I've found that usually single people say that they don't believe in soul mates, and when they find someone they always seem to say they do =P xp

Ok, but I'm not single. I'm getting married to my partner, and father of my child next April. We have been together 7 years and I feel perfectly connected with him and closer to him than anyone else (other than my daughter), but I do not believe we are soul mates as I do not believe in them. I do however think we have known each other in past lives as our connection is so strong.

I agree bonds are built over time, and i know im being slightly contrdictory of myself, but if soul mates do exist then they would be the type of person you could have a very strong bond with in a few months

But such an occurance wouldn't necessarily mean that they are your soul mate. You could have forged a strong connection with that person over one or many past lives.

i dont think i found mine yet and i might never find mine because the rule clearly says 'ye must love ye self before others love ye"
i still dont remember where i heard tat one but im starting to beleave it now.
i hate myself so no one has showed love for me yet so there fore the rule is true.

From what I have read, a soul mate is basically someone you have unfinished business with from a past life. I think a lot of us believe a soul mate is someone who completes us, but I believe that is not necessarily the case.

Soul mates - Well to be honest, I really can't say I believe in them. Your soul is the strongest thing you have, and to find the mate to that power and strength for yourself would have to be awesome magic. If it is possible to have a soul mate, well then maybe some of us never find that mate or perhaps it is not a person. Maybe it is your spirit guide or power animal? I know I have not found my soul mate. My ex-husband and I had a bond yet we a no longer together. I would not say he was my soul mate, there were too many differences between us.
