When he heard her, his eyes shot open as both shadowed creatures waved. "What are you doing here?!...Why can I see through you?" Shaking his head, he looked back at the feline, it desperatly clinging onto the screaming squirrels throat as boulders slammed into the giants back. The cat jumped from it just as the creature fell, scurrying away before it could fall on it. Quickly it attacked it's neck again, tearing a chunk of it's throat away. The squirel yanked back up, a gurgled roar shaking the trees just as anouther rock hit it straight in the head. The shadow mountain cat dissapeared, and raken hit the ground, his dark blue eyes only slightly open as he fought to keep the stallions orb whole. The giant beast turned to the two pae, blood running down it's chest. It started for them.

"This is my astral projection. My soul." Jazz said as she ran over to Raken. She couldn't help him as she couldn't touch in this form. However she could float him away. She tired to as she saw the beast heading for them. "Shoot. Why don't you leave us?"

Jazz thought for a moment. She wasn't the elder of her powers...no she was the elder of Entertainment. Some animals were soothed by music. It was worth a try.

Jazz began to sing the song she had learned in her quest. She sang it softly and calmly. Her defences were still up and she could use her mind shield if she needed to. Jazz was getting weak however.

Unresistingly, raken floated a few feet away as the monstrous creature came forth. It halted a single yard away from Jazz, it's ears twitching at the soft song. A huge mit of a paw came swiping down at the elder.

The paw went through Jazz as she was only her astral self. "I guess music doesn't work on you?" She said with a sad voice. She was really hoping that would work. She began to sing again anyway. Jazz floated a few more rocks towards it. As she did so she watched for Raken out of the corner of her eyes.

The beast froze after lifting it's paw up, plainly mystified about how she had done it. It blinked at her, unnoticing of the floating rocks. Well, until they slammed into it. With a roar it swipped at Jazz again, it's paw going right through. Aggrivated now, it turned to...Raken. The demonic pae and managed to grab a strong enough hold on conciousness to pull himself up into a sitting possition. Though he still had to lean against a tree, panting. He had dug both jagged blade daggers into the stallion for the first time, draining his energy to the point of passing out, and then again for the first time, he had amazingly made two shadow creatures at the same time. Raken was practically past his breaking point by now and all he could do was watch dully as the creature started towards him, clinging for dear life onto conciousness and the little black stallion ball.

((I will be camping all weekend and wont' be able to write back until Monday! biggrin ))

"Please, stop. Just go home and we will leave this place. There is no need for more bloodshead or pain." Jazz said with astral tears running down her face. She then ran and stood in front of Raken. She put up her hand to make a mind sheild. It wouldn't hold off the big thing long.

OOC: aw, kk. Have fun!

BIC: Her heartfelt words reached out to the giant as pae talked to beast in a bond no words could discribe. It pounded at the sheild. It was an animal, a thing created from Dragnid Forest. Did she actually think it would listen? The squirrel continued beating at the mind barrier mercilessly. Raken groaned lightly. "Reckless females..."

"How much energy do you have?' Jazz asked softly. She was getting weaker and weaker. Her image fading in and out. "I'm not sure how much longer I can stay with you or hold it off. I don't know what else to do." Jazz had tears running down her face. If she left him... she didn't want to think about it. Still, astral projection was her most draining power plus useing her other power with it. It wasn't going to last too much longer.

With anouther groan, he pushed against the tree to a standing position, his entire weight leaning heavily on the plant. Even leaning against it, he still started gasping for air all over again. "Energy...left? I...doubt I...can leave...tree." Letting his silver hair press against the dirty bark as he rested his head, he looked at her. "Go." He forced a tiny smile on his face. "You don't...want to...see...me die." Dieing was HIGHLY illogical if anyone asked him but he didn't see a way either. Jazz was tired, he could barely move, and there was a ten foot squirrel pounding away at the only thing between pae and beast! Wait...illogical. Maybe...just maybe... "Wait....animals are...easily afraid or...preditorial. If...you can make...a big enough noise...bigger then us...it might go..." His legs gave out on him and he slid back down to the ground. "away."

Jazz listened to him and shook her head. She wouldn't let him die. Not if there was a once of power left in her astral soul or her live soul.

Now that was an idea. "Yes, I see what you are saying. Move something farther away and loud....yes..." Jazz concentrated. It was hard but in her quest she had learned to move things without seeing them. She felt a big rock a ways behind the animal. She picked it up and slamed it at the ground a few times. Then she tosses it away farther from them.

Instantly the squirel froze, a giant mit of a paw held above the sheild. Raising it's head, slowly the creature turned. Looking at them and then back at where the noise had came from. With a mighty roar, it ran to where the rock lay. Raken watched it leave, it's tail twitching. He fought not to fall to the side. "That wont...keep it for...long." He couldn't fight his eyes anymore, letting the dark blue orbs rest. The demonic then felt a small snap where the dark ball was. The stallion had made it out of the forest and he greatfully let it dissapate. A bone-deep weariness crept into him, tempting him to fall asleep. He definatly had pushed to close to his limit.

Jazz cheered in her mind. It had left it and it was over. She then watched as Raken began to fall to sleep. "I'm going to foat you as far as I can." Her astral projection faded in and out. She floated him with her mind until she faded all the way.

Jazz woke up outside the forest. She was weak and tired. "I can't leave him." She said as her wings began to flap. She found him still where she left him. "I'm going to carry you out of here if that's okay?" she asked Raken before trying to pick him up.

He didn't exactly have much say in the matter as she floated him away and then picked the demonic pae up. Raken couldn't find it in him to even force a smile. "Sorry..." He murmered, eyes flickering as the male fought to open them. He had never been so...EMBARRASED! sweatdrop True enough, it had been his knowladge of animals from reading books and creating shadows that had saved them, but if he had just listened to jazz in the first place, they wouldn't have needed to be saved! And now he had drained so much of his energy that he couldn't even stand with the help of a tree, leaving the elder to save his sorry behind before the giant beast came back to eat him. It was illogical, unexceptable, unethical and intirely frustrating! He lost the battle of opening his eyes.

OOC: awww! Poor thing!

Raken: >>glares<<

Jazz flew him out of the forest. Then she headed for the houses of healing. "Okay, in here they will help us. I'm just glad you are okay." She laid him on a bed and then she fell to the ground. She was soo tired and weak. It was just good that she made it. "I was so worried about you." She winked at him hoping he didn't notice her weakness.

((lol))

He chocked out a bark of a laugh, unable to do anything more. "Rash females..." Raken was far to tired to notice anything beyond that he had stopped moving and was on something fluffy. Far to tired to notice that the scrapes he had received from the fall off the stallion were already becoming infected. "Rash..."
