Averti' nodded and smiled. She had a feeling she knew why Mirage had come too. She stood up and trotted up to the small group and nuzzled Luck in greeting.

Luck noticed Sun's hesitation and nuzzled her as he got to her. "What's up? What's bothering you?" He had a good idea, but figured she needed to get it out.
Luck nuzzled Averti in greeting and smiled at her. Then turned his attention back to Mirage and Sun.

Luck smiled at Sun reassuringly and looked toward Mirage as he started to speak.

He gulped. He never had to do this with his parents. And now, he had two looking at him. I wanted to take Sun as my mate, and for her to join me in my fathers herd for a time. There. he had said it.

Sun could sense Averti's sadness and her ears went back sadly. She knew it would hurt her that's why she couldn't say it before.
