She wasn't the only cute girl in this school, he thought nastily, his mood positively horrid. Hell, she wasn't the only cute kid in the school. And he had no trouble getting attention, even before her bright idea with the uniforms. Ugh, why was he getting all upset about it? His hand tightened convulsively around the pine green paper bag he held and he shoved open the double doors that led outside.

Jezz glanced down the hallway as Renji slammed through the door. She bit her lip anxiously. Had she taken it too far?

He was the one who called her a lesbian and then started up and being nasty when she even stopped to talk to a guy when they hadn't even known each other for even a day.

Her lip still under her teeth she looked up at Ariko and gave a soft smile. I guess I could, I don't have anything else to do. And with that she slide her smaller hand into Ariko's and let herself be led away.

Ariko walked down the hallway with Jezz at his side. Hand in hand they walked towards a door at the end of the hall marked exit.

"Let's go this way, that place I told you about is through this door. You're about to experience the most freedom you'll get to for a while at least."

Ariko opened the door and gave a tug on Jezz's hand.

"Come on, I won't do anything I'm not allowed. I am a bit of a gentleman, you know. I could never disgrace a lady by going against her wishes. And a second ago you were all set to go. Now that we're almost there, you want to get cold feet? I don't think so, you'll thank me for this later."

Ariko gave Jezz a smile and another tug. "Let's go." He turned and pulled her through the doorway to reveal a set of stairs. "Up we go."

Ariko began to run up the steps. With Jezz in tow, they reached the top and approached another door. Ariko released Jezz's hand and removed the heavy iron bar that blocked the door from opening. He turned to Jezz with one hand still on the door. He smiled and gave the door a push.

"Welcome to paradise, enjoy your stay miss."

It figures...the one time he steps outside of his comfort zone, he gets presented with the very reason for it's existence. He felt like the worst kind of fool, the kind that just couldn't learn from his mistakes. It was quite the bitter pill to swallow.

Michael's face kept flashing before his mind's eye, his voice echoing in his head. I'm not that way, I'm not that way, I'm not....The sentament bounced around over and over. That was exactly what He had said, wasn't it? It was the reason Reiku had reacted so strongly to Michael's words, because that was not the first time he'd heard that phrase.

Ugh, he had really had a public outburst? God, he wanted to die for the shame of it all. He gave a frustrated tug at his bergundy tinted hair.

Michael was racing after Reiku, trying hid damndest to catch him. He finaly found him, sprinting up to him. "Inoue-san, Reiku, please, just stop a second. I didn't... I didn't mean it like that. I just... I got carried away. I just with all the stuff going on and... and what happened before... and... and..." He kept trying to come up with excuses but they were all shot down with a 'stupid' tag in his head before he could finish them.

Then, one finaly got through. "I'm... I'm sorry." His voice wavered like he was about to cry. He stopped moving, feeling like a total a** hole. "Gomennasai."

No sooner had Reiku hesitated, debatig where to go, when Michael suddenly caught up with him. He turned slightly away, not wanting the boy to see anymore of his distress, he was more than embarassed enough as it were.

"Don't worry about it," he replied flatly. "You don't have to apologize to me. You feel the way you feel, ne? Nothing I can do about it. It's my fault anyway. I told you I don't know how to talk to people. " Reiku sighed. "I had not meant to embarass you."

"No, no it's not. I don't feel that way, I just... I have some issues in my past that... that put up a barrier and I just really... It's hard to talk about, but it's not you. You were being great and funny and stuff and I just threw it in your face. I'm really really sorry."

He grabbed his own arm uncomefortably, but he looked up trying to meet Reiku's eyes, but the boy's back was to him and he did not want to push too much.

Reiku exhaled, feeling a bit more in controll of himself. He looked to Michael, though he never quite met the other boy's eyes. He shook his head slightly.

"Please stop apologizing. I makes me feel weird. It's fine, ok?" Reiku shrugged as he clutched his arms tightly in front of himself.

He shook his head. "No... It's not. It's really really not. I... I owe you an explanation. I just... I just can't do it here. Would you mind if we went to my room or something? I just... I've never really poored my heart out before."

Gwen emerged into the hall. Two guys were having a conversation in the middle of the hall. She didn't want to get in the way, so she looked at the floor and edged her way around them, before looking up and continuing to saunter down the hall.

Hmmm... she thought, It's my last night FREE of homework. I should go figure out stuff...I'll swing by Sanzo's room I think...

Reiku took a moment to consider. Well, Michael had a point. It do no good to hold such a serious discussion out in the middle of the hallway. Especially as a girl scooted past them, one he did not even slightly recognize. With a sigh Reiku acquiesced, giving a short nod.

"All right.... we can go to your room, I guess. Let's go." He headed in the direction of the male dormitories, going slowly so as not to outdistance the other boy.

"Right." He moved with Reiku, making sure that he remembered his room. B-3...9! That was it! He was sure of it. Alright.

The move up the hallways fealt somewhat awekward, with all this thing going between them. He wondered what was going to happen. Would Reiku believe him? It was true, all he planned to tell, but he just wasn't sure if Reiku would believe him or not.

Kenjo strolled down the hallways, flipping through a pile of papers attached to a clipboard. Classes had long been done for the day, but the Chemistry professor had stayed in his lab after hours to finish grading the day's quizzes. Well that and he had fallen asleep on his desk for a good hour or so. He tossed a pen up in the air and caught it, only to perch it over his ear. Blinking, he took the pen down and put it into his pocket. Damn, but when had he picked up that habit? The only one he knew who did that was one of his students, Cyndir Rothyk. That boy was just too good natured not to like, even if he had a horrible habbit of scaring the lving daylights out of the professors with his way of walking like the dead. He almost felt bad for zapping him. He sighed and tucked the pen over his ear again. Maybe he'd see what Dean Yuromeshi was up to. Kenjo had taken quite the fancy to the irrepressable redhead, whether she knew it or not. He was a bit surprised to see students still in the halls.

((will leave him here so someone who's bored can interact with someone! xd ))

Julian scuffed down the hall. She stared at the ground, navigating by watching the shadows on the floor. She saw someone in the distance and immediatly changed course. She was aimlessly wandering, without a care as to where she ended up.

Keiran ran down the hallway as fast as he could. He didn't even look back. He felt scared and ashamed at the same time. Guilt washed through him like a poison and tears started to cloud his vision. He ran into a few kids and ran right through them. He could hear curses but it didn't matter. Nothing mattered. He just had to get away.
