There wasn't much left Raven could think to talk about, and she hardly wanted to move into idle chatter. Sitting without activity was an even worse prospect, as a total waste of time. Frowning a bit, she cast her eye out onto the playground. Where had the children gotten to anyway?

"Anoki Kenelm?" she called tentatively, starting to become annoyed. If they had run off somewhere they would regret it.

When his name was called Anoki started and dropped the cup automatically. Had she seen him drink? He didn't think they could be seen there, but Raven always seemed to know when he was doing something he wasn't supposed to.
