Not to mention, as was explained in JLA/Avengers (which is canon), the gauntlet only works in the main Marvel universe. That's why Darkseid couldn't use it.

That's funny, when Champion had the Power Gem he didn't 'negate or manipulate' any of Thanos' energy attacks.

And I can't believe you're calling ME biased.

If the characters are directly stated in the show to be omnipotent, and they demonstrate power that backs it up, you're the one being biased to say they're not omnipotent.

Except with the case of Alucard, it's obviously an exxageration, since Alucard can't do anything he wants by just thinking about it.

L - sama, the Chousein, Kamisama, etc. all can.

Anyone who thinks anime characters in general are weaker than comic characters is certainly not 'unbiased'.

Both groups each have their share of powerful characters.

I'm not even going to bother reading this whole thread because I frankly believe it would be a waste of time.

Thanos alone without the IG could waste a good 80% (or more) of anime characters in straight up combat without breaking a sweat.

Add in his vaunted preparation time and he could take out most any anime character including many of the "gods" and "cosmic" types. Dr. Doom stole the powers of the Beyonder without much problems, and Thanos is infinitly more intelligent than Doom. The man cloned Galactus (who is actually made of energy) and then actually destroyed the clone with one of his plans. Amongst his weaponry he has teleporting bombs that create black holes. He outsmarted the Elders of the Universe and stole their Infinity Gems. All of this being somewhat causallly planned.

The Infinity Gauntlet makes it's wearer omnipotent. With it, he can do anything. He defeated every single cosmic being that Marvel has in combat. He even defeated Eternity in combat. In the short time he controlled the IG, he had better control over reality than the embodiment of reality itself.

This is a brief list of what the gems can do on their own. Not even putting them together.

He can stop time. He can travel through time. He can send other people through time. He can reverse time and kill someone as a baby. He can advance time to the point where his enemy dies of old age. He aged an Elder several billion years in a couple of seconds.

He can control/erase/read minds. There is no defense against it. If you have a mind, then it basically belongs to him. Not even the combined might of Xavier, Dr. Strange, and Moondragon could combat this.

He can earse/banish/control souls. He can turn sinners into saints, and saints into blood thirsty cannibals. He can remove your soul and place into Soulworld (in the gem).

He can be anywhere in the universe at any time. The space gem allows him to send anyone else anywhere he wants as well. Be it a star or a black hole.

He can and has destroyed the universe several times over. The power gem destroyed a planet....when the user was only carrying it as a good luck charm. He didn't know it did anything and wasn't tapped into it at all. It's mere prescence gave the guy the power to do that. Thanos has full power of the gems.

He can earse you from exsistance. Physically, mentally, spiritually. He can make it so that you never exisited with a wave of the hand. No attack can hurt him since he controls all of reality and nothing happens that he does not want to happen.


NOW..... those are the gems separately. When used together their true power is unleashed. At which time Thanos is basically god.

I've read the comics, thank you very much.

However, apparently you haven't read "Adam Warlock and the Infinity Watch", which proves the power of the gauntlet is no match for the Living Tribunal.
