Israel shivered at his gentle touch and the cold cream on her burning feet. Both felt really good.
"No," she smiled, restraining from shaking her head. "I was having a wonderful evening actually," she smiled even more, her cheeks shading a slight pink as her mind wandered back to her first kiss. "That's probably why I ended up hurting myself in the first place. I wasn't paying any attention to what I was doing." She was in enough pain, she didn't need to bring up her father, she thought to herself. Focusing on Ra's gentle touch and the afternoon spent with Sora she started to relax. His next statement drew another small concerned frown.
"Those must be wicked sleeping pills," she ginned slightly, concern still coloring her eyes.

Ra caught the dreamy hint to her voice and the blush that coloured her cheeks when she spoke of what a good evening she had been having. Grinning to himself he guessed Sora must have made his move. He wondered whether to make a jokey comment. Why not, his mind declared. It was better to see anyone laugh than in pain. "You managed to tame Sora then?" He asked casually ripping open the packet of gauze, making sure only to touch the bandage part.
"And the pills, yeah. Which is why I don't take them often. It amuses me that I would rather endure the cause than the remedy." Lifting her heel onto his knee he placed the Gauze gently on the top of one of her feet and began to wind the bandage round.

Israel's eyes widened at Ra's sudden question, then started to giggle as her cheeks went from pink to red.
"Well... I don't know about taming him. I don't think anyone could do that. Maybe rein him in a little?" she suggested, the happy sparkle back in her eye. As a thought struck her, she scrunched up her face in a thoughtful frown. "What made you think I was talking about Sora in the first place?" she asked, wiping the frown away and grinning again.
She nodded gently at his assesment about the pills, immediately regretting it and closing her eyes tightly trying to think of anything but the feeling in her stomach. "I don't think I'm going to argue with you about taking one of your pills," she said softly, with a slight grimace.

Ra laughed about her description of Sora, tying the bandage lightly. "I'm wise, I know these things." He said with a friendly smirk, he didn't want to mention 'guy talk.' Too many bad conotations. He moved onto the other foot, opening another packet and doing exactly the same. "There." He said tying it in place. "You might want to get them checked out propely with the nurse tomorrow." He said sitting back and crossing his legs. "But I wouldn't worry too much. I've had worse." He smiled again and picked up the tablets.
Managing to aquire a glass of water Saki returned to the bathroom to find Is all patched up. She looked at Ra and handed Is the water. "You're kitchen is insane." She declared. Taking up residence on the toilet lid once more. "I mean it's so organised, yet it took me ages to work out where the glasses were." She shook her head and looked back at Is. "Are you feeling any better?"

Israel eyed his smirk suspiciously. So they've been talking about me. Questions burned on the tip of her tongue, but she held back. Some things were just better left unknown. She nodded again at his suggestion and ended up grimacing at her amnesia. If it made you sick the first time, it's going to make you sick the second time, she admonished herself silently.
With a shaky hand she reached out and took the glass from Saki mustering up a smile. "Loads. My feet are already feeling better thanks to Dr. Ra," she smiled at him, and reaching out to gently touch one of her bandaged feet. Sitting back she closed her eyes, trying not to think about the pounding in her head. This really sucked, she thought waiting patiently for Ra to hand her a pill.

"Yeah, my roommate likes to keep things organised." He grinned at the small asian girl. Now Saki had returned he opened the top and shook a pill into his hand. Passing it to Is he gave her grimace a look of concern. "Exactly how sick do you feel?" He asked softly. "Take that and wait here a minute. I'm going to give my dad a ring. See what he thinks." He knew it was late, but his father should be up. He stood up and exited the bathroom to retireve his mobile phone.
Saki was equally as concerned. The knock she had taken had been a pretty bad one. Once the boy had dissapeared out of the bathroom she leaned forwards resting her arms on her knees. "So how do you know 'Dr Ra'?" She asked quietly, half listening to the foreign conversation that came from the room.

Israel took the pill from him and popped it into her mouth then chased it down with a sip of water. "I'm alright... my head's just pounding really bad and it's making me dizzy," she answered him as she set the glass down on the bathroom tile. She watched him get up and walk out then looked a Saki with a small smile.
"I just kinda ran into him one day," she shrugged, thinking back to when they had met. "Since then we just keep running into each other randomly. He's really a nice guy, Saki. He didn't mean to do this," she said softly, thinking of Saki's harsh words.

Ra returned speaking hurridly in farsi into the phone. Crouching down next to Israel he took the phone away from his ear and switched to English. "Where did you hit your head?" He asked. "Which spot? I need to check something...or if you'd prefer Saki can look and tell me what she sees."
Saki raised an eyebrow and smiled. "I know. I was just really worried. That was one hell of a fall." Falling silent again as she returned she tried to follow his flitting between languages.

She smiled softly at Saki. So she hadn't meant those words. Maybe just didn't really understand them. Rooming together, Is had noticed that Saki tried really hard to master her English, but sometimes it wouldn't always come out quite right. She looked up at Ra as he walked back in speaking very fluently in a language she guessed to be his native one.
"You can look. I don't mind," she said, slowly pulling herself away from the wall to lean against the tub again. She glanced at Saki with a hint of worry in her eyes. Ra's seriousness was making her nervous. Slowly she leaned down so he could have free access to the back of her head, her stomach rolling as she did. She placed her hand gently over the tender spot.

"Uh sorry." He said forgetting that he hadn't explained anything. "My dad is a doctor. Head injuries are difficult so i thought I should ask his advice." Carefully he parted the spikey hair on the back of her head. There didn't seem to be any cuts, not even small ones, or bruising. Frowning he cradled the phone with his shoulder and spoke to his father once more. He looked carefully again and then stood up straight.
Talking more, saying his goodbyes and flipping the phone shut. "We should go to the hospital wing." He said seriously. "I don't think there's anything serious wrong. But my dad said it would be safer to get things checked out. Anything to do with the brain is worth getting looked at."

Israel laughed nervously. She hated hospitals. She avoided them like the plague. Even though she knew that the school's hospital wasn't a real one, it still made her nervous. Sitting back again she looked from Ra to Saki and back again. Clearing her throat, she asked, "Are you sure we have to?" Her rational mind knew he was right, but she really didn't want to go. How the hell do I manage to get myself into these messes, she wondered.

Ra nodded. "I know how you feel." He said catching her hesitation. "I don't like them much either but I know I'd feel better if we got you checked out. As this was my fault."
Saki nodded in agreement. "I think so too." She said standing up. "I mean as he said, head injuries are difficult."

"Stop saying that... if you say that one more time I'll.... do something. I'm not sure yet... but then you'll be sorry," Israel said pretending to be upset at his apology. She gave him a wink to show she was teasing then reached her hands up for someone to help her to her feet. "Alright then... I suppose if I try to argue I'll be outnumbered and it's getting way too late for that. Can someone help me up?" she asked with a sigh.

Crouching back down Ra put his arm around her waist and helped her up. He smirked at her joking as the three of them hobbled out of the bathroom. "Yeah, because you are in such a good condition for such fighting talk." He said, laughing.Saki let Ra help her up. Being much shorter than the both of them she knew she wouldn't be too much use. "I can always take him out for you Is." Saki said joining their laughter. "I'll use my genetic asian kung fu skills." ~~ Fade to Black ~~
