Durem, FF:CoG Guild Festival; June 2006 Fun With Icing Page 1819MoochiLove Naruto can be found a small clearing close the shop, orange jacket off, but black shirt still on. A look of concentration is on his face, staring hard at a tree that have a few kunai embedded into the wood, another kunai in his hand. His tail barely flicks about, his body in a stance. Aiden felt odd ridding behind Rikku on the machina that hovered. Their new brother was aclimating himself to their lifestyle well so would not be joining them today. Relm was busy, something about reproducing some art or something. Trel had asked that he keep an eye out on Rikku since they would both be going to the shop. Her smiling wink had caught him off-guard, but the highlander had little time to think about it as the hyper Al Bhed had agreed & dragged him onto her cycle. The speeding machina stopped with a jolt. "Ruto!" Rikku exclaimed happily, her heart fluttering at the sight in the clearing. Behind her Aiden made a little sound to remind his sister that he was there. Then he gave a friendly wave of greeting to his sister's 'best friend'. "Well met, Naruto lad."MoochiLove Getting ready to throw the kunai at the tree, he is startled by the loud, familiar voice and he throws it off course, hitting the target too high and he curses himself for losing focus like that. Turning to see who disturbed, ready to yell at them for making his aim go off during his training, his mood suddenly lifts when he sees it is Rikku with Aiden on the hover cycle, "Rikku!! Aiden!!!"
Quickly forgetting his training, he rushes over to them both, tail wagging happily. Knowing that his sister will be throwing herself at the ninja any moment, Aiden hops off the cycle first. He flutters his wings a bit as he lands and his feet lightly touch the grass. Giddy, Rikku swings her far leg over the cycle & hops down to make happy dash into Naruto's arms. "Did I mess you up? I'm sorry!"Aiden bows at the greeting. "I dinnae wish te be rude, bu' I'd like te see if Lainey's a' th' shop." He smiled wistfully. "Dinnae forget, Rikku-lass... dinnae stay out any later than last time.""Sure, Aiden!""Nice seeing ye agin, Naruto-lad. Take care o' th' lass for me." With a wave he fluttered his wings & took off, disappearing into the shop. MoochiLove Naruto smiles happily as he wraps his arms around Rikku and does their traditional spin around. When he sets her on her feet, he looks to Aiden and nods, "Sure thing!!" he says, waving as Aiden flies off. He then turns back to Rikku and smile, giving her nose a cute kiss.
A sliver of firework pattern. He opened his eyes, smiling at Lainey's back. Waiting for her to set the cakes down he quietly watched her from the doorway. When it seemed safe that his intrusion would not likely cause harm to his paramour or the cakes he finally spoke. "Mmm... Lainey-love? Have ye been baking? Th' smell is delightful."RavenFyre She didn't jump this time at being surprised as she set down the backing sheet holding the cake pans over the stove so as to not burn the countertop, Lainey gave herself credit for that. With a smile he turned and faced the owner of the voice she knew so well. She nodded with just a hint of a blush, remembering her earlier musings, "I... I like to practice cooking and baking sometimes. I think I'm pretty decent at it, actually!" She praised herself since not even the rims of the cakes seemed burnt. Setting aside the oven mits she rushed towards her beau and enveloped him in a hug, kissing his cheek, "I was getting lonely without you! The shop is so all alone..." She pouted. RavenFyre She smiled against his lips as he kissed her, settling contently in his arms. It always amazed her just how natural that felt. "You have a new brother?" She wondered if he meant an audio or some other being in his large family. She gazed deeply into hose amber yellow eyes , a smile twinkling in her violet ones, "It is fun. I tried cooking with Haze once. We didn't manage to cook anything, and the kitchen was a large mess at the end of it, but we had so much fun! Though, it really ended up being more of a food fight than actually cooking," she added the last part thoughtfully, then shrugged her shoulders. "Would you like to help my frost this cake?" RavenFyre Even after he let her go, Lainey took hold of Aiden's hand like she needed soem contact between them. She laughed, "Your family seems to be blessed when an abundance of energy, doesn't it?" She slipped on the oven mits again and carefully extracted the first cake from it's pan, onto a waiting plate, warm steam rising up off the hot bread, emitting it's sweet aroma. Grabbing the bowl of icing that she had made, she got two butterknives and handing one to Aiden, "I have lots of icing, so don't be afraid to spread it a little thick." (continued) Page

Aiden floated through the door to the house in a happy fog. It was midafternoon, and most of those at home were sound asleep in their 2 o'clock naps.
Except for Myranda.
The GaiaCom eyed him knowingly. "My my my. You certainly look refreshed Aiden." Myranda chuckled softly, leaning against the entrance to the hallway, her arms crossed in front of her.
"Ye could say tha', Myranda lass. Ye could say tha'." The gentle highlander was in too good of spirits to let the witch dampen his mood.
"And is she likewise refreshed?" The witch asked coyly with a sly smile watching the audio blush furiously.
"Aye lass, though it be none o' yer business. I saw te tha', ye can be sure."
"Well, it's about time."
Shaking his head Aiden went to the kitchen. "I dinnae understand ye in th' least lass. Not in th' least."
"Nor will you." The GaiaCom murmured with a sly smile as the tartan tail disappeared. "Nor will you."

In the Gardens Page 1934 ((warning!!! This is the RP Where Raven & I got a little carried away & warned! Just so you know before reading every post!)) RavenFyre Lainey felt like she was walking on clouds as she headed towards the shop, stopping at the gardens outside to take in the scenery. Since that day with Aiden up in his hammock she had been feeling like this, still not remembering that she had forgotten all about the cake, though it was probably gone by now. She didn't think she could feel happier if she tried, though she had been blushing for hours after she had bid farewell to Aiden that day. Even now she would think of it and start blushing for no apparent reason to those who were looking at her. Like right now for instance.
Fluttering over the gardens the highlander thought he spotted a familiar print & his pulse quickened. He quickly lowered. "Lainey-lass?"RavenFyre Lainey looked up when she heard the voice she now knew by heart, shielding her eyes fron the sun. She beamed when she saw him, her face coloring a warm, pink color. "Aiden!!" she waved him down. RavenFyre Lainey gladly went into his arms, snuggling close to him, always feeling safe against the warmth of his body. "I've missed you, too Aiden! So much! I'm sorry I haven't been around. I've been busy at home lately," she smiled sheepishly. But she knew Aiden would understand, seeing that he was from a large family as well.
There was a darker tone to his voice when he spoke the GaiaCom's name, as he was not happy with her. "Bu' we are together now an' tha' is all tha' matters." Gratefully he brushed his lips upon her brow as he held her tight.RavenFyre "A new project?" The firework girl asked with curious interest, though she was more curious about the dark tone his voice took when he mentioned a girl named Myranda. She wanted to ask about that, but thought better of it. Obviously the scottish boy was upset with that girl and she didn't want to upset him further by asking why. She smiled with a nod, blushing at the soft kiss. "We are. And today we're going to do something that you want to do!" she decided resolutely. (( continued)) He chuckled softly as a devilishly ungentlemanly thought came to his head. "What I want te do shall have te wait fer th' other thing I want te do."
He winked & kissed her lips ever so lightly, not daring more. Reaching to a small pack on his back he pulled out an ipod. "Ready te learn te dance, my bonnie lass?"RavenFyre It took a moment for Lainey to realize just what Aiden was talking about, then she blushed darkly. "Aiden!" She giggled, "I think your naughty side is becoming bolder!" She leaned forward and whispered against his ear, "I like it." She kissed him back, pouting a bit that it was kept so light, looking up at him in a slight confusion when he pulled out an ipod. "Huh..?" It took her a few moments to realize just what he was talking about, "O-oh!" she blushed pink, nodding quickly, "Y-yes!" Rainberries Chuckling, Aiden set the ipod down. It was not a true ipod... but something Rikku had fiddled with that would do for what he had in mind. "Ye bring out tha' side o' me wit' yer presense, Lainey-love. T'is an effort te keep in check. Bu' I wish te dance wi' ye, an in a way I ken better than what we did before."
Pressing a button a jig began. Aiden smiled shyly at her, holding out a hand. "An' now... be ye ready lass? Try to follow my lead." RavenFyre Lainey blushed darker, staring at her feet intently for a moment before she could look at him again, "I... I know how you feel..." She smiled as the music started and took his hand, "I'll try my best!" Rainberries "I'll try te start easy wit' ye. I dinnae ken if I am a good teacher or nae. But we'll start wit' th' padobaugh (sp). T'is relativley simple an' is used in most o' th' dances." He lifted one foot, set it before the other, & hopped from one foot to the other. Then switched feet & repeated.((bah. If I suck, it's cause I have no idea how to describe this, even with getting up & doing the moves! wink )) RavenFyre "A-ah!" Lainey just stared at Aiden's movements at first, then started to laugh as she tried to follow his lead, though she was a bit clumsy and managed to step on the scottish audio's foot. "O-oh! I'm sorry!" Rainberries He could not help but wince the tiniest bit when she trod upon his foot, but smiled warmly afterward. "Tis alright love. Here step back." He moved his hands to hold hers, opening the space between them. "Tis nae a close dance step, or rather it often is nae. Watch agin." He repeated the move slowly this time saying words with each step. "Step, hop, hop. Step, hop, hop." RavenFyre She still couldn't help but look sheepish even if he said it was alright, but she nodded silently, trying her best not to giggle as he repeated the step so slowly. "Step, hop, hop. Step, hop, hop," she repeated under her breath as she tried her best to copy the move, however awkwardly. Rainberries The highlander nodded, a pleased smile touching his lips. "Aye, tha's th' way Love. Ye cannae expect te learn too much right away. We'll do this, til ye be comfortable a' this speed with it. then sped it up."
It was a good thing Aiden was patient. He wanted to swing her around in the Gay Gordon, as Trelweny had spoke of Timex & her dancing with such joy. Sad joy, to be sure, but joy strong enough to engrave it upon Aiden's soul. He learned with Trelweny, but to be able to dance it with Lainey...
He sighed happily just thinking about it. RavenFyre Poor Lainey was still blushing darkly, even with Aiden's encouraging words, feeling foolish at her lack of dancing skills. Sometimes she felt like she had two left feet when it came to learning new dances. It took her a while, but she got the step down, at least at a slower speed anyways. "I... I think we can speed it up a little now..." she mumbled softly. Rainberries "As ye wish." With fluid grace the fae highlander picked up the tempo slightly, lightly calling the steps under his breath for Lainey's benefit. "Yer doing well love. Let me know if yer legs feel tired. I ken it works different muscles tha' walking. I dinnae wish ye te be sore in th' morning."
Aiden gave her a light smile, his golden eyes twinkling with inner light. "Though I promise te massage her bony legs fer ye if ye should." RavenFyre The step was getting easier for Lainey now, though she still knew they weren't going as fast as the step was really supposed to be. She was glad that Aiden was counting the steps under his breath, the gratefullness clear in her eyes when she glanced up at him. She shook her head, "I feel fine right now, don't worry," though she knew she probably would feel sore the next day. She laughed, raising an eyebrow at him in amusement, "Bony?" Rainberries ((dang... Raven caught the typo before I edited it. grrr... wink )) Aiden blushed furiously. "I... I must be focusing on th' dance, nae my words, Lainey. I meant te say 'bonnie' nae 'bony'..."
He giggled. "Yer certainly nae bony anywhere, as I happily recall."RavenFyre Lainey couldn't help but laugh softly, leaning up to kiss his cheek, "I know what you meant." She blushed furiously at the mention of him recalling something about her body, ducking her head, "I... I suppose so..." RavenFyre Without stopping the dancing of his feet Aiden caught her ducked chin with firm & gentle hand, tilting her face to his. "I ken so... an I wouldnae wish i' any other way."
He paused in his dancing to close the distance between them & kiss Lainey soundly. The highlander might not be dancing, but the pull of it kept a pulse in his body & Aiden drew her to him with a deft arm sliding around her waist. RavenFyre Lainey didn't fight the hold on his chin, looking up at him with shy, amethyst eyes, gasping in surprise when she suddenly felt the warmth of his body pressed against her own, his lips over hers and then all coherent thought fled from her mind as she all but melted into his hold, kissing him back happily, a soft purr starting up in his throat. Rainberries Aiden ran his hand lightly up her back before forcing himself to withdraw from the kiss. He smiled & touched Lainey's cheek gently, waiting for her violet-amythist eyes to open. "An' tha's why I darenae touch ye too much if I wish ye te learn th' dance."
He chuckled lightly, still feeling his pulse race for reasons other than mere dancing. "Ye have tha' effect on me, Lainey m'love." RavenFyre She couldn't stop the soft, barely audible moan that escaped her parted lips when Aiden pulled away, her eyes staying closed a few moments longer to savor the feel of it, her eyes dark when they finally looked at him. "Aiden..." She smiled softly, sweetly at first, then pressed forward to capture his lips this time, throwing her arms around his neck. Rainberries He nearly forgot any music but that singing in his body & playing in his headphones as Lainey's lips overwhelmed him. His golden eyes closed as he let his arms slide down her back, hands coming to rest on oposite hips around her. Since this was part of the other he had also wanted to do, Aiden was not about to disuade his lady if it was what she wanted as well.
Dance lessons could wait. He pressed her closer to him, purring deep & gentle. RavenFyre (Hee! I love how they're always so all over each other, when they're usually the prim and proper ones! XD!) Lainey gasped softly when Aiden pulled her closer, feeling her body start to warm over as it remembered the last time she was pressed this close to the scottish boy. Her hands slid down from his neck down his shoulder and along his back, smoothing up and down along his shoulder blades, "mmnh..."Rainberries ((*giggles* I know! *disolves in laughter* I figure Aiden's a bit... um... bottled up after all this time you could say. wink )) His wings fluttered involuntarily against her hands as Lainey moved them across his shoulder blades. Aiden shuddered happily, carefully putting more passion into the kiss & gently sucking on her bottom lip. A little growl of happiness sounded from the back of his throat. He did not move his hands, other than to lightly flick his thumbs up & down on her hip bones.RavenFyre (X3!! Poor Aiden!) She couldn't help but giggle lightly against his lips as she felt his wings twitch, smoothing slim fingers over them lightly in teasing carresses. She felt a shiver run down her spine when he growled, a responding, submissive mewl, lips parting invitingly under his. "A-aiden..."Rainberries Aiden never had been one for a lot of talking. Not that he did not love talking with Lainey, but he always felt out of place in conversations. His body trembled as she touched his wings, making him feel both helpless & hot all at once. The parting of her lips & the feel of his name from them within their kiss caused a surge of sensations to resound throughout his body. Aiden eagerly accepted her invitation, thrusting his tongue hungrily between Lainey's parted lips to seek out the recesses of her mouth. Finding her tail with his he wrapped them together & his purr intensified. RavenFyre She moaned passionately, the sound muffled between their sealed lips. The wet muscle of her own tongue met with the boy's, warring the two muscles together to increase the heat between them. A shiver ran up her spine when her tail twined with the winged male's. Lainey started to tip and slip back to the floor, bringing Aiden down with her, feeling that she'd melt on the spot if they kept standing. Her hands moving lower down his back, she teased his fingers over the base of his tail, somewhere in the back of her mind grateful that the shrubbery of the garden was conviniently keeping them from view. Rainberries ((Sorry Lil! *hides herself in box* for the sake of ending the RP I'll paraphrase Anne McCaffery smile ) Then Aiden proceeded to make it very satisfying for both of them.((and end! *sheepish*))

Lots of Friends! Page 1979The white ninau shook his blue hued mane with inner amusement & received a consolatory pat on the rump from the plaid audio who sat on his back. He turned his head to catch Aiden's eye around the bouncy cyan colored yoshi audio that leaned against his neck & would not stop talking. "Oh yes! Wow! going to the shop again! How cool is that? & you'll show me around, right Aiden? Oh this will be great!!"Seeing the shop Yahto jumped off & ran ahead. Timex finally whinnied softly for Aiden's ears alone. [Friend... do you think he can find his own way home?] The highlander laughed, patting the ninau's neck as he dismounted softly. "Even if I have te follow him all th' way. Thank ye, Timex." With a wave of farewell Aiden followed his speedy & bouncy sibling inside. RavenFyre It was only a coincidence that Lainey was leading the small back of her siblings to the shop at around the same time as Aiden, Cain's headphones once again draped around her neck. She led the female audio in a frilly pink dress, with long pale blonde hair by the hand, worried about her. She was such a strange girl. She didn't seem to know how to speak except for her name, and she didn't have a single clue about proper behavior. Rave had told her that Chii wasn't really an audio, but a persocom designed to look like an audio, which would also explain her lack of headphones. Her song played in that strange pair of second ears... Or so Lainey assumed. "Chii, are you alright?" she asked, and not for the first time.The pale blonde persocom tilted her head curiously, then smiled, "Chii!"Lainey sighed softly, well she seemed happy anyways. She was also a bit concerned about her new brother, though for entirely different reasons. Despite the fact that he was an adult he appeared to be a child, about the same size as Haze. But that wasn't her concern. He seemed to keep to himself, and he had a strict, no nonesense air about him. The lynx audio was actually trying to make conversation with the bleach blonde... to no avail.Haze growled as once again his questions were answered with simple, one-worded responses, snorting softly once they reached the shop, "Fine. I don't want to talk to you anyways!" the lynx audio looked away angrily and padded away.Hitsugaya raised an eyebrow as his 'brother' stormed off, surprised by his angry reaction. He shrugged a bit, then looked around. "What are we doing here, again?"Lainey smiled sheepishly, she was used to Haze's short temper, "We're here so you and Chii can get to meet more audios, and make friends.""Chii!" The persocom squeaked cheerfully.Hitsugaya sighed. What he would do to just get back to Seireitei and finish his paperwork. Inside the shop Yahto was bouncing around, pointing things out to Aiden who would softly answer each question as it was posed. Flopping onto a couch with his back to the door the fae-winged audio leaned his head back to gaze in the vicinity of his hammock with longing. If only Lainey were here, this would not seem quite so tedious. He flushed, remembering their last meeting. He had decided afterwards that should he really want to teach his lady-love to dance they would have to set up a class. Mind wandering Aiden realized that the same would likely be true about the sword lessons she seemed interested in. Meanwhile, Yahto was still zipping from one end of the room to the other in boundless energy. "Say, Aiden... where is everyone? When I came with Relm there were others here & it was fun!!""I dinnae ken, laddie. Sometimes t'is like tha'."Summer Rain 07 Ukitake walked into the room, and his eyes widdened as he saw the white haired audio. A smile appeared on his face and he walked up behind him, and slung a hand over his shoulder. "Well well well...What's a busy guy like you doing down here?" Grey Dragon Kaleb quietly poked his nose into the room, clutching his book tightly as he glanced at all the unfamiliar audio he saw. Still, he needed to get to the other side of the room if he was to get a glass of water in the kitchen, and nothing good could come of lurking around in the doorway. He took another nervous and hesitant step in, trying to gather up some courage and composure just in case one of them happened to talk to him. RavenFyre It didn't take Lainey long to spot her beau, smiling brightly. She forgot about showing her siblings around, though she didn't let go of Chii's hand, dragging the poor, confused girl along with her. "Aiden!" She was about to pounce on him, then stopped with a surprisingly strong weight kept her back, looking over her shoulder at the confused blonde. She smiled sheepishly, "Aiden, this is my sister, Chii... She's just arrived a few days ago."Chii looked at Aiden strangely, "Chii...?""Ah.." Hitsugaya tensed for a moment, his hand twitching towards where he usually kept Hyourinmaru on his person, mentally curing when he remembered that Lainey had insisted that he leave it behind. He only relaxed when he recognized Ukitake's voice. And here he thought it would be annoying to have to meet a whole bunch of new people. At least he knew Ukitake. Still, he felt a little off at the older shinigami's casual air, carefully turning so that he wouldn't have his arm around him anymore. "I could as you the same thing. I suppose you can say I've been reassigned." Summer Rain 07 He looked down to Hitsugaya quizicaly. "Reassigned?" he asked, blinking a few times. "But what about Matsumoto-chan?" He asked, looking down to the young audio. His whole demeter changed from that which he normally showed. The highlander turned at the sound of his name spoken by a beautifully familiar voice. "Lainey-lass!" With the use of his wings Aiden slow motion vaulted over the arm of the sofa to land softly before her, taking Lainey's hand & kissing it before kissing her cheek tenderly as well. "An' this lovely lass yer new sister? T'is a pleasure te meet ye, Chii-lass."Taking the girl's hand too he very lightly placed a plutonic kiss upon the back before standing & smiling wanly at his beloved. "Seems today is a day fer siblings, Lainey-love. Ye see..."But he did not get to finish as Yahto came running up to them at top speed. "Weee--oo! Aiden! This is great! So many here now! I've gotta meet them all!"Shaking Lainey's hand he smiled brightly. "Hi! Hi! I'm Yahto! I heard Aiden call you Lainey? You're his 'bonnie lass' then, right? Great to met you at last!" Then he spun on Chii grasping the hand Aiden had just released. "Chii was it? Aren't you a pretty one! Quite a hard grip you've got too! We're going to have fun, right?"Spotting someone trying to sneak to the kitchen the yoshi bounced. "Hold on! I'll be right back!" With a zoom & a blur to his lavender boots, Yahto sped to a stop before Kaleb. "Hi! I wanna meet everyone here! I'm Yahto!" Cheerfully he thrust his hand into the scholar's. "Ach..."Grey Dragon Kaleb's eyes widened when all of a sudden there was a bright blue audio blocking his route to the kitchen and shaking his hand. He yelped loudly in fright and immediately blushed at the outburst, but it was impossible to jump backwards with his free hand caught in a handshake. The only thing Kaleb could think to do was stutter a bit. "I-I'm Kaleb, p-pleased to meet you." RavenFyre Hitsugaya shrugged, "It's the closest thing I have to explaining me situation." He scrunched his nose in distaste at the mere mention of Matsumoto, "She can take care of herself fine while I'm gone, I'm sure." He was constantly aggravated with the girl, but in truth he did care about her, in a way that someone cared about their loud, overbearing, drunken sister. If Ukitake was acting differently, Hitsugaya didn't notice it, or at least didn't mention it. "So why are you here?" He had thought that the older white-haired shinigami's sickness had been the cause of his absence in Seireitei. It wouldn't be the first time after all.Lainey blushed a warm pink at the kiss, nodding, "This is Chii."Chii watched Aiden curiously, "Chii..." she took his lead and grabbed his free hand with her own, mimicking his moves by bringing it to her lips in a light little kiss, "Chii~""Ah.." the firework girl laughed, "I'm sorry about Chii... She's a little different, but I'm sure she'll get the hang of things!" She was about to ask what he meant about a day for siblings, when suddenly the questioned was answered for her in the form of a hyperactive yoshi audio. She didn't have time to do more than stare at Yahto in shock as he talked a mile a minute, "Ah... umm..."Chii stared at Yahto with wide brown eyes, copying his movements and shaking his hand just as quickly, "Chii!" she answered him with a smile.She couldn't help but laugh once he took off, smiling at Aiden in amusement, "Is he your brother?" Aiden certainly had not expected the pretty android to kiss his hand in return. It kept him quiet through Yahto's overwhelming introduction at any rate. "Aye, tha' be my new brother, tha' one I mentioned te ye before."
"But ye... when did ye get new siblings?" Taking her hand he led them around the sofa where they could all sit comfortably. By the kitchen Yahto was grinning like a loon. "Kaleb? You've met my sisters then! Relm & Rikku! They've spoken about you! I can't believe I didn't recognize you from Relm's painting! Spitting image!"He paused tilting his head. "Were you getting something to eat? I can help! I'm good fetching & carrying! & I can take you to Aiden! He's my brother, over there with Chii & his Lainey. I heard Relm say something about Aiden being more your conversational level, whatever that means. So, will you come?"RavenFyre Lainey giggled as she sat herself down on the couch, "He's adorable! Very energetic! How do you keep up with him?" She teased, "I would have been worn out by now!" She casually sat with one leg crossed over the other.Chii, watching her sister, sat down in much the same way next to her, crossing one leg over the other, "Chii."The firework girl hummed, "A few days ago, really. They're very different from what I'm used to, though Hitsugaya wears a similar outfit that Ukitake does. I wonder if they're from the same place. Chii... Well Chii is a persocom, that's how they explained it to me. But we think she might be broken. All she can say is her name," she sighed sadly. Grey Dragon Kaleb blinked, trying to organise and sort out Yahto's rapid speech. It was a good thing he was pretty quick to remember things, or he would have been flustered beyond all belief.
"Th-they talked about me? A-and a painting?" He asked in a confused tone as he nervously adjusted his glasses. "I-I was going to get a glass of water, b-but I think I'm fine. I-I don't really know anyone over there, but I'll come if you want..."
"A persocom? I ken that's much like our GaiaCom, Myranda. An android aye? I've nae heard o' them breaking before." Aiden glanced at Chii, recalling how she had repeated his actions & pairing that with her now repeating Lainey's actions. "She copies a fair sight better than Theron can. Perhaps she is programmed like a wee bairn?"Yahto beamed. Then he zipped into the kitchen & back out in a flash, offering a large lidded cup to the scholar. "There you go! No sense doing without!" He grinned & lightly nudged Kaleb to the sofas. "Of course they talked! You can't keep them from talking! Well, you can. If you get them into what they're good at. Like Relm painting. I swear everyone she's ever met must have a likeness in her studio somewhere. Even some she hasn't, like our human mom's dead mate. It's unreal. But super terrific."
He chatted happily as he led the other male at Kaleb's pace. Nearing the group he waved jovially. "Hey guys! This is Kaleb!" He clouted Aiden on the shoulder. "The Kaleb our sisters mention, you know?"Grey Dragon Kaleb hardly had a chance to nervously adjust his glasses again before the other had handed him a glass of water and given him an entirely new set of sentances to respond to. "Th-thank you," he managed to stutter, before finding himself being introduced to the entire large group. At that point he immediately forgot anything else he was going to say to Yahto, and blushed brightly as he took a nervous half-step backwards. RavenFyre Lainey nodded, "That's what Rave called her. He said he found her in the trash and decided to take her in and take care of her." Her brows furrowed in confusion, glancing at Chii again who just looked back just as curiously, then back to Aiden, "What is a wee bairn?" She blinked, then waved when Yahto arrived with someone new, smiling warmly and waving, "Hello. I'm Lainey, and this is my sister, Chii." she motioned to the persocom.Chii waved just like Lainey. "Chii!" she chirped quite happily. Thinking of how he would like to have young ones of his own with Lainey he blushed, ducking his head to kiss her lightly on the cheek. "Tis hard 'te believe anyone would toss someone like Chii out wi' the trash, bu' their loss is yer family's gain aye?"He tried not to roll his eyes at his brother, instead smiling kindly on the shy male Yahto had dragged along with him. "Tis a pleasure te make yer acquaintance, Kaleb-lad. Our sisters have naught but kind things te say of ye. Tha' bit o' magic ye did in helping yer friend Keme fer th' most part.""Booyaka! Everyone's together!" Feeling satisfied with himself Yahto bounced in front of Chii, wondering at her copying everything. Dark eyes dancing he touched his finger to his nose. "Can you do this?"Grey Dragon "P-pleased to meet you," Kaleb said in a nervous reply to Lainey and Chii, the smiles from the group reassuring him enough to make a weak and lopsided smile of his own.
When Aiden addressed him, he glanced down at his fidgeting paws and blushed even brighter, if it were possible. "I-It was Relm who did the most, I just kind of followed up on her magic..." RavenFyre "Oh... O-oh!" Lainey blushed as similar thoughts came to mind, purring softly at the kiss to his cheek. She nodded sadly, "I can't believe anyone would be so cruel! But she's with us now, we'll take care of her." Chii gave Yahto a curious look, then smiled as he talked to her, though she didn't quite know what he was saying. She copied him, touching a finger to her nose, looking quite proud of herself, "Chii~!"
To the mage he smiled again. "Aye... they dinnae leave out Relm's wall, butthe lass admitted tha' she had narry a care o' the occupants o' th' car bu' tha' ye did. Tha' says a lot o' ye character lad. I'm proud te meet ye."Yahto was enthralled with his new playmate & their game. "OH!! You did it! Very good! Let's try this one!" Immediately the cyan yoshi patted his head & rubbed his belly.RavenFyre Lainey blushed, ducking her head shyly, "T-thanks, Aiden... T-that means alot to me coming from you."Chii stopped touching her nose when Yahto did, tilting her head to the side to watch him a moment, then copied, rubbing her tummy and patting her head, "CHII~!"
Scratching his head, Yahto tried to think of something else to do. "Oh! I know!" Putting his thumbs in front of his ears he waggled his fingers at her, sticking his tongue out & making his eyes move all silly-like.RavenFyre "Chii~!" The persocom chirped happily at Yahto's excited tone. She scratched her head just like the aqua colored yoshi audio as he thought, mimicking even his facial expression, "Chii..." She blinked, then copyed him once again, looking just like a mirror image... If your mirror image just happened to be a small, female audio in a frilly pink dress, with long pale blonde hair.
Sitting down across from her the cyan hued yoshi tilted his head first one direction, then the other. Then he crinkled his nose & tugged on his ears.RavenFyre "CHII~!" The persocom squealed happily, placing her hands on her own hips. Seeing that she was already sitting she just adjusted her gaze down at him, tilting her head from side to side to mimick him, "Chii?" She crinkled her nose and lifted her hands up to tug at her ears, brushing against one of her persocom ears so that it clicked open, though her hair kept what was inside hidden from view. She didn't seem to think anything wrong to have one of her ears open, leaving it as it was. RavenFyre "Chii..?" the persocom looked curious when Yahto leaned forward, not moving for once as she let him study her. Inside her second pair of 'ears' were ports, hubs, and cables you would expect to find in the back of a computer, as well as a what appeared to be a small speaker, silent, but a cable strung out of it, mixing in with the other wires and seemingly disappearing
Leaning back on his heals he set his paws on his thighs. "Now... what should we do next?" The most fun things needed her to stand, but since she had been sitting the whole time Yahto was not about to drag her to her feet. He had some sense of decorum. Forced upon him by Aiden, no doubt, & reinforced by Trelweny but it was there. So instead of getting her up to run through the motions of "Head, Shoulders, Knees, & Toes" Yahto remained seated as well, touching each part in turn & smiling with happiness. Playmates were fun!Grey Dragon Kaleb's modest gaze encompassed little more than the floor by his feet, but Aiden's smile encouraged him when he was able to glance up. "I-I've been trained to work quickly in emergency situations..." he muttered by way of explanation, unused to the praise and unsure of how to react to it.
He felt a little uncomfortable standing there with his book in cradled by one arm and glass of water in the other hand, so he sat down in a large armchair next to the couch.
The gentle highlander nodded at the mage's modesty. He understood shyness, even though his was slowly diminishing. But then he had not been shy so much as reserved & soft-spoken. It was not quite the same thing. "Than it seems te' me yer training paid off. Fer tha' be why we train an' practice a skill, aye? So tha' when th' time comes t'is needed we dinnae have te think afore using it... we ken."
His arm tightened reflexively around Lainey. Of course, there were some things that instincts seemed to cover quite well. Aiden smiled at the thought.Grey Dragon Kaleb smiled lopsidedly, that was exactly why he worked so hard. "I-I guess it did," he replied, "I'm glad for it." He chewed on his lower lip a bit, remembering that evening and how terrified he had been at the time. If he couldn't be brave in such a situation, perhaps it was enough that he could trust his training to kick in. RavenFyre "Chii?" The persocom's eyes crossed slightly at the tap to her nose, shaking her head a little to adjust them again, then tilted her head t the side with a curious look to Yahto. She smiled and followed him through the motions of "Heads, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes." She was glad someone was showing her these things, most people looked unnerved when she tried to learn things from them. "Chii~!"Lainey sighed softly, contently, leanding against Aiden so that her head rested lightly on his shoulder. She listened at the two of them talked, her curiosity getting the better of her, "What were you trained to do..?" She had never met Kaleb, not that she could recall, and she wondered just what it is that he had done.
A quick glance to the side showed how his brother was progressing with the persocom. It baffled him a bit, but at least it was keeping his overzealous sibling occupied; & Chii did not seem to mind.Yahto did not know he was possibly being helpful, the yoshi was just having fun. If the fun helped, that was a bonus. Thinking of a something the young Theron loved -which meant Yahto likely enjoyed it too- he smiled. Folding his arms He flapped his new "wings" up & down. "Flap like a birdie, Chii! Flap like a birdie!"Grey Dragon Kaleb turned to look at Lainey when she asked him about his training, but he quickly bowed his head a bit almost in appology. "I-I'm considered a white mage. I have sufficient training in the fields of healing and protective magic, and force magic to a lesser degree, but at the moment my main focus is research."
He took a sip of his water, being near the center of attention made his mouth feel a little dry. RavenFyre The firework girl sighed contently, it felt nice and warm just being near Aiden, in some ways it was nicer than when they were intimate, though she quickly shook those thoughts away, knowing she'd start blushing darkly just thinking about it! "A..." Lainey looked simply amazed, as if she wasn't sure if he was being entirely truthful with her, "A white mage..? So then you can preform magic?" She remembered Dark telling her that he was powerful with magic as well, but she had never actually seen any. "I-if its not too much of a bother, can you show me? Please, I've never seen magic before!"Chii stared at Yahto's silly movements in wonderment for a moment, then started to giggle, once again copying his moves, though at a slower pace. "Chiiii~!"
If Lainey was to be exposed to magic, the highlander preferred that it be white. He nodded reassuringly to the mage, golden eyes bright & gentle as he indicated his support & approval if needed.Now normally, Yahto would come running at the barest mention of potential displays of magic. He was probably the only member of their growing family who enjoyed being a guinea pig for the Weasley twins' latest treats. Luckily for Kaleb, the overly energetic male was enraptured with his new friend.
Hearing Chii giggle he could not help but laugh. "That's it Chii! You make a great birdie!" Yahto was starting to have a problem sitting still. It was not something he did for long under normal conditions. His legs twitched anxiously beneath him. What else could he do with only his arms that she could imitate?
Brown eyes flashed as an idea struck him. "Try this one, Chii! Y. M. C. A!!" He spaced the letters out, making sure to give enough time between each both to form the letters himself & wait for Chii to emulate his motions.Grey Dragon Kaleb smiled and nodded shyly, pleased that both of them seemed to want a demonstration. With a slight gesture and a quick incantation, he lifted the chair he was sitting in until it sat at a peculiar half foot above the ground. Since most of his magic was either invisible protection spells or healing, this was perhaps the way to show them some of what he could do. RavenFyre Lainey watched on curiously, her eyes growing wide like saucers in sheer astonishment when Kaleb lifted his chair, with himself in it, right off the ground. "T-That's amazing! How did you do that?!" She turned her excited gaze, noticing that he wasn't as amazed as she was, "D-did you know about things like this, Aiden?"Long, pale blonde hair fell over her shoulder as Chii tilted her head to watch Yahto curiously. With each new move he taught her her eyes would dull and then glow very lightly as she recorded the information into her memory, the faintest little whirring sound heard, though was back to normal when she copied him, "Y. M. C. A." She repeated the words back at the same time as the motions. Grey Dragon Kaleb's lopsided smile grew a bit at Lainey's reaction. Having someone respond positively to his magic provided him with some reassurance, which he desperately needed every now and again. He was able to relax a bit into his floating chair, readjusting his heavy book in his lap so his legs didn't go numb.
The mage didn't say anything at that point, he took another sip of his water and waited to see where the conversation would go from there. RavenFyre Lainey blushed sheepishly, "Well I heard people tell me that they could do magic, but I've never actually seen it done before! That's so amazing!" She pouted cutely in thought, "I wish I could do some magic... Maybe then I could go flying with you without you having to carry me... but alas~!" She sighed dramatically, "I don't think I have a magical cell in my body." She smiled at Kaleb, "Just where did you learn to do that?" She was so entrhalled in this new topic that she didn't notice Chii speak her first words other than her name.The persocom smiled at Yahto's excitement, nodding a bit and speaking once again right after the Yoshi, this time with much more excitement, "Chii~! Y. M. C. A.!!" Aiden raised a questioning brow at Kaleb, wondering if there was a way the mage could teach his beloved to do magic. That his small wings could fly him was magic enough for him. Besides, he liked the feel of a sword in his hand & did not fancy taking on a new study after all this time. His mind wondered, wondering if Lainey could use Rikku's DressSpheres if the Al Bhed made a SphereGrid for her. His sister had spoken of making grids for Relm & Naruto... perhaps asking her to make one more would be little bother to her. Aiden would keep it in mind to ask her. Although he had missed the first time, the quiet gentleman overheard the second time Chii repeated Yahto. He turned his gaze to the pair, watching the cyan yoshi audio get more involved in the dance now that he was standing up. "That's it Chii! That's it! Y. M. C. A!!"Dinnae Lainey say th' lass only spoke her own name? She'll be wantin' te see this... Ever so gently -with a look of apology for the young mage- Aiden spoke to get Lainey's attention. "I think ye should spare a thought fer yer fetching sister, bonnie lass." This was emphasized with a slight inclination of his head towards their siblings. Grey Dragon Kaleb couldn't help but smile at Lainey's enthusiasm, her pleasantly outgoing nature soothed his nerves enough to keep him from stuttering as he answered her question. "I received instruction for several years at an institute for magical training and research." He frowned a bit and glanced down at his paws, but then looked back up with a smile. "But I met an Audio who was teaching himself a bit of magic, so it's possible to learn without formal training."
When Aiden gestured towards Yahto and Chii, Kaleb curiously looked over as well to see what was going on. RavenFyre She nodded slightly as she took in the new information, looking curious, "But did you know you could do magic before or... Or can anyone learn?" She didn't think that was possible, but maybe her judgement was just a be warped after reading all of Rave's Harry Potter books. "Hmm?" Lainey turned her attention to her sister when Aiden mentioned her. "Why, is something..." her words cut off in her throat as she watched the two of their siblings.By this time Chii had gotten up herself, copying Yahto motion for motion. It seemed to her that since Yahto was making sure she knew how do to this, that it must be a very important thing to learn, so she put her all into learning it. "Y. M. C. A!"She was taken aback, not finding her voice for a few seconds before exclaiming, "Chii! You spoke!"Catching the little persocom by surprise, Chii turned at the call of her name, tilting her head to the side, "Chii?" Aiden was chuckling to himself, happily watching his love's reactions. Casting his eyes at Kaleb he smiled & winked as they could see Yahto nearly trip over his own feet in surprise when he remembered the others were there. The hyper male turns back to the group with a crooked grin. "Yeah! She did! Whyn't you tell me Chii was good at this game, Lainey?" As if he had given her time to do so. Grey Dragon Kaleb held off replying to Lainey's question about learning magic, feeling it would be inappropriate with something so important going on.
The healer took that chance to marvel at how easy it appeared for the audio around him to feel comfortable in each others' presence, and how quick they were to ask him questions and include him. The thought made him feel warm inside, like when he was able to help others, and a genuine smile spread across his face. RavenFyre "Game?" She hadn't known Chii able to play any games. At this point the little persocom audio (audiocom?) was good at mimicking others. Though she would notice that the blonde would only copy certain people, which included one of the betas back home. That had been interesting to see. "What game are you guys playing?" She was embarrassed to admit to herself that she hadn't been paying any attention to her sister until Aiden pointed her out.Now that the game seemed to have stopped Chii would keep looking between the Lainey and Yahto as they spoke to each other, looking a bit lost. "Chii?" Yahto replied incredulously, brown eyes wide with mild reproof that she did not know. Then taking both of Chii's hands in his he stood opposite her & smiled widely. "You like this game, dontcha Chii?" Then to the others. "See? Watch!" Then he went through the full motions of "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes" again, saying the words firmly & emphatically at a decent yet slow speed (for him). "Head! Shoulders! Knees & Toes! Knees & Toes! Head! Shoulders! Knees & Toes! Knees & Toes!"Aiden chuckled to himself at the children's game. He often played it with Theron himself at home, though less now with Yahto around & always willing to play & dance with the young ones. Of course his new brother was little help in carrying for the little ones, but he did keep them entertained. He smiled & offered an explanation to Kaleb. "Lainey says th' lass is a persocom, an android o' sorts. Bu' she seems nae te work right, only saying her name an' being able to mimic others' actions. Tha's why t'is momentous tha' she be speaking other than her name." The highlander almost winked. "T'is new te me as well."Grey Dragon Kaleb nodded at the explanation, although he had never actually seen a persocom before. "It's nice she's got a good friend to help get her circuits working right," the mage said simply. RavenFyre "Do as I do?" Lainey repeated, then started to laugh softly. Of course she would be wonderful at a game like that. "It's one of her favorite games, I suppose." She nodded to Kaleb with Aiden's explanation. "This is the first time I've ever seen Chii speak anything other than her name. I'm sure everyone at home will be so excited!" "Chii!" the little blonde cheered happily just seeing Yahto's wide smile, taking it as a good thing, though she really didn't understand what he was talking about. Picking up on how firmly the cyan colored yoshi speaking, she assumed he was teaching her something important again, the light whirring sound heard again as she recorded the information, then copied him, words and all. "Head. Shoulders. Knees and toes."She was even more astonished when the persocom's vocabulary expanded further. Saying letters was one thing, but now she was speaking real words. She laughed breathlessly in amazement, "How are you doing that?" Yahto paused, fingers pointing to his eyes & mouth already opened to form the beginning sound in continuing the song. He tilted his head to stare at his brother's mate, mouth still open. "Do what? Play?"Behind Lainey, the highlander's whole body shook with laughter. His wings fluttered with mirth as he brought his arm from where it rested on the sofa to hug her shoulder. Chuckling softly Aiden lowered his lips to the spot where her shoulders & kissed her lightly. "Ye dinnae understand Yahto's way wit' games, beloved. If nae fer th' lad's stubbornness he would have Theron speaking as well. Yer new sister seems te be more accommodating te Yahto's particular kind o' usefulness."Rolling his eyes & shaking his head, Yahto turned his attention back to Chii. He liked that she used simple words. Aiden might not speak often but when he did the highlander could be pretty windy. "Aww... whyn't you guys just play with us instead of yapping? I bet Kaleb would like to play too, wouldn't you Kaleb?" He shot the mage a quick smile & an inviting inclination of his head before facing Chii once more & continuing where they had left off. "Eyes & Ears & a Mouth & Nose! Head! Shoulders! Knees & Toes! Knees & Toes!"Grey Dragon Kaleb's eyes widened in response to Yahto's invitation, and he blushed as he shook his head vigorously and waved his hands in front of him. "N-no, I'm okay, you guys can play without me!" RavenFyre Lainey laughed softly, "No, I mean... nevermind," she didn't want to ruin this with all her questions, flushing as Aiden's arm went around her shoulder, cheeks coloring even warmer at the kiss. "It really seems to work with Chii. We've tried to teach her how to talk before. I wonder how he did it." She shook her head in amusement, "You two can continue playing. You're doing a really good job at teaching Chii, Yahto. Thank you!"Chii's eyes were bright with happiness at how much she was learning, though this time she didn't learn the new words she was being taught, just copying the motions, "CHII~!" Yahto made a face. "Fine." He stuck his tongue out at them, crinkling his eyes. Aiden hid his grin at such a display in Lainey's shoulder although he could not so easily hide how his body shook with mirth. Waving them off the yoshi continued to do "Head shoulders knees & toes" with Chii, going all the way through the song again. It must have been the others not wanting to play that threw off his friend. Of course she could talk! "Head! Shoulders! Knees & Toes! Knees & Toes! Head! Shoulders! Knees & Toes! Knees & Toes! Eyes & Ears & a Mouth & Nose! Head! Shoulders! Knees & Toes! Knees & Toes!""Me thinks th' lad protests too much." Aiden said for Lainey & Kaleb's ears alone. Not hard, with Yahto being so loud in his game. The highlander turned piercing yellow eyes on Kaleb. "I believe ye were going te tell us how one might learn magic. Or a' least if ye be able te spot who can learn."Grey Dragon Kaleb blushed a bit, but he was quick to pick up on the topic they had been discussing earlier. "Uhm, yes." He paused for a second, trying to order his thoughts as to best answer their questions. "If you can't channel magical energy, it is possible to learn through meditation-like exercises. It might take awhile though, depending on how much natural affinity you have for magic."
Once the scrawny mage was sure Yahto and Chii were fully occupied by their game, he gently dropped the chair back onto the ground. He hadn't wanted to startle them, so he was glad they hadn't noticed. RavenFyre Chii tilted her head to the side curiously, then went back to copying Yahto again when he started the motions again, completeing the song with a soft, computerized whirr just barely heard from her, "Head. Shoulders. Knees and toes. Knees and toes. Head. Shoulders. Knees and toes. Knees and toes. Eyes and ears and a mouth and nose. Head. Shoulders. Knees and toes. Knees and toes!"Lainey was still so amazed that the cyan colored yoshi was getting these reactions out of Chii. She turned her attention back to Kaleb and Aiden when Yahto seemed upset with them for not playing, though she got the feeling that the yoshi would prefer to play with Chii by himself anyways. "Oh..." She thought about what Kaleb just told them, her brows furrowing lightly, "Well how do you know if you can channel magical energy or if you have an affinity for magic at all?"
He was nodding as he spoke, not thinking bout how she mimicked everything only thinking that it would be so much fun to hokey pokey.Keeping an ear on his brother, Aiden found that he too was curious about the answer to Lainey's question. However the scent of her filling his nostrils was bringing out a mischievous side of his nature the highlander only seemed to have around the female. He nibbled her shoulder once, ever so lightly where he had been hiding his smile. "If i' counts fer anything, Lainey-love, ye certainly have magic as far as I'm concerned."Grey Dragon Kaleb smiled lopsidedly. "If you have a natural affinity, you'll know when you try the exercises." The healer knew about that from experience, he had been able to channel the first time he tried, and he had actually fallen out of his chair in the middle of the seminar with the shock and surprise of it. "But I've known people who worked for months before being able to channel anything." RavenFyre The persocom nodded just like the yoshi audio was, mimicking his excited expression as well, "Chii~!"Lainey shivered, flushing pink as she felt Aiden's teeth graze her shoulder, feeling little sensative prickles forming, "A-aiden..." his words did nothing to help the pinkness of her cheeks, only blushing darker. She tried to concentrate on what Kaleb was saying, "Exercises? What sort of exercises?" Grey Dragon Kaleb tried not to laugh, he found it rather amusing how hard Lainey was trying to focus, despite her... distractions. Between the friendly company, comfortable chair, and discussing the one thing he did best, the mage seemed to lose most of his nervous behavior.
"Visualization, breathing exercises, it depends on who's teaching." He replied with a smile as he pulled his feet up to sit cross-legged, adjusting the large textbook on his lap. "The exercise that worked for me the first time I channeled magic was to picture myself floating in a river, and then imagining the water flow through me instead of around me." RavenFyre Chii watched him at first, the started to mimick him, as she was very good at doing. Though she didn't learn the words, just the movements. "Chii...!"Lainey, still blushing warmly, tilted her head to kiss Aiden's temple, smiling softly. She was glad that he stopped teasing her, embarrassed at how easily she reacted even in front of other people. "Have you ever taught other people, Kaleb?" She wondered how the young mage would teach someone magic, though she was too embarrassed to ask if he could try to teach her magic. She was already asking Aiden to learn how to dance and sword fight. She tilted her head curiosuly, "Like the water is running through you..." She thought about that for a moment, though she didn't see how visualizing that would help her to float. She didn't try it, though. Too embarrassed at the moment. "I don't think I could do anything like that!"
Aiden nuzzled her gently. "Bu' perrhaps ye would do betterr wi' a differrent visualization. Like a brreeze. I darre say t'is a varrried experrience."Grey Dragon Kaleb blushed very bright at Lainey's question, he had indeed tried to teach someone once. She had proved to be quite a distraction herself. "I-I-I d-did try, once, b-but they weren't able to focus on the exercises." His hands fidgeted in a very flustered manner as he remembered the event, until he took a deep breath to calm himself somewhat.
"A-Aiden is right, some exercises work better for different people. I had a friend who couldn't do a thing with the river visualization. She giggled, glancing at the dancing pair next to them, shaking her head in amusement, "I don't think I could ever find a calm enough atmosphere between how full and noisey home is and how active this shop can be!" She rested her head lightly against the top of Aiden's, "You have an ideas for a calm atmosphere, love?" Grey Dragon Kaleb listened to their exchange, for the first time wondering if his calm and quiet apartment was unusual in that it could be used for study and reflection. Luckily his apartment wasn't the only location he could seek when he needed silence or relaxation. "There's a small field out in the woods nearby that I often use for practice," he offered, adjusting his glasses a bit. "It's usually quiet there." RavenFyre Lainey sighed softly, "I've never thought of what was a calming atmosphere for me... I guess somewhere that's not too noisy... Somewhere comfortable. The seaside sounds nice. I bet the sound of waves would be really calming, too." She was just thinking outloud, but she liked Kaleb's idea, "That sounds like it could be relaxing, too!" She couldn't help but laugh softly. She had just been curious about all this before, but now it seemed like she was really going to go through with it.Being a computer, even if one without any memory at the moment, it was easy for the blonde persocom to pick up speed along with Yahto without messing up, smiling at the cute little dance they were doing. "Chii~!" Grey Dragon Kaleb glanced between Lainey and Aiden, and although he lacked experience in social situations, sometimes he was observant enough to make up for that lack. He smiled lopsidedly. "We didn't have to go now. If Aiden knows where the clearing is, I could show you an exercise now and he could take you to practice sometime. Then if you get tired of practicing, I'm sure there are other things you two could do." His smile was too innocent to hint at any hidden meanings. RavenFyre "Now..?" Well this was all rather sudden, Lainey thought. But she didn't like the idea of being there without Aiden, either. She sighed softly, agreeing with Kaleb. "That sounds like a good idea, Kaleb. And besides..." she stopped there, blushing. It was too embarrassing to admit that she would need Aiden with her to be fully relaxed. She gave Kaleb a strange look at what he was suggesting, wondering if he even knew what he was suggesting. She smiled teasingly, "Like what?"With a happy squeal, Chii bounced in and back as the reached the end of the song, mimicking Yahto perfectly even now, looking a bit silly as she shook herself all about. "That's what it's all about!" She squeaked happily in the end. MoochiLove Morgana: *blinks a few times at the snoozing baby in her lap* Audio_Rehiko whoops i missed one~  MoochiLove Morgana: *giggles and rubs at her sons back gently, looking at his bone markings, then looks to Gareth, giving him a sweet smile*
Akira: *snorts in his sleep, then opens his eyes enough to where he can what is going on, then shuts them again* Dark Turret Dragons Kaleb looked a little confused at Lainey's question and teasing smile, unsure if he understood the direction the conversation seemed to have taken. A bit of a blush crept across his cheeks, he was obviously missing something. Maybe an inside joke of some kind...
He fidgeted a bit, before shaking his head to rid himself of his awkward hesitancy. Then his lopsided smile returned as he answered Lainey's original question. "I don't know, I don't usually practice with friends." RavenFyre Lainey couldn't help but laught, though she shivered lightly as Aiden nibbled on her ear, "I know. But still, that was just too cute!" She decided not to tease the poor mage further. "Alright, so how does this breathing exercise work?"Chii squealed in surprise when she was suddenly lifted and swung around in a circle, her long hair and frilled dress fluffing around her at the motion, "ChiiIiiii~" She tilted her head to the side, then smiled brightly, "Chii!" continued Page 2024 ('cause above post couldn't handle any more. wink ) Although Aiden was more than tempted to continue to act on the pleasant thoughts in his head he desisted. Now was neither the time nor the place for such things. He pulled back slightly, trailing his hands up Lainey's arms as he did. Then with sure, practiced motions he gently began to massage her shoulders.The yoshi audio brushed his nose lightly against Chii's in the "Eskimo kisses" his family loved so well. "That's a yes, yes?" Brown eyes sparkled happily. "Yes, we'll play again?" MoochiLove Morgana nods her agreement as she continues to stroke the sleeping boys back. Dark Turret Dragons Cute? What? Kaleb honestly had no idea what was going on, but at least they had found themselves back on a topic he could follow. "It is pretty simple. Just inhale, and imagine drawing energy into yourself. When you exhale, imagine it flowing out so it forms a continuous stream." He paused, carefully selecting his next words. "You'll be able to feel it when you actually channel energy, it feels... kind of like swallowing something warm. Only the sensation fills your entire body instead of just your throat." RavenFyre A soft, relaxing breath escaped the firework girl as Aiden' massaged her shoulders, her eyes fluttering for a moment. She looked around. Spotting the audio she recognized as Morgana with her new pup. She felt something tighten in her chest, imagining what it would be like in her case, taking care of the pups she just had with Aiden. That alone sent a soft warmth through her body, but she quickly shook the thoughts away. Now wasn't the time for them. She came back to herself, "That sounds easy enough to remember," she nodded to Kaleb. It was just around that time that she noticed that the pair of extra headphones she had hanging around her neck was now a sleeping pup draped around her shoulders. "A-ah... Cain!"The nature colored pup's eyes fluttered open sleepily as he was called out. "Mmnh... Mama...?" he muttered as he looked at Lainey.Lainey laughed softly, gently stroking the top of his head, "No, I'm your big sister.""Sister..." Cain repeated with a soft purr, then went back to sleep.Lainey laughed softly, though she looked a touch regretful, "I guess I should get him home. Everyone will be eager to meet him!" Looking over at her sister, she was amazed at just how close she and Yahto seemed to be already. She hated the thought of having to seperate them, too, but she was responsible for Chii at the moment. "Chii, it's time to go home."Chii squeaked softly as her nose was rubbed against Yahto's, "Chii..?" She found herself nodding absently, the word sounded thick as she spoke it out, "Yyyyessss..." She looked up when her sister called her, tilting her head to the side, "Chii?"
Then he removed his hands from her of all but the barest touch to not hold her back.Yahto made a high happy sound & hugged Chii when she said yes. He pouted a little hearing Lainey say they had to leave & turned his head to show his disappointment even as he released the persocom from his hug. His eyes widened spotting the pup around his brother's mate's shoulders & he pulled Chii with him to have a closer look -letting go of her hand once they arrived. "You've a pup!" Tilts head. "Looks nothing like you or Aiden."Chuckling Aiden ducked his head to hide the wide grin that spread over his face. "He's nae ours ye crazy laddie." "Oh. So when are ye going to have pups then?"Flabbergasted, Aiden guffaws at his sibling in silence."Well, you should get on it." Yahto nodded with certainty. Then he smiled at Chii. "Bye Chii! Come & play with me again!"Dark Turret Dragons Kaleb waved and watched them go, feeling regretful that Lainey couldn't have stayed longer, but also feeling glad he had been able to explain the magic exercise before she left. While Yahto and Aiden had their little discussion, Kaleb turned around a bit to see what Lainey and Aiden had been looking at. Unfortunatly he couldn't handle the sight Morgana's blood any better than he had the first time, and with a bit of a choked squeak, he fainted and fell out of the chair. RavenFyre Lainey looked into Aiden's eyes for a moment, then kissed him back softly, almost as she understood his silent message. "I'll be back soon," she whispered warmly against his cheek. She got to her feet, carefulyl shifting the still sleeping Cain to hold in her arms."Chii..." the persocom noticed the pup as well, tilting her head curiously, then squeaked when she was pulled closer. She studied Cain closely, then smiled, "Chii!"Lainey blushed crimson at the thought that Cain could be her and Aiden's pup, but shook her head, "He's not my son, he's my little brother. Just like you're Aiden's little brother." She didn't think she could blush any darker at Yahto's next curious question, her eyes as wide as saucers, "W-what..?!" It took her a moment to get ahold of herself again, giggling softly under her breath. "We'll be sure to get on it as soon as we can, right Aiden?" She smiled at her beau teasingly, but waited anxiously to hear his response. Chii looked between Yahto, then her sister, to her littler brother, then to Yahto once again. She returned his smile brightly. "Chii~!""Kaleb, I just want to thank you now for your advice and I wanted to know-" Lainey turned her attention to Kaleb just in time to watch him topple off of his chair, "K-kaleb?!" Aiden wanted to take her in his arms right then, but the pup was in the way & he also knew that should he do so it would be even harder to let her go. Especially after that. So he let his gaze caress her lovingly & blushes thinking about "their" future pups. Idly, he wondered if he would lose his wings when he removed his headphones. Yahto merely nodded, glancing around the room & grinning at everyone. When Kaleb fell off his chair he ran like lightening to his side. Aiden following more sedately after. "Woah! You okay, Kaleb?"The highlander checked the mage over with a practiced eye. "He's fainted. Dinnae hit his head at all, thank th' Saints." He glanced at Lainey knowing she was concerned but also knowing she needed to take her siblings home. "I'll see to it that th' lad's all right, Lainey-love, if ye be wanting te take yer kin home." The larger than average Audio easily lifted the small Kaleb & settled him on the couch Aiden & Lainey had only recently vacated. "Yahto, a damp cloth & something tha' smells strong, if ye will?"With a nod the yoshi zipped quickly to the kitchen & back giving the items to his brother, who took them with a nod of his own -more dignified somehow. Washing the healer's face Aiden opened the lid of the spice jar & put it under Kaleb's nose. Cheyenne Pepper. Grey Dragon Kaleb woke up a few moments after the jar of hot pepper was placed under his nose, but it could be argued that it would have been kinder to leave him unconsious. Immediately his nose started burning, and he jerked himself up into a sitting position so suddenly he nearly became dizzy all over again. The mage clamped both paws over his muzzle and tightly closed his eyes, feeling confused and wishing the burning to stop. He whimpered ever so slightly as his eyes watered and his nose ran, looking rather pitiful in his distress. RavenFyre It was hard to just not rush into Aiden's arms then and there when he agreed, spots of tears welling up in her eyes, smiling brightly. Aiden felt the same! it was such a relief and such a swell of happiness inside her, once again picturing petting and holding her pups with Aiden.
She frowned, unsure of whether she should just leave or not, especially when she saw Kaleb bolt upright with tears in his eyes, but hesitantly she nodded. She waved one last time before heading out, leading Chii beside her. Grey Dragon Kaleb sat for a few minutes more with the water in his hands, before his breathing calmed and he reached up to rub away his tears. "I-I'm sorry," was the first thing he said as he blushed, and took a quick sip of his drink.
When he heard what Yahto had also considered as a means to wake him up, he nearly choked on his water. The scrawny mage had been sure he was going to die for a minute there, anything more potent wold have been a nightmare. The older male consoled, still obviously fretting a bit over the mage. It came from being the oldest, most responsible member of his family. He could hardly count Locke, Shippou, Theron, Jezebel, or Tien as more mature than he; although the highlander had a feeling the adventuresome, mischievous cait would be much more responsible when it came to his own cits than with the variety in their shared family. Also concerned, but equally curious about the fainting all the same, the cyan hued audio continued to rock back & forth on his feet. "Sure! Some just don't have the same constitution as others." Yahto blurted out flippantly with a smile. Aiden shook his head at his brother's interjection. "Ach, Yahto-lad. Would it hurt ye te just once think afore speaking?" "Nope!" The yoshi responded, smiling & clearly not have followed the question. The highlander shook his head sadly, then turned & smiled gently at Kaleb. "I apologize fer th' burn yer nose must feel, Lad. T'was nae my first choice, bu' I dinnae think t'would be wise te try & send th' lad fer smelling salts... much less explain te him wha' they be."Dark Turret Dragons Kaleb glanced away, still sorry for troubling Aiden despite the other's reassurances. He was also horribly embarassed that his weakness had to come out so soon. "N-no, I'm usually fine," he said as he rubbed a bit at his nose. "I-I just don't handle the sight of blood so well..."
He set his unpleasant thoughts aside for the moment, and smiled lopsidedly. "I-it's okay, the burning is almost gone now. Thank you for... taking care of me." The mage blushed a bit more, fidgeting slightly. He patted the small male's shoulder with a small nod of understanding. "I've heard of many a great one tha' felt faint a' th' sight o' blood. T'is naught te' be ashamed o'. Bu' I do worry fer ye, if ye cannae overcome th' faintin' part. Ye may hurt yerself."
"Bu' nae more on tha', Kaleb-lad. I'm sure t'is nothing ye dinnae already ken." Standing back he took a step away & placed a restraining hand on his brothers shoulder. Yahto turned to blink at him in puzzlement, stunned to silence. "Thank ye fer yer company, lad. T'is been a pleasure & an honor. Bu' I fear we've been keepin' ye from yer studies." With a knowing smile Aiden nodded at the book. "An if yer like our scholarly kitsu kin, yer achin' te read after all this time."Yahto actually had the sense to look apologetic. Dark Turret Dragons Kaleb nodded timidly as Aiden provided further reassurance and expressed his concerns, but he couldn't quite find the words to respond with until the other audio excused himself. "Th-thank you again," he said to both Aiden and Yahto, smiling lopsidedly. "I've enjoyed the conversation, very much." His smile bore more than a trace of ruffian against an almost perfect blissful expression. "T'ween ye & Yahto, I've th' answer te a question I've nae been able te ask o' m'lady yet." He held up a hand as if expecting the mage to deny any involvement, while Yahto snickered behind his hand & looked very pleased with himself. "T'is how I see it & ye willnae convince me otherwise. Now, til we meet again." He bowed at the waist. "Fare thee well, Kaleb."Yahto waved wildly as they left. "See ya around, Kaleb! And next time maybe you'll dance with us too!"

T'was an interesting night, te say th' least. I dinnae ken where te' begin. Shall I start wit' th' meeting o' Lainey's new android sister, Chii? My bonnie love calls her a "persocom" which seems much like our Myranda who be a GaiaCom. 'cepting Chii seems te have been tossed out wit' th' trash, poor lass, an' dinnae talk more than her name. Or at lest nae until Yahto got a hold o' her. I dinnae ken exactly how he came 'bout tha', but t'is likely his playful nature tha' did it. He is quite god wit' th' wee ones, an' if she remembers nothing, Chii is little more than a wee one herself.
We also met th' mage, Kaleb, whom my sisters have spoke o' before. He was kindly willing te' give m'lady pointers te finding if she has propensity fer his "teachable magic"... which I hope fer her sake she does. The lad seems te have a thing about blood, fer he fainted a' the sight o' th' bloody lass & her new pup.
An' speakin' o' pups, Lainey's new wee brother popped from his headphones as well. A right surprise, tha'. An' bless tha' straitforward brother o' mine, he set th' ball rolling on a matter o' much importance te me. Why I left it te the last te mention. Th' matter o' Lainey & I having pup o' our own. I ken I love her, I ken she loves me, bu' tha' dinnae mean th' assumtion tha' she wanted pups as much as I did. Te' ken she does... ach. I've nae been so giddy wit' delight since learning she loved me. An' I ken this shallnae fade. I see wee ones wit' my wings an' their mother's lovely eyes... aye. T'is a sight I willnae mind a bit, holding onto each night as I fall asleep. E'en on nights I sleep alone.
Ah... life is good.

A special gift Page 2138RavenFyre It had been a long while since she last saw Aiden, and Lainey was getting very lonely without him. That's why she made her way to the shop now, reminding herself that she needed to find out how she can find Aiden outside the shop, too. The last time she was here, he hadn't been, so she really hoped he was here this time.
He only hoped Lainey would like it.
High in his hammock perch the fae audio watched the door. Hoping, waiting to see his beloved step inside so he could take her into his arms and bequeath his gift to her.RavenFyre Walking into the shop, the first place Lainey looked for her beau was up in the rafters, though it was hard to make-out if he was there with the lighting. Catching a shadowed form she waved happily, "Aiden?" She wasn't entirely sure if it was him, but she didn't know of any of ther auido that could get up there. RavenFyre "Aiden...!" Lainey went easily into his arms, purring contently, "I've missed you, too." She laughed almost sheepishly, "There has to be a place where we can meet outside the shop. I hate going days without seeing you." RavenFyre Aiden's soothing fingers only made Lainey relax against him more, practically melting into his arms, "Mmmmnh... a-anywhere is fine with me, really. Umm..." she tried to think of a good meeting place.
Softly withdrawing from their embrace he led her gently to a sofa, offering her a seat with a sweep of his arm. "Please. I've something fer ye, Beloved."RavenFyre Lainey nodded absently, still purring quite contently in his arms. She felt that she could just stay like that forever if she could. He pouted at him when he pulled away, but she followed after him, sitting herself down primly on the couch. "You got me a gift?" The surprise was clear in her voice.
He pulled forth the black velvet pouch he had held before. Loosening the drawstrings he slipped his hand inside. When he drew it back out he held a necklace made from polished seashells. With baited breath he held it out for her to take.RavenFyre "Aiden, you shouldn't have!" She could feel her heart skipping a beat at just the thought of Aiden giving her a gift. She held her breath as he slowly revealed the necklace from the velvet pouch, "A-ah.." She was left speechless for a moment, fingers reaching out to reverantly touch the smooth, polished seashells before taking it carefully from him, "Aiden... I-it's beautiful..." Her voice was barely a whisper. RavenFyre A lovely pink hue overtook her cheeks, staring intently at the beautiful shells, too embarrassed at the moment to look directly at Aiden, "Flatterer..." She was smiling all the same as she carefully tied the necklace around her neck, the shells contrasting nicely against her dark fur, touching it with gentle fingertips, "What do you think?"
When she did he smiled & kissed her lips tenderly.RavenFyre Lainey laughed, even as a small shiver went down her spine, "You'll spoil me, Aiden! But now I feel horrible! I've never gotten a gift for you!" She gasped softly, tilting her head up to offer more of her throat to his touch, her eyes full of love as she looked at him. She returned the kiss softly, her arms snaking around his neck in a loose hold.
The hand on her chin moved then, lightly stroking up and down the soft fur of Lainey's neck. Aiden watched his own hand in a form of wonder, his vision obscured by the female's ear. "Love. Th' gift o' love."RavenFyre Lainey could feel her face burning from the force of her blushing, allowing the little kisses to rain over his face, shivering at the spoft spoken words right by her ear, "Aiden.." She pulled back, looking deeply into his eyes. "You're such a hopeless romantic," She teased before kissing him again, a soft, chaste kiss. "But that's one of the things I love about you."
He kissed her nose lightly. "Would ye like te go look for a place te meet? One not here, or home?" His tone hinted at more if she wanted, with promises of restraint from more if she did not.RavenFyre Lainey leaned into Aiden's touch with a content, purring sigh, "Yes... it is.. And your accent. I guess I'm just a sucker for sexy accents!" She laughed softly when he kissed her nose, wiggling it cutely for him. "Umm, sure! Someplace..." she wanted to say secluded, but she knew that if she did they'd most likely only be doing one thing while they were there. She wanted to get to know Aiden past the physical, and the look was clear in her eyes. RavenFyre Lainey leaned into Aiden's touch with a content, purring sigh, "Yes... it is.. And your accent.
