...Are you a retard? Does it matter if you capatilize?! I mean really. It doesn't matter its not like they spelt it wrong. Oh and you know what I spell it:
Dir En Grey
What are you gonna do about it? People can do whatever they want if they capatilize letters that you think are supposed to be lower case nobody cares. It's internet you can't do anything about it. So..this thread was pointless.

Not saying it really bothers me, but the capitilization matters if the band has a specific spelling. I expect the name was meant like a sentence, and the "en" shouldn't be capitilized in any sense, considering it follows the same rule for grammatical articles. It would be like saying "Cat In The Hat" when it should be "Cat in the Hat." It's just the little, logical reasonings that some picky people prefer to see. I don't think it's a matter of doing anything about it, but merely ranting that it's being used more often than not. There's no need to get upset about it.
Anyways, I don't really care if it's capitalized incorrectly, but spelling is an issue. 'Diru' is fine, considering it's just part of the name's Japanese syllabary.

Honestly, I don't even know why it matters, they've spelled it all three ways on the official site, and i'm wearing a shirt that i got at FVT that has it written as "Dir en Grey"..... i get more pissed off by people pronouncing die's name as "dee-eh"... suck on that!

The only thing that really bothers me is horrid spelling ie. Dir en gray, Dir in grey, stuff like that. Sometimes I accidently write Dir en Grey, but it's not that bad. and of course, if just saying Deg, i use DeG too. If you don't it just looks like "Deg. What a deg?"
And about Die, I just refrained from saying his name altogether until I learned his real name was Daisuke, just to be safe. Cow-roo.... Cowru. that's how I spelt Kaoru from Kenshin's name for a while... 'cause I was a dumb middle schooler, but that was before my days of Diru fandom. And I don't have a problem with Diru.
hehe.. I do get pissed when I see hide "fans" spell it Hide.... makes me want to shoot them.
I'm just pissed 'cause EA insists that it's pronouced Dill en Glay. Dill like the pickle. I'd be happier if she just used the English r sound rather than turn them into a PICKLE. 'Cause she can't seem to grasp the Japanese 'r' sound.
Kee-yo. Oh, my Kee-yo. It irks me when people say that... and To-kee-yo and Kee-yo-toe. It's KYO. K-Y-O. KYO. ONE SYLABLE. NOT Kee-yo. KYO.
Sheen-yah. Not Shin-yuh. Sheen-yah.
And the girls who say 'Tot-chi' Like tater tot. *shudders* It's like those idiots who say Gackt. 'Gackt' instead of 'Gah-kct' And Man-uh instead of Mah-nah. And 'Ta-ee-ji'. It's Taiji. And Mai-yu. No. MEE-YU. YES. Like 'me-you'. Dee-eh.... hehehe....

EA is my best friend's older sister who thinks she knows more about Dir en grey than me. Just because she heard them first, but I had listened to them before I met her. She seems to think the 'r' sound really is an 'l'.

The 'r' sound is just more of a rolled sound. They can't even pronounce 'l' properly, hence the term Engrish. >__> How odd.
