In seventh grade, people came up to use at comps and were like, "Your show is cool!" It made me feel good, cause we were just a junior guard. 8th grade, no one ever came up to me. Ever. Stupid sevies could not do anywork or get any better. We the 8th graders were the only ones who got better evenly throughout the enitre year. Eventually they got there, and there were some who did do great all year, but most did not. And it was embarassing.

Dance- Chine' (WOW I can Spell) (Know like 4 Different Preps) Tour' (Chine' in the air) (Know like 4 Different Preps) Fouette Tour'Jette (Switch Leap, I can do about 3 Different Kinds) Grande' Jette Pirouette (Know like 3 Different Preps) Double Pirouette (Know like 3 Different Preps)
Flag- Basics- Drop Spins- (I know 5 or 6 Different ways to start Drop Spins, and 2 Different Types) Peggy Spins/Overhanded Spins-(I know 4 or 5 Different ways to start them) Double Time/Double Fast/Double Speed/Speed Spins- (I know 3 Different ways to start them) Push Pins/Push Spins- I only know 1 way to get into it Flutters/BackScratchers?- It's a Twirl sort of. Who ever calls them that is wrong because you actually have to go behind you back for it to be a backscratcher. Extention- It's a Twirl, It goes the oposite way of a flutter. Butterfly- It's a Twirl, can't really explain. BackScratcher- It's sort of a Twirl that goes behind your back, behind your head. Pops/Flips- I know about 5 Different ways to do Pops Pop Tosses- Nuff Said Back Hand(1st Ct of Drop Spin) and Palm Up(Money Hand)- It's a Toss Back Hand and Palm Up Double- Toss Back Hand and Palm Up Triple - Toss Windmill- Toss Windmill Double- Toss Flat Toss/Horizontal Toss/Parrell Toss- Toss Flat Toss Double- Toss Double Time & a Half- Toss (1st 3 cts of Overhanded Spins(but on the 3rd you raise to your Forhead) then Rotate Down to a 45 and grab in the middle of the silk the Toss) One and a Half Rotations Double Time Double- Toss Double Time Triple- Toss Nifty Stuff- Floor Work- Drop Spins on the Floor Double Time on the Floor Peggys on the Floor Tossing any toss from the Floor Flat Toss the Roll on the Ground and Catch on the Ground under your Legs Twirl Flag through Legs 360's/Turn Around's- Flat Toss Double 360 Back Hand and Palm Up Double 360 Back Hand and Palm Up Triple 360 Double Time Double 360 Double Time Triple 360 Double Time Double 360 land on Knees Double Time Triple 360 land on Knees Angle Toss Double 360 Angle Toss Triple 360 Angle Toss Double 360 land on Knees Angle Toss Triple 360 land on Knees Back Catches Back Hand and Palm Up Double Back Catch Back Hand and Palm Up Triple Back Catch Double Time Double Back Catch Double Time Triple Back Catch Flat Toss Double Back Catch Angle Toss Double Back Catch Angle Toss Triple Back Catch Other Nifty Stuff 4 Flag- Neck Roll Arm Roll Shoulder Roll to Arm Roll to Neck Roll to Back Catch Leg Roll Angle Catches ( I know 4 Nifty Ones, I know about 40 Normal ones) Crazy Legs

That's really all I can think of for my Techinques and Knowledge of Basics and Nifty Stuff
If you Notices I can't do a Leg Catch, that's because My Arms are so Short that they don't go under my leg enough. All That is out is my Hand and That's not enough to Catch The Equipement.
But I got to a Little Guard in Hicksville, Florida. I'm a Senior in High School (That would Explain why I don't know Much.) Hopefully one Day I can March an Independent World WinterGuard and DCA (When I'm old enough)(WOOP 4 Renegades).
But My name is Bridget, and My Favorite Guard Equipement is Sabre. Also I have been told many Times That I am a Natural on Sabre by Instructors of DCI and Everything. Aint That Crazy!

Cool, Tohru! I can do most basics, a lot of the stuff you posted, on dance, flag, and some on rifle. I haven't started sabre yet, so all I can do is right spins on one.
It seems a lot of people like sabre. I can tell. People tell me that it's really easy to do big tosses on them, and even just right spinning my friend's was pretty fun! lol! biggrin

Well Sabre isn't as easy as everyone thinks, Well if you want to make the Sabre look Cool anywayz. The easy crap routines don't work on Sabre because of the way it's made you have to (not necissarly know but beable to do) alot of dance or dancey stuff to make it look interesting.
Not very many guards actually make a Sabre look decent.

Actually, everything about our guard is pretty good. *shrug*

Gr.... my biology partner and I were having a heated argument about guard today, when he was SUPPOSED to be working on our cell project. I mentioned band and of course the little freak just had to go off and call me a nerd and a weakling for being in guard. Kyle: What's the point of marching band? Neko: What's the point of football? K: It's a sport. N: guard is a sport. K: *laughs rudely* Hey, Paul! Is guard a sport? Paul: NO. N: Uh. yes it is. K: How? N: It's competitive, and you have to work really hard. K: *laughs even more rudely* There's no strength involved!
Now you can see where he made a mistake. No one says there's no strength involved in guard or marching band IN FRONT OF ME.
N: Idiot. There's no strength? Yeah, right. You just keep on thinking that. K: *laughs rudely* N: Those flags? They're heavier than they look. The rifles are heavier than they look. So are the sabres. K: *laughs very loudly and rudely* Hahahaha! Sabres! Hahahaha! Hey, let's go spin those flags! And the fake guns! P: and the fake swords! K and P: *laugh rudely* N: School cheerleading isn't a sport. The real, competitive type is, but not that crap our cheereladers do. K: I think cheerleading is a sport, becasue theyre all really hot. N: Yes, freak, and that's definately the real definition of a sport. K: I would be in that sport. N: Then why don't you? K: Cause I'm a guy. N: Why'd you say you'd be in it, then?
This is a guy who plays calculator games in class and recorded our biology teacher's lecture to us about how bad our grades are (I'm a B, I don't know what's wrong w/everyone alse) ON HIS CELL PHONE. IN CLASS. stressed

Neko Kafweenu Aryah Hey! What if you add a poll, neko, about what everyone's fave equip is? like... silk/flag, sabre, rifle... other... (I love sabre and chain silks, personally *heh*) just a thought. What's a chain silk? it just a flag that's on a specially made chain, instead of a flag pole, or a swing flag pole.... *shrugs* it's really fun, but it really hurts if you're not careful And wow, Tohru!... do you know both kinds of speed/peggy spins on flag?Oh... and I dunno, but I think you forgot Double Butterflys
Hrm, I chose Sabre as my fave equipment, though. It was litterally the first piece of equipment I ever picked up, and it just seemed so easy for me. Guess I'm kind've a natural like you, Tohru *hehee*

Oo... double butterflies are fun. They're in our parade routine, which is basically just drop spins and butterflies, with a few angles and the flat excersize.

Aryah Well you can learn sabre fast but I'm not sure that's what scott, jenn, mike, and Kari meant but natural talent because I'm not a fast learner. I just I don't know really.
Nefo Well your Sabre Line can be extremely talented but If they are given decent work that they are cabable (yea baker county edumaction don me bad) Of doing then it won't be worth having a Good Sabre Line. Ya know what I mean.
Butterflies are okay but We get to toss in our Parade because our head instructor wanted us to do something that was really retarted and she wasn't going to be at the parade and last year my sister was cocapt and the capt was in a car wreck so she weren't there, so basicly my sister just says yall wanna do this instead and we were like yea (expect the cheerleader reject b***h that was on there that wanted to do the reject cheerleader like thing but she like what my sister made up too) so we did it in the 1st parade and we had another on that day and we showed our cap and guard tech and we showed them what our coach wanted us to do and (our capt still couldn't march she just walked by us) and they were like there is no way yall are doing that and we did what our co capt made up basicly.
