Indeed Rai, Jap to dubbed is strange.

Update: Watched all the bleach eps. so im done just waiting for the new ones to come weekly.

And i've only seen couple of goood represented black people in anime, like Tousen in Bleach and some people in Cowboy Bebop, there are probably others but i've also seen some horrific ones.

xD yeah.
You don't seem many black people in animes.

Question! Have ya'll noted that in an anime that has a Black chr, that chr is usually these following types 1. They dance good. 2. They are the comicdy chr. 3. It's almost always a black guy. . . and 4. They have the bigest lips. . . sweatdrop I am glad that so Anime got it right. . . like Yu-Gi-Oh! cer

actually , I know of anime that broke that ideal. Bleach Captain Kaname Yousen. Go look at him.

Which is a real shame. Especially seeing as how the majority of anime seems to come from Japan. I would think more anime would at least have more asian characters not mostly white. Cowboy Bebop is a great show though could use more color in it. Just because it's fantasy doesn't mean it shouldn't rep all people of the world. Look at Dragonball when Goku of DBZ was little. More people of color including a Native American which I thought was great.^_^
Of course they also had some talking animal creatures in it which I thought was dumb.

I agree, Red. (Welcome to the guild, by the way.) There should be more color in anime...I see SO many blonde-haired, blue-eyed characters in anime; it seems so weird and I admit I just don't get it. confused I mean, sure, caucasians are the majority in the US, and it's obvious that Japan is aware of and perfectly apt to exploit the fact that many, many Americans love anime and other Japanese-inspired and created things. It's why so many videogames are geared toward males--they want to stick with what they think works. But it's not the same as it was back when videogames came out--more females are playing now than ever before in the history of videogames. And with anime, more people of color are watching and being directly or indirectly influenced by it than ever before. So why not put a little more effort into keeping new readers interested??

blaugh Ahhh anime....(lol dang I just left another guild singin praises of anime...) Love it love it love it. My top favorites are Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Elfin Lied. They all have themes I can identify with. Ha...what can I say; I've been an anime fan for years. I was the only girl in my class who watched DBZ (and got hated on by the guys who thought I didn't know shiat about it... rolleyes ) , spent so so many of my youthful weekends at Blockbuster Video....and...don't even get me started on Cardcaptor Sakura. rofl I can't get enough of the stuff. My iPod is equally full of two things--Prince and anime soundtrack music. The walls of my room are nearly covered in wall scrolls. I'm not at otaku level, though...lol. It's just a sweet escape from the real world for me. I love the wild story lines and energetic fight scenes.

*orgasmic sigh* I wouldn't be who I am today (I'd be less on the expressive side, lacking that fantasy part of me...) if not for anime.
