Somehow in the bustle of crew heading for the ship, Chris and the blacksmith got trundled onto the vessel. From what she could hear, a fight was goin' down...and Chris wasn't about to miss it. Jerking her headband off, she readjusted around her head to keep her head out of her eyes. "Git to cover, friend...that is, if you don't wanna die yur first day." She told the blacksmith boy. He would be useful in a fight, of course, but there was more than a sword that could kill you on board a ship. Heck, if you weren't experienced, you could get your neck snapped clean off by a stray rope. Tucking the bottle of rum into a convienient nook, Chris set out to doo as instructed. Popping up in one place to set a rope straight, and dashing to another to carry a cannonball, Chris finally landed among the cannons, working alongside people she'd never met before. Excitement and adrenaline hung heavy in the air, and Chris breathed deeply.

Robichaux turned the wheel with an iron ferocity, madness glinting in his eyes as he wore the grin of the devil-- he turned the ship round to face Levowitz on the broadside "At the end of this fight I don't want to see even one cannonball in a brass monkey on our ship, ye hear me!? I want it right in that b*****d's hide!" Robichaux pumped his fist in the air, clenched tight. "Fire! Fire! Fire!!"
(A Brassmonkey is a brass container with round depressions in it to hold cannonballs so they're not sliding around on deck)

Silver had cringed all the way to the ship and even while they were sailing. Having the siren on board would only be trouble and show the way for mutiny. She was a whore after all. His grimace didn't stop until the two ships were along-side eachother and he was behind a canon preparing it for the first shot of the battle. He kept repeating in his mind: "Open, clear, stuff, roll, close, lock, light, duck, and cover" He wasn't one to take to losing his hearing kindly so he ducked behind a heavy wooden wall just before the canon fired. The sound the other ship made as the ball hit its side was only half as painfull to the ears as the cannon had been. Before the other ship could respond Silver and his team were loading another ball into the tube along with the other teams now working double-time of loading, ducking, and reloading. The sound inside the Rosenrot consisted of one blast after another. While he was loading the fourth ball, he suddenly realized that he had never checked on the new recruits.. they were old enough, they should be able to handle themselves.. after all he had. Boom, another shot was fired, but this time at the Rosenrot. The ships were closing in.. apparently Levowitz wanted to board. In a flash Silver had dissapeared to the top deck and was strapping on his pistols and quarter staff. Thinking to himself,: "Where is Andrea when I need her."

(((This reminds me of the scene in Pirates of the Caribbean when they drop the starboard anchor and turn to face the black pearl. Awesomeness lol. All we need to do now is the scene with Jack saying "But why is the Rum gone!" I could see it happening with Robichaux lol.)))
There was a thunderous crash as the cannons fired. A number of them shooting off bundle shot, which was rather obviously a wrapped bundle of shrapnel that had the potential to tear an unprotected sailor to pieces. Andrea was now aiding one of the crew in loading a ball and chain shot that was designed to tear down masts and other rigging. As soon as the cannon had been made ready to fire she gave a nod to Hassings and his another crew that were manning that particular cannon. They set the fuse and with a great clap of thunder the gun fired sending it's ammo towards the enemy's mast. Though ball and chain ammo was difficult to aim well, so it was up to fate if this would damage Levowitz.

"Allright Levowitz I'm putting yer scruffy arse out of commision once and fer all.." Taking a flintlock in one hand and his cutlass in the other, he called out to his crew "30 men! Marcus! Andrea! Grab ropes and board their ship!" At this Robichaux had already gone to the side and grabbed a rope, his cutlass tucked under his elbow. "For the Rosenrot!" Robichaux kicked off with his boots and sailed through the air, letting go he collided with two crewmen on Levowitz's ship--stabbing them both as they were down, he brought it back up to lick the bloodied saber before swinging it high above his head "Levowitz! The only blood on this ship that will quench my thirst is yours! Now come on out here and meet your fate to davy jones' locker!" Robichaux let his pistol send out the challange seal, the buckshot sending a hole through an enemy crewman.

Marcus ran to the side of the ship, grabbed a rope, and backed up to get a running start. The moment Andrea appeared on deck he ran forward and sailed off the ship, the rope in one hand and his spinnig staff in the other. The oak-staff connected with the head of one of the opposing crew members with a resounding crack, with that the now dead crew member fell crumpling to the floor. As he landed next to the broken body and was immediantly surrounded by a few of his more relevant rivals within the ranks of Levowitz's crew. Marcus jumped up quickly, avoiding the saber aimed at his ankles, and slashed the throat of the man who weilded it with a dagger from nowhere. By the time he landed the dagger was up and his staff was already knocking another saber wide from its aimed cut at his head. At the moment he didn't have time to worry about Andrea but she was still in the back of his head.

((Yeah..all but the part where half the side of the ship gets rip up....immagine how much work it would take to fix that thing!)) Chris rejoiced in the noise, though she wasn't stupid enough to not protect her ears. Her plan had worked, she felt good about saving a sickly's life, and she was now on board a pirate ship, alongside the type tales had been sung about. She worked and learned quickly, her nimble fingers flying so that they couldn't be bruised by the cannonballs. She glanced up as more of the cannon crew headed up to the top deck, and looked out the cannon protal to see why. The other ship was headed for them...and Chris recognized the manuever. Following close on the heels of another sailor, she realized that she had left her weapons back on shore. Getting back to teh top, she located her recruited friend and together they searched for the armory. All they really had to do was follow a couple of sailors, heading to get themselves some weaponry. In the armory, Chris gave teh boy a few pointers that should keep him alive before heading back on deck.

The chain and ball shot missed by a foot or so, only managing to tear through the main sail of the enemy craft. Though Andrea had not remained around to see the outcome of that, she immediately drew her slender long bladed cutlass and grabbed a rope, the proceeding to swing over to the other ship, using the momentum of the swing to fuel a heavy kick into the chest of the first enemy crew that she came upon then using the momentum of that to move into a half turn to drive her blade into the gullet of another crew. Andrea wrenched the blade away from the body violently and turned on to her next opponent.

Levowitz was in rare form, his rapier sending whistles in the air as he swung it; his long golden hair flowing in th cool summer breeze-- his face though fair was contorted in fury as he made his way to Lucas Soloman Robichaux, a man he hated longer than he had known him. "Soloman Robichaux! I answer to your challenge! I am for you!"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Robichaux stowed his pistol, this was a saber fight through and through-- a battle of honor to decide it all. Men parted from either sides, it was a curse to get between two captains locked in mortal combat. Levowitz lunged and Robichaux parried, swords ringing on each contact in 3/4 time, their feet moving in synch to an unspoken rhythm as they dueled their way up the staircase to the poopdeck.
