Aphrodite smiled as she waved at Kay, Cato, and then Salem. "I'll watch her." The wasp mishap smiled, stilling sitting on Delphi's head.
Catherine sighed, kissing her Daughter's forehead. "Does it still hurt?"
Nariko shook her head, her mama could always make booboos go away. Resting her head on Catherine's should the toddler sighed. "I'm being punished, huh?"
Catherine nodded. "Yep, no egg hunting.. ok? And as a way to say your sorry for hitting him you have to give Cato some of your eggs."
Nariko burbled into her mother's shirt.

Cato continued to cling to his egg even after they reasoned that it was his egg and no one elses. He was not going to lose Blank, no matter what!
Salem smiled as he watched Delphi crawl away before turning that same smile to Kay. "I'm real sorry about all this. It's not the first time that Cato has pulled that little stunt. We're still working on that. See, he collects pretty things. By collect I sadly mean take without permission and hide some place in his room... This time it seems he's found Delphi's fins to be pretty. I have to admit, they are lovely, but that wasn't quite the way I would have told her so personally." His smile was a little more sheepish now as he started walking. "Shall we go sit down again?" That said he started to make for the spot where they had been sitting before, settling down once again with Cato still in his lap.
Cato clung to his egg even then, curled up in Salem's lap and nothing short of trying to glare holes through the little ice maiden near by. His cheek was still bruised and puffy because of her!

Nariko continued to burbled into her mother's shirt, blinking looking over to Cato. Turning her back to him for a moment she reached towards her basket and picked out three of the six eggs she had found. Turning back towards him she silently placed them into his lap. "Sorry." She turned, her back pressing against her mother's chest.
"Aw.. hunny.." Catherine sighed taking out the saleve once more to rub it onto Cato's cheek. "Here.. this'll make it feel better."

Cato blinked as he now found three eggs in his lap next to his big one. He was a little confused by this and whined loudly when he suddenly found himself in pain. The pain soon faded, but he didn't look happy about the fact that Catherine had startled him.
Salem smiled softly. "Heh... There you go Cato. Even though you can't look for eggs you got three more. Do you have anything to say to Nariko?"
"No!"
Salem sighed softly. Well... It had been worth a shot at least...

Delphine had managed to crawl all the way back over to the bushes. Reaching in with a chubby hand she groped about in the leaves for a minute, and then her hand re-emerged holding the bunny ears, now with rather alot of leaves stuck to them. She stuffed an ear in her mouth, burbled happily around it to Aphrodite and began to crawl back towards Cato.
Kay nodded and sat down on the grass with the group again. "I understand it's not like Delphine's a complete angel either." She grinned and then watched the aforementioned mishap carefully as she approached Cato, bunny ears still dangling from her mouth. "Delphine." Kay cautioned sternly, not wanting a repeat performance of the chaos from earlier.
Delphi paused to glance at her guardian and gave her a look that said, what? I'm not doing anything! Honest!

Aphrodite laughed a bit, smiling at her baby mishap mount. "Hehe." Nestling in Delphine's hair she blinked watching out incase something else happened.
Catherine sighed. "I'm sorry for scaring you Cato-sweetie." She sighed still globbing on more of the salve until the swelling went down. "Better?"

Salem smiled slightly as he watched his love patch up his little one's cheek. "There ya go, Cato. Better?"
Cato still didn't look very happy with Catherine and soon pushed her hand away, looking down at Delphine. He looked down at her pretty fins once again before slowly reaching down with his second left hand. He ran his open palm over her fin, smiling softly down at it. Well... At least he wasn't trying to take it home with him again...

Kay sat very still as Cato reached out to touch one of Delphine's fins... would he? She sighed slightly and relaxed as he merely ran his hand over it.
Delphine had also sat stock still as Cato reached out to her. Her yellow eyes looked around nervously, but she felt the small reassuring weight of Aphrodite on her head so stood her ground.
She ruffled her fins uneasily as he touched one. Delphi still hadn't quite forgiven him for trying to tear them off earlier, so as he took his hand away she held up the bunny ears with a wicked grin, well as wicked as a baby's smile could be anyway. "Bah!" she insisted; would Cato ever look funny in them! Her fins and tail twitched gleefully at that thought.

Salem didn't look any more sure then the others, watching Cato nervously. Oh, good. That was okay. A soft smile touched his lips as he allowed himself to settle down and cuddle against Catherine's side, watching the children.
Cato blinked as the ears were held up, looking at them funny. Bunny ears? Aw, well. And so the toddler took the ears, or more like snatched them away and brought the head band like part up to his mouth and promptly started to chew on them. He had not desire to put them on his head, but it gave him something to do and, apparently, chew on.

Aphrodite giggled a bit, sitting on Delphine's head happily. "Hehe.. that works, but I think she wanted you to wear it."
Nariko sighed as she looke dinto her basket and opened what was left of her eggs eating the chocolates and candy inside. Hmmm.. cavities.
Catherine smiled, nuzzling back into Salem. "Right after this is over, we need to go back home for the Spring Party."

Salem nodded slightly to his love, smiling softly. "Yeah. I need to finish up a couple of things, but I'll be right down to the party after that.
Cato looked up at the little wasp child as he continued to chew. Ignoring her he looked over at Nariko now, blinking all four emerald eyes at what she was going. The eggs... Open...? He looked down at the ones in his lap and popped them open like she had, looking down at the sweets with little interest. Pushing them over to her sense he didn't want them he looked at Blank's egg now. Was he supposed to open Blank too? And so he tried, but to no avail. Finally he looked up at his Daddy and held up the egg. "Open Blank!" He commanded.
Salem blinked at the egg suddenly in his face. "I can't kiddo. Catherine is the only one that can open Blank's egg." Before he could say any more on the subject he'd lost Cato's attention.
"Open Blank Mommy!" Came the new command as he thrusted the bronze egg at Catherine now. "Open Blank!" He pleaded, looking up at her with large hopeful green eyes.

Catherine blinked as the bronze egg was thrusted in her face. "Um.. sure, but not with that additude, you need to learn how to ask nicly. Like saying 'Please'." Catherine sighed as she lifted Nariko off her lap, seeing the pleading in Cato's eyes. "Come on.. I'll do it." She smiled, as she stood with a bit of effort. Walking a few steps infront she turned, gesturing her head for Cato to come with her. "Salem, can you watch Nariko if you please?"
And so, before the little ice maiden could run off and be free in the wilds of the yard.. she was halted, practically slamming her face into Salem's leg as she flopped on top of him... and thus burbled into his jeans.

Salem stiffled a snicker as the toddler flopped onto his lap and commenced the annoyed drooling. He'd taken care of children for many years and so was very used to being drooled on, thrown up on, hit, scratched, bit, and anything else a small child could think of. Drooling wasn't something that bothered him much at all so all he could do was smile down at the toddler determined to leave a wet spot on his shorts, finding it kinda cute.
Cato blinked and very quickly fixed what he had said, "Please open Blank Mommy!" Well... He had said please, but his tone hadn't really changed in the least... A bright smile came to his lips, even showing his tiny fangs as Catherine agreed. He stood himself up quickly, flailing for a moment to keep his balance before following. He knew Blank had to have something much better then those other eggs. He was a lot bigger and prettier! He was bound to have something really great, right?

Catherine smiled as she grasped one of Cato's free hands, leading him away from Salem to a small clearing towards the side to a small dirt patch. Taking a stick in her hand she began to draw a magic circle into the ground around herself and Cato. As soon as she was finished the lines began to glow a light golden color, turning to him she smiled. "Cato, I want you to place Blank in the middle of this ok?"

One of Delphine's chubby hands reached down to grasp one of the sweets from Cato's discarded egg. She looked over it curiously, admiring the shiny foil. Deciding that it might be worth a taste, she then cautiously put the tiny chocolate egg into her mouth, hoping it taste better than the bigger egg it had been inside.
Kay had wandered off aways to retrieve Delphine's basket, it only had a couple of eggs inside, so on spying a lovely pink one on her way back she quickly popped it on the basket - hey it wasn't like there weren't tonnes around to share!
She arrived back at the group just in time to spy Delphi spit the egg out with a disgusted face. Shaking her head in amusment she picked up the drool covered sweet, unwrapped it and handed the now foil free egg back to Delphi. "You have to take the foil off it first silly!"
Delphine accepted the slightly mushed chocolate egg back gingerly. It didn't look at all appetising, but she gave it a sniff, decided it didn't smell to bad and popped it into her mouth.
Her guardian let out a giggle at the rapturous expression on Delphi's face. "You like chocolate then huh? Well enjoy that one, because you won't be getting to much of it." She wiped some escaped chocolate from around Delphi's mouth. "The last thing I need is a Delphi on a suger high."
