Reiku nearly jumped out of his skin as Michael's voice sounded behind him, and he resisted the urge to hide the kimono behind his back. Not that it would have done any good anyway. Judging by his cmment, Michael had already seen it, and hear dreiku's comments regarding it as well. He blushed hotly, looking down at the blue tinted garment in his hands.
"H-h-hai, I liked the color... it was on the wrong rack, ne? I mean, I didn't de-deliberatley... I mean..." The boy's voice trailed off as he began to murmure something unintelligible.
Aw, poor Inoue, Sachiko thought, watching the boy's obvious discomfort. She never realized how easily startled the boy was, and to be honest, it surprised her. He always looked so standoffish, she just assumed him to have a much stronger personality than the one she was finding him to truly possess.
"Wow, that really would match nicely, ne, Yohokiro-san. Nice choice. I love the blossoms on it, soooo pretty. You guys really have great eyes to have spotted them. It's a good thing we got here early, ne?" She giggled softly, liking Michael all the more for not only making Reiku feel bad, but for being so understanding. anyone could see the poor guy was nervous enough.
"Sure, yohokiro-san, I'm sure I can, but what would you like me to do to it? I wouldn't want to make you look girly, ne?"
"dark red.... you think so? Hmm, maybe you're right..." Renji twisted his lips thoughfully as he sorted through the racks. "I'm sure you can spot a couple black ones if you look ard enough... unless the goth girls snatched them up alrady." Renji snorted a bit as he examined a deep crimson yukata with silver embellishments embroidered throughout it. Maybe.... As he was still pondering, Jezz stuck the bow to his head. He grinned at her, then began to pose, draping the yukata in front of hm, still on it's hanger.
"Really? Is it me? Not too much, I hope. Does it match my hair?"

"Wha... I.. uh.. Hai, Nyas-sama! You mean you wanna go with me?"
The girl was elated, and was almost back to her old bouncy self at the news. Her step had become noticably lighter before they had even stepped into the store.
"Oh, Nyas-sama, I don't know what to say! I can't tell you how excited I am. I was so sure you were gonna give me a kick in the butt and tell me to scram like some pestering kid. I mean, I know I'm young. And small. and annoying. And some people think I even talk too much... can you belive that? I mean, is it so wrong that I have things to say? I mean, I don't like awkward silences and stuff. And there are always awkward silences, so, I f I just say what I have to say, then it's not so bad, ne?" Miko rested her head on Nyas' shoulder, barely taking time to draw a breath before rambling further.
"Oi, Nyas-sama, remember when we first met and we were talking about bands and stuff. Did you know the word isn't soaprunner? It's not, it's soprano. I can't believe I've been running around all this time sayng soaprunner. And no one corected me... I can't believe it... do you think people were laughing at me? Ack, I hope not, I can't stand the thought of people laughing at me...Oi, look, everybody's here already! Guess they heard the announcemet too." The girl did not release Nyas' arm as she began jumping up and down, waving to Sachiko... or rather, what appeared to be the tp of Sachiko's head over the shelves, she couldn't exactly see her face.
"See Sa-chan, I told you so! Kimons and yukatas, ne?" she shouted cheerfully, nearly completely forgetting she had been bawling her eyes out not so long before.

Ariko flipped through the yukatas biting his lower lip. He never was the best shopper, and when it came to such a formal affair, he felt rather dumbstruck as to what color to wear. "Heh,...well at least they make them all the same way,....ne Chojin?"
Sanzo looked at Ariko with a raised eyebrow. "What's wrong with you Ariko? Why do you sound so,....nervous?" He smiled at his friend and gave him a pat on the shoulder. "Don't know what to pick I see, looks like Sachiko is about ready."
He pointed to the girl and the violet kimono draped over her arm. "Why don't you just try to match her, she is your date, ne?"
Ariko looked in the direction of Sachiko and Reiku and smiled, thinking of how beautiful she was going to look with her eyes matching the cloth. "Good idea and all, but purple never was my color. Makes me feel all weird when I'm coated in the stuff."
Sanzo chuckled and decided to actually help him find something before his friend went crazy over choosing. "Why not just go with white? It matches your hair, and I'm sure you can find something with a bit of purple in it." Pushing aside a few other yukatas, he pulled out a white one decorated with violet lined floral patterns. Holding in front of Ariko and squinting at the boy, another smile appeared and he handed the robe to him. "May be a bit big around the shoulders, but it should fit. Now go get your woman, I have to find my own now."
Ariko took a step back as Sanzo held the robe out to him, shocked that he had found something in a matter of seconds. "I,....I,....I don't know what to say." He took the yukata in his hands and ran his fingers across the intricute floral pattern. "Arigatoo Chojin. I owe you a tea or some tacos or something." He smiled wide and ran back to Sachiko's side, elated to have something to match her kimono.
"Look Sachi,....what do you think? Sanzo helped me pick it out, he's knows I'm no good at this stuff."

Sachiko smiled brightly at her boyfriend as he appeared at her side, practically beaming about his own outfit.
"Great, Ariko.... Yatta, we can match without being overly disgusting about it, ne? Oh, I love the little flowers, so kawaii---" She was cut off by Miko calling to her. Standing on tiptoe she saw the girl waving at her and in obviously much better spirits. Sachiko waved back.
"Hai hai, Nanahara-chan. Never doubted you for a moment, ne?"

Cyndir grinned as he began to scan the racks, not entirely sure what he was going for at the moment. He snuck a discreet peek at the rest of the group. He almost felt bad for Inoue. The poor guy looked like he was going to die of embarassment. Cyndir could relate.
The thought alone startled him a bit, and he nearly walked right into one of the racks. He steadied himself, and looked down at what he had grabbed to stop himself from falling headfirst into the display of brightly hued garments. His eyes lit up at the sight. The fabric was a rich coppery red, and when he tilted it in the light, it shimmered between red and yellow. He was entranced immediately as he pulled the yukata from its place. There was a pattern of kanji characters painted into the silk with black, and on the back was, fittingly enough, a dragon. He held it up, hoping it was his size. He nearly laughed with delight as he looked around for Sanzo to see what he thought of it.

"Sure I still want to go with you." Chuckling a bit as Miko seemed to return to her normal self, Nyas pulled her into a hug.
"Nani? You thought I would what, now?" she raised a brow at the girl, then shrugged as she continued her chatter. So cute. Nyas grinned as she bounced around, and looked when she started calling out to her friends.
"Oi, I guess they beat us to it, ne?"
She laughed again as they made their way over to the group.
"So, you guys made short work of findin' everything." she glanced at Reiku. "Ee, gomen, ya know? About earlier. Didn't mean to shove you, and all."

"Oh.... iie, it's nothing.... no big deal, ne?" Reiku ducked his head as nyas approached to apologize. He peeked at Miko through the screen of his bangs, seeing her a bit red-nosed and red-eyed, but, pretty much her usual chipper self.
"G-gomen nasai, Nanahara-san....I didn't mean---"
"Shush," Miko replied, flapping a hand dismissively. "Kawaai, is this what you're going to wear? Wow, it'll look amazing on you, ne?" Miko snatched the kimono from Rei's surprised hands and held it up against the boy's slight form. "Suggoi....it makes you're hair look so bright... and it makes your skin kinda pale, ne? Well... paler. I like the butterflies, super kawaii. Did you see any pink ones?"
"Actually, there are a lot of pink ones," Sachiko supplied helpfully. "So I guess that's the color you're going for, ne? Can't say I blame you, what with that pretty pink hair of yours. How about this one?"
Sachiko reached past Miko to pull a fushia hued kimono from the rack, trimmed with tiny blue and violet hearts. the pink was a few shades darker than Miko's hair, and she thought it matched the girl beautiful.
"Kawaii... don't you agree, guys?"
Renji slung the chosen yukata over his arm as he slung an arm around Jezz's shoulders.
"Oi, look who's here. Let's go say hi to Cyn-kun, ne?" Without awaiting a response he led the girl over, bow still stuck to his forehead, and he gave Cyndir's dyed locks a playful tug.
"Oi, oi, Rothyk, you ignoring me?" Renji caught sight of Sato as well, and a slight smirk crooked his lips as his arm tightened just a bit around Jezz's shoulders.

Cyndir whirled around, with a yelp when he felt someone tug his hair.
"Hey! What's the--Oh, Hi Ren-kun! What's with the bow?" he grinned at his friend and his glance flicked over the arm draped around Jezz's shoulders.
"Oi, so, you two are an item now? Who didn't see that one coming?" he gave his friend a playful punch to the arm. "You guys going to the dance together?"
The tall girl nodded, smile on her face.
"That's a pretty one, ne? I like it." She took the kimono from Sachiko and held it up to Miko. "Suggoi! What do you think, Neko-chan? Now I just need to find something to match."
She chuckled and started looking through the racks of yukata. How was she going to match pink? She pawed through a few more before finally finding one that was a deep blue, several shades darker than the hearts on the pink one. Along one side was a waterfall, the bottom made to look like a river. There was a pattern of windblown sakura petals across the rest of it.
"Neko-chan, what do you think?" she asked, holding it up.

Jezz didn't know where he was taking her until he just grabbed her and pulled. "I don't really wanna wear one of those though....It's like a dress...I don't do dresses" she leaned back into Renji's arm trying to slow down the progression of their movment. She felt oddly embarassed, seeing Cyndir and Renji holding her so closely. It was almost as if now the spot light was on them. She kind of pulled against Renji, as he tightened his hold on her, as she tried to hide or at least feel hidden.

Sanzo peered over the rack at the sound of Cyndir yelping. He saw Renji and the girl from detention on the other side joking with his boyfriend. Continuing his search through the rack, he finally found something not only in his size, but an appropriate color for him also.
Pulling an extra long yukata from the rack, the bright orange silk shimmered under the lights, revealing a watermark type dragon pattern sewn into the flowing cloth. Walking around the rack and wrapping his arm around Cyndir's shoulders, Sanzo smiled and greeted the others there.
"Hello Jezz, hi Renji. Found your clothes already too. Good thing we didn't wait til the last minute, ne?"

When Kiria and Shuriku looked around they noticed that the group they had talking to was starting to form here again. Suddenly she could see Miko, happily being her old self.
After she had obtained her kimono she quickly walked to Miko and Nyas. Ignoring herf riends mumbeling from the line.
"I'm glad to see you all better now" She said kindly towards Miko.

"Konban wa, minna," Renji greeted the group at large. He reached up with the hand that held his Yukata and snatched the bow off his forehead, in turn sticking it to Cyndir's. "I'm started a trend.... join me."
"Geeze, a guy disappears for a bit and the group grows an awful lot, ne? Isn't that Shinohara over there with Sato? Guess he had to find some sort of reound after you, ne Jezz-chan?" Blue eyes darted back to Cyndir, and he had a response to his latter statement.
"Oi, Cyn-kun, trying to put a guy on the spot, ne? Well, I'll say tis... We are if you and Chojin are. Oi, that reminds me, still got that present I got you the other day? You didn't open it without me? You promised."
"Hai hai, Nyas-sama, I love it! How are you going to wear your hair, thoug? I didn't think you'd wear a yukata... don't you like kimonos? But I guess It would be kinda hard to find one in your size... you wouldn't have a lot of hoices anyway, ne? But it doesn't matter cuz that one is going to look super cool on you, I just know it. It'll go really nice with your dark hair..... black hair goes with everything, ne?" With a thougtful pout, Miko gave her bubble gum hued locks a tug.
"Oi, hi hi Ren-kun!" Miko spun around in surprise as Kiria spoke to her, and she gave the girl a smile as well. "And hi hi to you, too, Ki-chan. Oh, you picked out your kimono too. So you caught the announcement too, ne? I feel bad for the kids that naturally tune them out... they'll all be stuck in like green and brown and stuff, ne?"
Sachiko made her way over to Ariko once Miko had taken the kimono she had found for her. She looped her arm through Ariko's and rested her head upon his shoulder, smiling up at him.
"You're awfully quiet.... Not stupified by the sight of your old flame, ne?" Though she said it in a joking tone, she couldn't help but feel a tiny pang of jealousy towards Jezz.

Ariko smiled as Sachiko looped her arm within his and rested against his shoulder. But when she asked him about his 'old flame', the smile dimmed a bit as he looked to her. "Not in the least Sachi. That flame died as quickly as it was sparked, no hard feelings or nothing." He pulled her a little tighter against his side and leaned into her a bit, kissing her atop her head.
"Plus, I think I ended up with the better end of the deal. Motoki can deal with the basket case, I'd rather stay with you any day of the week."

"Whats wrong with the colour green!" Shuriku said, obvious pretending to be mad...but he just wasn't cut out to act. "Heya guys...Well i think i know who you going to hang out with all the festival long. Feel sorry for Nyas already" He said joking but felt a quick elbow in his stomach from Kiria.
"Stop with those jokes...Why youre always making those jokes when youre nervous?"" She said grinning a bit. "Acctually i see alot of the group paring up with eachother" Kiria contineud.

Michael smiled, stealthily putting his arm around Rei's waste as people began to gather in the shop. "I agree with you. Um, Miko-san, correct? I'm so glad that we'll be able to match well, that way we'll look so amzing when we dance together, 'and' when we're crowned king and king," Michael said with a mischievious tone in his voice.
He smiled as Sachiko pulled the pink kimono out of the rack. "Kakkoi! Sachiko-chan, you have such a good eye. I really love it. It'll look so good on you, Miko-san.
He turned to Nyas as she began to choose and smiled with a huge grin. "Oh, Chou kirei ne! It'll look so great on you. Oh, it just has a suddle match, daisuki yo!"

"Nothing's wrong with green... or at least there didn't used to be until I got here and can't avoid it. So, going for those extra credits, ne Shi-kun?" Miko giggled softly before returning her attention to Yohokiro as he spoke to her.
"San? Bleah, no need to be so formal. You can just call me Miko, ne? So, you and Rei-kun are going out? Suggoi.... you must be a good influence on him. It's so weird seeing him outside of the cafeteria or the library, now you're turning him into a regular social butterfly." She giggled again giving Reiku a smile, even as his blush deepened.
"Awww, kawaii... you've turned into such a blusher. Way cuter than those scowls of yours, ne?"
"Back to your old self, I see, Nanahara-san..." Reiku murmured, temporarily forgetting the garment in his arms. He bowed his head, unconsciously leaning into Michael as he slipped his arm about his waist.
"Well, maybe we should go pay for these.... I hope I have enough."
"Iie, inoue-san, the announcements said they were free. You just need your ID so that students don't come back bunches of times to get more, ne?" Sachiko took Ariko's hand and swung it absently as she spoke, not really even noticing she had done it. It felt perfectly natural, after all.

"Ah, domo. Then please, call me Michael." He grinned comefortingly. "I would like to think that I change people for the better."
He turned his head to Sachiko when she stated about pricing. "Aa... Arienai! That's great! Especialy because I don't have very many credits right now. Mm... Ah, goodness, is it eight already? Wow, time flies when you're with friends." He squeezed Rei a little closer, reenforcing that statement.
Yes, that statement. Not only did Reiku have Michael as a boyfriend and companion, he had friends beyond Ariko now and that was something he could bolster with effort. He didn't have to be so withdrawn anymore. He had friends.
