((Hi! I'm only on the usher/flyer handout team, but I'm also RL friends with Tekishe, who is signed up to be on the special effects team. His involvement may be somewhat sporadic until the 1st of June or so, since he's waiting to get Internet hooked up in his new apartment. I think he's going to visit me tomorrow, so I'll try to get him to hop on and make some special effects type suggestions on this thread. Otherwise, if it would be permitted, I can relay things he'd like to say to you guys until he is more Net-accessible. Just let me know, 'kay?))

Make-up/Costume Design Team Rivera: That's a very good idea. I will sketch Mrs. Potts' costume... If I remember correctly, Mrs. Potts is ... Kaia? Here is a copy of her I.D. I think I have a good plan to make it look elegant, but still fitting... And seeing Mrs. Potts and Chip are a set,I will do that too. Then should I draw for Liuz or should you?

Actor: Keila: How am I supposed to look like an old woman? Is there any makeup or something that can make lots of wrinkles just suddenly appear? Oh, and how'm I going to change hair colors between white and brown again when I go back as Chip? That hair spray color stuff is sticky...

Make-up/Costume Design Team Rivera: The concept of wrinkles is quite simple. Either liquid latex can be used to shape wrinkles or a simple illusion spell can be done. It washes off easily and wrinkles are easily applied with corse detail chisel brushes. To change the hair, there is always an old woman's wig that can be taken off easily and quickly.

Special Effects
For the fight scene:
Ri-Ri: H'okays. So. The easiest thing to do is: shadow. Sounds really lame, but picture it. We get a cutout of cardboard that looks like the side of the mansion's outside they're fighting on, a reeeeeally thin screen in front of the whole stage with reeeeally dark blue lights shining outward toward the audiance. When the actors stand on platforms behind the cardboard cutout, the lights and screen will make it so it looks like it's dark, all is in shadow, the actor's sillouettes are easily defined and no real complications can be involved when Gaston falls off the edge because he can just fall on the platform. They can have metal swords and someone will be banging thin peices of metal together off-stage to get the sound of swords.
For lightening...ehhhh... Oh! If we have an electricity conductor...or better yet! Use a fog machine and aim it at the very top of the stage, using a water manipulator to keep teh mositured fog in cloud-like forms, and flash random white lights behind them. And there you have your in-the-distance thunder. xD

Riyoku Sakimori Make-up/Costume Design Team Rivera: That's a very good idea. Yes, that's me. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Makie :: KYAAAAA!!!!! I love Riyoku's design for Joy's costume!!!! It's soo cute!!! And.. Yeahh... Will we have music? I love the songs!! XDDDD The play was amazing! And the actors were so good! BUT GOD! It was easy to see that they took the head off the Beast... Or that might be just me, not looking at the fire works that were lit off as destractions.. But yeah.. Are we gonna sing? We should!!! I put in a vote for singing! And I vote we have some choeregraphed dance scenes! MAN! LIKE! WHEN LUMIERE, COGSWORTH, MRS. POTTS, AND CHIP COME OUT THERE SHOULD BE A BIG DANCE NUMBER! And Dance numbers for Gaston and Lefou and the Bimbettes!! And obviously, there should be dance scenes for Belle (Beau?) and The Beast! I could help choerograph! Okie... Keeping my mouth shut... But still- I think this play should be a Triple Threat! Acting, singing AND dancing! That's my input.

I go with Makie. I vote for a nig dance number. Especially Be our guest or the slow dance song when Bell and Beast dance.

So I have to be an old, balding, fat man hm? Quite the challenge I must say and yet I have the overwhelming desire to question your judgement in this, my beloved directors. I mean look at me, for one I am a woman and definitely not short and fat, nevertheless balding! We will... alter... this character now, I have no choice. Do you not agree? Heh, you leaders and your senses of humor. So, from here on out Maurice will be Marcia, the beneficient widow... Gah you people really have it in for me. Rem where are you? Right here! Ok now peoples I'm gonna need a little help on wardrobe! As you can probably see what I've got really isn't befitting of a mother! Quite frankly Scytheress dresses like a whore so lets get me changed up! I can still work with the humble merchant persona though, and I can even make all my own ware props! Though some of you other guys have that job don't you? Need any help? I'm great with stone and wood!

Make-up/Costume Design Rivera: Tomoro-sempai, do you want to do Ai's Lumiere costume? Because I got this really good idea for it right now... If you have a good idea, go ahead and draw it too. We can let Ai-sama decide which style she would prefer. sweatdrop I'm obsessed with having elegant-fantasia thingys ^^
