I've donated a couple times, but it was never for more than 2-3 letters. I wouldn't mind donating again if the item isn't crappy. 3nodding

I used to donate INSANE (okay, maybe not insane... we'll stick with "crazy") amounts of money when I first joined Gaia. But, as my nice job went, well, bad, I switched jobs so I can no longer afford to donate. My sweetheart will donate in my name every month for a couple of letters for me, though... he's such a darling <3

I can afford to donate, but usually I don't bother. I just think it's crazy when you meet those people who give $500 each month for pixels... sweatdrop

I don't view it any different than paying X amount of dollars to play a ptp mmorpg. Paying for pixals? People do that every time they shell out the dough for WoW, or GW.
I approve of the system that Gaia uses, where it is not ptp, but instead is left up to the individual player to donate as much or as little as they care to, according to their desire and the afforability.
I can afford a bit more than the average Gaian, and it makes me happy to get my letters every month (and sell them biggrin ), and it makes me happy when random friends come and ask me, "Did you donate in my name?", cause they found a letter or two in their invy one day.
So, I will continue to donate, because I'm selfish, and greedy, and I enjoy being happy! xd

mehhh most people who never donate are the ones that have been here from the begining.. they already have everything mad D .. me, I'm a late '04 joiner (originally) And I just started donating from Jan '06 .. So far I've donated about 40$ each month .. 2 for the items , 2 for my letter sets and the rest go to the vend. And I donate via my cousin's CC as I'm still only 15 n_n

I'm fifteen now and I use my own debit card.
