Is the bridge breaking the panel borders too much?
Yes, definitely, it doesn't add anything.
  No, it's bridge-like and nifty.

I'm sorry for my absence...things got a bit hectic with life. SAT, preparing for AP classes, preparing for ASVAB...

As far as I can tell, you summarized what we've been saying and more.

Actually I rewrote the existing defenses, of which I wasn't able to find my old copy.

You know, eventually we're going to have to sketch a basic map of the area, and include outpost placements.

We'll need someone that's good with paint then. XD

But yeah, a good artist willing to devote some time can create some pictures, like what you see when a company unveils a new building or something.

You're current anime addiction is hentai o_o...

Have you no shame!

First: It's not hentai unless there's sex in it. Nudity doesn't count.
Second: "No shame" would probably involve putting a ban-worthy image in her sig, or just linking to 4chan's /d/

So, aside from defenses, what are we going to have that makes this outpost recruitworthy? Are we going to conscript ourselves to a certain post requirement in the outpost per day / week?

Frankly, I have no idea what you people are talking about anyway. The thread title said "OUTPOST DEFENSES", so I posted outpost defenses. I don't know what your intentions are. ^^

This is actually a thread for the recruitment outpost in particular. 3nodding I don't think recruitment should be about posts per week, but I do think we should treat the recruitment outpost thread we eventually make as another main RP area (with serious retcon/ignore capability since we're open to the public there).

I am working on a map, though it's hard to fit a spacecraft on a piece of land the size of one Gaia Map (which is something I really wanna do)...Isle De Gambino is one of the biggest ocean-locked landmasses after all.

Not unless you count the Doujinshi. There is only one clean, barely eechi, doujin I've found so far.

The rest are in a hidden folder. DX

Anyways I'll be willing to post in the thread regularly, if it is created.

Superdeform it 3nodding

ASDF craft are spherical, since it leads to better distribution of armor, fewer weakpoints in the hull, and the best possible volume to surface area ratio. ^^

Whereas I've been building my ships in O/M through traditional anime lines. Long and only powerful when you come head on and from the back...very few defenses in the middle...

I suck... At least it works.

gonk Spherical ships with hexagonally-shaped plating... I can't get the darn things to not look like the Epcot Center or the Soccer Ball That Godzilla Lost. sweatdrop Anyways, I ended up with a somewhat SD'd Tokugawa (that suggestion really helped, Tanasha). Gaia Fisheye Lens Map Perspective being the horrible thing it is to draw, the thing appears to be listing a little...but um...it's the perspective. Really.

Concept Image, not final...except that darn ship.

  • Ok, the right side of the island will be set up as a harbor for Gaian Navy ships. (which is why there's a gap in that black double line there.)
  • The black double lines are going to get some vertical bars, and end up being the White House perimeter fence style fencing that was suggested by Jusuchin.
  • Four fully enclosed watchtowers, the one on the right offcenter to allow for the Naval dock.
  • Center Stage is the concept for the actual Recruitment Center building. Civvies get to go here and sign up.
  • Artistically, all the water colors will be getting brightened up, and the water will all be reworked. When I'm done, it'll look drinkable darn it! stressed
  • The gap to the southeast in the fence is intended as the entry checkpoint for people not coming in by ship. I'm gonna put a bridge off that part, but not show the land where the bridge leads. Apparently L0cke has the entire map of Gaia drawn out somewhere, so rather than risk the admins releasing a new map segment making my custom map obsolete, we'll just ask people to use a tiny bit of imagination.
  • At the foot of the west-most tower will be a small runway for fightercraft to launch and land at. The actual hangars are within the Tokugawa, so there is a path leading to the ship.

That's all for now ninja

Not meaning to be too critical, but isn't the hangar of the Tokugawa the bow of the ship?

Wouldn't it be better to have the planes closer to the bow, meaning either we move the vessel or the runway?

You're so right sweatdrop I'll see if I can mirror the Tokugawa without making it look odd.
