. "You are... Miss Reign Ledell?" He asked, glancing at Niki for confirmation.
"Hmm? No... that's my eldest daughter..." Confused, Niki set the flowerpot down on the small table beside the door and waved the man in. "I'll go get her..."
Niki walked down the hallway towards Reign's room, wondering what in the name of little green apples the D-techs could want with Reign. The chimp girl hadn't been produced there like Alaqua and Reign would not be equipped to handle a dragon...
Unfortunately, the walk was too short for Niki to ponder much more than that. "Reign?" The woman knocked gently on the door before opening it. Reign glanced up at her mother, pulling her headphones off one ear.
"Reign, there's... someone here who wants to talk to you..." Reign caught the puzzling tone of her mother's voice and quickly put her mp3 player aside and headed to the living room.
The D-tech was staring at the leaf when the two women emerged. He turned and spotted Reign. "You are Miss Reign Ledell?" When the chimp girl nodded, he gestured towards the door. "Okay, then. If you'll just come with me to D-corp, we'll get you to sign the paperwork and have you on your way in no time."
Reign and Niki exchanged puzzled glances. "What paperwork?" Niki finally asked as the tech appeared to be waiting for Reign to follow him.
The tech referred to his clipboard for a moment. "Why, the paperwork you signed when you took custody of..." He glanced down again, "Alaqua."
Two jaws hit the floor as the women stared at the tech. "You've got to be kidding!" Niki finally managed.
The tech sighed, clearly impatient to be back to the building and on to his next task. "No. And I suggest you not get involved in this, Miss..." Here was the clipboard again. "Nikiana Ledell. Parents who cause troubles have often found themselves with another child to care for." He plastered a smile onto his face and turned to Reign again. "Now, let's be on our way..."

All in the Family
The car ride home had been... strangely quiet. Cassi had been terrified of the sight of Niki in the driver's seat and so Reign sat in the back with the child while they headed home. The boy was still upset about having to leave Kate, even with the promise of seeing her again very soon.
The jeep pulled into the driveway of the Ledell home and Niki was rather relieved. Now they would just have to get this little kid adjusted to their home, which would hopefully be easier here at home.
"We're home!" Niki announced to the house as she entered, smiling as she spotted the potted leaf at the door. "Oooh, you need more water..." The woman muttered, picking the pot up and carrying it into the kitchen, leaving Reign and Cassi alone in the living room.
The sliding door at the back of the house slid open, then shut as Ala entered the house. "Hey Mom!" The girl wandered on through the kitchen and started down the hallway, glancing over at Reign for a moment. "Hey Reign." Alaqua started on down the hallway before coming to an abrupt halt and turning around, peering at the little thing hiding at Reign's legs. "What's that?" She asked her sister, pointing to Cassi.
"Don't you mean 'Who's that'?"
Ala rolled her eyes. "Did it come from the leaf?"
Cassi clung tightly to Reign's legs as the chimp woman glared at the scary thing that had just walked into the room. "No," Reign stated. "Mom's got the leaf in the kitchen. Cassi came from D-corp."
"D-CORP?!"
Cassi jumped at the sudden loud noise and that familiar warm, wet feeling began to spread on his shorts again. "Uh oh..." he said, hugging Reign's leg. "Mommy..."
Ala's eyes went wide. "Mommy?" She pointed at Reign, questioningly. "Does that kid mean you?" She gestured at Cassi, then Reign again. "You.. kid... Mommy...??"
Reign sighed at her sister. "Yes, D-corp gave me Cassi." She turned her attention then to the child. "C'mon Cassi. Let's go find you something to wear. Mom's got a lot of my old clothes still, I think..."
Ala followed the two to Reign's room, lurking at the door while Reign dug about before finding a box that had been shoved back in her closet. "Aha!" She opened it and pulled out a frilly pink dress. "You'll look awesome in this!" Reign glanced at Ala. "Mind?"
Ala shrugged. "Not like it's any big deal or anything... it's just like changing the twins, isn't it?"
Sighing and rolling her eyes again, Reign helped Cassi take off the shirt and damp shorts. "If you're going to hang around, Ala, you can look in that box for some panties..." Reign stated as she got the shorts off and started to help Cassi with his underpants.
Ala blinked as she turned to hand Reign the pair or undergarments she'd found. "Uh.... Reign...?"
The chimp woman just peered at Cassi for a few long moments before retrieving the panties handed to her. She helped the boy get dressed (yes, in the pink frilly dress). "Cassi... why don't you go ask Grandma for a cookie?"
The boy trembled a bit with the idea of leaving his not-scary Mommy's side. "It's okay," Reign reassured him. "She's my mommy and she's not scary. She'll give you a cookie, too."
The boy slowly scooted past Ala and darted into the hall, heading back towards the kitchen. Reign sighed while Ala gave her a funny look. "I didn't know Cassi was a boy! Cassi's a girl's name... and the other kid with him was a girl... and he was in pink!"
"I didn't say anything." Ala stated, trying to suppress a grin.
Reign threw a pillow at Ala, who ducked, giggling. "Well, now to tell Mom that I'm moving out. Cassi's too..."
"Scaredy-cat?" Ala 'helpfully' supplied.
"I was going to say sensitive. He frightens rather easily... plus, there was this little girl with him and he's very attached to her... took us forever to seperate them." Reign let out a long sigh. "Mom's not going to like this...."
Niki had gone outside to fetch the mail while the girls and Cassi had been in Reign's bedroom. She came back into the house, pot under one arm while she leafed through the mail, to find a pink frilly dressed kid peering about curiously. When he spotted Niki, he gave a bit of a start. "You... Grandma?"
Niki twitched. "Uh... Call me Mama, okay?"
Cassi nodded. "Cookie...? Mommy said..."
Niki chuckled. "Let's go find some cookies!" About that time, Reign and Ala reappeared and Niki shoved a letter at Ala. "Letter from D-corp for you." She glanced at the rest of the stack and sighed. "And lots of bills for me... and a cookie for everyone!"
Ala glanced over at Reign. "Heh, good luck breaking the news to her..." She muttered, unheard by Niki as the woman searched out the cookiejar and handed out a sweet to everyone.
"Sorry, little leaf... I don't think you can eat a cookie..."
Cassi scooted closer to Reign. "Mommy... Mama scary..."
"Mama?"
Niki nodded. "I don't wanna be called Grandma. Makes me feel old. And I'm not old! So she's to call me Mama."
Ala almost choked on her cookie as she started to laugh. Reign cleared her throat. "Uh... Cassi's a boy..."
Cassi nodded. "Kate call me Cassi. For Cassidy." He munched happily on his cookie.
Niki just gave her daughters a strange look, then glanced at the leaf. "I'm sorry that our family's so messed up..."

Well, I finally did it. I told Mom I'm moving out. I just knew she was going to freak out about it and try to get me to stay... but strangely enough, she was rather calm about it. I think she realizes that Cassi here with the rest of the family just cannot work. The boy still doesn't go very far from me, or Mom now that he's decided she's okay.
I think Evelyn's appearance was the last straw for him. Another kid in the house all of a sudden scared him. And we already had to make sure that Bob wasn't around when Cassi was because the boy was terrified of the dragon. I don't know how he's going to handle his own dragon... maybe they'll pick something smaller for him. He's already really small, my old dresses seem a bit big on him...
Yeah, Ala's giving me a hard time about that, but Cassi didn't like the twins' old clothes and fussed until I dug my old dresses back out. This kid is seriously messed up. He's still halfway afraid of Ala as well... and the bajillion imps and little dragons we've got outside scared him terribly. I told Mom I wouldn't be taking mine with me and she just sighed. I know she isn't terribly fond of them, seeing how they're rather chaotic, but she understood.
In fact, Mom told me that D-corp has apartments that can be rented by parents. She said there were some kids that lived there already. Maybe Cassi will branch out some after we move... Mom's been helping me pack my stuff up and I told Cassi that we're moving. He was scared at first until I told him it was just him and me moving. That everyone else was staying here. Then he was happy and asked when we could see Kate again.
Poor kid's obsessed with that girl. (I did ask him if Kate was a girl... seeing our whole confusion over Cassi's gender... I wanted to make sure.) I'm hoping he'll make some other friends soon...

Now I know my ABCs
Niki sighed as she stared at her whole family gathered about. Reign was trying to get Cassi used to dealing with other kids his age, saying that Kat had said he was terrified at school and clung only to Kate. Apparently, the boy was falling behind in his schoolwork as well. So Niki and Reign had decided to have Cassi come over and Niki would work on teaching him along with her two littlest girls.
She's recruited Ala and Reign both to help her as she came up with an idea to hopefully open Cassi up a bit and keep him distracted enough to not be terrified by his two littlest aunts. Allete, specifically, scared him the most. Ala had convinced Bob to stay outside for the day and keep the imps and minidragons out there as well.
Niki had found cookie cutters in the shapes of the alphabet at the store and was now finishing up the cookie dough. She divided the dough into thirds and passed one portion of it to Ala, who was helping Allete. Another portion went to Reign, who was of course helping Cassi. The last bit she placed before Evelyn. The three older women grabbed rolling pins and helped guide the younger kids in rolling out the dough. Once rolled out, the kids got to make a cookie for each letter of the alphabet.
Each kid got their own cooking sheet and Niki was sure to label them to prevent any fighting later. While Niki and Reign moved the kids over to the table where icing, sprinkles, and all kinds of decorating materials were set out, Ala combined the leftover pieces of dough together and rolled it out to make some plain cookies, which she placed on another sheet. While Niki and Reign led the kids in singing the alphabet song and counting up to ten, Alaqua cleaned up the kitchen.
Finally, the cookies were done and Ala set them on plates for each kid. She let them cool while the kids continued to sing for a bit longer before taking them over to the table. The kids were excited about getting to decorate the cookies and went at it with a will. Even Allete seemed to have energy, which was saying something, considering she'd about fallen asleep during the singing and counting.
While the kids excited ate their cookies after decorating them, Niki smiled at Reign. Cassi was seeming to come out of his shell a bit. He even softly asked Evelyn if she could pass some pink sprinkles over to him. Perhaps if he could get used to his aunts for short periods of time, he'd be able to handle classes. Plus, Niki had suggested having a private session arranged with Kat. She knew the kindergarden teacher often did that.
While the two girls finished what cookies they'd wanted right then and had run off to go play, Cassi remained in his seat, glancing up at his mother, wondering if they'd be leaving soon. Reign shrugged at her mother's expression and gathered the remaining cookies he'd made before heading towards the door. Niki arranged quickly for Ala to watch her younger sisters before heading off to drive the two home.
Reign thought over going out and buying herself a car. She really needed it...

So, I've now got four daughters and a grandson. Man, do I feel old. Gaia's really messed up sometimes. I mean, it wasn't that long ago when Reign and Ala were just toddlers. Now Ala's growing up and hitting her teenage years and Reign's already moved out and ended up with a kid. Silly D-corp. I really need to talk with Alan about that whole deal... The tech even had the nerve to threaten me with another child if I tried interfering!
But now, the leaf has sprouted and we now have Evelyn at the house. And another corporation is following after D-corp and threatened me to take in Allete. So I've got three girls around the house. Reign comes over every now and then, but Cassi's scared of Allete and Bob. He's also still nervous around Ala. Evelyn, he seems to get along a bit better with.
The cooking alphabet lesson was a lot of fun. Now Evelyn sings the song really softly all the time. Allete was more excited about eating the cookies and was upset when they were all gone. Then she went and flopped onto the couch and turned on the TV. I'm a bit concerned about her. She needs to get out and about more... Evelyn seems rather shy, but she plays well by herself and can often get Cassi to play with her some when he comes over.
Ala's now pressing me to teach her how to drive and get her a car. I don't really understand why. After all, Bob's big enough to start flying her places now, but she still wants to learn to drive. I guess she's jealous because Reign's been looking at cars lately. I took Reign out to teach her to drive because she does need a car to get around on her own.

Vrroooooom... Beep! Beep!
Cassi was relieved when he and his mother stepped off the crowded metro bus. Too many people close by. He followed Reign as she headed towards a big parking lot with lots of pretty cars in it. There were even balloons tied to some of them! The boy tugged at his mother's hand and pointed to the pretty floating balloons. Reign smiled. "We'll see if you can get one, Cassi." She led the boy towards the nearest cars and started glancing at something stuck on the window.
The boy was crouched, eying his own reflection in the shiny wheels when a male voice spoke up behind him. "Good morning, ma'am! Have you been assisted yet?" Cassi yelped in surprise and darted towards the safety of his mother's leg, feeling his shorts go damp once again. Reign had managed to talk him into wearing shorts most of the time, though the shorts and shirts he wore she had to buy from the girl's section at the clothing stores. It was a step in the right direction... right?
Reign shook her head in response to the salesman's question as she unslung the little backpack-type purse she'd found. It was cute and it would hold several changes of clothes for Cassi's frequent accidents. There were even bags in the outer pouch to put wet clothes in. "Where're your restrooms?" Reign asked as she knelt to soothe her upset child.
The salesman looked a bit embarrassed to have scared a kid so badly that it wet its pants. Sheepishly, he led them inside and directed them to the women's restroom. "My name's William, ma'am, if you've got any questions..." He had a feeling he'd just scared off this customer by terrifying her kid.
"Sorry, Mommy," Cassi muttered as the woman helped him change out of his wet clothes. With a gesture, she motioned him to go on into a stall and try to go while they were here.
"It's okay, Cassi. Salesmen can be scary sometimes." She still wondered sometimes about putting the boy into some sort of diaper or pull-ups, but was afraid the boy would feel like a baby then. He was already embarrassed enough about his little problem.
"Don't have to," Cassi announced a few moments later.
"Okay then. We'll try later. Let's get you some dry clothes on."
A little while later, the pair exited the restroom and Reign found the man from before. "William, correct?" She questioned as he stepped over towards them.
"Yes, ma'am. Absolutely correct!" He shook hands with Reign, who introduced herself and Cassi. "So what can I interest you in today?"
"I'd like a car, though nothing too sporty. Just something that gets pretty good gas mileage. A four door would be great." William nodded and led the pair out to a section of the lot. He gestured towards several of the cars, telling Reign more details than she could really absorb at one time.
"If you'd like, you can test drive one and see if you like it." Reign agreed to that and selected the cheapest one of the models that he'd pointed out to her. "I'll go get the keys, but it's unlocked if you wanna go ahead and look at the inside while I'm doing that." He jogged off and Reign opened the driver's door and climbed in to look it over.
Cassi wandered over to the open door and looked at his mom fiddling with the various knobs. She smiled at him and got out to open the rear door for him. When the little boy climbed in, she nearly groaned. She was going to have to get a car seat for him. Oh well, he'd be okay for the test drive. She'd just have to go get it afterwards.
The salesman returned with the keys and Reign started the car up. She took it out for a nice spin around town, hopping onto the freeway to see how it handled faster speeds. Finally, she drove it back to the car lot. Cassi was disappointed that the fun trip was over already and frowned as his mom and the salesman started talking when they returned.
Still talking, Reign and the man headed inside. They were debating over the price of the car. They went into the man's office and Cassi climbed up into the big chair next to his mom and watched as they argued more and scribbled on a piece of paper. He frowned. He wanted to color!
The salesman seemed to notice Cassi watching them write down figures and got a sheet of paper and a pen and handed them to the boy. William was rewarded with a grin as Cassi started to scribble away.
Finally, almost two hours later, Reign was the owner of a new car. With a sigh, she gathered up Cassi and headed out towards the new car. When she told him that the car was theirs now, he frowned and seemed upset.
"What's wrong, Cassi? The car means we don't have to ride the bus anymore."
"Car no have balloon."

I don't feel so well...
Cassi had not been feeling that great for the last couple of days. Reign had already put him in bed and he'd been dosed with several forms of children's medicines. It appeared to be a cold, though not exactly a mild form of it. Reign had kept the boy in bed as much as possible.
However, panic was starting to set in when Cassi was walking out from his bedroom, wanting some juice. He suddenly just toppled over and started to shake. Frantic, Reign had rushed over to him, the juice forgotten as she checked his temperature. Things were not starting to look good...
"Come on, Cassi... let's get you wrapped up in some blankets..." Reign was already pulling her cell phone out as she grabbed the blankets from the boy's bed and wrapped him up, heading towards the door with the boy in her arms. "Mom! Cassi's getting worse..." She'd called her mother the other day, already worrying about the boy. "I'm taking him to the doctors in D-corp..."
The woman at the other end of the line said she'd head that way, knowing Reign would want some comfort. Having a sick child was never fun. Reign was opening the door when her phone rang. She juggled boy, door, and phone and managed to shut the door with her tail and answer her phone without dropping Cassi.
"Yes?" There was a long pause from Reign. "I'm already on my way." With that, she hung up and quickly jogged towards the main building. Living at D-corp had its advantages...

So, it's been awhile since I've written. Things have been busy. Allete had a flying class at the facility where she was produced. That... didn't go too well. She fell asleep. Probably from exertion. That kid needs more exercise... Though she doesn't seem to be getting fat or anything. Must be related to her DNA or something.
Speaking of DNA, Allete got to meet one of her 'parents'. And I can tell where her laziness and sleepiness come from! The guy could hardly keep his eyes open to talk to Allete. He's also where she got her horns and scales and one set of her wings. The techs said she'd get to meet her other parent when she got a bit older. I wonder what that one will be like...
Ala's still a teenager, which worries me a bit. She can get rather cranky at times. But... what am I to do? I just hope she'll grow out of it and fast. She and Bob have been having lots of classes and Bob's learned to breathe fire. Which is rather frightening. I just hope he won't burn the house down on accident or something.
Evelyn... is still Evelyn. She needs more friends. The girl's so shy, which is good when dealing with Cassi, but she doesn't speak to anyone else, really. I think the age gap between Ala and her doesn't help much. Ala's a teenager and she's constantly surrounded by little kids at home. Even when Reign comes over, Cassi is along with her, so I think Ala's tired of the little ones. She'd stay with Reign if it weren't for the fact that Cassi's terrified of Bob and still unsure about Ala.
My family is definitely unique... and probably rather insane. Sometimes I wonder how we all make it through the day...

It's been a while since I've written... so much has been going on. Cassi met a girl the other day who broke it to him that he was going to be getting a dragon. D-corp had called the other day about getting a meeting set up with his egg, so I was hoping to get to explain it to him. Unfortunately, he ran into one of the other older kids with her dragon.
Of course, the girl's dragon terrified Cassi. I guess it's because he's so small. The dragons seem so much bigger to him. Plus... he's not exactly brave anyways. I could understand him being scared of Bob, seeing how Bob's rather big. I mean, he can fly with Ala on his back... But this other one wasn't that big. Unfortunately, this dragon seemed to scare Cassi as well.
I guess we'll go visit his egg soon and hopefully he'll calm down when he sees it. I'll request we go alone since Cassi does not do well in groups... This will be... interesting...
