My favorite Halloween costume? I have a degree in Theatre Arts and took two semesters of stage makeup classes.
One year I dressed up as a werewolf--I let my hair grow out for two months prior to Halloween, let my beard grow long, then spent four hours applying crepe hair and liquid latex to simulate fur on my face and neck, brushing the fake fur into my own hair so you couldn't see where my own natural hair ended and the fur began.
(it took me a while to find the right blend of crepe hair shades to simulate my own hair color)
Along with the crepe hair and liquid latex I used a store-bought werewolf nose and pointed ears combined with latex and cotton appliances to build up my forehead and cheekbones to create the illusion of a snout and narrow skull like a wolf. As a final surreal touch, I dressed up in an old three-piece suit complete with shirt and tie, then wore my glasses over the werewolf makeup, giving me the look of a conservative lycanthrope.
(after all, I live in Orange County, California)
You should've seen the looks on the faces of the folks driving past me as I went to the party!
Unfortunately, the pictures taken of me at the party were ruined by the photo lab, so no one got to see the costume. Bummer! domokun

One year, I originally went as a dark angel sort of thing, but my friends thought it'd be fun if they put makeup and stuff on my face to make me look like my face was, like, sliced up or something. We called the new costume idea "Butchered faerie", which isn't too creative, but, hell, it got me a shitload of candy.
Scared many, many, many little kids that year. That was back in sixth grade, a little over two years ago, and I can't wait to be that demonic half-dead angel thing again! xd

Lets see, my favorite costume I have ever worn would have to be a dark burgandy dress, renassance styled, with a mauve under shirt. I was a Vampiress. Yes I am really a girl, if you were wondering......

whee i dressed as Sango from Inu yasha last halloween thinking as going as someone else there year..i dont care if i'm a Senior in Highschool <.<; its free candy..and its fun! so..there lol

Sanji_Fan whee i dressed as Sango from Inu yasha last halloween thinking as going as someone else there year..i dont care if i'm a Senior in Highschool <.<; its free candy..and its fun! so..there lol Awesome. Got any pics of your costume?

I went as a dark faerie to school one day. During the week of Halloween, which I believe should be observed all week long. It pissed everybody off, cause I had like a four foot wingspan, walking through the hallways and I was smacking everybody with them. Like hell was I going to tell them they folded up. whee
